Chapter Two: Bounty Hunter

" You either try or die trying."

It was currently 10:50 am and all seems quiet in the wasteland but if you focus you can hear gunshots from outside of the raiders attacking a settlement somewhere, the land seems as if poisoned with all the bloodshed, but even so, in lands like these a very small field of Daisies bloomed on a distant mountaintop, guarded by Ghouls of all sorts. In Tenpony tower loud hoofsteps were heard from a white coated mare, as she was rushing down a well lit stairway to where a train station was located just below Tenpony tower.

I finally reached the station and found the stallion that I was looking for, he was exiting the train unloading some luggage and cargo. So I  politely waited for him to finish unloading, it made me seem lady like just sitting there waiting, in fact a few stallions walked up to me and asked if I'd go on a date with them, of course I denied them which encouraged more to ask me.

It was 20 minutes of waiting and being ask to go out on a date, but the stallion I was waiting for finished unloading cargo, which he is now drinking equestrian wasteland style coffee. I never liked coffee that much though, I walk up to his table to talk to him, he didn't seem to notice me so I had to call him by name.

" Hey Sunstone, I heard from Eclipse that you know where my father is." I greeted the orange coated unicorn stallion, Sunstone also had a light yellow mane and tail, his cutie mark is that of a burning gem, Sunstone works down here in the train station quite often but he owns a store in the market area, since he gets paid in gems he uses them in making talismans.

" Ah yes, I did tell Eclipse to get you, but uh, where is she?" Sunstone asked in a strange accent, I never exactly figured out what his accent was though.

" Don't worry I brought her back to your living quarters." I assured him, he gave me a 'thank you' look, but I still needed my answer. " If you know anything about my father then please, tell me." I added calmly.

" Ah yes, since I work here I tend to hear gossip every now and then, when I was unloading some of the cargo I overheard some ponies talking about your father, I do not know the full details, but perhaps you can ask her for yourself." he finished pointing towards a pale peach coated earth pony mare with a curly pale yellow mane and tail. So I thanked Sunstone for his time and approached the mare.

" Excuse me but I heard you may know where my father might be." I asked the mare, who is now giving my a weird look.

" Oh my, have lost your daddy sugar?" she asked in return. What a weird accent, but I'm getting off track.

" In a way, kinda, he left me and my sister when we were only five years old." I answered, kinda feeling like I forgot to mention something.

" My my, so you have daddy issues then sugar?" she asked changing her last question. Oh thank Celestia that I didn't have a weapon on me right now, because if I did I'd probably have shot her head off.

" UGH! No, I was told you may have see my dad, you know, black coated pony with a silver mane and tail!" I snarled, she was not making my day any better.

" My my, you don't need to shout, but yes Ah've seen him, in fact he came to me about a few days ago at New Ponyville to tell ya to go to the Megamart trading hub in Hoofington." she replied, Hoofington, why Hoofington of all places, that place is basically a death trap.

" *Sigh* Well that's something I guess, thanks uh, I'm sorry I never got your name, my name is Deadshot." I asked, mom would always say that it's rude to ask for somepony else's name without introducing your own name first.

" Nice to meet ya Deadshot, mah name is Vanilla Coffee, but ya can just call me Coffee, sugar." she replied, her name is actually nice, unlike mine, my name sounds like I'm gonna shoot somepony. I said my goodbyes to Coffee and Sunstone as well as all the other stallions there that asked me on a date and the ponies that I knew before heading back up to the lobby of Tenpony tower.

When I was back in the lobby I saw Spectre fast asleep on a bench with two security ponies poking him trying to get him to move, so as I came close to the bench I told the security ponies that I could takeover, the security ponies stepped aside to let me do my magic.

" Wake up sleepy head." I whispered.

" *snort* uh, five more minutes mom." he mumbled, so I did the most obvious.

*SMACK*

" OW! WHY DO YOU KEEP SLAPPING ME!?" he cried, which got a smile from me.

" You know the security ponies don't like it when you fall asleep on public benches right?" I asked.

" What no, I wasn't sleeping, I was napping." he replied getting off the bench. " So, did you get any info on your dad?" he asked.

" Yeah, apparently he wants me to go to Megamart in Hoofington." I answered sourly.

" HOOFINGTON!?" Spectre shouted receiving stares from ponies around us making him embarrassed. " I mean, why Hoofington?" he whispered.

" Don't know but I guess we should go check it out." I replied.

*20 minutes later*

" So why did you bring me along, you could've just sold the stuff we got with Spectre or Moonstone you know." Razor Edge complained.

" Well maybe she has a good reason to bring you along." a white pegasus mare suggested.

" Well we need to sell some stuff and then we need to catch a train, that's why." I answered.

" Why do we need to catch a train ride for?" Razor Edge asked.

" We need to get to Hoofington." I replied.

" Why, that place is like a death trap." Moonstone said with some fear in her voice.

" Well it's a good thing that I got you to modify our pipbucks with enervation sensors, my sister and I have been there before and there was enervation fields almost everywhere, luckily nowadays the enervation has died down so there's no worries." I assured her as we approached a weapons and equipments store, Thunder Gun's weapons and equipment emporium, what sucks is that the weapon store is outside of Tenpony tower, but at least we can now carry our weapons and ammo with us into the tower now, a few years back we weren't allowed to, although security is really tight now that everypony can carry a weapon around with them. As we walked into the store a yellow earth pony stallion with a yellow and light blue mane and tail called out to me.

" Hey hey, Deadshot!" the yellow earth pony called in an odd accent. " How's my favourite customer and supplier doing?" he asked.

" I'm fine but how about you Thunder Gun?" I happily greeted back.

" Oh I'm just fine, but what have you got for me this time?" the yellow earth pony asked.

" Well since I don't see any assault rifles hanging around, so I guess I can sell you mine." I replied.

" Ah fine rifles indeed, and you have two of them, wonderful." Thunder Gun said happily examining the assault rifles.

" I also have this helmet." I said adding the helmet.

" Well with the condition the rifles are in plus the helmet." he replied suspending the moment by taking a second look at the stuff I had just put in front of him. " 245 caps." he said. That seems a bit too low for my taste.

" 280 caps." I countered.

" 250 caps." he objected.

" 270 caps." I objected his objection.

" 260 caps!" he objected my objection to his objection.

" 275 caps no higher!" I suggested.

" 265 caps no less!" he suggested, alright then I guess I could live with that.

" 265 caps it is." I replied happily, not as much as I wanted but it's still a good price.

" *Sigh* Looks like you got me again Deadshot." he sighed as he pulled out a bag of caps. As Moonstone looked around for ammunition and protective gear I was counting my caps, apparently I had over 6,000 caps, that's good because a one way train ride to Hoofington is 500 caps each and it's double that for a two way trip, but I guess we'll just take a one way trip to Hoofington and scavenge the place a bit, that means I have to pay 1,500 caps for us in total to ride the train.

After we got what we needed we headed back into Tenpony tower to go down into the train station. As we made our way down to the train station, I saw Spectre sitting on a bench waiting for something or somepony. So we paid for our tickets and stood in the waiting area as I talked with Spectre.

" So, who're you waiting for Spectre?" I asked my old friend.

" Well I was waiting for you to say goodbye, you know since you'll be gone for awhile and all that." he answered.

" You know you didn't have to, we were just going to drop by Hoofington and-" I was cut off when Spectre suddenly pulled me into a tight embrace, I didn't really know how to respond to this, but the look that I was receiving from both my sister and the white pegasus said was ' hug him back Deadshot', so I returned his hug as Moonstone looked like she was about to cry, then Spectre suddenly kissed me in the lip which caught me off guard, wide eyed I was panicking in thought of what to do, then I looked over to Razor Edge for help but her face seemed to say ' DO IT, MAKE HIS DREAM COME TRUE, JUST DO IT!', so I closed my eyes and returned the kiss while blushing, but I faintly heard Moonstone crying tears of happiness which kinda made me smile inside. The kiss lasted for probably 16 minutes but as the train arrived our lips had to sadly part ways.

After the encounter with Spectre which resulted in Moonstone crying, we hopped on board the 'Viking' which was a pullmare, these trains were basically luxury trains. But as the train left the station I saw Spectre waving at me from the waiting area so I returned the wave slightly blushing, I've got to admit he's a surprisingly good kisser. As the train was leaving Manehattan I took a nice long look at my home before it was out of view.

The trip would take a few stops before we make it to the Hoof, the first stop would be New Canterlot, next would be Ponyville, New Pegasus is after that, and then finally the Hoof. But halfway to Hoofington the train will be given a maintenance check and repairs so that'll take a full day.

It was about 6:00 pm and the train was starting to serve dinner, we sat in a booth third closest to the door that lead to the back passenger car, the passenger car had seats that became bunk beds. As we finished ordering and the waiter left with our orders I saw a very shady group enter the dining compartment, there were two unicorns and two earth ponies in cloaks, but the final pony was a rather large unicorn. It kinda bothers me with the fact that the group were looking directly at us, but then the large pony started walking towards us with the others following closely behind him, now that I've gotten a good look all the ponies in the group were stallions so I kinda have a good idea of what was about to go down.

" Hey there beautifuls, I couldn't help but notice that the three of you ladies look lonely, so why don't the three of you join me and my pals here in the caboose?" the cloaked stallion asked in a deep raspy voice. I was able to get a good look at his coat colour, it was a bluish grey and his mane was a deep ultramarine colour, but this guy was an idiot if he thinks we'd join him.

" No thank you, we don't do pigs." I taunted.

" If you want to do this the hard way then we'll do it the hard way." he whispered threateningly, I saw him reaching for something in his cloak but I didn't see what it was until he pulled it out, Moonstone's eyes widened in horror as Razor Edge's eyes narrowed in anger when he pulled out a shotgun and pointed it at my head. " Now, unless you want your friend's head turning into paint on that window you'd better join us." he demanded, he looked at me as if he had won, but I thought to myself that if he saw my left eye under my mane he might freak out enough for me to grab his shotgun. So as I was about to flash my eye at him a somepony shouted at him at the same time as somepony, then out of the blue a familiar dark blue-grey pegasus stallion with an azure-ish white and celestial blue mane comb over to one side of his face with his back mane combed upwards flew straight into the group of ponies kicking the leader square in the face with his hind legs making him collapse to the ground. As the stallion stood on top of the group's fallen leader he said something rather surprising, especially to me.

" How low can you ponies get?" he said smirking. " Didn't your mother teach you to not threatened innocent mares like that?" he mocked, I kinda have to disagree with him on that, I don't think I count as innocent, as the group of ponies looked down to their fallen leader they started to pull out their weapons but as they attempted to pull their weapons out a loud voice shouted at them.

" KEEP YOUR GUNS HOLSTERED!" the voice boomed, I looked over to where the voice came from and there he was, standing in the doorway stood a charcoal coated unicorn stallion with an asparagus and ash grey mane trimmed in a buzzcut. " There will be no gunfire or fighting on this train!" he shouted. As the leader of the group got up the military looking stallion shouted at him. " Dark Saddle, if you and your gang pull a stunt like this again I swear I'll throw you and your gang off the train while it's still moving!" he warned. As Dark Saddle got up his gang slowly walked him off to the door that lead to the front passenger car, the stallion looked over to the pegasus next and just gave him a smile.

" I'm very sorry about that, but please enjoy your stay here madam ." he said bowing his head before leaving, well I can certainly say that he has more manners than Spectre that's for sure. The silence was later broken by the pegasus stallion.

" Hey, um, do you mind if I sat here?" the pegasus asked.

" No not at all." I said scooting over and motioned at my sister. " Move your fat flank over Razor Edge." I whispered to her jokingly.

" You have a way fatter flank than mine." Razor Edge whispered sourly.

" Thanks a lot ladies." the stallion thanked. " Oh my name is Astral bolt, what're yours?" Astral bolt added.

" Well my name is Deadshot." I answered, then Moonstone answered next.

" My name is Moonstone Stitches, but you can just call me Moonstone." Moonstone replied.

" I'm Razor Edge." my sister said while pouting.

" Wow, has anypony ever told you two that you both have name that're like raider names?" the pegasus stallion added, I noticed that my sister really got offended by, so I had to change the subject.

" Aaaanyway, what do you want?" I asked.

" Want what?" he questioned

" Do you want caps for saving us or something?" I asked again.

" No not really, I just saw three mare in trouble, so I jumped in to help." he answered.

" Oh really, also why is it that I recognize you?" I asked.

" I think you saw me at Manehattan's train station, but I definitely saw you there." he answered. So that's why I thought he looked familiar. " Also I was too scared to talk to you specifically since I saw that unicorn stallion kissing you." he added. Well now I'm embarrassed, so I did just kissed my friend that I knew my whole life for 16 minutes in public for everypony to see. But I just realized Astral Bolt said he was scared of Spectre, and it seems that Razor Edge was about to him why.

" Why were you afraid of the stallion that was with Deadshot for?" Razor Edge questioned.

" Weeell, I was going to ask Deadshot out on a date for when we got on the train, but then I saw that she was with another stallion." the dark blue grey pegasus sulked.

" Do you have any idea of how many times Deadshot has shot down a stallion's request to go on a date?" Razor Edge asked. Astral Bolt just shook his head and looked at me, but so did Moonstone and Razor Edge, why did they look at me for? " Hey sis what's your dates denied count?" my sister ask, kinda of rude to ask a mare that question, but I told them anyway

" I think it's at 344 denied request as of late." I answered receiving blank stares from all three ponies. As the waiter came back with our meal they were still shocked at my answer, what? a mare should never shoot down a dating request?

" Hey look, food!" I tempted trying to get their minds off of my long record of denying a date request. They shook themselves out of their trance as they looked at their food, not too long ago Astral Bolt ordered some mashed potatoes and baby corn, Razor Edge ordered what was  buttered mashed potatoes with a side of corn and peas, Moonstone just ordered fish and chips, the fish is salna which is a mutant offspring of a giant salmon and tuna. I for one ordered tacos, I love tacos.

Later after the dinner we headed off to bed, and for some reason Astral Bolt's request to be moved into our room was approved. My sister and I weren't very welcoming of a stallion that we just met sleep in the same room with us, but somehow Moonstone was able to talk the two of us into allow it. So before I fell asleep I carefully kept my eye on Astral Bolt before I started to drift off into the realm of sleep.

I awoke in the same dream again, everywhere around me was white except me and my mom, who is not here, I looked around for her but couldn't find her. But out of nowhere a large black mass appeared out of the ground sprouting a unicorn's horn, it's eyes were blacker than black, it's pupil were white, like mine.

" Why hello there puny one." the black mass greeted in a cold spine chilling female voice. " Have you come here seeking for the secrets of my magic?" the black mass added.

" Who are you!?" I demanded. " What are you doing here!?" I added.

" Why, I'm you, I'm here to teach you how to use your power." the mass answered as it slowly transformed into a black version of me but she was much taller than me.

" Why would I trust you?" I asked.

" Well let me put it this way, if you die then so do I." the shadowy mare answered. If she's the one that gave me my power then maybe this is my chance to get some answers from her.

" Are there any other ponies out there with the same power that I have?" I questioned.

" Yes and no, there are those that has gained power through those red ghouls, but they do not have the same power as yours, each pony will have their own special power and, guide." she answered, strange I wonder if she knows more about these red ghouls.

" Do you know how one of those red ghouls form, or how a pony gets there power?" I questioned again.

" No I sadly do not know, but how a pony gets their powers are chosen by a force that is beyond me, but we must get you trained." she answered, and with that she asked for my name, well it's kinda rude to ask for somepony's name without telling your own first, but something tells me I shouldn't piss her off.

" Well my name is Deadshot, so what's yours?" I answered, I asked for her name because I don't want to keep thinking of her as the black mass that appeared in my dream.

" I have never thought of a name." the shadowy mare answered, she thought for a good ten minutes before saying something. " I would wish to be called Zilla." she finally answered.

" Well Zilla it's nice to meet you but I would like to know where my mom went." I replied, I really wish I knew where my mom went, it's not like she would leave me note, or would she?

" Your mother is fine, she is up there." Zilla answered pointing up, I thought she meant that my mom kicked the bucket again and flew off to heaven, but when I looked up I saw my mom sitting in what looks like a chair from a stadium.

" Hello sweetheart." my mom greeted me from 12 feet in the air.

" What're you doing up there?" I shouted.

" I'm about to watch the show." she said as a bag of popcorn appeared right next to her. Show? What show, I looked over to Zilla who is now standing behind three shadow ponies, oh wait I just noticed that three shadow ponies were running at me, as two stopped one continued  running at me, when it got near me it threw a punch at me as I tried to dodge but got punched in the gut, this continued for about 12 more punches to the gut and 5 upper cuts to the face.

" Use your left eye as well Deadshot." Zilla shouted.

" My eye can only see through walls!" I shouted back.

" There is more to your eye than that Deadshot." Zilla replied back, so I just went with it and used my left eye, and surprisingly I was fighting way better than before, did I ever mention I always just go with the flow, because I always seem to listen to just about everypony.

I was training for what seemed like a good 2 hours, and I learned more about my eye during that time, although there is more I need to know about my power, and now that I know that other ponies could have powers too, I knew I had to be careful. Sadly my dream was about to end and I wasn't able to spend time with my mom at all, but she said that maybe next time I could spend time with her. And as the dream was starting to fade again as I hugged my mother goodbye, but I noticed that Zilla looked very, distant, so I called her to come and join in the hugging, at first she looked shocked and then she smiled and walked over to us, embracing me and my mom in a big hug, she was suddenly crying, it's as if no pony has ever gave her a hug before.

As I woke up I looked around for any sign that Astral Bolt did something that he shouldn't, as I walked over to where the dark blue grey pegasus was sleeping, as I got close to the bed he sudden woke up in shock as if he was having a nightmare, luckily he didn't wake up the others, it was about 7:00 in the morning and basically everypony on the train was sleeping.

" Oh is it morning already?" Astral Bolt asked, I was about to answer but he jumped straight out of bed and was about to leave the room. " I'll go and see what they have for breakfast." he said walking out of the room, I was going to tell him that it's only 7:00 in the morning, but I was too tired to. About 5 minutes later Astral Bolt returned looking a little more awake but was kinda sulking.

" Hehe, whoops, too early I guess." the pegasus said still sulking.

" That's ok, I'm gonna go for a walk, mind keeping an eye on these two for me?" I asked.

" Yeah sure, no problem." Astral Bolt replied. I was walking all the way to the back of the train where I could find someplace quiet before everypony wakes up, as I reached the caboose I stepped out the back door to a platform with railings. At times like these I get to see the beautiful night sky when it's mixed with the orange horizon when the sun is rising. Ah what a wonderful view, except the fact that I saw some shadows duck behind some hills heading in the same direction as the train but I didn't really think much of it. As I was on my way back to our room, I heard an explosion, I quickly ran to my room and was relieved to see that it was okay.

" What's going on!?" Razor Edge asked.

" I don't know, but I think it's an attack." I answered grabbing my rifle. I quickly ran towards the explosion and ended up at a train car where the guards were shooting at ponies outside of the train, when I looked at the ponies outside of the train I noticed that they were mercenaries by the looks of their gear and weapons, as I saw a guard get shot in the arm he jumped back in pain leaving his position open, I took the chance to take the spot.

" All civilians must clear the area!" one of the guards shouted.

" let me handle this, I probably have the best aim out of all of you combined so don't try and stop me!" I shouted back as I shot five ponies, leaving seven more to go.

" Holy shit, she just shot five ponies without missing!" one of the other guards shouted, as I shot four more, leaving three left.

" Retreat!" shouted one of the attackers, probably the leader, but before they could get away, I shot one more through the heart, I found out during my dream that one of my abilities were to see a ponies or any living creatures organs, adding that with S.A.T.S from my pipbuck, I'm basically the best shooter in the wastelands, but I've never tried it yet.

" Wow you're amazing, have you ever thought of joining the guards on this train?" one of the guards asked to which I simply told them that guarding is not my thing. But as I was leaving I looked over to the train car that was hit, I focused my hearing, and I thought I heard somepony crying, I couldn't tell but for sure so I used my eye to see through the passenger car when no pony was watching, and there trapped in the passenger car was a mare and her foal, what's worse is that the car was catching on fire, I couldn't just sit there, I've seen this happen before, so when no pony was looking I quickly raced into the burning car.

" Deadshot no!" I heard my sister shout, but it was too late since I was already in, I didn't bother to cover my eye since I needed it to guide me to the trapped ponies. I ran past a least six rooms before I reached hers. As I entered the room I realized why they haven't left the car, the mare was trapped by debris from the explosion and the foal didn't want to leave her mother and breathed in too much smoke, this is almost an exact copy of what happened that day. The mare looked so young, and the foal seemed like she was only 4 years old, as I stepped closer to the mare the heat got more intense, I looked over to the mare wondering if she was still alive, but at the sound of my hoofsteps the mare looked up to me looking relieved.

" Please take my filly out of here*cough*, she's only four, I'm at least 20, I may be young, but she hasn't lived a full*cough* *cough* life yet, so please I beg of you, save her." the mare requested in a weak fading voice.

" No, there's no way I'm leaving you here too." I answered using my body to prep up the debris, luckily I the fire isn't that strong but it still burns like hell, then using my magic I levitated the debris higher as I stepped away to grab the mare's forehooves with my own and I quickly pulled the mare out before the debris fell on her. I felt quite proud of myself to think of that, but the danger isn't over yet, I quickly levitated the mare onto my back and then the filly next and holy Luna shitting moon rocks were they burning. I held them down on my back with my magic so that they wouldn't fall off, as I was making sure that they weren't hitting anything hot, the train cars was starting to get really hot now as I kept bumping into some sharp debris every now and then burning and cutting some of my coat and skin off revealing lots to tissue underneath, the exit was starting to get blocked off by falling debris but it didn't stop me as I burst through the exit with all my strength, bouncing and rolling along the ground as I let go of the mare and her filly from my magic, I probably look like a ghoul by now though.

" WHY IN THE NAME OF CELESTIA WOULD YOU DO THAT DEADSHOT!?" Razor Edge shouted, as my vision began to blur.

" We need to give her healing potions fast!" I heard Moonstone shout, it was kinda echoey.

" Here are some healing potions, we may also have one or two regeneration potions." I heard a stallion's voice answered.

" Quickly she needs them now!" Astral Bolt shouted, as he also sounded echoey.

" Come on stay with us Deadshot you crazy pony!" my sister called. " If anypony can make it through this it's you!" I heard Razor Edge call out to me, but I'm too tired to stay awake. " Keep your eyes open!" I heard Razor Edge cry again, she kept crying out my name as she said something else but I couldn't hear it as my eyes closed to sleep as everything went black.

I woke up in shock as to what had happened to me, but when I looked around it was already night, then I noticed Astral Bolt fast asleep in a chair next to where I was lying down, which seems to be my bed in the our room, as I tried to get up my whole body was hurting, but me trying to move seemed to have caught the attention of the dark blue grey pegasus, when he opened one of his eyes his other eye quickly popped open as he was about to say something.

" Hey Razor Edge, Moonstone, Deadshot's awake!" he shouted. I wanted to shush him as I tried to stand up, but I heard hoofsteps running down the hallway when suddenly the door blew open.

" Deadshoooooot!!!!" Razor Edge cried tears of joy as she tightly wrapped all four hooves around me.

" Deadshot you're ok!" I heard Moonstone cry as she walked up to hug me too.

" What's all this about?" I asked confused about what was happening. " I was only out for a few hours." I added.

" No Deadshot, you were out for one day and a few hours." Moonstone corrected as she opened the curtains to the room, it was day outside, then I looked over to my pipbuck sitting on a table that read '5:00 pm'.

" We thought you'd never wake up!" Razor Edge cried as she was literally crying me a river but what I want to know is how was she taking while crying?

" Well I'm awake, but all of this pain in my body is terrible, and my sister crushing me to death isn't helping either." I replied, I swear I only slept for a few hours. " Where are we headed now?" I asked.

" *sniff* We're headed to*sniff*New Ponyville*sniff*." Razor Edge answered sniffling.

" Luckily you didn't miss anything since the train had to repaired, so we were stuck in New Canterlot for about a day." Astral Bolt added, this just popped into my head but why did Astral Bolt take the train for.

" Hey Astral Bolt why were you on this train for?" I asked.

" You just came back to life and and you're ignoring me already, why do you have to be so cold!?" Razor Edge cried, which I ignored.

" Well I got kicked out of my home so I just got as many caps as I could and took this train to Hoofington, maybe there might be some work there for me." Astral Bolt answered.

" Why don't you join us Astral, mind if I call you that?" I offered, Astral replied saying that he was ok with me calling him Astral, and that he'd love to join us, congratulations Deadshot you just gained another pegasus in your group.

When the train had finally stopped at New Ponyville all the passengers were notified that we should come back in two days since they will have to make lots of repairs and refueling, as we stepped off the train we have to take pictures so that we could be recognized when we came back, I was the first one out of the four of us to hand in my picture, but after we all finished we started heading down to the market area, Moonstone and Astral followed behind my sister and I since we know this place like the back of our necks.

After about 20 minutes of walking we finally make it to the market area, as the others went to look at what the stores had, I was elsewhere. I never knew that I had been asleep for so long, is that what being dead is like, I can't remember much but I remember a voice in all that darkness say something to me, but my memory was too hazy. As I looked around I tried to look for a way to make some caps, then I saw a familiar cloudy blue pegasus stallion wearing a brown duster.

" Hey Swift Nimbus is that you?" I called out to the pegasus.

" Well what do we have here, Deadshot it's you!" the pegasus replied. I quickly walk over to him, I noticed there was a silver star pinned to his coat.

" Yep, it's me, how are you doing these days?" I asked the pegasus.

" Oh ah'm fine, although bein' sheriff doesn't make it any better." the pegasus answered.

" Oh a sheriff huh, then do you know of any way for me to make caps fast?" I asked.

" Well I'd go to that billboard there and take a job if ah were you." he answered. As I walked up to the billboard Swift Nimbus accompanied me, I took a look at the billboard and noticed the a lot of them were ponies with bounties on their head.

" What's this about?" I asked the pegasus.

" Well there's been a rise in criminals lately so we have this here." the cloudy blue pegasus answered. I took a look at a few of the bounties, and a lot of them pay well, one in particular caught my eye, a raider gang leader with a dead or alive reward of 2,000 caps and he was near by, as I pulled the paper off the board Swift Nimbus looked at me in shock.

" What's wrong?" I asked the pegasus.

" Well it's just, no pony has ever taken that bounty." he answered.

" So then I'm the first one to pick it?" I asked again.

" No, everypony who has picked that bounty has died to him, then he would brin' the corpse back without the head." Swift Nimbus answered. A dangerous pony huh.

" So has he ever bothered the town?" I asked.

" Yes, he has, captured a couple ponies about a day back." he answered. Welp I have my answers, I later told my sister, Moonstone and Astral that I was going to be gone for awhile, I couldn't really drag them into this, I went down to the market and bought a 9mm pistol with a silencer attached, luckily I had lots of ammo for it. As I was heading off I saw a strange bird flying over head, but I just ignored it.

I was walking for about an hour in the direction of my target, it was starting to get dark so I had to set up camp in a place no pony would see me, I looked around for awhile until I found the perfect building, it had three floors and you could access the roof too, meaning that I can go from building to building without being noticed.

As night started to roll in I was starting to worry, I'm starting to think that it was a bad idea to not bring another pony with me, and sadly I left Jumper back at Tenpony tower with Spectre, so I don't have anypony to watch my back while I slept. It was almost 12:00 am and I was starting to get sleepy, I wanted to make sure that there was no raiders around before I slept, I didn't bring my night vision goggles, but I luckily have built in night vision, built in night vision now only 100,000 caps. I looked around for any sign of raiders but found nothing, except the bird that was flying over me earlier. I kept watching it a little longer, but the bird wouldn't fly anywhere else, then out of nowhere a voice in my head called out to me.

"Reach out your hoof" the voice called inside of my head. So I stupidly listened to the voice and reached out my hoof, as I waited there for about 2 minutes looking stupid with my hoof sticking out of a wide open window when eventually I saw the bird stopped flying in circles and started flying at me, at first I thought the bird was about to attack my hoof and I wasn't quick enough to get my rifle or pistol, this bird was really fast, I closed my eyes believing I was about to be killed by this bird. But I felt something light landing on my hoof, I opened my eyes to see a strange large black bird perched on my hoof, it looked at me and tilted its head.

" Greetings Deadshot, my name is Raven." a strange female voice spoke in my head.

" Um..uh hello, am I going crazy." I spoke to myself.

" No, I am talking to you through our minds." the voice spoke. Then I remembered that other ponies can have powers too.

" If you're trying to get answers out of my mind, then you're not getting anything." I spoke back to the voice but using my mind this time.

" Silly, I'm not here for that, look over to your hoof and you'll see me." the voice replied. I looked over to my hoof, where a bird is currently perched. " Hi, I'm Raven." the bird thought at me.

" A bird is talking to me...through my mind."  I thought to the bird, I was about to have a mental breakdown, I must be dead, I died and went to hell, and now I'm talking to a demon.

" I'm not a demon!" the bird thought back. " I am a dusk phoenix." Raven added.

" Ok I'm going nuts here, how does a, um, dusk phoenix talk using their minds?" I asked, she said phoenix so I just thought that they were related to a balefire phoenix or something so I didn't question it.

" We don't, but like you I got attacked by a glowing red ghoul." she answered lifting she her wing revealing a scar. " You know, I've been watching you lately, I saw how you rescued that mare and her filly." Raven added.

" Wait, you've been watching me?" I questioned, so I'm being stalked by a dusk phoenix that talks through our minds. " What kind of power do you have anyway?" I asked, I'll need to ask Zilla if creatures other than ponies or zebras can gain powers.

" Well, I have the power of telepathy, it allows me to know where a pony, zebra, or creature's location is at, at any time I want, and it allows me to talk through my mind." Raven answered.

" Why are you still following me for anyway?" I asked Raven.

" Please let me join you, I've been alone my entire life." Raven begged, looking at me with razor sharp looking eyes, but she sounds legitimately sad. I couldn't tell for sure but another voice in my head told me to use my eye. So I looked at Raven with my left eye, something in the back of my mind clicked as I saw a light blue glow appear around Raven, I just looked at Raven wondering what the blue light was, but I suddenly heard Zilla's voice.

" Your power is unique Deadshot, you can see anything, even somepony else's aura, if it is light blue they are telling you the truth, but if it is dark red then they are lying." Zilla informed in a spiritual way. How the hell is she talking to me? I thought I can only talk to her through my dream. Anyway, I made up my mind and I finally gave Raven my answer.

" Alright, I'll let you join me." I answered, if Razor Edge was here she'd say that I'm too trusting.

" Really?!" Raven asked through our minds.

" Really." I answered again.

" Then with my honor as a dusk phoenix I, Raven, pledge loyalty to you, Deadshot, and you alone." Raven replied, why would she what to pledge loyalty to me for? I'm about to kill somepony in cold blood, but I remembered something I learned from my mom, she would always talk about how loyal a phoenix was and whenever I'd ask her how she knows that she would say that it was in an old book in Tenpony tower.

" Hey Raven does a dusk phoenix ever sleep?" I asked Raven.

" Yes but only during a certain time in the day." she answered.

" Cool, do to think you can stand guard for tonight?" I asked again.

" Why of course." Raven thought back. As I was about to go to sleep I pulled out the wanted poster, it read ' Chainsaw, wanted dead or alive, 2,000 caps, leader of the Blood Jackal raiders gang, type: raider' this guy was dangerous, he'll be even more dangerous if he had powers like mine. I didn't think much of it, and I don't think stress is good for me at times like these so I just closed my eyes as I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up suddenly to somepony calling my name, and the pony sounded worried.

" Oh thank Celestia you're alright." a bluish white unicorn mare called out.

" Oh, hi mom." I said before I took a slap to the face.

" You could have been killed you fool."  tall dark version of me said.

" Hello to you too Zilla." I replied, I'm surprised that she slaps as hard as I do for her size.

" You need to train more if you're going to challenge this 'Chainsaw'." Zilla calmly stated. " But if you do manage to kill him, I want you to know that an aura will appear after his death, that aura will look for you and then it will fuse into your own aura, granting you more power.

" Wait so if I killed somepony I'll get more power?" I asked.

" No, if you kill somepony who already has power, you'll gain more power yourself, it won't give you much power but it with either grant you new abilities or unlock more secrets of your eye."  Zilla answered.

" Okay then, so what more is there for me to train in." I asked standing up ready to train, receiving a smile from Zilla in return.

I'm really starting to regret my decision now, I never agreed to take on 10 shadow ponies all at once. Ok I realized how that sounded and it was not what I meant, I've been taking a beating right now, as another punch came at me I quickly dodged and smashed the shadow pony in the face with my hoof, I was going like this for about 2 hours in the dream before I collapsed to the glowing white ground.

" Well I think you've trained enough, so good luck to you in defeating Chainsaw." my mother said as she picked me off the ground, I was in a dream and I was still breathing heavily as if I just went for a 10 mile run. Though I was still way out of breath I had enough energy to give both my mom and Zilla a goodbye hug before leaving as yet again the world faded to white.

" Gooood morning Deadshot~!" Raven shouted in my mind, ow you're hurting my brain Raven.

" *YAWN* Good morning Raven." I replied stretching my forehooves.

" Is it time to go hunting?" Raven asking using mind talk.

" Yeah let's go." I replied.

I was jumping from building to building while Raven was high in the sky looking out for raiders, as I came to a complete stop I saw a raider just before I ducked behind cover. I chanced a peek as I saw the raider standing near the edge of the building. I slowly approached the raider while attaching a silencer to my newly bought 9mm pistol, as I was basically right behind the raider I quickly clamped her mouth shut using my magic while I also held my pistol using magic, *Two silenced gunshots* I quickly shot the raider in the heart and windpipe, making sure she can't warn anypony. After I moved the raider elsewhere I quickly got down on my belly and looked through my rifle's scope while using my left eye to look through the walls. I looked around for about a few minutes and I eventually found him on the third floor of a school building, I couldn't shoot him through the wall but I could sneak into the building easily without being caught.

So I got down to work, from where I was there were many cables and wires that went all over the place, the building that Chainsaw is in was straight ahead of me from the building that I stood on, but that would be too obvious, plus there are raiders in a building connected to the school to my left on the first floor and two on the second but they were sleeping, so if I swinged straight for Chainsaw I'd be spotted very easily by the raiders on the first floor. I looked around a little longer and found that there were only ten raiders here but most of them were sleeping, so it would seem that going to the left building would be my best choice, a cable was attached from the building that I was standing on to the second floor of what was once a library of the school, the cable stopped just above a long brick balcony, the only problem was how I was going to get down there.

I looked around for any way of ziplining down to the balcony I needed something to wear for protection, then I looked at the raider I just killed, she was wearing a right leather shoulder pad with a leather breastplate and there was a strange metal hoofclaw that looks like five downward facing blades attached to a metal tube with gears and pistons on her right hoof, I tried to just get the shoulder pad, and breastplate, but the odd hoofclaw was attached by leather straps to the first two items I mentioned. So as I was finally able to get the shoulder pad and breastplate on correctly the only thing I didn't get was the weird hoofclaw, but as I had put the hoofclaw on, my right hoof that was in the hoofclaw felt something tingle as my pipbuck made a beeping noise, the pipbuck was so light that I forgot that it was still there, I looked over to my pipbuck as there was something new on it saying,' hoofclaw/dagger claws attached' it had instructions right next to it to, it said to think of fingers appearing, what the hell are those?

" Just think of claws and what they're attached to on a dragon, those are fingers." Raven thought at me.

I didn't ask and just thought of dragon claws with fingers and as I did the five blades began to change from stiff sheets of metal to fingers, each one separated from being one blade and turned into what Raven called fingers but with razor sharp blades. Oh yeah, this'll help a lot, I walked back to the edge of the building overlooking the school, Chainsaw was still there sleeping, I looked up at the cable starting to doubt my plan, these claws were sharp so I was thinking that it might cut the cable, but what other choice did I have. I looked at Raven one last time before I ziplined behind enemy lines, with my rifle strapped onto my back and pistol holstered I jumped off the roof and grabbing the steel cable with my new claws, as I quickly approached the balcony I let go of the cable to tuck and roll on the balcony, and surprisingly I successfully broke my fall and landed gracefully on the balcony.

I entered the school through the library and as I entered I saw one of the most horrific image in my life, there were dead ponies being hung from the ceiling with their intestines nailed all over the walls, and don't get me started on the smell, I couldn't wait to get this over with. As I snuck around I eventually got to a part of the library that was guarded by raiders, using my left eye I saw two raiders now moving around on this floor and two on the first floor, as I approached one of the raiders I again quickly clumped his mouth shut and shot his head, as I moved the body away another raider walked around the corner, and as she was about to shout I silenced her with a shot to the head, who needs S.A.T.S when you're as good as me. I snuck around a few more rooms and killed more raiders before I reached Chainsaw's room. As I snuck in I creeped up to the bed he was sleepin on, sound asleep unknown to his imminent demise, I shot him in the head making a big splash of blood paint the windows red, I walked up to the corpse to cut his head off and bring it back to Ponyville, but when all of a sudden a burning chain whipped out at me, luckily I managed to dodge it but I was sure he was just sleeping, I quickly ducked behind a metal desk for cover as the chains continuously not making a dent, I looked at one of doorways and saw an opening, I didn't waste time as I made a break for the door almost getting whipped in the process and as I looked back I saw the area where the chains whipped, there were really deep cuts in the floor, well now I know I shouldn't get hit by them.

"Come out come out wherever you are you cunt!" I heard Chainsaw calling, there's no way in hell would I get that close to him.

I was hiding in another room not too far from Chainsaw's room, well now I know why his name is Chainsaw, his cutie mark was two flaming chain rings in an X, but the question is how do I get close to him. I sat in thought for a moment before a burning chain whipped the metal desk, strangely not making a scratch again, I was trying my hardest to think but the fact that a flaming chain whip is cracking at me made it really hard to think. Then I thought of something.

" Maybe that'll work!" I thought to myself.

" You know what, I'm surprised that you managed to almost kill my entire gang, so for that we're gonna have lots of fun with you." Chainsaw cackled, raiders, I really really hate raiders.

" Well if you wanna do that then you've gotta use both chains!" I taunted, and with that he cracked both of his chains at me at the same time, well it's all or nothing, as both chains came down at me I used my claws to grab them, and as I it didn't shatter my claws it proved my theory correct about how he can't do much damage to anything made of metal.

" Hey, let go of my chains you cunt!" the raider leader demanded but I didn't let go of them, this guy really loved using that word, it would sometimes seem that all raiders do, but back to the point, I had his chains in my grasp so he wasn't gonna do anything, or so I thought, Chainsaw is much stronger than he looks as he was throwing me around as I was still holding on, the chains were pulling my hoof really hard making it feel as if it was tearing off, I thought I was done for when all of a sudden Raven came bursting through a window with dramatic flare and flew straight at Chainsaw, she was trying to claw at his eyes but was stopped every time as Chainsaw kept his forehooves up blocking his face, I saw an opening and took it as I shot Chainsaw in the neck with my 9mm pistol, thanks to Raven's distraction I was able to get a clear shot, but as I walk up to Chainsaw's still dying body I pulled out an old rusty hunting knife as I inserted it deep into his throat and started to move the knife around his neck as Chainsaw was trying to scream his mouth just kept spurting blood and leaked through his wide opened neck, as I finally reached the neck bones I was pulling and pulling the knife through the bones until I heard a popping noise indicating that I had finally cut through, I finally finished my handy work and was about to leave as a flaming mist flew straight at me from Chainsaw's body, I was freaked out at first due to my recent experience with fire but as I looked up my pipbuck started to beep, I looked down at my device to see a new item in the status menu that said "Abilities" , as I switched over to that menu the first ability I saw was my own and the name scared me half to death "Demonic eye" it read, why the hell is it called the demonic eye!? But then I looked at my next ability and it read "Hell Claws" oh for the love of Celestia why can't I get an ability that doesn't have to do with hell!?

I walk back to the library sulking from the apparent names my abilities had, as I made it to the exit of the library I heard crying from the first floor, as I looked over the railings from the second floor I saw two ponies in a cage as well as three others in another cage, I didn't hesitate to jump over the railings and land on the first floor.

" Please don't kill us!" a brown earth pony with a frazzled tan colored mane pleaded.

" Don't worry I'm just gonna open these cages." I assured them.

" There's no way we'd let you!" I heard a raider cackling from behind me. I turned around to see two raiders wielding tire irons as I mentally facehoofed, well I can't go back in time now. As the raiders charged at me I was trying to figure out how to use the hell claw ability, I pointed my right clawed hoof at the raiders as I closed my eyes and imagined something on fire since that's how I imagined hell to be like, I opened my eyes to see my claws light on fire, and then my claws shot out of my now metal covered hoof while attached to chains, so I got this ability after I killed Chainsaw so I must've gained my own version of his ability, as the raiders attempted to dodge my attack one of them was too slow as the claw impaled his head as the other raider stared in shock, I retracted all of my claws except the one impaled into the raider as I swung him up, down and around until his head was ripped off of his body along with his spine and strangely enough I was liking it, as I pulled the raiders head off of my claw and new chains the other raider tried to run off, but I didn't give her a chance as I shot a hell claw straight for her heart, as I yet again retracted my claw I ripped her heart out of her body in the process. After I got my claw cleaned off I walked over to the cages again.

" Well I'm gonna let you guys out now." I assured them, they didn't seem convinced as I picked the locks with my claws. " Well you're all from Ponyville right?" I asked but the ponies simply nodding. " Well I'm going back there so I'd love some company." I added, the ponies all looked at each other and simply nodded.

" We'll follow you back, if what you say is true." one of the ponies asked, they were all way too dirty to identify their coat color except the brown stallion.

" WHAT IN THE NAME OF CELESTIA IS THAT!?" one of the ponies shouted pointing up, I looked up to see Raven flying down to me and perched on my rump, what am I to you, an object to perch on?

" This is my, uh, pet and her name is Raven." I assured them, Raven didn't seem very happy about it, but went with it anyway.

About 50 minutes of walking later we were still about an hour and 10 minutes away from Ponyville and luckily nothing has attacked us.

* Meanwhile inside a bathhouse in Ponyville*

" Oh mane, Deadshot is missing out on this!" a familiar white unicorn with a blue and light blue mane and tail shouted as she looked over to a pearl white pegasus with a pink and light pink mane and tail who covers herself up by using one forehoof to cover her chest and another covering her nethers. " You don't have to do that you know." the unicorn said to the pegasus.

" Well I'm not as nice looking as you or Deadshot." the pegasus replied.

" Oh relax Moonstone you're among mares now." the unicorn responded.

" Easy for you to say Razor Edge." Moonstone whispered.

* Meanwhile in the stallions room*

A familiar Dark blue grey pegasus was sitting in a large pool of hot water.

" Ah, this is the life." the pegasus mused.

" You can say that again." a familiar electric blue unicorn with a blue and light yellow mane and tail.

" ARF!!" barked a dog.

" What the-!!" the pegasus jumped. " what's a dog doing here!?" the pegasus asked.

" She's just so lonely so I couldn't possibly leave her in my room at the inn." the unicorn answered.

" Wait, don't I know you from somewhere?" the pegasus asked, but he quickly remembers where he's seen this unicorn stallion. " wait you're um, Spectre right?" the pegasus added.

" Why yes I am, what about you?" Spectre asked in a calm tone.

" Well my name is Astral Bolt, but you can just call me Astral." Astral answered with flare.

* Back to Deadshot about an hour later*

" *Huff* Finally we're *Huff* here." a brown stallion huffed.

" Well you guys can relax, I've still got work to finish." I said as I was walking to the market area. As I was walking I noticed that everypony was looking at me weird, was it the armor?

" Deadshot?" a cloudy blue pegasus called. " Is that really you?" he added.

" Well of course it's me Swift Nimbus, who else would I be if not me?" I replied.

" Wha-what happened to your eye?" Swift Nimbus asked, Oh no, this is not happening.

" NO!!" I shouted. " Don't look at me!" I added, this is bad, I was so used to not having my eye covered that I forgot what my eye looked like as I tried to cover my face with my left hoof, but to make matters worse my hell claws activated as five flaming claws started scratching up the ground.

" Deadshot please look at me, Ah need you to calm down." Swift Nimbus asked calmly, but I couldn't calm down even if I wanted to, but as I saw a filly looking at me with a smile my panicking slowly started to dwindle as I remembered the filly, it's the same filly I rescued on the train. As my fear faded, I calmed myself to give a speech, even though I was feeling like I wanted to panic again.

" Listen up ponies of Ponyville!" I shouted, all of the ponies focused on me even more now, " The leader of the Blood Jackal raiders is now dead, I killed him so that you ponies will no longer live in fear of him." I announced as just about everypony started to cheer, I like this better than the stares I got earlier.

" Can I see the proof?" Swift Nimbus requested, I nodded as I pulled out a bag and opened the bag for him to see the head of Chainsaw. " Well Ah'll be, it really is him, well a reward was put on his head, by tomorrow morning you'll have your reward, congratulations Deadshot you're an official bounty hunter now." Swift Nimbus acknowledged, wow a bounty hunter huh? That wasn't my intention, but I guess I'll be a bounty hunter that goes after the bad guys then.

" SWIFT NIMBUS LOOKOUT!!!" a white coated unicorn mare shouted as she jumped on me.

" What are you doing Razor Edge?!" Swift Nimbus demanded.

" What do you mean what am I doing?!" Razor Edge replied. " I'm about to kill a raider!" she added, my eyes widened in horror as my sister brought her sword down on me as everything went black.
