You gotta DASH to be able to SOAR

It was a sunny day in Ponyville when Rainbow was in her house, having breakfast when she heard a knock on her door, as she went to open it.

"Hey Rainbow Dash! I got a super important letter!" grinned Derpy, holding a letter in her hoof.

"Oh yeah, I uh do have a mail box you know..." sighed Rainbow, Derpy once again at her door instead of posting her mail in her mailbox.

"Oh I know! It's just that this one is from the wonderbolts!" exclaimed Derpy in her usual manner excitingly.

Rainbow looked at her curiously, Derpy giving the letter as Rainbow ripped it open, scanning the letter.

She read out loud;

"Dear Rainbow Dash,

You have been selected out of the reserves with 5 others to be selected to be a Wonderbolt elite. You will be here by Monday at 12 o'clock STRAIGHT, Any later, there will be consequences. We expect you to be at the HQ with everything packed that you need to get ready for two weeks, if you wish not to participate, please contact me.

~ Captain Spitfire."

Rainbow stared at the letter in her hooves, her jaw dropping as she grabbed Derpy in excitement and hugged her tightly.

"I'M GONNA BE A WONDERBOLT! Well I'm not sure yet... BUT STILL!" squealed Rainbow.

"Oh Rainbow Dash I'm so happy for you!" grinned Derpy.

"Yep! Thanks! Gotta tell my friends I'll be leaving!"

In a flash, Rainbow was well gone, leaving a faint trail of rainbow in her wake.

Rainbow walked into Twilight's castle, bumping into Pinkie with her mane slightly flattened and cake all over her face.

"Umm hey Pinkie..."

"OH DASHIE! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO TWILIGGGHHHTTTTTTT!~" cried Pinkie.

"Umm? What?"

"SHES GONE! IT'S ALL MY FAULT! NOW FLASH AND HER CAN'T SMOOCHY SMOOCH!"

"..."

"OH WHATEVER! THE POINT IS SHE. IS. GONE. DO YOU HEAR ME DASHIE?! SHE. IS. GONE! WAHHHHH IT'S ALL MY FAULT! I DIDN'T GET TO DEVOUR THIS CAKE WITH TWILIGHT, I DIDN'T GET TO POST MAIL WITH TWILIGHT, I DIDN'T GET TO SING SONGS WITH TWILIGHT, I DIDN'T GET TO SPEND TIME WITH TWILIGHT! AND MOST OF ALL... I DIDN'T GET TO SHIP TWILIGGGHGHTTTTTT!"

"You're saying that Twilight is missing and the one thing your worrying about the most is about not getting to see her KISS COLTS?!" shouted Rainbow.

"I WANTED TO SHIP HER WITH MARES AS WELL!" cried Pinkie.

"Ugh, seriously Pinkie, is this some sort of cruel prank or is Twilight really gone?"

"IT'S NOT A PRANK! TWI IS SERIOUSLY GONE! OH WHY DID I JUST DEVOUR THAT CAKE IN TWILIGHT'S PLACE OF DEATH?!" shouted Pinkie.

"Her what?" asked Rainbow flatly.

"DEATTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"And how in Equestria do you know that she died?"

"SHE'S NOT THERE!"

"PINKIE! JUST BECAUSE TWILIGHT ISN'T HERE, DOESN'T MEAN THAT SHE'S DEAD! WHAT ABOUT SPIKE?! Besides, can you see their bodies anywhere?!"

"Umm... no... maybe they're not dead... hmm..."

"Anyway, just wanted to say I'm leaving for the Wonderbolts tomorrow and I want you to tell the girls cause I gotta go pack!"

"WHAT?!" shouted Pinkie, pulling down her mane, making it completely poofy again.

"Pinkie... I won't forget you, so you DON'T have to go to into a frenzy that I will forget all about you because I'm staying there for 2 weeks..." muttered Rainbow, about to cringe at Pinkie's threatening reaction.
