1 - I never got the appeal of the restaurants that serve small proportions while charging people hundreds for a small dish. Which is more suited for an appetizer than the main meal. As I like to leave a restaurant full and not hungry.

Not to mention those restaurants are more for showing off than to feed people.

2 - Haute cuisine or grande cuisine; the food of the wealthy people, the cuisine of "high-level" establishments, gourmet restaurants and luxury hotels. Haute cuisine is characterized by the meticulous preparation and careful presentation of food at a high price.

Also gold leaf that makes a dish looks good, is real gold which adds nothing but the cost of the dish, which is just flush down the toilet. Looks nice but is nothing but a way to charge more for a small dish that wouldn’t fill you up.
