I'll Tell You What Revenge Is
Chapter Two: A Sparkle Of Regret
Previous ChapterNext ChapterRain fell down, making the pavement glistening, it was a dark and gloomy day. Water poured down from the skies like buckets filled with water. Any unfortunate soul would get drenched in this dreadful sea of semi-sweet water. You wouldn't expect anyone to be outside, but, at the wondercolt statue of Canterlot High, (or what's left of it), stood six girls, one stuck to the statue, hugging it like if it were about to leave, and all around her, the other girls trying to confort her, and to tke her home; otherwise the girl will catch a cold.
"Sugarcube, ah know you love him, but yall can't go running after them if they leave you. It's just life." started Applejack, killing the silence and the sound of water and pavement crushing together.
"Applejack's right darling, if something happens, there is no need to sob; there are many wonderful gentlemen out that can-"
"SHUT UP RARITY! IF YOU ALL UNDERSTOOD THE REAL PROBLEM HERE! HE WAS THE FIRST ONE TO GIVE ME A CHANCE! HE WAS THERE WHEN FRIENDSHIP PUT ME ON THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST! DO YOUUNDERSTAND NOW!" screamed Sunset, her eyes the size of school plates, her pupils being invisible specks, and teeth clenched. Sunset's real rage being exposed, it wasn't a pretty sight to witness. She banged the portal with her clenched fists, until her hands got sore and she collapsed, falling on the floor. The poor girl had enough trouble, and she couldn't hold it in. Sunset sobbed uncontrollably, exploded and fell on the floor, her back resting on the portal, and hung her head. The mane six didn't know what to do, they were speechless, and every time one tried opening their mouths, Sunset would tell them softly to leave her alone. This was crisis, and of course, Pinkie had to ruin it much worse.
"Umm, hi Mid, um, what happened to you?" asked a startled and slightly annoyed purple mare, working on studies like always.
"Nothing, it's Sunset, I did something that b-broke her h-heart..."
"Wow, what happened!"
"I don't want to talk, and she was after me! Willing to forgive a monster like me!"
"Are you sure? Did you transform! I-"
"NO! I said something, and did something horrible as well.."
"Midnight Sapphire, she hurt a lot of people before, and now they forgive her, I mean, we all make mistakes-"
"But some are far much worse than others-"
"What makes you think-"
"Okay, here's an example. Right now go to Spike and say you hate him and that he's useless."
"What! Never! Wait, did you tell her that you hate her and-"
"No, just an example. Besides, it's a clue that I hit Sunset's weak spot, just like Spike has a weak spot, like saying he's useless."
"Oh, um, that makes sense...and you're drenching wet. Do you need a bath?"
"Yes, please, it's raining books in Canterlot High." I said, snickering at her response.
"REALLY! I GOING RIGHT THIS INSTANT! SPIKE! I'LL BE LEAVING AND-"
"Naw, just kidding. It's raining real hard there, that's all."
"Grr, I'm going to take you back on that, just as soon as I finish chapter ten of History of Magic: Dark Potions and their History: Level 12."
"Oh, okay! Happy reading!" I say as I head to my room of Twilight's NEW crystal castle. Geez, I'm jealous. But anyways, I'm glad I met Twilight. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have have this amazing life, amazing aventure. My reason to life was achieved by Twilight and her friends. Before Twilight and Sunset existed, I was made to be a warrior by showing Celestia my skills. She was pleased and she taught me magic as well. I sigh as I turn to the bath, thinking of how my life started, and how miserable I was throughout life. The world is a place where mere survival is hard, and my life was nothing but strands of whether I will live or not. Living as Celestia's student was great, until that tragic day everything went to the trash. I was heading to usual spot where to study in Canterlot, another day of lectures and studying, wich I liked, and so on so forth. Then something unusual happened that fateful day of my demise. I had another lesson to have, with my teacher, Princess Celestia. Sometimes I thought of her as my mother; my real parents died in war. My mother, she went to see my dad's funeral, and never came back. Celestia took notice, and raised me into her student. I liked it, and took it as my life. But an unknown pony was there, talking to Celestia. An earth pony. He had a dark blueish teal mane, his body color is a light grey, and his eyes are purplish blue color. He looked upset, and Celestia was talking to him in a serious tone. The door wasn't fully closed, so I peeked my eye in. He yelled to them, saying "SOME PRINCESSES YOU ARE!" and I gulped. Then, I looked at my books, and forgot my notebook! I quickly return to my room to retrieve it, and open the door with my magic. After that, I bumped into someone. It was him. The same pony yelling at Celestia, and I was now face to face to him. I panicked, and backed away. My books were all shattered on the floor. I had no idea what was going to happen next.
"Why! Why.......(sob) ......why.....Mid....you left me....(sob)" cried Sunset, all alone, talking to nothing, as she sat there, looking into space, drenched, and would wait right there until Midnight returned. She fell down, hopeless, with no one to love her, not like the love of a friendship, but a relational one. Someone to cuddle her, to carres her cheek, she loved that, and wanted so deseperately for him to return. Why did she? Sunset then stood up, and wondered, "Why do I care so much about him? Could he really have left me? Is it true? Who does he love now?" Sunset looked up, and marveled at the sight, her eyes shimmering, and her soft lips forming a smile from ear to ear as she saw the portal go to life. Out popped who else, a person that took that smile away from Sunset, but a questionative frown. Night had come back.
"Night? What are you doing! Shoudn't you be-" asked Sunset, startled.
"I had a chance to rest for a while, and know what happened to you and Mid."
"Really! Can you tell me where he is! I have to tell him it was no big deal, I-"
"Stop. Just stop. You should learn that a relationship problem can't be be thrown out the window. He is preparing something for you. Something big you can't see yet. On the other hand, he told me to tell you that you must stay here."
"But, I have to go see I'm, and the portal is gonna close!" yelled Sunset, but he immediately closed it, losing it's glow.
"Why'd you do that!'' she asked, looking annoyed.
"It's a surprise." he said simply. She let out a squeaking sound, and was then mad of how she'd been so dumb all along. She looked at herself, and her clothes. She felt weird and got her car keys, opened her car, and rushed home. Once she did, she rushed into her apartment, and took off her clothes, landing into a nearby basket. Meh, all she had to do was put in in the washing machine and that's it. As shegot into the hot, warm water, she heard a buzz from her phone. Wow, what a good phone I have, it survived the water! she thought, and opened her bag to retrieve it. It was dry, and she opened it. It held the message that destroyed her happiness forever. It was a text from Pinkie.
Telling exactly what she didn't want to hear.
