The Return of Midnight Sparkle

   Chapter: 1

      The return of Midnight.

The air was warm and it was a bright sunny day out. Sunset was just finishing her breakfast as she got up from the table then looked at her new wife Twilight Sparkle. It had been eight months of pure bliss with this woman. Twilight had married Sunset almost eight months ago.To Sunset as she stood in front of the kitchen sink thinking to herself.

“Life really has been good to me for the past year now I married the woman of my dreams eight months ago. I feel….complete.”

Twilight and Sunset had been in a very good mood the whole morning. And to Twilight she thought that nothing could change that as she started to get up from the Kitchen table walking over to Sunset and placed her dish’s into the sink. She embraced her wife from around the waist and hugged her deeply this was the woman she had married and had fallen in love with. Little did she know what was about to happen in the city of Canterlot. Sunset had the day off from work and had suggested that they take a walk in the city to window shop and perhaps, to buy some items for their new home. As the two of them started to walk out of their home Sunset turned to her wife and said.

“Twilight do you know truly how much I love you?" Asked Sunset as she took hold of her wife pulling her into a passionate embrace to kiss her passionately on the lips.

“Yes, but; why don’t you tell me again while we take our little walk.” Said Twilight with a squeal of excitement in her voice as she accepted the kiss and the embrace from her wife as she closed the door to their home.

Twilight fully accepted the kiss and embraced her new wife Sunset with a passion that was only matched by her beating heart. To her nothing in the world mattered other than this kiss and embrace she was now getting from her beautiful wife. When the Friendship games ended almost six years ago she had felt like no one cared about her. Now six years latter she, knew that at least one very beautiful woman cared about her, and she wasn’t about to let this moment of pure blissful passion slip through her fingers. As the kiss and embrace ended Sunset said to her wife.

“I hope we can see the others today, I think Applejack; was suppose to stop by today with some of her apple pie and fritters.” Sunset said as she ended the kiss and laid a gentle hand onto the face of her wife Twilight Sparkle.

“MMM; apple pie and fritters….yum...I can’t wait to actually be able to get those into the oven when we get back.” Twilight said as she laid her hand on Sunsets embracing her hand warmly.

Twilight and Sunset started to walk down the street hand in hand stopping by each window they came too to look inside the various shops. Seeing very little of actual interest in one of the many windows they had stopped in front of. Twilight and Sunset continued to walk down the streets of Canterlot City. All the while Twilight thought of the apple fritters and pie that she was about to taste when they got back home from there little outing that day.

“I can’t wait to taste Applejack’s new recipe for those apple fritters and the homemade apple pie. I am so sharing them with Sunset when we get back home.”

“Hey Twilight come take a look at this outfit in this window.” Sunset said when she noticed a blue dress in a clothing shop window.

“Huh? What outfit?” Asked Twilight as she walked up to the window and pered inside of it.

Twilight and Sunset were looking at a simple blue dress in a clothing shop that Sunset had stopped in front of. The dress was made of royal blue satin and had green pearls on it from the shoulders to the stomach area of the cloth. around the waist was raped a black leather belt and hanging over the shoulder of the dress was a green purse. When Twilight saw this she burst out laughing then turned to her wife still laughing.

“I totally can see you wearing that, oh would you look so cute in it.”

“Twilight you can not be serious I mean this thing has to coast at least what six maybe eight hundred dollars. I mean there is no way we….” That was as far as she got when Twilight cut her off.

Twilight had pulled Sunset in for yet another very passionate kiss. And although Sunset was a bit surprised by this she didn’t struggle with her wife and fully accepted the kiss with one of her own in return.

“You feel better now honey?” Asked Twilight as she ended the kiss and laid her head against Sunsets shoulders.

“Yes now let's continue our walk and window shopping so that we can get home and see if Applejack has stopped by with those fritters and pie.”

“OK...mmmm I can’t wait to taste those apple fritters and pie Sunset. I know that because Applejack made them. then they are made with love and not from a box like most stuff around this city is.” Replied Twilight stilling thinking about how good it was going to feel to share the pie and fritters with her wife.

Twilight loved Applejack’s apple fritters and homemade apple pie. What she loved more than that was being able to share the experience with her wife Sunset Shimmer. The two of them started walking again down the streets of Canterlot City hand in hand again after leaving the window of the clothing shop. Stopping only when they both heard a noise coming from Sunsets purse. It was a soft vibrating, beeping noise. As it played out Sunset pursed her lips together and halfheartedly scowled at the annoying sound. Sunset dug her phone out of her purse looking at the screen Sunset saw that it was Rainbow Dash who was calling her. Sighing to herself Sunset said in a rather irritated tone.

“It’s Rainbow, I know it’s been six months since we have seen her let alone talked to her, but doesn’t she get the message we don’t want to talk to her.”

Rainbow had once lived with both Sunset and Twilight when her plans to be the most awesome athlete fell short. However due to her not going to bed at a reasonable time and always being cranky in the mornings with either Sunset or twilight which had caused more than one fight with the rainbow haired girl. This attitude of Rainbow’s had put a real strain on their friendship with her. In one last final attempt to make peace with the rainbow haired girl Sunset had offered to help her buy her own home. This Rainbow didn’t take well at all. Sunset could clearly recall the anger in Rainbows voice that day.

“I DON’T NEED YOU TO BUY ME A HOME. I HAVE ONE HERE WITH THE TWO OF YOU!” Sunset recalled Rainbow yelling at her.

“I can still hear her yelling at Twilight over that damn milk incident and what I yelled back that day” Sunset thought to herself while she stared at her phone.

Rainbow had been shouting at Sunset as Twilight was walking into their home and came right into  another argument that Rainbow was having with her. It was the look of utter shock and disgust that Twilight gave to Sunset who at the time being was Twilight's lover and not wife that sealed the deal for Sunset to kick Rainbow out. Rainbow had gone too far that day. When she had turned and yelled at Twilight for something so trivial as left out milk.This too Sunset could recall clearly and what she had yelled at to Rainbow. Which finally drove the Rainbow haired girl from there home and out of their lives almost eight months ago.

“I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU OF ALL THE EGGHEADS IN THE WORLD WOULD LEAVE A WHOLE CARTON OF MILK OUT TO ROT!” Rainbow had yelled at Twilight while she stood there pointing to a carton of new milk sitting on the kitchen table.

“HEY! NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE CALLS MY GIRLFRIEND A ‘EGGHEAD’. YOU EITHER APOLOGIZE NOW! OR YOU GET THE HELL OUT OUR HOUSE!” Sunset had yelled at Rainbow as she tried to keep from losing her temper any further something that she failed completely at.

Sunset also recalled yelling at Rainbow in words of pure anger.

“WE ARE TIRED OF YOUR SHIT RAINBOW! YOU COME HOME AT ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT AND MAKE SO MUCH NOISE THAT NEITHER I OR TWILIGHT CAN GET ANY SLEEP. YOU EITHER GET A JOB WITH NORMAL SLEEPING HOURS OR…..MOVE OUT!”

Sunset recalled the look of anger in Rainbows eyes as she had shouted at her.

“I DON’T NEED THIS SHIT FROM EITHER YOU OR THAT WHORE YOU CALL A GIRLFRIEND. KNOW WHAT TO TELL HELL WITH YOU BOTH!” Rainbow had screamed back in anger to Sunset.

As Sunset recalled her last few words spoken to Rainbow in pure anger just before Rainbow was last seen running from the house in tears. But it was the look that Twilight gave to Sunset after hearing what Rainbow just yelled that finally sealed it for Rainbow. And completely ended her right to live in that house. Sunset had looked over at Twilight and saw a look on her girlfriends face that she would pray not to see again. It was a look of total and complete disgust and anger with Rainbow at being called a ‘whore’. Although both Sunset and Twilight cared deeply for her this was simply something that neither could let slide. It was time for Rainbow to go and not ever come back. Sunset recalled every word that was spoken to Rainbow when she yelled at her to move out.

“GET YOUR ASS PACKED AND OUT OF OUR HOME! YOU ARE NO LONGER WELCOME HERE! NOT AFTER CALLING MY GIRLFRIEND A ‘WHORE NOW GET OUT!” Sunset had screamed at her friend who she recalled looked hurt by this.

“F...F..FINE! TO FUCKING HELL WITH YOU BOTH, I HOPE YOU BOTH ROT IN HELL!” Rainbow had yelled her last insult as she slammed the door closed and ran from the house.

“AND DON’T YOU COME BACK HERE EVER!” Sunset recalled yelling after her as she took a hold of Twilight in her arms that day.

Rainbow did however come back, but; only to get her stuff and after that she was not seen again by either Sunset or Twilight. As Sunset recalled Rainbow shacked up with Applejack shortly thereafter although Sunset couldn’t be sure about this. Not sure if she should answer the phone or not she looked at her Wife who replied with.

“Let it go to voicemail dear if it is indeed Rainbow then just let it go to voicemail.” Twilight said softly to Sunset.

Sunset didn’t really want to argue with her wife and slid the power lock key on the phone to ‘on’ then put the phone back into her purse effectively letting it go to voicemail. As she reached over to embrace Twilight for another passionate Kiss the phone chimed out.

“You have one unheard message from phone number. 458-548-4854 how do you wish to proceed with this voice mail?”

Before Sunset could stop her Twilight took her phone out of her purse and pressed the delete button in the hopes that it wouldn’t cause a fight her wife Sunset Shimmer. Neither of them wanted to talk to Rainbow and it had been almost six long hard months of Sunset and Twilight working on their relationship together. That caused Twilight to not want to have anything to do with the rainbow haired girl. After Rainbow left how she did Twilight and Sunset worked very hard on their own relationship to make sure nothing like would happen to either of them.  It had been eight months since the two of them gotten married and six years since the ending of the Friendship games.Twilight was desperately in love with her wife Sunset shimmer. As the two of them walked down the streets of Canter Lot they heard someone call out to them from behind them.

“Hey! You two give me all your money and your jewelry NOW!.” The voice said.

Hearing a loud clicking noise coming from directly behind them.Twilight turned in time to see a man standing behind her pointing a gun at her and her wife. She jerked hard on Sunsets arm to get her to stop walking. Sunset had not paid any attention to the voice coming from behind her and didn’t hear the gun being cocked. Sunset stopped and turned to see what it was that had caused her wife to react in such a violent way. Seeing that a man was carrying a gun and pointing it at the two of them Sunset scowled at him. Noticing the look on Sunsets face the man sneered at her saying while pointing the gun at her.

“Don’t try it, Missy I have no problem killing you. All I want is your money and your jewelry. So hand them them over and no one gets hurt.” The man said with a dark tone to his voice.

Twilight was fully complying with this order while Sunset just sat there as this man walked over to Twilight to grab her money and jewelry. Seeing that Sunset was not complying with his orders the man glared at her once again pointing the gun at her.

“I am not about to give you my money or my jewelry mister so why don’t you just leave us be?” Sunset said bitterly to him.

The man just sneered at this comment as he raised the gun to chest level with Sunset. Sunset showed no fear whatsoever seeing that the gun in this man's hands was now level with her chest.

The man said very grimly to her while still pointing the gun at Sunsets chest.

“You can either give me what I want girly or you can die where you stand and I can take what I want from you when you're dead.” The man said bitterly to Sunset.

Hearing the intention was clear in this man’s voice Sunset screamed out as she lunged at her attacker.

“Take this you creep!” Sunset lunged at her attacker only to be stopped in her tracks as the gun went off seven times.

A look of panic strewn itself across the face of Twilight who raced forwards catching Sunset in her arms as she fell backwards on to the ground. The man had just shot her wife and all Twilight could do was hold her in her arms.

“Give me your money or will suffer the same thing girl.” The man said as he bent over scooping up Sunsets purse in his hands.

“Please just take it and go….please I beg you let us go….I will give you what you want….just let us go.” Pleaded Twilight as she cradled her wife in her arms.

“Maybe I will let you go or maybe I will kill both of you right now. Would you like that girly? For me to shoot you dead right here and right now?”

Before the assailant could get a reply from Twilight he heard an approaching siren. Getting worried and not wanting to go to jail for this. He turned still holding Sunsets purse in his hands. Ran down an empty alleyway and disappeared from site. Leaving Twilight to call the police on her phone while Sunset lay dying in her lap. Twilight immediately dug into her coat pocket and pulled out her phone pressing the buttons she dialed the authorities.

“9-1-1. What is your emergency?” The operator stated calmly

  “Please help! My wife and I have just been mugged and the person shot my wife! Please I need help right now!” Twilight said frantic that she was about to lose her wife from this shooting.

Twilight looked down into her wife's eyes that were beginning to glaze over as she cradled Sunset in her arms while talking to the 9-1-1 operator. Thinking to herself.

“I can’t understand this why would this happen to us?”

“Ma’am is your wife breathing on her own?” Twilight heard the operator ask.

Twilight looked down at Sunset and thought she saw Sunset's chest rise and fall as she tried to breath replying into the phone Twilight said.

“Yes I think….I don’t know, just send some one please just send somebody.” She said frantically

“Ma’am I need you to look around and see if you can tell me where you are located so that we can send the ambulance to your location.”

Twilight looked around as she was told and saw a couple of street signs indicating her location. She read each name on the sign into the sign names to operator out loud over the phone.

“Fifth Avenue and Hay bail street. Twilight said into the phone.

“OK Ma’am an ambulance is en route to your location.” The operator replied.

Sunset slowly reached up and placed her blood soaked hand onto Twilight's face trying to talk to her wife. This action caused Twilight to drop her phone as she heard Sunset cough out her words to her.

Sunset said while coughing up blood from being shot seven times. “Tw….twi..light I...L...love...y...you.” As sunset said this her hand fell back to the ground and her eyes rolled back into her skull. Her blood stained Twilight's face as she cried while still cradling her wife in her arms.

Ten minutes later an ambulance wailed down the streets of Canter Lot city as its occupants rod inside of the back of it. Twilight could only look in horror as she saw the sight before her. Sunset lay on a bed covered in blood, her blood. The paramedic’s worked feverishly to stabilize her condition. Sunset had been shot six times at close range in the chest and once in the stomach. A man that neither Sunset Shimmer or Twilight Sparkle had recognized had demanded money and jewelry from both of them earlier that day at gunpoint. When Sunset had responded to this threat by trying to fight back their muggers reply was to turn the gun on her and shoot her. The blank, shock; look that covered Sunsets face as she had fallen backwards into the arms of Twilight after the gun had gone off. Was enough to cause Twilight run up behind Sunset and catch her falling to the ground with Sunset in her arms. She looked up into the man's eyes with utter fear as he turned the gun to her next. All she could remember was saying to him.

“Please I beg you let us go I will give you what you want...just let us...go.”

The man had said he would kill her and then take what he wanted as grabbed Sunsets purse. Then smiled at Twilight and ran off into the shadows of a nearby alleyway leaving the two of them there. The paramedic’s voice came in loud and clear, it slowly brought Twilight back to her senses as she sat there hoping, praying that her wife Sunset would be alright.

“We’re losing her! Get the defibrillator Stat!” He shouted to the other paramedic as he tore Sunsets shirt off and prepped her for the device to be used on her body.

Without a word the other paramedic did as he was told and got the device ready for use. He set it to two hundred over three hundred and forty. Then handed the paddles to the paramedic that called out for the machine to be used. As the machine came into view Twilight jumped off the bench she was sitting on and took a spot near the doors to give the two medics more room work with. One of the medics seemed to take notice of this but said nothing as he lowered the machine to Sunsets chest pressing it against her body he shouted out in a clear tone.

“CLEAR!”

BAM!

The machine sounded as Sunset’s body jumped off the bed then landed again. The medic looked at the monitor of the machine only to see that Sunset had completely flat lined.

“Again”

Shouted the other as he poured some sort of clear liquid onto her chest then onto the paddles of the defibrillator. Once again the machine made a loud baming noise. Once again Sunset’s lifeless body had jumped again, and again she fell back into the bed. Again the monitor showed that her heart had stopped and again the medic yelled.

“Again”

“CLEAR!” The other medic shouted as he placed the paddles against Sunsets chest and the machine once again made its loud noise.

This time as the paddles came into contact with Sunsets chest and the bam of the paddles connecting with her chest was heard inside the ambulance. The monitor indicated that there was now a small heart beat. Faint though it was it was indeed there. The medics wasted no time in checking for a pulse and found that she had one even though it was very faint. Twilight couldn’t ignore her instincts any longer fishing through her purse she found her cell phone. Flipping it open she dialed the only number she had in her cell phone next to her parents number. She called Applejack's phone praying that her friend was home and that she would answer she very nervously waited for Applejack to answer the phone. Twilight had placed the phone onto speaker so that she wouldn’t have to hold it up to ear due to her shaking like leaf in high wind.

“Hello this is…”

That was as far as Applejack got before Twilight cut her off in a tone that clearly showed how scared she was. All she could say was.

“Hospital NOW!” and she dropped her phone when she began to cry.

Applejack hearing her friend sobbing hung up and started to call the rest of their friends. She wasn’t sure what was going on all she knew is that Twilight needed them. All of them and now was not the time to question this. Rainbow Dash was the first one to get the call as she answered she could hear how stressed and very concerned Applejack was in the mere tone of her voice. Applejack had taken Rainbow in after she had been kicked out of Sunsets and Twilight's house almost five months ago when she had found Rainbow living on the street. Rainbow still wasn’t able to actually talk about what had happened to her that caused her wind up on the street. Applejack knew she would have to give the rainbow haired girl time to talk about this. However they had more pressing matters at hand other than what had happened between Rainbow, Twilight and Sunset.

“Hello Applejack how are you doing today?”

She asked as she answered her phone. Applejack's reply was deadpan and very stern.

“Rainbow I need you listen to me very carefully. I need you to swing by and pick up Rarity then pick up Pinkie Pie. I do NOT  want to argue with you about this. Head to the hospital I think something must be very wrong with Twilight! All I got out of her was, ‘hospital now’. You need to do this right now do you fully understand me?”

Rainbow knew better than to argue with her friend when her voice became stern and hostile she replied in as much of a deadpan voice as she could muster herself.

“Yes I fully understand! What about Fluttershy, who is going to pick her up and tell her what is going on?”

“I will; you just get the rest of our friends to the hospital got it?”

“Understood.”

With that Rainbow hung up and started calling the others. Once she was done she looked to the kitchen table that was in Applejack's kitchen and grabbed her keys then ran out the front door. Rarity was the first to be picked up as Rainbow pulled up to her house. She could see only panic on her friends sky blue face. Rarity said nothing as she opened Rainbow’s car passenger door and hopped in. Rainbow then drove off to pick up Pinkie pie from the bakery that she was working at. Pinkie was waiting outside of the bakery that she had been working at for the past six months. It had been six months since Twilight and Sunset shimmer married and it had been almost six years since the Friendship games. Pinkie could remember how excited Twilight was to marry the woman of her deepest dreams. And how very excited she got when Twilight had asked her to bake all the food and the wedding cake. However now was not the time to dwell on memories that served to only make things worse than what they already were. Rainbow was just pulling up to the curb when Pinkie shouted out to her.

“Dashie what is going on? Why is twilight at the hospital? How come this is happening? What are we going to do about this?” she said in almost a non stopping manner trying to get all the words out.

Rainbow looked at her then said very grimly.

“First! Don’t call me ‘Dashie!’ Second I have as little information as you do on this matter! All I know is that Applejack is requesting all of us to go the hospital.There might be something very wrong with either Sunset or Twilight. I say this because we both know that Sunset is almost never without her lover, Pinkie so get in the damn car and let's go” Rainbow said grimly to Pinkie.

Pinkie’s hair which was normally a big mess of pink fuzz Suddenly deflated after she had been so sternly spoken to by her friend Rainbow dash. It was clear from her tone of voice that Rainbow was in no mood to fool around or to have to answer a lot of questions. Pinkie not wanting to fight with one of her best friends did as she was told and got into the car. Rainbow sped off towards the hospital hoping they would be there in time to learn what was going on. Thinking to herself as they drove up the street and turned the corner all while Rainbow gunned the engine and caused the tires to squeal.

“I don’t even know if I should be doing this I mean they didn’t answer my phone call from earlier today so why should I go to the hospital?” Thought Rainbow as she drove down the street with her two companions in the car.

Rainbow didn’t really notice as Rarity screamed when Rainbow had caused the car to squeal around the corner almost causing a spin out.

“DARLING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SLOW DOWN!” Screamed Rarity who all but almost lost her lunch as the car squealed around the corner.

Rainbow looked at her then back to the road saying coldly.

“We have to get the hospital I have to fix things with Sunset and Twilight. I have to show them that I am a good friend and that I fully admit that I was wrong with what I said about Twilight the day I left their house.” Rainbow said coldly while trying to pay attention to her driving.

Rarity not really understanding what was actually going on with Rainbow replied with.

“Wait what? Look darling just because you are upset with what ever happened between the three of you doesn't mean you have to drive a like a crazy person.” Rarity said while trying not to lose her lunch due to Rainbow’s bad driving skills.

Pinkie who was sitting in the back of Rainbow’s car piped up with.

“You know we could just throw you a party I am sure one of my pinkie special friend parties would help you out with whatever it is you're going through.”

Rainbow looked up into the rear view mirror at Pinkie saying to her sternly.

“NO!....no parties this is something that I have to deal with on my own and I will thank you both to drop it!”

Pinkie knew better than to argue with her blue skinned friend. Rainbow could be deadly scary when she got made about something that was bothering her. Even more scary than her ghost stories she would tell at Applejack's farm when they would all gather around her fire pit out back of the farm house.

While all this was happening Applejack was just now pulling up to Fluttershy’s home. As Fluttershy was just locking up her home she heard Applejack call out to her.

“Fluttershy are you ready to go?” Applejack called out as she parked her vehicle waiting for Fluttershy to get in.

As Fluttershy got into the vehicle she asked Applejack.

“Do you know what is going on with Twilight or with Sunset I tried early to call Sunset yet I was not able to get in contact with her. I know she is deeply in love with Twilight but I can’t understand why she wouldn’t return my calls to her.?”

“No! Sugar cube I in tar'nation ain't got one hilly clue as to what is going on. All I know for de’rn sure is that Twilight called me saying only ‘hospital now’ beyond on that sugar cube I ain't a clue one as to what is going on.”  Replied Applejack as she started up the vehicle then proceed to drive to the hospital.

“I see. Is there anything we can do to help either of them I don’t like seeing my friend upset and I want to help whenever I am able to do so.”

Applejack didn’t reply to this as she drove down the street coming to a stop at a red light. Then she turned to face Fluttershy saying softly.

“I think you should be aware that Rainbow might….well….might not be too happy to see Sunset or Twilight sugar cube. I called her first to pick up the others. In tar'nation and hay bales it was too far for me to drive all the way out to the city in order to pick those two up. Then to have to come back to get you sugar cube so I was left with a choice to make. I chose to have Rainbow pick up Rarity and Pinkie Pie rather than waste time trying to get all of use at once.”

“Oh I see and do you think that Rainbow will well behave herself while she is around Sunset and Twilight?” Asked Fluttershy as she played with her hair trying not to look upset that Rainbow was involved in this.

Fluttershy had gotten a call from Sunset the day that Rainbow stormed out of Sunsets and Twilight's house. Sunset had told her everything to say that Fluttershy was a bit shocked by the news of hearing what Rainbow had actually said about Twilight was a understatement. In fact she was downright furious with Rainbow Dash for acting like that. Fluttershy knew that Rainbow could be impulsive at times maybe even a little spontaneous but for her do something like that to Twilight who was at the time having issues with trying to make friends was just unforgivable. Fluttershy recalled everything of that day so very clearly that it was as if she was living in the moment right then and there.

Fluttershy recalled Rainbow coming over to her home crying and she could recall so very clearly what she had said to her that caused Rainbow to wind up on the streets.

“Fluttershy are you home I need to talk to you?” Rainbow said crying as she knocked loudly on Fluttershy’s door.

Fluttershy had just gotten off the phone with Sunset and stormed over to the door to fully tell Rainbow off. She didn’t care if Rainbow was hurting she wanted to make sure that this message sunk in deeply to Rainbow’s head. Grabbing her down handle tightly in her hand she thrust it to the left and pulled the door open seeing Rainbow standing on her front porch crying. Fluttershy yelled out before she actually thought about what she was saying to Rainbow.

“HOW, DARE YOU! YOU DARE CALL YOURSELF A LOYAL FRIEND; WHEN YOU WENT AHEAD AND CALLED ONE OF OUR CLOSEST FRIENDS A ‘WHORE’. YOU GET YOUR ASS OFF MY PORCH NOW AND DON’T COME BACK HERE EVER!”

“I....I...am so sorry Fluttershy I never…” Fluttershy cut her off sharply with.

“LEAVE NOW!”

With that Rainbow had turned to leave hearing the door slam behind her. She would spend the next five months on the streets trying to get by with what little she had in the way of either food or money. It wasn’t until Applejack actually bumped into her at a local supermarket that she had hit rock bottom and began to fully cry out her anger at how her life was and how she ended up on the streets. Applejack had said nothing to Rainbow, she simply hugged her then brought her home. Over the next five months Rainbow worked her butt off to prove that she was ready to change her life around and make amends with Sunset and Twilight for her appalling behavior towards them.

Applejack thinking to herself as she and Fluttershy drove to the hospital in silence.

“I really do hope that Rainbow can keep a civil tongue in her mouth once she sees Twilight and Sunset. She may have changed for me and true she has mad tremendous progress at showing she is indeed a loyal friend.”

Meanwhile as the ambulance pulled up to the double doors of Canter Lot hospital. Two doctors pushed open the doors of the unloading bay leading into the hospital itself. The paramedics opened the doors to the ambulance and Twilight jumped out. Running to the right side of the ambulance she could see the doctors begin to unload Sunset from the interior of the ambulance. As they unloaded her the machine that was attached to her showing her heart beat suddenly sounded a very loud long beeping noise. One of the awaiting doctors yelled as the double doors were flung open.

“She flat lining get her to surgery NOW!”

Another one yelled.

“GET OUT OF THE WAY COMING THROUGH!”

As they ran Sunset down a long hallway to a large set of metal doors that read surgery in bold red letters on the front of them. Other doctors and nurses scrambled to get out of the way as Sunset was pushed past them by the doctors. She was wheeled into surgery and Twilight was about to run after them. When she was suddenly grabbed from behind by one of the paramedics and held in place by his tight grip. Screaming in anger and fear of losing the one she loved most of all in this world. Twilight screamed out.

“LET GO! YOU BASTARD! LET GO! THAT’S MY WIFE IN THERE! LET GO!”

The paramedic that was firmly holding her in place calmly said to her while he held her in place.

“I am sorry miss but, you will only hinder her chances of recovery if you go in there now. I can take you to the waiting room and from there you can wait for news on your wife’s condition.”

He said calmly to her as she still struggled from his tight overpowering grasp. Twilight turned her head so she could look this man in the eyes. She saw that in his face he was sincere about taking her to the waiting room. She very shankly said to him in a voice that spoke of dread and absolute terror.

“A….a..alright..I’LL...go with you”

“Okay come with me I will take you to where you need to go.”

He lead her down the hallway and to the right where there was an enclosed waiting room. Inside the room where chairs each of a different color. There was also a TV although Twilight didn’t want to watch TV at the moment. What she wanted most of all was to be with Sunset. The woman she had married was now fighting for her life and all twilight could do was to sit in this waiting room and simply wait for news on her condition.

Inside the operating room doctors had all gathered around Sunset’s body as they tried to save her life. The machines beeped and bleeped as they worked feverishly to save the young woman's life. Suddenly there came from the heart machine a loud long dull beep indicating that Sunset had flat lined. The doctor looked in horror as he shouted to another Doctor.

“GET THE DEFIBRILLATOR IN HERE NOW SHE IS FLAT LINING!”

“Yes doctor.” Said one of the Doctors inside the operating room.

As the man ran out of the room coming back a few seconds latter with a large defibrillator unit. The doctor grabbed the paddles while another one poured some clear liquid onto them then smeared some onto Sunsets chest. Yelling at everyone the doctor yelled out.

“Clear!”

Each of the other Doctors in the room stepped back and watched as the first doctor placed the paddles down onto Sunset Shimmer's chest. With a loud ‘BAM’ noise coming from the machine her body jumped and came back down onto the operating table. The doctor looked up at the readout of the heart monitor which clearly showed that her heart had stopped. Trying again he pressed the paddles against her body and again her body jumped and again the machine read that her heart had stopped.

“COME ON DAMN-IT!” Screamed the Doctor as he placed the paddles down against Sunset’s chest for a third time.

“Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep”  Was all that was heard coming from machine that read out Sunsets heart beep. Sighing the doctor looked at everyone in the room and made his call.

“Let's call it.” He said calmly yet with a hint of anger in his tone of voice.

“2:45 P.M. Doctor” Said one of the other doctors in the room as he looked at his watch.

“OK. You all go get cleaned up I will inform Ms. Shimmers wife about her wife's passing, move her body to another room so she will be able to say goodbye to her in peace.” The doctor said with a deep sadness in his otherwise calm voice.

“Yes doctor it will be done as you have requested.” Replied one of the other Doctors in the room with him and Sunset.

The Doctors unconnected Sunset from the heart monitor and began to push her bed into the hallway and down into a another room for Twilight to say her goodbyes to. Meanwhile Twilight sat in the waiting room waiting for news on her wife. The minutes seemed to tick by as if time was standing still. Twilight was sitting in one of the many chairs that lined the back of the waiting room her head buried in her hands sobbing. She didn’t notice that one of the doctors had walked into the waiting room wearing a full blue hospital gown that was covered in blood. He had been the one to make that call about Sunsets death and now he had to let her wife know that Sunset had passed away. He walked over to her and laid a gentle hand onto her shoulder saying softly to her.

“Ms. Shimmer can you come with me please?”

Looking up Twilight saw the doctor standing there and asked him.

“Doctor how is she?….How is my wife?”

The doctor said nothing at the moment he looked at her with eyes full of a deep sadness. This was the part of the job he had always hated. The part where having to tell someone that their loved one has passed away always bothered him deeply. No matter how many times he had done it in the past. Now he would have to do this for Twilight and seeing her in her fragile state now. He wasn’t sure if she could handle the news that was about to befall her ears. He stood there for what seemed like hours but, was only a few seconds before he answered her question.

“I am so sorry Ms. Shimmer but, your wife has passed away. We did all that we could to save her. We have moved her to another room so that you can say your goodbyes to her before we process her for the morgue.”

Deciding it was best to simply lead her to where Sunset’s body was he slowly turned and said as he was about to walk out of the room.

“She is this way if you follow me I will show where she is”

Twilight said nothing as she began to follow him down the hallway leading to were Sunset’s body had been placed in a room.  As she followed the Doctor to where Sunsets body was, she began to hear a voice coming from the back of her mind. Or perhaps it was in the hospital itself she was unsure of its location. But the voice was there nonetheless and she heard it hiss to her in a menacing way.

“Your lover….your lover is dead.” The voice hissed wickedly to Twilight who tried not to pay attention to it.

She at first didn’t want to listen to the voice yet Twilight now seeing Sunset’s lifeless body on the hospital bed began to take full notice of it. She walked up to Sunsets body fell to her knees and fully buried her face into her lover's stomach while she sobbed. Again the voice called to her and again she didn’t want to listen all she wanted was for Sunset to be alive and in her arms.

“She is dead” It hissed to her.

Twilight clutched the sheets that covered Sunsets body and shook her head as if to say “no she can’t be dead”. The doctor had left her alone in the room so that she could fully say goodbye to her wife in some measure of peace. As she knelt there fully sobbing again the voice came to her only this time she paid full attention to it and actually started to talk to it. It felt as if the voice or whatever it was, was coming in around her and through her as it spoke to her in a demonic tone.

“I can give you something for what you have gone through.” The voice said as it seemed to be coming in from all around her and through her as well.

“What can you possibly give me that has not already been taken away from me?” Replied Twilight as she sobbed while clutching the sheets that covered Sunsets lifeless body.

“I can give you your heart's desire.” The voice said menacingly.

“You don’t know what I desire, I want sunset. I want her to be with me. To be still alive….not dead.” Still fully sobbing Twilight replied as she knelt there with her face fully embedded into Sunsets stomach crying out in pain and anguish.

“I can give you…….power!” It hissed to her wickedly.

“Power is useless to me!” Twilight replied angrily.

“Then I will give you something else in exchange for power.” The voice sneered at Twilight’s reply.

“What…. would…. that be?” Twilight asked in a shaking voice that trembled on the verge of hate.

“You know what it would be!” The voice became angry and rather demonic.

Feeling a heat rising inside of her; a heat that was long since buried but not forgotten. Twilight began to slowly shake as she clutched the sheets that were covering Sunsets body ever tighter. As each word slipped from her lips. She heard the voice in her head, now all around her, enveloping her and completely surrounding her say to her.

“Come on say it! Say what you want from me and it shall be yours.” Hissed the voice with an ever tinge of demonic power in its tone.

“I want.” Twilight began to break as she felt her words clouded with hate.

“Sorry I can’t hear you!” Commanded the voice now ever more demonically.

Twilight's body slowly began to shake as she began to speak the words that were forming on her lips. She wanted vengeances, yet was afraid to ask this voice she was hearing in her head for it. But she did so anyways the thought of losing Sunset was beginning to drive her mad with hate.

“I…...need” Twilight shook as she felt even more of her hate boiling to the service about to let itself loose upon the world.

Lowering her head and fully embedding her face into the crook of Sunsets stomach as the fire within her began to build up more and more.

“Come on say IT!” The voice commanded in an even more demonic tone.

Twilight slowly raised her head again looking at the pale moon white wall. Her eyes began to smoke and burn with the hate that was in her heart. She began to slowly growl out the words as they came to her. She slowly began to realize that vengeance was all she had left and if she couldn’t be happy then why should this world be allowed to be happy. Life was nothing without Sunset in her arms and she wanted to kill the person responsible for this. Lowering her head back into the crook of Sunsets stomach as she spoke the voice within her head.

“I NEED…” Twilight slowly growled out as she started to shake from the heat and hate that was swelling up inside her.

“YES! That’s it say it and it shall be...yours” The voice coldly commanded as it smirked with wicked laughter.

Shaking even more as she stated each word that was forming on her lips.Twilight could scarcely believe her ears as she heard herself answer this demonic voice within her head.

“I want you.”

“Yes you want me to do what child?” The voice hissed even more evilly at her.

Her head and body began to fully embrace what she was saying at this point. As she shook with anger and lust for what she wanted now most of all. She at first stammered on her words only to fell the last one come out in full fiery passionate hatred. She had lost everything and now she was about to ask for the very power to make this world pay!

“Too...give...me.”

Leaning her head back looking up again at the wall of Sunsets room. Twilight fully Screamed out her last word as the demonic voice within her fully took over her. Shooting her head up and fully allowing the hate now within her soul to consume her she screamed out one single word.

“VENGEANCE!” Twilight screamed.

Twilight could no longer take not having Sunset Shimmer in her arms and being able to simply be with her. So she lost herself to the demon within her. She felt the demon within her head take control of her. She heard the voice laugh as it said to her coldly. While it took over her body and her mind fully.

“My child it shall be done.” The voice laughed wickedly.

A loud booming noise was heard all around her. Her body exploded in purple and blue flames as her back arched upwards and felt as if she was being ripped apart. The pain of this only served to fuel her hate. Her anger towards losing Sunset. She let lose her full emotions before giving herself over to the pain and to this demon voice completely. She fully screamed out in the fullest of hate and pain now fully realizing what was happening to her. The demonic voice within her was that creature she had become during the Friendship games. Twilight found that she absolutely liked how it felt to have that thing take over her again. Screaming out to it her final words before being consumed by it’s demonic power once and for all.

“GIVE ME THE POWER TO KILL THE PERSON THAT DID THIS. GIVE. ME. ABSOLUTE ….VENGEANCE!” Twilight screamed in rage.

With that her body was now completely immersed in full purple and blue flames. As her body went from soft velvet flesh to hard cold metal. She was covered completely from the neck to her toes in full plate mail. Her back had sprouted wings and her head began to sprout a large crystal blue horn. Her eyes fully engulfed in deep crystal blue flames. Where there was once velvet iris’s now only remained crimson red irises of hate. Where there was once a young woman that loved the world and all life within it. Now all that remained was a girl covered in full plate mail and hungry for death. Twilight looked towards the bed that Sunset lay upon. Gently picking up the lifeless body of her wife Sunset Shimmer. Twilight let loose one loud hungry scream of death. This resulted in the room suddenly erupting in purple and blue flames the shock of which caused the door to fly off its hinges and crash into the hallway wall. Laughing as she fully emerged from the room which now lay in absolute ruins she looked at the stunned hospital clerks saying coldly to them.

“You shall be my first victims to fall at my hands.”

She then draped Sunset over her right shoulder and flexed outwards her left arm palm facing the hospital staff. As a beam of white hot purple energy shot forth erupting on a desk in front of her. The doctors stood there in stunned silence as they watched in horror at the energy beam shooting forth exploding all around them. It was enough to cause many of them to run away as if they were rats on sinking ship. At the sight of this terror Twilight laughed and again caused another bolt of energy to shoot forth and once again it hit and exploded. She heard the voice again this time directing her to hold her hand up and call forth the full extent of her power.

“Call it child! Call the full extent of your power Twilight!” The demonic voice now fully ensuing her every thought as it laughed coldly within her mind.

“COME TO ME POWER OF TARTARUS! COME TO ME AND GRANT ME VENGEANCE UPON THIS WORLD! Twilight screamed in demonic rage.

Twilight's body glowed with demonic energy as she called out the last of her words. Looking over she shoulder she could see several security guards rushing towards her all with their guns drawn. Smiling wickedly she turned to face them as her body emanated with demonic power.

“Hold it right there!” Screamed one of the guards as he pointed his gun at her.

Seeing the gun pointed at her Twilight flashed a toothy grin as her eyes glowed bright red. Raising her hands up as if to say ‘I give up’ palms facing outwards she let loose another bright fireball of energy. Fully surrounding and encompassing the guards. As the fireball encased their bodies they each screamed out as their bodies were reduced to ash.

"That's it child kill them, kill them all."

Twilight did as she was instructed to do as each of the guards burned to ash before her very eyes.

"Now hold out her hand and your weapon shall appear before you.” The voice in her head told her wickedly.

Twilight did as she was asked by this voice that had already given her power and her armor. Now this voice wanted to give her a weapon. She thought to herself still holding onto Sunsets lifeless body as she raised up her empty hand palm facing up.

“I wonder what…”

Before she could complete her thought a long orange, red and pink and purple blade suddenly appeared out of mid air in Twilight's hand. It was as light as a feather and as sharp as the sharpest steel swords from medieval times. It had both her cutie mark and Sunsets at the helt of the sword. The grip was made out of silver and the pommel had a sun and star jutting out of the bottom of it. The sword was double bladed meaning it was sharp on both sides of the blade. The fuller was the same color of Twilight and Sunsets skin while the rest of the blade was a dark blue. The hilt was that of a rapier and long sword combined into one single piece. The handle was made for use with either one hand or two hands depending on how Twilight held it in her hands. Twilight smiled wickedly as the voice said to her in its demonic tone.

“This is your weapon treat it with care. Now look down at your side.”

Twilight looked down to her side and found a sheath sitting on her left side. It was black as night and had a same combined cutie mark as the sword in her hand did. Hearing the voice in her head and all around her once again it spoke to her.

“Now child hold the sword up above your head and unleash your full.......POWER!

The last word seemed to echo in and around her as she did as she was requested. Holding the blade in one hand while still holding to Sunset’s lifeless body on her shoulder with the other hand. She let loose one finally feral war cry and let the power fully come out. Those that were still in the hallway or in the hospital from her first initial attacks were completely blown away to dust. As the hospital suddenly erupted into one big fireball of purple and blue flames.

BOOM

A mighty purple and blue fire ball flew through the hospital ripping and tearing apart the walls and doors. As the hospital erupted in purple and blue flames. While Twilight just laughed wickedly.

As Applejack and Rainbow Dash both pulled into the parking lot of the parking area located across the street from the hospital that they were about to head to. Suddenly to their horror the building blew up in a massive ball of purple and blue fire. The explosion shook the buildings that surrounded the hospital for a four block radius. Causing Applejack and Rainbow to both slam on their breaks and almost crash into a each other. Applejack was the first one out of her car to her horror she saw the hospital was now completely gone. Falling to her knees thinking that her two best friends were dead from the explosion she began to sob. screaming out in anger at what she had just seen.

“TWILIGHT!” screamed Applejack.

Pinkie was the next one out of the car followed by Rarity. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy where just getting out of each of the cars too. All of whom were scared that they had just two of there dearest friends. Pinkie looked up and pointed. Shouting in both excitement and terror at the creature that she could see flying over what was left of the hospital.

“LOOK!"

Pinkie shouted as she pointed up in the air and towards the wreckage of the hospital.

What...is that creature up there flying above the hospital?” Pinkie exclaimed in fear and excitement.

Applejack looked up and replied with.

“I..have no tar'nation of a clue what that thing is up there Pinkie.”

Rarity looked up and said.

“Darling I think we might be in trouble.”

“LET'S KICK ITS ASS!” Rainbow yelled as she tried to bolt forwards only to be stopped by Fluttershy who stepped in her path.

she was angry with what just happened and rightly so. Stopping just short of running Fluttershy over Rainbow looked at her then back up at the creature flying above the wreckage of the hospital. She heard Fluttershy speak to her.

“NO!" Shouted Fluttershy.

Rainbow Dash looked at her in shock hearing her friend yell at her was not something accustomed too.

"Rainbow dash we don’t know what that is up there if you go messing with it you could get us all killed. Now calm down so we can figure out what is going on. Fluttershy said as she held fast in her position to Rainbow Dash.

The ensuing explosion had sent bits and pieces of debris flying in all directions. Broken boards, smashed and broken glass, mattresses and bodies, twisted pieces of metal all of it came crashing down near them. As they stood there staring up at the creature that was flying above the hospital. Applejack looked over at Rainbow and decided she too needed to help Fluttershy keep Rainbow from doing something rather rash. Saying to her friend as she ran over to help Fluttershy.

“Yeah Rainbow y’all need to simmer down.” Applejack said as she too stepped in front of Rainbow in an effort to keep her friend from doing something stupid.

The creature must have somehow sensed that they were there in the parking lot across the street from the hospital. Because it flew down towards them. When the creature landed on the ground it began to walk towards them. Holding in it’s arms now fully cradling the lifeless body Sunset Shimmer. The creature knelt before her five shocked friends as it very gently laid Sunset Shimmer's body down before them. Not raising her head up to meet there shocked eyes it said growling at them as it spoke in a demonic tone of voice.

"This world took her from me!" Her growling deepened with each word that came from her lips

The five friends just stood there watching this befall their shocked eyes as the creature spoke again.

"I loved HER! It snarled before finally screaming out in pain and hatred.

"I WILL HAVE MY"......... "VENGEANCE” Screamed the creature as it stared at the five friends standing there with their eyes wide and mouths slowly beginning to gape open.

It was Rarity that recognized the creature as being Twilight. As the creature knelt before them while holding onto Sunsets body. All Rarity could do was gasp out and stammer on her words as she laid a hand over her mouth in utter shock at the sight before her very eyes.

“NO! It…....C.....c..can’t...be!” Rarity stammered in utter shock.

The others said nothing as, Applejack slowly walked over to the kneeling creature and knelt down before it. Slowly reaching out very gently to pick up Sunsets body. Before jumping back in fright as the creature slowly raised it’s head fully showing the hate in it’s blue and purple eyes. That is when Applejack realized the creature was none other than Twilight and she let out a gasp at the thought of this saying to the creature.

“Twilight is it really you? Are you really in there sugar cube?” Applejack said in fright of what she saw before here.

The creature didn’t reply to Applejack's question it just growled at her with a menacing demonic tone.

“Twilight if it is you darling, please answer Applejack, please tell us darling is it really you in there?” Rarity finally magended to say.

After getting over the initial shock as to what she had just seen with her own two eyes. Rarity walked over to her friend Applejack who was staring to cry at the sight of this. Pulling her into a tight embrace then looked at the creature before her who was still kneeling down. Before saying to it sternly.

“If you are Twilight or some resemblance thereof please be a dear and leave before you upset us all you….monster!”

Again the creature didn’t reply again it only growled at them.

“Please sugar cube for the love of all that is good tell us is it you!” Cried Applejack who was still being fully embraced by Rarity.

“If you are really in there Twilight answer us!” Screamed Rainbow dash as she stood posed to charge the creature.

The creature looked down then slowly raised its head again smiling evilly at her once five friends before growling out.

“Yes it is me.”

Twilight saw the look of fear in her friend's eyes as she had answered their question at last. However; she didn’t care how afraid they were, for this world had taken everything from her and now she was on the warpath. She wanted nothing more than sweet revenge against all those that had wronged her and Sunset in the past. Sunset had meant the very world to Twilight.

Looking at Rarity as she spoke to her in a wicked tone of voice.

“You called me a monster! Believe me a monster is what I am. But, I will show you a truer monster than the one standing before you.” Twilight said growling as she slowly began to laugh coldly.

In the years leading up to their happy marriage Sunset was able to fully keep the monster that Twilight had become at the Friendship games from reemerging. Due to this Twilight had fallen completely in love with Sunset. Sunset had been the only one to keep the monster Twilight was now fully turned into from coming back out of her. Sunset had kept that very same monster Twilight became during the Friendship games from destroying the world in a quest for knowledge and power. Now all that was gone and the monster had been fully let loose upon the world in all it’s glory. Fully growling at all of her former friends Twilight screamed to them.

"THIS WORLD SHALL.........BURN!!"

Twilight's demonic voice was so evil in it’s intent that it actually caused Fluttershy to jump behind Rainbow dash. She stood behind her friend shaking while she asked her former friend standing before her and her friends.

“Twilight! How can you let yourself become this horrible creature?”

Asked Fluttershy as she was now hiding from the monster before her behind the ever so brave Rainbow Dash. Who just stared in shock at what she saw before her Rainbow couldn't believe what her ears just heard. Twilight smiled wickedly as she took a step towards Fluttershy. Rainbow was about to step in when she was grabbed by Rarity who simply shook her head causing Rainbow to remain where she was. Pinkie stepped up and moved to pick up sunset’s body. Before she could however Applejack was able to get to her first and scooped Sunsets body up in her arms. Looking at Twilight walking towards them still smiling wickedly at them. Flames started to erupt from Twilight's body melting the ground around her as she walked towards her friends. Then Twilight said ever more growling at them.

“NO! Not Twilight !, not any more, never again will...we…. I be called Twilight. This world took everything from me. This world took everything that I LOVED. Never again shall I be called that name. Never again shall I love again.”

Twilight said as she walked up to the five standing there. Looking down at Sunsets lifeless body being held in Applejack's arms. She reached out laying a hand over Sunsets heart. Just as Applejack was about to pull way to keep Twilight from touching the body of her fallen friend. A glare from Twilight stopped Applejack in her tracks as Twilight bent over kissing Sunset on the forehead. Then staring at each of her former friends before saying to them all so very coldly that ice itself would have a fair chance in hell.

“I am Midnight Sparkle now. I vow to you all this day that I will kill all those that get in my way...... or that have caused this. You five may yet live, if you leave now and do not try to stand in my way of vengeance! For vengeance! is what I will have..... even..... if it means I have to kill..... each of..... you to get it!"

Applejack stepped back still holding tightly to Sunsets body. She wasn’t sure if Twilight or whatever it was she was calling her demon self was serious or not. Yet she didn’t really have the strength to find out. Sunset had meant a lot to each of them even more so to Twilight. Now that she was dead there was nothing stopping the monster that she had become from seeking out her plans for revenge against whoever did this.

“I will you leave you now to make ready my plans of war against this world."

looking back as she began to unfurled her wings and letting them stretch to their fullest she said wickedly to each of her friends

"Remember if you get in my way, you all shall burn in Tartarus fire along with the rest of the cold dead world.”

Twilight took one last look at each of her friends standing there who were still not sure what to make of this. Twilight also took one last long look at Sunset before she spun around on her heels flung her wings out in full spread. She cried out like a hawk screeching after its prey. Flapping her wings hard she lifted up into the air and took off with a speed that was almost as fast as a bullet. Laughing as she flew away. The darkness in her heart had completely consumed her now. All she could think of was finding the man that caused all of this to happen and killing him. Rainbow Dash walked up to Applejack and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. As she and the rest of her friends let out there tears of sadness for all that had happened that day. She said to Applejack still holding Sunset Shimmer tightly in her arms.

“We need to call for help, we need to find some way to fix this. We can’t face this darkness….alone.” Rainbow Dash said as she wiped some tears from her eyes.

"I know what needs to be done." Applejack said calmly.

Applejack set Sunset down on the ground and walked over to her car opening the trunk of her vehicle. She pulled out a small leather brown bag. Reaching inside the bag she took out Sunsets journal not looking at her friends she simply said while still crying.

“I know who to call for help with this and I know who will need to be asked to help with Twilight.” Applejack said crying as she took out a pen to write with.

“Who Darling are you going to ask? I mean the only other person that can actually help us is Twilight from the pony world?” Rarity said as she too wiped away some tears from her eyes.

Rarity walked over to Sunsets body knelt down. She picked up her lifeless friend and gently gave her now deceased friend a gentle hug. Before walking over to Applejack's car and placing her dead friend into the vehicle. Applejack looked at her then at the others before replying.

“We all know who I am about to write too. I am sure  Y’all know that there is indeed one that could be more powerful than...that monster that we just saw. Perhaps she could help us. Perhaps she could...find a way to fix this.”

Applejack said nothing further as she opened the book and started to write what had happened that day. As she wrote the book began to vibrate and glow a soft orange then it turned from organ to a softer yellow to match Applejacks skin color. Once she was done writing a letter to Twilight she closed the book and motioned the others to join her in leaving this horrible area. The others slowly followed suit each getting into the two cars that were still parked in parking lot. As Applejack started up her car Rarity walked over to the driver side of the car and opened the door saying to Applejack.

“Darling I am sorry. But, you are in no condition to drive at this moment in time. Sit in the back darling with Sunset and I will drive us to the school and to the portal.” Rarity said looking at her very distraught friend.

“I am so in condish……” Applejack started to say. But, was cut off from completing her sentence with a gentle hand from Rarity was placed onto her shoulder.

Applejack didn’t put up any further arguments as she got out and climbed into the back of the car. She prayed that Twilight would help her and her friends deal with this and that Princess Celestia would also be able to help as well.The five friends each taking one of the two cars that were in the parking lot slowly drove off. The book that was in Applejack's possession now laying in the back next to its dead owner continued to vibrate in the back of Applejack's car. Each of her friends were left sitting in each of their two cars crying for what they had lost and what had happened to their dear friends. As the car’s pulled away from the wreckage of the hospital the demonic form of Midnight sparkle could be seen flying over head. Circling the wreckage of the hospital screeching in anguish. She vowed vengeance against this world and vengeance is what she was going to have one way or the other.
