Sonnet was walking back to her home from visiting Mayor Mare.

The sun was setting and it was quickly getting cold and dark.

She sighed softly to herself as she began to pick up the pace.

She had just recently moved to this town and so far it had been very warm and inviting, she was certain this place would be a nice town to live in.

She had met many friendly ponies and was content for now to do her job at town hall as the archiver.

She turned the corner and smiled to herself, letting out a soft breath and making a cloud of breath on the chilly air, she giggled to herself, snuggling into her scarf, but something caught her attention.

She paused, did she hear hoof-steps?

Was there someone behind her?

"Hello?" she called as she moved to look over her shoulder, "Is there anypony out there?" she frowned slightly and cuddled into her scarf, it was a creepy over-cast night, there would be rain tomorrow.

Sonnet sighed softly as she saw the familiar warm glow of the lanterns outside her archives, she nodded to herself.

"See? You were scared for no reason…" she started and then she felt something sharp in her head, and she saw nothing.

When she woke up she had the worst head-pain in the world, and she found she couldn't lift her head or her hooves.

She had been tied down to a table of some sorts and tightly.

To her horror, she found her magic just wasn't working.

No matter how hard she tried to call it forth, the fear was rendering it useless.

"H…hello?" she asked, "Is…is anypony there?"

Silence answered her.

Pure and complete silence.

Sonnet shook slightly.

She could feel fear collecting tears in her eyes, twisting her stomach.

"Please! Somepony answer me!" she cried out.

Then she heard it, the sound of hooves on the wooden floor above her, the sound of a door opening and closing, and then descending the stairs.

The sound of some switch being flipped and the hum of florescent lights turning on, Sonnet's breath caught in her throat. There before her was a pink mare with frizzy pink hair, deep blue eyes, and a demented smile.

"Wow, I thought that my basement was sound proof but you actually managed to make some noise down here…and I didn't think you would be waking up for a while…" she said in a cheerful manner, "This is wonderful, I was starting to get bored!"

As the pink mare moved away from the landing Sonnet's eyes wandered away from her and to the room she was currently in.

A scream died in her throat for she was far too scared to let it escape.

The room was set for a party, but no party she would have ever wanted to go to.

Organs painted in faded paint and filled with helium were replacement balloons, there was a banner from tanned pony hides with the words "Life is a Party!" painted in a crusty flaking brown color.

The tables and chairs were also made from skin and bones, and she noted the various skulls that littered the place were also painted to look almost clownish with party hats made from their own skins.

Sonnet slowly looked at the pink mare in confusion.

"W…what's going on?" she asked, her voice raw from the fear.

The pink mare smiled.

"Oh! You don't remember me, that's a shame…" she giggled as she vanished behind a room divider that was pitch black and had balloons painted on it. "What's going on is simple, I drew your number, mind you, I know you are new to PonyVille and all, taking up the job as the keeper of the archives and haven't been here for that long, three weeks right?" she sounded like she was getting dressed in something, Sonnet could have sworn she heard something clattering together, she felt sick. "Anyway, your number came up and I cant really ignore the rules…so…" The pink mare came back out and Sonnet felt her stomach flip when she saw the garb the pink mare had put on.

She was wearing one of the most horrifying things in the world.

Upon her back were eight Pegasus wings, they were limp and lifeless, yet when the mare moved, they gave the illusion of flight, around her neck were seven unicorn horns, and she wore a patchwork dress made from cutiemarks.

Sonnet squeezed her eyes closed and she felt her body shudder slightly.

"I figured that we just get this over with, ok?" the pink mare blinked and lifted a hoof and placed it to Sonnet's shoulder. "Hey…open your eyes, it wont be fun if you keep them closed." She said and Sonnet slowly opened her eyes.

"Who are you?" she asked.

The pink mare giggled.

"I'm Pinkie Pie!" she said and she nodded in an enthusiastic manner.

"And…what do you plan on doing to me?" Sonnet asked, her voice cracked here and there.

Pinkie chuckled.

"Well, you see…I ran out of ingredients for my baking…"

"No." Sonnet said, her tone slightly shaky, but firm, "No…no…you will not be using me." She said, her eyes betrayed her horror and fear. "I…I am…one of Princess Luna's students….and she…"

"Pfffft," Pinkie Pie giggled, "If you think being a student of the princess is going to stop me, you're wrong," she paused then added with a demented smirk, "Dead wrong, Sonnet…"

Sonnet glared at Pinkie Pie, the fear was leaving her, replacing it was anger.

She could feel something bubbling up inside her and she felt the simple caress of her powers returning, the fear that had been keeping them at bay vanishing, her horn began to glow and Sonnet smiled,

"I'm leaving," she said, but before she could say or do anything else a mind-numbing pain washed through her as Pinkie Pie struck her horn from the side with a hammer, the bone splintering off and sending the top half of the horn skittering across the room, it hit the wall with a hollow sound before clattering to the ground.

Sonnet could do nothing more than scream in pain as blood ran down her face and her forehead throbbed.

"Oooh, I think not." Pinkie Pie said in a dark tone, she then pulled over a cart with sharpened medical tools upon it and she looked up at Sonnet in a dark manner. "Let's get those cutie marks off you, ok?" she asked, Sonnet struggled as best she could, but Pinkie didn't seem to care, in fact she seemed to enjoy the fear that Sonnet was giving off.

"You're the element of Laughter!" Sonnet cried, "Please, please, don't do this…"

Pinkie Pie lifted her gaze at this and she smirked gently, then lifted the scalpel she had been holding.

"When given a job, one does their job, right?" she asked, her eyes were narrowed, and she was frowning sharply.

Sonnet blinked back, unsure of what to say, she then spoke up in trembling voice.

".....Who....Who gave you this job?" she asked.

Pikie grinned at her, and in answer she sunk the scalpel deep into her left rear flank, just above Sonnet's cutiemark.

Sonnet let out a cry of pain and shock and felt tears well in her eyes as she watched Pinkie make a circle around her cutie mark and  then pull it away.

The very sight and sound of it caused Sonnet's stomach and heart to jump into her throat.

She couldnt feel the pain, her mind wasnt focused on it anymore, her mind was too busy trying to make this whole situation make sense.

So when Pinkie began to cut away at the other cutie mark she cried out again and this time, her focus shattered and she felt the tears run down her cheeks.

Pinkie Pie held up her cutie marks to her and she giggled.

"I cant wait to put these on my dress!" she said softly and she giggled spinning around she placed them on the table near her, then she turned back and lifted a scalpel and she grinned.

"Oooh Sonnet, you have such lovely tresses!" she said gently. "It's so long and such pretty colors, it would make nice thread...." she said and she began to walk towards the other pony.

Sonnet shrank back against the table and shook her head slowly.

Her stomach was flipping again, she was keeping back her nausea as best she could but it wasnt an easy task.

Pinkie Pie gave her a simple smile and she canted her head to the left.

"Now, are we going to do this the hard way, or the easy way?"

Sonnet trembled,

"What's what?" she asked, she blinked back her tears.

"The easy way is you let me do my work...the hard way is you fight back..." Pinkie grinned.

Sonnet frowned in a cold manner.

"How about you just let me go and we pretend that nothing ever happened?" she asked.

Pinkie pie laughed in a cruel manner and shook her head.

"Nope, sorry, I cant do that..." she mused and she placed the blade to Sonnet's scalp and pressed down, Sonnet let out a scream of pain and tried to pull away, but her thrashing head only made matters worse for her as she threw off Pinkie's blade strokes and caused more pain for her.

Pinkie stopped and frowned.

"Now Sonnet!" she said, her tone sharp, her eyes narrowed. "If you dont stop that thrashing this instant I'm going to have to do something I dont like doing!"

Sonnet looked at Pinkie in hate, she then spit in the other mare's face and once again tried to pull herself free.

Pinkie slowly took a few steps back, set down the blade and she walked over to the table again, when she came back she was holding something large and wooden.

She set it up quickly and once it was tightly fastened around Sonnet's head she realized it was a vice, and it held her firmly in place.

"No, No, no,no...." Sonnet whispered over and over.

It was then she realized she wasnt wearing her scarf and her eyes went wide in fear, she looked at Pinkie,

"Where is it!?" she shrieked. "Where's my scarf!?"

Pinkie blinked in shock at this sudden outburst and she lifted a hoof and pointed to the unraveled mess on the ground.

Sonnet frowned through her tears as if she couldnt understand what it was she was seeing, but after blinking the tears from her eyes she focused on what she was looking at and a pain far worse than anything Pinkie could ever physically put her through hit her.

"...Why did you do that?" she whispered, "Why did you ruin the only thing in this world that I hold dear!?"

Sonnet was trembling again, Pinkie gave her a serene smile and stated in a matter-of-fact tone,

"Well, I'm going to need something to stitch you back up, right?"

Sonnet shook her head at that and she hissed.

"But you're butchering me, taking me apart....why....would you need to stitch me up?"

Pinkie shrugged.

"Because, silly-billy, I'm going to stuff you and add you to my collection!" she giggled, "And now that I know you treasured that scarf, I think it makes sense, I mean, your one dear item is keeping you together, kinda poetic isnt it?"

Sonnet didnt answer, she found the whole concept ironic, the scarf did keep her together in a sense, and soon it would literally keep her together.

She was pulled out of her reminiscing by a sudden cutting pain at the base of her neck and she let a soft whine escape her as she focused on the pink mare before her.

She numbly watched as the pink mare cut along her scalp, and she tried to think of something other than the odd feeling of skin separating and pulling free.

Before she knew what was what, her scalp lay on the floor in front of her.

She could also feel the warm ooze of the blood as it ran down the back of her neck and the sides of her face, she was shivering slightly.

"Yes.." Pinkie was saying, "This will do nicely...I think..." she looked the scalp on the ground and she smiled, lifting it off the ground, she inspected it as best she could and nodded again, "Yup, It will be perfect for what I have planned." she then looked down at Sonnet's tail and lifted a hoof to her mouth, "Hmmm," she started and Sonnet shuddered slightly, feeling the blood rolling down her back, it was a surreal feeling.

"What's....next...." she found herself asking, ".....do you plan on killing me?"

"All in good time dear Sonnet....all in good time!" the pink party mare cheered and she trotted around Sonnet. "What I'm excited about is that you havent passed out yet, normally the pony I'm working on blacks out, so...what's your secret?"

"I've got willpower...and I'm fearless...."

"Wow, no kidding...." Pinkie pie said and she took out a butcherknife. "Well, we should really get started shouldnt we?" she asked absently.

Sonnet chuckled weakly.

"Sure, anything that gets me out of this place so I dont have to look at you...." she spat, her eyes half lidded.

"Sonnet! That wasnt nice!"

Sonnet made a face of mock shock then she began to laugh, it was a wild almost crazy laugh, she would have tossed her head too, but the vice kept it firmly in place.

Pinkie pie frowned.

"Are you laughing at me?" she growled, stabbing the dark grey unicorn just enough to cut her open, but not enough to damage any of the organs.

Sonnet choked back a cry of pain and swallowed it.

She locked gazes with Pinkie Pie and she trembled slightly, she wasnt going to let this mare hear her scream, she wasnt going to give her any pleasure.

Pinkie worked at cutting her open and exposing her organs.

She sighed in admiration and nodded.

"I think, because of how strong and bitter, yet sweet you are, I'm going to make you a lemon meringue pie..."

Sonnet gave her a hazy look and then bowed her head, closing her eyes she sighed.

"...whatever pinkie, just get this over with...." she stated dully. "I'm bored by this now...at first it was really scary, but now that I know you're just going to," she cut off as pinkie stopped what she was doing and she looked up at Sonnet in a sharp manner, that seemed to say that she wasnt just going to kill her now, she was planning on doing a few more horrible things.

Pinkie pie got up and came back with a pair of tongs.

"Open your mouth." she said darkly, Sonnet shook her head back and fourth, she could see where this was going.

"OPEN YOUR MOUTH!" Pinkie shrieked, her eyes narrowed and Sonnet slowly opened her mouth, Pinkie clasped the tongs to Sonnet's tongue and pulled her tongue so it extended out of her mouth.

"That oughta shut you up." she said in a sharp manner, she then went back to what she was doing.

The silence filled the room and now Sonnet's thoughts were beging to invade her mind.

Her eyes were half lidded and she was shaking again, only slightly while the pink mare before her began to take her apart.

She watched as Pinkie Pie began to pull her intestines out, she would feel it too, the Pink mare began to talk again.

"You know, it's not like I want to even be doing this, it's all complete and total bull to me, but when charged with a duty, you do what must be done, right? and dont take this too personally, but I had to do it, Just because you are the element of Wisdom doesnt make you exempt." she paused, "We could have been friends if I didnt draw your number, and that would have made this so much sweeter!" she grinned. "But as it is, I drew your number before then, and so....here we are."

Sonnet began to feel woozy from the blood loss.

And when Pinkie Pie removed her heart and the darkness took her she was thankful.

Pinkie Pie sat in front of the dissected corpse of what use to be a beautiful mare.

She was staring at the body in an absent manner, after a few more long moments, she got up and placed a "X" over Sonnet's picture, she then turned to the bowl of numbers and began to fish around it in, withdrawing another one, she slowly looked over the wall of pony pictures and matched the number with a perky looking pony with toxic green hair and a fun loving smile.

"....Damnit." Pinkie muttered.

Then she began to clean up.

Thinking of just how she was going to get the owner of the Noodle shop.
