Stars in the Marbles

A few years have passed, and in those few years I moved to a little village called Ponyville. When I walked up to my door, a pink pony came up to me.

     “Hey stranger!” She yelled. Behind her was two canons that went off, I shielded myself from the blast, but then found out that it was just confetti.

      “My name is Pinkie Pie, I'm here to introduce you to Ponyville!”

      “Well, hello Pinkie Pie I'm Star Sound, it's a pleasure to meet you!” I reached out a hoof, and she shook it, vigorously.

      “So? Where have you came from?” She asked, turning her head.

      “I come from Fillydelphia ” I say, holding up a post card.

      “Oh, that sounds fun! So why have you moved here to Ponyville?”

       “After I graduated from the Fillydelphia college, I realized there was nothing for me there, so I moved here”

      “Amazing, well, I see that you have found your house, and you have a lot of stuff, do you want me to come back when you finish unpacking?” She politely said.

       “Thank you, I would appreciate that” I replied, as I grabbed my stuff and walked in. I realized that the place was quite small, but big enough for about two or three ponies. After getting my curtains up, and placed the picture of me and Marble on top the fireplace, I heard a knock at the door. When I opened the door, I saw a white pony, with a look of excitement on her face.

      “Sorry to bother you darling, but I can't help but notice the curtains in your window sill. Would you mind if I take a look?” She asked.

       “Uh, sure? Before you do, what might your name be?” I ask, letting her inside.

       “Why, how could you not recognize me? I am Rarity! The most famous fashionista in Ponyville!”

        “Well, I'm Star Sound, I'm from Fillydelphia, but that name does sound

familiar, I might have seen your face on a magazine.”

        “I'd guess that's some sort of recognition, by the way, where did you get these curtains?” She asked holding them in her hooves.

        “My mother gave them to me before she and my father,” I paused,”left…” Rarity’s face went from exhilarating joy, to a severe sadness.

        “I'm sorry dear, if you don't mind, how did it happen?”

        “It happened when I was a very young colt, I heard that my father died while he was on guard in the crystal empire, and my mother died when she was killed in a robbery.” I said

        “I'm terribly sorry that happened!” Rarity exclaimed.

        “It happened years ago, it's okay, I lived with my aunt and uncle growing up, anyways, what did you want with the curtains?” I asked, gesturing the window

        “Oh! I was wondering if I could borrow them, for a bit of inspiration? I promise to bring them back!” She begged, she used puppy dog eyes to try to convince me.

         “Go ahead, as long as you promise to bring them back” I say as I remove them from the wall.

         “Oh thank you! I promise to bring them back!” She says as she runs out the door. I look out to see that he has ran to a boutique just north of my place. I went back to my house to continue with unpacking.

          After I finished with my house, I decided to go to Sugarcube Corner, because I heard that Pinkie Pie was there, and I still need to be shown around Ponyville.

        “I need to meet up with Pinkie Pie so she can show me around. Hm, her last name sounds familiar to me, reminds me of Marbles last name” I thought as I walked into Sugarcube Corner

         “Hey Star!” Pinkie yelled,” are you ready for me to show you around?” I nodded my head, and we started at the mayor's office

“This is the mayor’s office, and the central part of Ponyville,” Pinkie said as we continued on. She then led me to the boutique that Rarity went into. “This is Rarity’s boutique, let me introduce you to her” Pinkie said as she rapidly knocked on the door. Rarity opened the door to see Pinkies smiling face

       “Why hello Pinkie Pie, what brings you to my shop?” Rarity asks, not even noticing that I was standing next to Pinkie

       “I’m introducing the new resident of Ponyville , Star Sound, to the area!”

       “Oh yes, good to see you again Star!” Rarity said, waving her hoof at me. I wave back, and Pinkie Pie had a look of confusion on her face.

       “You two know each other!?” Pinkie yelled.

       “Yes, we met when I asked to borrow his curtains that I'm using for inspiration” Rarity says, pointing to her workplace in the back.

       “Okie dokie lokie! Let's go to the apple orchard, I'll introduce you to one of my other friends!” She said, as she led me to the orchard. When we got there, I was astonished at how many Apple trees were around. Pinkie Pie walked up the the barn that was close to us and knocked on the door, the same way she did at Rarity’s. Soon after, a mare with an orange coat, and blonde mane walked out.

          “Howdy there Pinkie, what can I do ya for?” She said, tipping her hat.

         “I'm here to introduce Star Sound here to Ponyville!” Pinkie said, pulling me from behind the door.

         “Well, howdy there Star! The name’s Applejack” she said, tipping her hat again.

         “It's nice to meet you, I have to ask, how many acres is your farm?”

          “You know, I don't really know” she replied, staring into her field.

          “Well, that's enough chit-chat, I need to continue to introduce Star to the rest of Ponyville before sundown!” Pinkie said, grabbing my hoof. After I waved Applejack goodbye, Pinkie and I ran to the edge of the everfree forest so I could meet her friend Fluttershy. When I met her, she was quiet, she reminded me of my old lover, Marble. We weren't there long, because Fluttershy refused to talk. Pinkie said she was going to introduce me to Twilight Sparkle, but on our way to her castle,a light blue pegasus with a rainbow mane flew right in front of me

        “Hey!” She said, staring straight at me,”Who the hay are you?”

        “I’m Star Sound, Pinkie is here to introduce me to Ponyville, and i'm guessing that you are a friend of Pinkies?”

        “Well, everypony is friends with Pinkie Pie, but i’m one of her best friends!” She said, raising her hoof in the air.

        “We can’t talk Rainbow Dash! I have to introduce Star to Twilight and her castle so i can plan for his party tonight!”

        “But!” Rainbow Dash started, but before she could say anything, we were gone.

        Pinkie ran me to the big crystal castle that was about in the center of Ponyville. Pinkie rapidly knocked on the castle doors.

        ‘’Hey, Pinkie, isn’t this a castle? Why would you need to introduce me to a castle?” I said while I hear hoofsteps. When the doors open, Princess Twilight Sparkle comes out. I immediately bow in her presence

“Oh, you don’t have to do that!” Twilight said. I raise my head to see Princess Twilight Sparkle staring at me, then back at Pinkie Pie. “So Pinkie, what do you need?”

“I’m here to introduce Star Sound to Ponyville, and our last stop was here!” She replied, with a prevailing tone.

“Oh? Well,” She turns to me,” Welcome to Ponyville! Where have you came from?

“I came from Fillydelphia, when I graduated from the Fillydelphia College, I realized that there was nothing there for me, so I decided to move to Ponyville!”

“Well that was a great decision!” Twilight replied putting out a hoof, in which i gladly shook.

“It’s great that you two are meeting and all, but i’ll go plan for Star’s welcome party!” Pinkie screamed, running off into the distance.I say goodbye and decide to explore a bit more of Ponyville while Pinkie plans for my party.

A few hours of exploring and I see Pinkie run towards me and grab my hoof, and before i could blink, i’m back at my house, and there are pony’s shadows in the window, and lights and music blaring from behind the door. I thought it was a bit intense, but i didn’t really care, because it was nice enough for her to construct this party for me. I walk inside and there was a pretty big party for a small place. Pinkie Pie walked up to the DJ station and grabbed the microphone.

“Hey everypony, I would like to introduce you to the new Ponyville residence, Star Sound!” Pinkie Pie screamed, while a spotlight shined on me. After the cheering the blaring lights came back on, and I walked up to Pinkie and her friends to thank her for the party. before she could answer, she saw the picture of Marble and I together and gasped.

“Star!? How do you know Marble?” She asked

“Marble? she was my high school marefriend, I loved her, but, she had to move back to her farm to help her family. We would have most likely gotten engaged  if she hadn’t moved away…” My thoughts trailed on, until I realized that Pinkie knew who Marble was,”Wait a minute Pinkie, how do you know Marble?”

“Oh, she’s my sister!” She replied. Suddenly, it came to me, her last name is Pie, I was so distracted by her first name, that I never made the connection to her last name. Once Pinkie saw that I was surprised, she offered to bring me to her farm, because she knows that she still lives there. When i agree, her friends said that they would come along too, and that we would leave in the morning.

When morning hit, I packed a few things and walked out the door to see the six ponies that greeted me last night, standing right there. We walk to the Train station and I explained how me and Marble fell in love, and how she was treated, and how I treated her. After a little while of walking, we got to the train station,bought our tickets, and got on the train.

“You know Star, I do kinda, sorta, remember Marble writing about some colt that she really liked, I’m guessing that was you” Pinkie said. I asked how they all met, which they told an amazing story about nightmare moon coming back and them getting something called the elements of harmony, and defeating her. By the time they finished their story, we got to our destination, and after a bit of walking we saw the Pie family rock farm. We got near the door of the house when it opened, and Pinkie’s mother, Cloudy Quartz Pie, and her father, Igneous Rock Pie, walked out, then they were followed by her other sister, Limestone Pie, and my long lost love, Marble Pie.

“Ah Pinkamena, what brings you here on this lovely evening?” Cloudy says, staring at her friends.

“I’m here to be the ‘Pink Reuniting Pony’ and reunite two long lost lovers” Pinkie said. I saw Marble’s face start to come up from looking at the ground but she didn’t see me yet.

“Oh? and who might be the long lost lover?” Her mother said, staring at me, expecting me to answer, and, I did.

“I am” I said. A soon as those words came out of my mouth, Marble’s head came shooting in the air, and her eye’s made complete contact with mine.

“Star Sound!” Marble screamed as her face lit up with joy, and she leaped onto me and giving me a long missed kiss, in which made me drop my stuff. When we separated, she looked around and saw everypony staring at us.

“So this is that nice colt that you kept telling us about!” Igneous said with a smirk. As greeting were made with the rest of Pinkie’s friend, me and Marble stayed side by side.

“I am so glad to see you again Star! I was going to try to gather enough bits to visit you in Fillydelphia, but over the years, I wasn’t able too.” She said with a hint of sadness.

“Well, luckily, I met your sister, or else I wouldn’t have be able to see you again!” I replied, giver her a light kiss on her forehead. Since it was late, we all decided to go to bed, which we slept in the guest room. In the middle of the night, I suddenly felt somepony come into my bed, and cuddle up against me.

        “Hey honey, you don’t mind if I sleep here for the night, would you?” I hear Marble’s voice come from the body.

“Not at all!” I said, as I cuddled up next to her.

“I’m so glad that we are seeing each other again, and I’m sorry I couldn’t write to you, it’s been so busy on the farm, that I never had time to, and I was worried that you would forget about me and--” I stop her from continuing by kissing her on her muzzle,

“I would never forget about you Marble, I love you, and I will never stop loving you!” I feel her arm reach around me.

“I love you too Star!” she said as she ended the night with a long drawn out kiss. I couldn’t wait to marry her!
