Prologue
"*Sigh*... war never changes..." I said to myself, looking in the mirror for a good few minutes.
I had just gotten out of the shower, so I needed to shave. I used my magic to pick up my razor and began to shave some fuzz off of my upper lip. I heard a sudden knock and turned to open the door.
As I turned, though, I cut myself next to my mouth, making me jump.
"Sweetie are you alright?"
It was just my wife, who had probably just gotten back from the market.
"Yeah," I said as I put my hoof over the cut. "Just getting dried off."
"Okay! I'll be in the kitchen putting up the groceries." She said before heading to the kitchen.
After I washed my face to get the blood off of me, I left the bathroom.
I made my way to the kitchen to see my wife, Violet Storm, and my robotic handymare, Claire, washing the dishes.
"Hey, honey," I said, quickly pecking her cheek.
"Ah, good morning, sir. Here is your coffee, at 173.5 degrees Fahrenheit, brewed to perfection." Claire said.
"Thanks, Claire," I responded.
"You're very welcome, sir."
I picked the coffee cup up with my magic and took a swig. My wife looked right at me as she sat by me. I wrapped my wing around her shoulder.
"Code what happened to your mouth?" She asked.
"I accidentally cut myself while I was shaving."
“Are you okay?”
I nodded.
“You know you’re going to knock ‘em dead at the Veteran’s Hall tonight, hon.” She says, changing the subject.
“You think so?" I ask.
“Absolutely!”
I look at Violet's belly and gently rub it.
“The baby is going to be just like his mother.”
Violet chuckles. “But she’s going to have her father’s courage.”
“What should we name it?" I said.
“How does sunshine sound?”
“Beautiful.”
Just as I said that, the doorbell rang.
“Sweetie, can you get that? It’s probably that buisinessmare. She comes here every day for you!” Violet said.
I got up and opened the door. It was a Stable-Tec businessmare.
“Good Morning! Stable-Tec calling!” She said.
“Uh… Stable-Tec? Remind me again. “ I said.
“Why, we’re about you, sir! And helping secure your future!" The businessmare said. "You see, Stable-Tec is the foremost builder of 'Equestria of the Arts' ' underground Megaspell shelters. Stables, if you will."
The businessmare continued. "They're luxury accommodations, where you can wait out the horrors of total devastation. You can’t begin to know how happy I am to finally speak with you. I’ve been trying to contact you for the last few days, and since it’s a matter of utmost urgency, I assure you-“
I cut the businessmare off.
“What’s so important about this?” I ask.
“Well, nothing less than the future for you and your family! If you haven't noticed, sir, Equestria has gone to shit in a hoof basket!" The businessmare blurted out, probably unintentionally.
"Sorry… Excuse my language, it’s just very soon, the big kaboom is… inevitable, I’m afraid, and coming sooner than you may think. I know that you’re a busy stallion, so I won’t take up much of your time since time is a precious commodity. I’m here today to tell you that because of your family’s services for Equestria, you have been pre-selected for entrance into the local stable: 'Stable 111.'”
I ask: "Will there be room for my family?"
“Yes, of course there will be room for your family! Minus your robot, naturally. In fact, you’re already cleared for entrance. It’s just a matter of verifying some information. Don’t worry, though! There won’t be any holdups in the unforeseen event of…*ahem*… total annihilation. It won’t take any more than a moment.” The businessmare finished.
“Okay, sure. Let’s do this.” I say.
“Splendid! Splendid! Now, please, sign here.” She hands me a clipboard of the Stable-Tec list to sign in for Stable 111. I sign my name and my wife's name for the list.
“Wonderful! That’s everything. I'm just going to walk this over to the stable! Congratulations on being prepared for the future!”
“Thanks, ma'am. We’ll see you there.” I said to her as I closed the door.
“Hey, it’s peace of mind. That’s worth a little paperwork, right?” Violet says from the couch.
“For you and the baby, no price is too high.”
She chuckles at this comment. “Good answer.”
“I have my moments. So, Violet, maybe after breakfast, we could head to the park for a bit, since the weather is nice?”
“Yeah, sounds like fun!” Violet responded.
“Sir?! Ma’am?! You need to come and see this!!” Claire says from the kitchen.
“Claire, what’s wrong?” Violet asks. We both headed to the kitchen and looked at the mini television set. It was on the news channel.
“Followed by… yes, followed by flashing light and sounds of big explosions…. We’re trying to get confirmation.” The reporter on the screen said.
“What?" Violet says, worried. We both listen closer.
“Confirmed reports of megaspell detonations on Manehatten & Ponylvania.”
“Oh, sweet Celestia...” I looked at my wife and said: “Honey, we need to get into that stable NOW!!”
We then started trotting out of the house and tried to head in the direction of the stable before the bombs hit. It took us about a good few minutes to get there, but we finally arrived at the gate to the stable, as I tried to tell the gatekeeper we’re on the list. I see the salespony yelling at the guards blocking the gatekeeper.
“You can’t do this. That’s outrage! I am part of Stable-Tec! And neither you or your princess can stop me!”
The guards around the gatekeeper started firing some warning shots around the area to scare the ponies.
“WHOA! Okay, you win!”
I then walk through to speak to the gatekeeper.
“We need to get in. We’re on the list!”
“What’s your name?” he asks.
“I’m Code and this is my wife, Violet. Please, you got to let us in.”
He looked at the list and looked right at me. “Ok, go right ahead this way." He said. The gatekeeper looked at one of the guards. "Private, take this list and guard the gate while I take these two to the stable shelter.”
“Yes, Sir!” the guard responded.
“So, what’s going to happen to those ponies?” I ask while we’re moving.
“We’re doing everything we can, now keep moving!”
We trotted on high ground to reach the stable. When we arrived at the stable location, we were told by the guard pony to step onto the platform elevator.
“Honey, we’re gonna be okay, I love you.”
“I love you too, Code.”
As I was looking at my home right in the distance, I then noticed something from the clear blue sky. A falling light coming from the West of Hopeville. A few seconds later, a megaspell exploded right on impact. Me and the other ponies, even my wife, gasped in horror.
“Oh Celestia, we’re all going to die!!” screamed one of the ponies as he pulled out a knife & then began to slit his throat to commit suicide.
“Now! Now! Set it down right now!” screamed the guard to the officer.
“Hold on, everypony!” I said to the group. The platform started to move down to the stable. As we were about 12 feet down, we finally heard & felt the shockwave of the hit itself. Shortly after, we began to smell the debris of the bomb. It smelt worse than a garbage field full of rat piss & dog shit. A few minutes later, we finally made it into Stable 111.
“We did it, we’re here. Stable 111.” my wife said as she gave me a hug as she started to sob a little.
“It’s okay, Violet. Everything is going to be okay. I promise.” I said to her as I kissed her on the forehead.
“Alright everypony, please step off the elevator & proceed up the stairs in an orderly fashion.” called out one of the stable guards. We then headed out of the elevator platform & made our way to the door to Stable 111. As we went in, we then heard what I believed to be the overmare, speaking out of the intercom speakers.
“No need to worry, Everypony. We’ll get all of you situated in your new home in our best stable. A better place for all ponies in Equestria.”
We finally made our way to the stable line to check in to get fitted in.
“You’ll need your suits before we take you any further.” said one of the stable staff, as she gave me a Stable 111 jumpsuit.
“Uh… Thanks.”
“What now?” violet asked.
“Now you two just follow the doctor. He’ll show you where to go.” she pointed over to the pony she was referring to.
“Alright, you two, follow me.”
We then followed the doctor to the first floor of the stable.
“Oh, you two are going to love it here. This is one of your most advanced facilities. Well, not like the others aren’t great, mind you…” he said as we made our way to the second hallway on the right, ending up downstairs on the second floor of the place.
“So, how long will we be down here? “ my wife asked the doctor.
“We’ll be going over all that in orientation. Just a few medical items we have to get through first,” he said. We then took a stop at these stable pods in the middle of the room, with some ponies getting fitted in.
“Alright you two, put on your jumpsuits before entering the pods,” he said to Violet and I. We got our suits on, only taking a few moments. After that, I walked into the pod as my wife walked into hers across from me.
“Violet. I love you.” I said to her as the door closed.
“The pod will decontaminate & depressurize you before we need to go deeper into the stable. Just relax.” said the doctor as he then turned the power on to something. Neither I or my wife knew what it was at first, but I began to freeze as my body started to feel really numb. I then realized that this was not just an ordinary stable pod. It was a cryo chamber. The last words I said in my head before I went into cryo-stasis…

Chapter 3 Welcome to the Wasteland
I was still on the stable's elevator platform until i put a hoof over my face as a bridge light shine upon on my face as it been awhile since
i was last out of the surface.
"Ok not that bridge and i have the rights to complain, That not a flood light that the Sun! "
I said as the light shine upon my face, Second later the light of the sun got back to normal as i got my vision back, I then gasp as i saw for what left of my hometown that i live, now it was nothing more but a ghost town.
"Sweet Celestia, Everything gone,....Oh boy

i said as my eyes look upon for what left of the town after the bomb destroyed about most of the area's around it.
"radiation are good, outside temperature 81 degrees and tonight with a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING"
My pibbuck said to me, i question her that how did she know about the weather for today.
"Uh...How are you able to know the weather?"
I asked
"weather satellite are still operational, and ever the public WiFi network and radio station are still running"
"Well that's good, that very good to know that we have WiFi, it might come in handy."
I then start to walk out of the platform to make was down to the Cul-de-Sac, to see if there any survivor's , if anyone even survive the bomb's.
"Thankfully Is a good thing i was a field engineer,(Laugh a little) could you imagine that some came out and did'it even have any military training at all,Well think again they could be someone probably might already done this before me with out any military training "
"So what is this town?"

"Hopeville Cul-de-Sac, used to live here until the bomb's and well you know the rest "

"Where going find my wife and put a bullet on the pony head who took her in the first place"
I then stop walking as i here a blinking coming from my pipbuck.

"Your welcome, The first thing we need to do is.....What that?"
I stop as i see a familiar handymare right by my old house.

"Well of cruse i'm still here, surely you don't think a little deadly magic can harm a handy mare,But you have not seem the worst of wear. Best not the wife see you like your about to go to war, And where is the missus by the way? "
I look at claire as she said that last speech i did'it wont to said what happen to my wife but i had no choice but explain what happen.
"They took her, these bastard took her!"
"This is worst then i tough, I'll go with you to find her but, before we head out you need to eat something since it been 200 years since you had a propel meal "
"200 years, Wait what?"
"A bit around 210 years actually.That means you about two centuries late for dinner sir, Perhaps you could like to have a little snack, you must be famished "
I never know claire like this or she has ever act like this ever, I begin to ask her that she was acting a little bit weird .

Is just been so horrible! two centuries no one to talk to and serve to anypony if they wont something they need, after the bombs drops i spent 10 years trying to keep the house clean when you and the miss ever return the hard part was trying clean the floor waxed's,But nothing get out mega spells fallout from vinyl wood. Nothing, And dont give me started on the car's, The Car's! How do you polish rust!"
I then try to come her so she can focus.
"Come on claire ,say with me pal, Focus"
"(Sniff)I'm afraid I dont know anything, sir. When the bombs came, and all of you left in such a hurry. I thought for certain that you and the miss and every other ponies with where..Dead!(Sniff)......The Only thing i did find is this...holotape. I believe it was from your cousin Applejack, but then well.....Everything else happen"
I then used my magic to take the holotape from claire and put it the the supplie bag.
"Thank you claire"
I said to her
"(Sniff) your very welcome. now Enough feeling sorry for myself Shall we search the neighborhood, The missus could be around here and may turn up yet"
"Ok claire lead the way"
I said
"Proud to serve, Sir..Come (Humming)"
I follow as we move to the north side of the Cul-de-Sac, my pip buck start to ask me about if i know this handymare.
"What was your first clue,But Yes her name is claire she pretty much my and my wife robot butler, You know the first thing i was about to do was going be in the Veteran’s Hall until everything else happen"
Me and claire still look around for my missing wife, every house we look there was still no sign of her or the ponies that took her in the first place,
as we look and look and look and still look,I then start to give up until i look to see claire pick up what look like a stable jumpsuit.
"Sir, I thing i found the missus stable jumpsuit"
I then grab the jumpsuit from claire with my hoof as i see it was my wife for sure.
"T..Th..(Sniff)..Thank you claire"
I said as i start to cry and walk out of the house, As i did a dog walk throes me.
"Oh hello doggy"
I said as i pet the shepard collie.
"Hey there would you like to come with me"

Before we head out the dog start to sniff my wife stable jumpsuit as it was picking up her since.
"What is it boy, you know where my wife is at"
As i said
the dog run where is was picking up her since me and claire then follow the dog as it was close, But instead being my wife it was one of those ponies who was part of the kidnapping, I look to see he look like he was shoot but he was still breaving so i used my magic to get the long macintosh as i pointed the rifle at his head.
"Get UP!!"
I said in rage as i was about to shoot him right on his head so he can feel what true death his,I then hit him in the ribs with the but of the rifle so he can get up, He gasp in pain as he finally wake up, He then finally look at me as knows who i am.
"Oh look,(cough) If is it the pony from the stable"
He said as blood was flowing at the side as he was almost about to loss blood.
"Where the hell is my wife you peace of Fucking donkey shit"

My pipbuck reply after i said that.
"Ok you i just slept from the apocalypse for 210 yeas and if I won't to drop the F bomb one million time Because i will and nothing on this planet or out there an't going to stop me that being say"

"Thank you, Now where was I, oh yeah, Who the hell are you guys and why you won't with my wife in the first place"
"Ok you win i'll explain everything, Where a bunch of gunner know to the local's as Marked mare and we look to find food at the stables so was can eat meat that are not radiated from the bomb's"

I asked
"Where cannibals, We live by eating flesh of ponies who are living in the know stables in Equestria for the safety of our survival,That why we kidnapped your wife in the firs-"

I smack him with the butt of the rifle as i was more piss at him more then i was before.
"You take ponies from the stable and eat them like they are food from a fast food joint, How horrible can you ponies can be"
"I know it a terrible thing to do but there no other thing to eat here in the wasteland ever since the bomb drops I try and try for my fellow ponies to find a other way for used to eat our own kind, Im done with this i'll go help you get your wife back"
"Yeah right like i'll ever let you help me, and why in celestial name i'll even let you help me in the first"
I said as i question the injured ghoulish pony.

For once in my life i have never heard anything like this since the time i was at the frontline with my fellow ponies when we where pin down from the Zebra force's durning the battle of the trenches at we where out number by 5 to a thousand, I even remember we had a zebra who we capture after we invade there camp after night time when we kill most of the zebras in the camp.
"Sir, what should we do, the enemy is about come pretty soon and we can't hold them or even escape"

I wrap the Medline Industries around his side so he won't be able to bleed out.

I said as i put a hoof over him so he can get up, He grab my hoof as i help him get up.
"Alright let move out, lead the way"

We then head out to the road to where the city of hopeville is at, Me,my doc,claire and the marked mare move out to find my missing wife.
We been walking in the city for almost 40 minutes and by building to building all was there left from death and decay.
"So also forgot to ask, why your name"
I asked

As we walk around the city i then here music, I look to see it was coming from the garage.
"Guys wait right here"
I said to him, i then went inside the garage as i see a radio that was playing some music.

After i said i look to see i look to see a power armor material.
"Ok why is there a power armor material in here, Then again I don't won't to expected around here I mean, Sweet Celestia, I Was Frozen Today"
After i Said that i then begin to here gunfire coming from outside,I look to see that a group of ponies are attack me and the gang.
"Great now where shooting now,(GRUNT) It always code, Code shoot this, Code shoot that, Shoot this pony, Shoot the zebra's,
Everyone won't to shoot me"

I then move where rider and claire is at so i can duck in cover.

I said to my group and my dog follow as well, We then went inside to see that it was full of raider's from top and bottom, I then used my magic to get the laser musket at first i didn't know or how to used a gun that i have never see in my life, Until rider show me how to work this weapon,He told me to pull that crank over by the side of the gun to charge the weapon, it then begin to light up in red.
"So the crank make it go, This is really nice home made gun"

We start to push the raiders forward so we can take them out more, claire and rider to the upstairs as me and the dog take the raider from downstairs, I walk where i was at the hallways of the history of equestrian history, From the origins of the nation to the events of the elements of harmony, I even found a door that had a power armor fusion core, If there any power that i can probably find in this wasteland i could used it.
The door was lock so i used my magic to rip the handle right off and kick it after that.
"Alright mister core, you are mine"
I said as i pick it up right off the generator with my magic, After that i then head out upstairs where the last remaining raiders are at, as i walk up in the stairs i look to see a Cooler that was full of drugs.
"Hey look Drugs, Lovely some how they survive "
I said as i put the stuff in the bag.
Ok Everyone that Reading this,Before i continued the story that your reading,Then you must here for what I'm about to say, Anyone that reading this don't do Drug it bad I mean It really bad and i mean it, Now where was i,oh yeah back to the story.

I then started to head where the last remaining raider are all at, as i pull out my weapon,rider come out of no where behind the raider and start to attack him with a combat knife stabbing him the right side of the eye, and claire cutting one of them in half.

Me and the gang then turn to see the same pony that call our help to get rid of the raider's of the first place.
"Man, I don't know who are you guys but timing is Impeccable benny preston leader of the hoopville minutemare"
"The name is Code, Code apple and this is my team, Glad to help"
"Were grateful that you came to help,We could you some good will, As you can see we're in a mess here. Well a month ago there where 20th of use, yesterday there where 8, Now there 5, Is just me, kit, June,and blue. And over there is mama cookie on the bed"

I said to the mare on the bed.
"Look i'll me and the guys will try helping you guys,But i don't think that we don't have the fire power to stop the raiders outside"

After i here'd that a smile was form in my face like that one character from that short christmas film.

I pull out the fusion core to everyone who in the room with me.
"Look like our luck have finally come,Once you pug that in the back of the power armor and grab the minigun those raiders will know that they pick the wrong fight today, Good luck and may celestial be with you"

"Rider you and claire stay with benny and the others in here, I'll deal with the raider's"
"Alright well give you fire support from the building"

I walk out to the room and head out to get ready for hell but before i did i see a stable tec bobbleheads which i put in my bag, After that i went out to the door to see the power armor upright rusted as it haven't been used in a long time.
"Hello happens we have finally meet for the first time your even beautiful then i have ever imagine"
"Look pretty old"
"No, it not old it doesn't look like a day past 210, I can make her work"
"Do you even know how to work with this"

"A monkey with brain damaged can figured out how to work power armor, Well then again there that training camp you have to go to sign up to wear the power armors "
After i said that i look over my back to see another holotape, I pick it up and play it on the pipbuck to know what happen when the bombs drop.

I said as i put the core on the aback of the suit and crank it to start to open the suit, I then get in in to feel that it was pretty heavy and my wings never feel like this, It feel really good, and i even feel more stronger then i was ever was before,I look to see the minigun over by the from of the craft landing path, I pull it out with my magic like it was nothing.
"Alright raider's, Get ready to feel the thunder"
I yelled as i pull the gun out and start firing at some of them at the rooftop and at the ground below taking them down like there where a bunch of duck's flying from the sky's.
"Hey, How about you come down here so i can see that nice fancy armor"
One the raider's yelled at me explain to me like i was a coward.
"Oh ok, you won't me to come down,Well here i come you little bitch"
I jumped and lander on the ground and making it sake like a earthquake just happen.
"Code apple have come to play"
"Should you take that armor seriously after all it is a prototyped"
"Major always jump from rooftop all the time, And live to see doomsday, and that was just the frame"
I said to the pipbuck as i still firing at the raider trying hide from the cars, I then started to aim at a big red truck that probably feel with magic fuel, A really powerful energy that used to make dangerous weapon of mass destruction, The same stuff that make's Megaspells.
"Why are you trying to shot at that red fire tuck"
KABOOOOOM!!!

I yelled to the pipbuck
"That why the zebra's where losing in the first place, Because of the-"

I don't remember what happen then after that as when i started to wake up as my eye only a white light as my vision was burry,
