"Who's there?!" she half shouted to the room devoid of any other signs of life, "and why are you saying what I'm doing?"
... Wait a sec. C-can you hear me?
"Yeah..." she replied hesitantly. 'Why does he sound so confused?'
Not so much confused as hopeful. After all, not many beings can hear us.
Her eyes widened at my response to her thoughts. 'How-'
-did I know what you were thinking? I am a Narrator, Third-Person Class, Omniscient Rank.
"Narrator!?" she inquired with no small amount of alarm. "Does that mean none of this is real?! Is my life a lie!? Some story to entertain the masses?!"
Calm down, Twilight, this is quite real. No wonder most beings don't hear us. How many who could wound up in the Loony Bin... or worse?
"HOW CAN I CALM DOWN WITH YOU QUESTIONING MY SANITY?!?!?!?!"
The downwardly-spiraling lavender fuzz-ball was suddenly calm.
"Downwardly isn't a word!"
... O.k., MOSTLY calm. I can work with that. And it is now.
'What did he do. Why am I not freaking out. I should be worried. Does worrying about not being worried count as worrying in this situation?'

"What's a Narrative Override?" Sparkle asked.
As a Narrator, I have some control over the world around you. A Narrative Override is a slight change in reality to help your story along.
Twilight fearfully glanced in the general direction of up. "Does that mean you can control ME when ever you want?"
... If I had eyes, that question would leave me blinking. I'm not too sure if it would be from surprise or confusion, but I would be blinking. As for the answer...
