Zompony Apocalypse (Left 4 Dead cross-over)

"Come on in."

"What's this all about?" Sunset asked.

"Oh, you'll see." Twilight replied.

"So this is your new castle, huh?" Sunset asked as she started walking towards one of the windows.

"It's not exactly new anymore, but yeah." Twilight said whilst following Sunset. "As you can see, there is something going on which has left Equestria in an apocalyptic state." The look on Sunset's face that of horror and shock.

"Can't Celestia do anything? What about the Elements of Harmony?"

"About that, they're immune to magic. That's why I thought I could use your help considering your world doesn't really rely on magic and will have other means of defense."

"Well yeah we do but are you sure about this? I mean like we haven't got a way to cure them. We have these things called guns, now these are very dangerous. They shoot bullets almost if not, double the speed of sound! One shot of these things can be lethal, in fact, one shot is more than likely gonna be lethal if it hits your body."

"If I'm honest, I don't think we can find a cure to this, it will take an awfully long time and we don't have time." Twilight stated with a face of curiosity. She definitely was curious about 'guns'.

"Why not?"

"Well you see, these infected individuals are mutating and becoming stronger, it won't take long for them to make their way over to us."

"So, how do you get infected?"

"Well, if they bite you, it'll infect you and you'll turn within a few hours although the mutated ones seem to want to kill you instead of infect you..." Twilight was worried and she isn't sure if they'll be able to stop this. There was a loud bang on the door and the sound of a Charger screeching to notion that he is sprinting at full speed. "We need to get everypony out of here now!" Twilight shouted to Sunset. "Go back to your world and get ready to block off the portal once everypony gets though."

"Sure thing Twilight." Sunset said with concern. "Please be careful."

Twilight nodded. "Just get ready." Twilight ran to the bedroom everypony was staying in. Twilight went to wake them up but they were all already awake. "Come on girls, it's not safe here. There are infected trying to get in and the door won't hold." With that, everypony got up and followed Twilight to the portal. If somepony would of been banging on this door two weeks ago, everypony would be worried and panicking, but not now. They all knew exactly what was going on and that panicking is the worst thing they can do. Twilight lead through the portal with Applejack at the back. Once they were all through, Sunset went to block the portal with a... coach? She drove it forward but before she blocked it, a tongue emerged through the portal pulling Applejack back through to Equestria before Sunset could block it off.

"Applejack!" Rainbow cried. Everybody but Twilight was now struggling to stand on two legs and Rainbow Dash was on her knees. "Move the... Thing!"

As much as Twilight was going to hate herself, she had to stop Rainbow otherwise they would all be in danger. "Rainbow, no. We can't."

"Why not!" Rainbow cried out. Everybody could see the tears in her eyes.

"Because if we move that whatever it is, we'll all be in danger, Dashie. We will put a whole other world in danger." Pinkie said. All of them were on the verge of crying but they all knew that they couldn't do anything now. Even Rainbow, but she is in denial, just like when Tank had to hibernate.

"Look guys, I know this is hard for you but you can all stay at my place for the night, it's rather late and you're all going to be tired, I'll lead the way but I'm going to come back here so that I can explain to anyone why the coach is here so that nobody moves it." Sunset said

"Thanks Sunset." Twilight hugged her friend.

"No problem, here follow me. I'll go slowly so you guys can get used to walking."

With that, the nine of them headed to Sunset's house.
