Disillusioned and lost after getting kicked out of the WonderBolts, Lightning Dust is on the brink of destruction, lost in a world of pain and regret she can't seem to shake, and the ghost of a terrible accident prior to her dismissal, that ended in the loss of life of somepony she used to know, haunts her every waking moment and riddles her with unimaginable guilt.

Just in her hour of need she finds herself faced by a strange pony who brings her a chance and choice that may just change her life, but for better or for worse? She's inducted into a shadowy team of Aerial Fliers- one thought destroyed a thousand years prior- and with this team, she meets many new dangers, and many new friends- two of which seem to be vying for her attention nearly constantly.
