"Come on Nilla, wake up," I said, pushing my brother back and forth. Such a heavy sleeper he is. "It's a Saturday Nilla Crunch, we should go out and play," Rocking him more furious.

"No Cocoa, I want to sleep," He said, pushing me away from him. He's been whining to play outside now he wants to sleep?! What is up with him, he can't make up his mind.

"We can go to the magic portal," I sang in front of him. That woke him up right away. He's been fascinated with that statue at Canterlot High. I don't understand why its magic and when someone walks into it they become a pony. Seems like a cool idea but its never activated to see if that's true or not.

"Mom! Spice and I are going to the statue again!" Nilla yelled, running out the door.

"Just be safe," Mom said the moment we shut the door. I got him outside, now we just walk to the portal, it doesn't work, then we walk back and play outside. Plan is all set, ready to execute.

"What are the scientist doing with that statue?" I asked Nilla. He seems to wonder that to. We walked up to them and carefully got pushed back.

"It's not safe here, go back home," One of the scientist said. Nilla grabbed my hand and pulled me back home. What were they doing with that statue? Was it really magical after all? I just thought it was some dumb joke but if they really are investigating it, could it be true?

We got back home. We were sitting on the couch, just waiting bored as can be. The doorbell rung and Dad got it. It was the scientist telling him about us being there I bet. Dad just nodded and closed the door.

"We just have to stay inside for now on," He said, sitting down in his chair. "They want everyone to stay inside," Inside all day? I can't last that long. I want to explore the land and conquer my enemies. Then there was a shut off of light, then a big flash of light. Father grabbed something and kneeled towards us. "I'm afraid this would happen..." He said, pausing for a moment, I had so many questions. "Take this and run, something devastating is coming and you two need to run out of here," He said, pointing out the back door. Mom was crying and Dad was serious.

"Why? Why run?" I asked panicky.

"Just trust me darling, its dangerous but you two need to get out of here," He said. Like that, I grabbed my brother's hand and started running out the door. Running over the flowers and jumping the fence. We finally got to the top of the hill and turned around to see some sort of detonation happen. Everything was destroyed. The school was a wreck and the city was toppling. This is chaotic, how could this happen? I fell on my knee and started crying to my hands. Mom, Dad... they are gone. What happened?

"Shhhh Cocoa, calm down," Nilla said. "We need to continue on," pulling me up, we walked down the path into the forest. The magic will destroy everything soon enough, just won't damage us anymore. Then we heard a girl crying, just like I had. I quickly ran to that direction and found a girl, about our age. She looked at a old pocket watch then back at the ruins then returned to crying. I walked up to her and sat down next to her.

"I guess you lost someone too, huh," I said, trying to comfort her. She nodded and then started crying onto my shoulder. I just held her there, there is no reason not to cry about it. I'm glad Nilla is trying to stay strong, he's trying his best to look like it and keep me up with him. "What's your name?" I asked the girl.

"Milkshake, just Milkshake," She said, with sniffling. I just pat her back and helped her calm down.

"You want to come with us?" I asked her. She nodded and got up along with me. We walked back to my brother who just watched from the pathway. I decided to open my gift daddy left for me. I unwrapped it and was left with some sort of gun. A Mac 11 or UZI or something like that. Anyways it was plated with silver engravement saying my name. I looked up to Nilla and he just nodded. I rewrapped it and continued to a site to set up camp.

Three ten year olds, we have to survive together in this world, destroyed and changed by magic that we thought was a joke. I wonder how this works out in the end, will we die or live to see the end of this madness? The least we can do is survive long enough to continue our life, find help at least so we don't have to stay near this magic zone. This place is bad memories, no way am I coming back here... neither are the others. We are scavengers now, we pick up the remainders of the land and sell the scraps for food. That's how its going to work in this world now. Let's just hope no one would shoot three children for surviving out here in this wasteland.

"This is good enough to set up camp," Milkshake said, pointing to clear ground. "It'll give us advantage when someone comes to hurt us," Tactical person, lucky enough to run into one of those. Let's just hope adults see us as kids trying to survive in this poor cold dead land that was alive only a few minutes ago.
