Chapter 1 - The Beginning

Rainbow Dash had been waiting for a letter from the WonderBolts. She was sure she would get in. Why wouldn't she? She's the best flyer in Ponyville, no Equestria! She groaned. ''How long can one Mailmare take to deliver one letter! Seriously not cool.''

Rainbow Dash said with another groan. ''Errr Rainbow Dash.'' It was Ponyville's Mailmare, Derpy Hooves the most unorganised pony around.

''Mabye she needs some lessons from Twilight.'' mumbled Rainbow. Derpy Hooves had a tendency to make mistakes not like everypony else, but she made mistakes on a daily basis!
''I've got your letter! And a free muffin!'' She handed the Muffin and letter to Rainbow Dash with a massive grin.'' Sorry the letters late. I got mixed up again. Sorry I, I!'' She was interrrupted by a annoyed voice.

''Again really! Derpy... It doesn't matter just leave it. Just don't be late again!'' Derpy looked disappointed.

''I won't well, I will try!'' Derpy trotted away. Then Rainbow Dash excitedly opened the letter and started to read. A frown filled her face as she read. It read: Dear Rainbow Dash, You have not been accepted into the Wonderbolts. Its not that your not a good flyer, your the best around. But we need stallions, as you know mares outweigh the stallions in Equestria and so naturally there is more mares in the Wonderbolts than stallions. We hope you understand. Spitfire and the Wonderbolt team. ''NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO I have to get into the Wonderbolts! I have too!!! No! Just because I'm a mare! NO NO NO!!! '' cried Rainbow Dash she cried more and more and it felt like she could never stop.

''Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash, are you okay!'' said a soft voice.

Rainbow Dash rubbed her eyes. They were wet she must have been crying in her sleep. ''Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash are you okay?'' Rainbow Dash looked over to the other side of the bed. There was Fluttershy she was looking at Rainbow Dash with worried eyes.

'' Don't worry it's nothing.'' Fluttershy still looked worried.

''But Rainbow you were crying in your sleep that's not nothing!''

Rainbow Dash leaned over and gave Fluttershy a light kiss on the cheek. ''Don't worry Flutters. I love you.'' They both pulled up the covers. Rainbow Dash felt two hooves wrap around her in a tight hug.
