Chapter 2 - Dreams and Worry

Fluttershy got out of her floral bed. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy had been staying at each others houses since they got together, it was Fluttershy's turn this week. And she was getting used to Rainbow Dash not being home in the mornings because of weather duty. She rolled out of her bed. Brushed her mane and fed her animals with the exception of Angel Bunny who didn't want lettuce he wanted carrots. So she went out to get some from the market.

Fluttershy was trotting to the market when she saw Twilight talking to Rarity.''Hi Rarity, Hi Twilight.'' said Fluttershy smiling.

'' Oh hello Fluttershy. What have you been doing today darling.'' said Rarity she could sense there was something bothering Fluttershy, Rarity could see it on her face.

'' Well Angel Bunny wouldn't eat his lettuce so I had to come out and get some. And, and..'' Her voice trailed off.

''Yes darling?'' Fluttershy just looked down at the ground.

'' Fluttershy what's the matter?'' said Twilight with obvious concern on her lavender face.

'' Its Rainbow Dash. I'm really worried about her.'' Confusion filled her two friends faces. '' Why? It must be really bad if you are worried about Rainbow Dash Darling! '' Fluttershy shrunk down into a tiny ball.

'' Well, Well for the last two nights Rainbow has been crying in her sleep and it's woke me up. She says it doesn't matter and its nothing but, but.. Last night she was screaming and crying: No No No! I Have To! And, and it really scared me!'' Fluttershy looked more worried then ever.

''Oh you poor thing! What about lunch, lets say tomorrow. We can talk about it. Whatever is bothering that poor marefriend of yours, darling. Yes Twilight?'' Twilight nodded and said ''Yes and we should invite the others if what is bothering Rainbow is that serious.'' Rarity and Twilight looked back at Fluttershy and waited for a response.

'' Okay if you say so.''

The three friends eventually separated and Fluttershy got her carrots for Angel Bunny. She was trotting home when she saw Rainbow Dash flying past the beautiful sapphire sky. She looked at the sun, about 3pm, Rainbow Dash would be returning to her cottage soon and they could have a peaceful night together. She continued trotting home and was greeted by her animals at the door. Fluttershy turned the kettle on and got two teacups and saucers out of the cupboard. Then she placed them on the counter ready for when Rainbow Dash got back. Soon enough Rainbow got back and she hang up her saddle bags.

'' Hi Flutters i'm home! '' Fluttershy went up to Rainbow Dash with a cup of tea.

'' Hi Rainbow how's your day been today.'' she was looking for something wrong in Rainbow's magenta eyes but she found nothing.'' Just fine normal day in weather I guess, nothing special.'' Rainbow Dash sat down on the couch.

''That's good. i've just been to the market because Angel Bunny wouldn't eat his lettuce so I had to get some carrots.'' Rainbow Dash nodded and took a nap.

When she woke up Fluttershy was making dinner. ''What's cooking Flutters?'' Rainbow Dash said sleepily. She sat up and rubbed her eyes. ''No nightmares this time.'' she thought.

'' Your favourite.'' Rainbow's eye's widened like a filly's. '

' Really you made carrot dogs and celery soup!'' Fluttershy smiled and said. ''And apple pie for afters!''

Rainbow Dash started singing.
''Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes.'' Then she stopped singing in confusion.''Why?'' Fluttershy looked at the stew pot.

'' Your my special somepony Rainbow and I love you.'' Rainbow went up to Fluttershy and whispered in her pale yellow ear.

'' And I love you too Flutters.'' Fluttershy handed Rainbow a tray with her food on it. Rainbow ate the food hastily while Fluttershy took her time. Soon enough it was time for sleep and they both snuggled down into Fluttershy's bed.

''You gonna be okay?'' Fluttershy asked.

''Why wouldn't I be okay? I'm fine.'' Rainbow said quickly. '' If you say so.'' Soon they both drifted in to sleep.

Rainbow woke up and got out of her cloud bed. She felt different. She rushed over to the bathroom and looked into the mirror.'' I've just got 20% cooler! '' She stared at the mirror with huge eyes. Her face was shaped like a stallions face. Her mane and tail was spiked. Her eyes were still her usual shade of bright magenta. Rainbow looked to her flank, her cutie mark was still the same.

'' Rainbow Dash! Are you awake?'' It was her marefriend's soft voice.

''Flutters look I'm a stallion. It's so awesome!'' Rainbow went into the kitchen Fluttershy was making blueberry pancakes.

'' What are you talking about you have always been a stallion?'' Rainbow blushed. '' Um, um just a joke?'' She blushed harder.

''Um okay? I've made pancakes for breakfast as you have the day-of-today.'' Fluttershy turned to Rainbow

'' Thanks.'' Rainbow planted a kiss on Fluttershy's cheek. It felt different, kissing a mare, her special somepony. Now she was a stallion when she kissed her marefriend she felt she had to take care of her, it was absurd. Fluttershy placed the pancakes and two plates on the table. Rainbow sat down at the table and so did Fluttershy.''What do you want to do today Flutters?'' Rainbow Dash squirted more maple syrup on her pancakes.

'' Whatever you want to do. It's your day!'' Rainbow Dash tapped her new chin.

'' Why don't we go to the park and then we can have a picnic and then we can take Tank and Angel out to play! Also we can have dinner at a restaurant!'' Fluttershy giggled.

'' That would be nice.'' They both finished their breakfast and Fluttershy started to pack a basket full with things they needed for the picnic.

The two pegasus finally set off for their day together. First they stopped of at the park and had their picnic, then they took Tank and Angel out to play and finally they had romantic dinner at the fanciest restaurant in Ponyville. Rainbow felt like she had the best day of her life. ''Thanks for such a awesome day Flutters!'' Fluttershy hid behind her pastel pink mane.

'' It's nothing Rainbow. You hardly get any days off and most of them are spent with the girls.'' Rainbow walked down the hall to her bedroom with thoughts of the amazing day she just had in her head. This hall was dark. She didn't want to admit it but she felt scared.

'' Hi Rainbow. No pony gets what they truly want. However much the they want it.'' A deep Rainbow felt herself changing. The pain rushed though her body.

'' NO! You can't.'' She knew it was too late. She couldn't turn back now. Like she even had a choice. '' I already have.'' A crackling laugh echoed in the dim-lit hallway. She started crying, weeping, for what felt like a life time.

'' Rainbow wake up. It's only a dream a dream a dream.''
