Chapter 3

Nightmare in Sunny town

“So that’s pretty much what’s the situation is Yunica.” Raven said.

[Hm, well if katie’s skin crawling like that, then it means something is up in that town you’re in.]

“Just bring the car here as soon as you can. Because if I know how Kat is, she’s going to have a look around the place. Which always lead us into trouble.”

[Right…..gimme about five to ten minutes or so, and I should be there to pick you two up.]

“Okay, I’ll bring Kat once you’re here.” Raven said as she hung up. “Speaking of, where the hell is she anyway?” She asked only for her question to be answered as the town around her turned from happy and peaceful, to run downed and grimdark. “Something tells me that Kat has something to do with this.” Raven placed her cellphone into her pocket as she began to run off into town in search of Kat.

(Moments ago)

“See anything Applebloom?” Kat asked as she looked underneath a table.

“Nothing here, this place is cleared.” Applebloom said as she brushed off some dirt from her pants.

“How hard is it to find secrets in this place?”

“Well they are secrets, they are suppose to be kept hidden.” Applebloom said sarcastically.

“Don’t get smart with me kid, just keep looking around and-.” Just before Kat was about to finish her sentence, she notice a grey color mare with yellow & orange mane who was wearing a red shirt, blue jeans, and light blue vest walking into the back part of Sunny Town. “It looks like we just found a lead.” She said as she motion Applebloom to follow her. “Come on let’s check it out.”

“You sure we should be following her? I mean, what if she’s meeting somepony in secret to confess their love for each other.”

“Well you can stay if you want, but I’m gonna have a peek at what this pony is up to.” Kat said as she walked into the words.

“H-Hey wait for me!” Applebloom said as she followed after Kat. As the two continued to follow the mysterious mare, they watched as the mare walked into a house that looked like it was abandoned for quite some time.

“Guess we can ask the mysterious pony if she knows anything about Sunny Town.” Kat said as she walked up to the house and tried to open it, but unfortunately the door was locked. “Hello! Is anyone home?! I would like to ask you about something involving Sunny Town!” She said while knocking at the door. There was no response. “Hey! I know you can here me! Open the door dammit!”

While Kat was busy banging at the door, Applebloom decided to have a look at the well next to the house. As she looked down at the well, she noticed something shining in in the bucket down below. Noticing the wheel on the side of the well, Applebloom began to turn it as the bucket began to move up towards the surface. As the bucket hit the top, Applebloom saw a rusty old key in it.

“Hey, I think this key belong to that pony that went inside.” Applebloom said as Kat rushed over and grabbed the key.

“Well it would seems that we can get inside with this. Nice work Applebloom.” Kat said as she walked back to the door and unlocked it. As the door opened up, the two entered the somewhat empty house of the mysterious pony. “Man, this place is empty as hell. You think this pony would’ve gotten some kind of furniture to for her guess.”

“I don’t think we’re classified as guess at this point. More like burglars entering into someponiy’s house without permission.”

“We’re not burglars if we don’t steal anything. Now let’s have a look around the place for the mysterious pony.” Kat suggested as she and Applebloom began to look around.

“Where did she go? There nothing in here, so she couldn’t hide herself.” Just as she was about to move somewhere else, she notice Kat staring at the fireplace. “Did you find something?”

“You know that mysterious pony that we were just following a few seconds ago?”

“Yeah what about her?”

“Well I found her….but you’re not gonna like what you see.”

“What do you mean by tha-.” Just Applebloom appeared right next to the fireplace, her eyes widen in horror at the chard remains of what looked like to be a teenage pony. There was a moment of silence in the cabin, that is until Applebloom said something. “......No no no no no NO!!!” She said as she ran out.

“Hey! Wait for me!” Kat yelled as she followed after Applebloom. After a few seconds of running, Kat finally caught up with Applebloom. Only for to be surprise as she looked around at the now wrecked version of Sunny Town. “Damn, this place went from happy and friendly to holy fuck this is creepy in less then a second.” She said as she notice Raven running towards them.

“Something tells me that you found something that you weren’t suppose to find.”

“If you mean finding the remains of a dead pony, then yeah we pretty found this place little secret.”

“So we’re going with a cult of crazy ponies then?”

“Possibly, but right now let’s just get the fuck out of here before something else happens.” Just the trio were about to make their leave, they head a sickly voice come from all around them.

“There was no other way. She was going to spoil the party.”

“W-What was that?” Applebloom asked as she ran behind Kat.

“I’m gonna take a wild guess and say that it’s one of the ponies in this town.” Kat said as Raven levitated a piece of wood in her hand, while Kat took a martial art stance. “I’m hoping Yunica get’s here soon.” she said as she notice something pulling itself from below the ground. Kat, Raven, and Applebloom’s eyes widen as they saw and undead pony appeared from underground.

“The curse had befallen her on this very night. She had the mark! She had to go!”

“Applebloom, hop onto my back and don’t let go until I say so, alright?” Applebloom just nodded as she latched herself onto Kat’s back. “Raven, we’re leaving.”

“You don’t have to tell me twice.” She said as they both ran down the street, only to stop as another zombie pony appeared in front of them.

“Please...stay with us. We will never let the same happen to you.”

“No thanks.” Raven said as she threw the piece of wood at  the pony’s head, causing it to fall to the ground. “Let’s head towards the road that Grey Hoof mentioned.” she said as they moved past the fallen zombie as they made it to the entrance of Sunny Town. Only for them to turn back and see three more zombies appearing behind them.

“All we want is friendship. Don’t leave. The others won’t like it.”

“Sorry, but we’re kinda in a rush so if you don’t mind. We’re gonna leave this place before anything weird happens.” Kat said as she saw another zombie pony appear right in front of the entrance. “Oh come on!”

“Fools. Even in death they do not understand. I should have protected her, but I made my choice. This is our everlasting punishment, what we deserved.” Mitta said as she looked at the two humans and little filly. “Now, run. Run for your lif-” Before Mitta could finish her statement, she felt herself being levitated towards them. “Wait what’s going on?”

“Kat, what are you doing?” Raven asked.

“Taking...um...what’s your name?”

“Mitta.”

“Mitta with us.”

“Are you crazy or something? She’s one of them!”

“Yeah, but she didn’t attack us. So I might as well bring her along with us. Mostly because something tells me that she’s on the pony’s dislike list.”

“Put me down this instant whatever you are.” Mitta said as she tried to struggle out of Kat’s gravitational grip. “Can’t you see I’m trying to save you from a fate worse than death?”

“Yes, but at this moment we need someone to help us get out of this forest. Now the only thing we need is our getaway driver to, oh I don’t know. HURRY THE FUCK UP, AND GET US OUT OF HERE!!!” Kat yelled as a car busted through an abandon house, and stopped right in front of them.

“Sorry for the delay. I had to save some ponies on the way here.” Yunica said as a lavender unicorn wearing a sweater vest and purple skirt, and the mare that Kat and Applebloom saw earlier popped their heads out of the car.

“What is going on!? Who are these crazy ponies!” After Twilight said that a blucher knife fly past her head and landed into the hood of the car.

“We’ll explain later.” Kat said as she open the doors to the car as she, Raven, and Applebloom hopped in. “Just get us the hell out of here.”

“We need to leave now.” said Ruby as a large number of zombie ponies started to appear and walked down the street.

“You don’t have to tell me twice.” Yunica said as she press down on the gas pedal, and drove off. As she did that they heard a loud thud sound as one of the zombie pony’s landed on the hood of the car.

“Come on it won't hurt that much!” Screamed the zombie pony who smiled at them as bugs crawled out of his face. “Let me have some fun!”

“Nope!” The cyborg girl said as she hit the brakes, causing the zombie to fly off and slam into a tree. “What the hell happen while I was gone?”

“Who cares just drive!” yelled Ruby. As Twilight was trying to understand what she just saw.

“First mutant bug ponies, and now zombie ponies. Some day this turned out to be.” Yunica said as she drove down the dirt road. “Which one of you guys know a safe place to lay low until morning?”

“Oh! I have a friend who lives outside the everfree she can help us.” said Twilight as she pointed them the way.

“That might be a problem.” Kat said as she pointed at the cut downed trees blocking their path.

“Okay… Umm, I know someone who lives in the everfree but we need to leave the car.” said Twilight.

“I’m not getting out.” Ruby and Mitta said in union.

“Can’t leave my car! I finally finish paying off my car note, and it took me three years to pay it off!” Kat said. “Plus those things are still outside waiting to kill us.

“It’s clear that there’s something wrong with those ponies. I’m sure there just sick or under a spell.” Twilight tried to explain.

“.....Really? You’re going to pull that on us….” Kat reached underneath her seat as she pulled out a old used shoe. “Watch this.” She said as she rolled the window down and tossed it at an oncoming zombie. As it made contact, the zombie’s head flew right off it’s body. “Care to explain how that is possible?”

“It not… That can’t be possible. That kind of magic is outlawed and no pony ever even researched it!” Twilight yelled in a panic.

“Wow… And here I thought she could help.” said Ruby in a bored tone.

“This always happens when something like this can’t be explain by magic.” Applebloom said a she felt the car slowing down. “Why are we slowing down?”

“Um….okay nobody panic.”

“Don’t you mean nopony panic?”

“Okay. Nopony panic, but we’re out of gas.” Everyone groaned but Twilight.

“Does that mean we have to run now?” asked Ruby.

“Hope you guys pass gym class then.” Kat said as she prepared to open the door to the car. “Because we’re gonna have to run like hell.”

“There’s an abandon castle to the south, We can hold up there until the morning.” Mitta said.

“The castle of the two sisters… Yes, we can hide there.” said Twilight as she gets out of the car. “We can wait for help, I’m sure the princess will help us.”

“Okay we need to have a little talk once we’re at the castle.” Yunica said as she bust the door open on her side.

“Seriously? You couldn’t just opened it like a normal person does?” Kat said as she gave Yunica an annoyed look.

“Well it’s not like we’re coming back for it anytime soon.”

“I agree with her, not coming back ever.” said Ruby as she get out next.

“....Dammit! Fine, but you all owe me a new car.” Kat said as she walked outside. “Okay, we can’t stay as a group because they pick us off one by one. So we’ll split up into two teams and meet up at the castle.”

“What!? what if we’re attacked by the crazy ponies again!” panicked Twilight.

“Raven and Yunica are going with you, Mitta, and Ruby. Me and Applebloom are going to to keep their attention drawn on us.”

“Oh no Applebloom is not going with you. Applejack will have a fit if she not safe.” said Twilight as she picked Applebloom up.

“Hey, I’m more capable of looking after her. Plus if I’m going to be a target.” Kat’s body turned red as she levitated Applebloom on to her back. “I need someone light to throw stuff at them.”

“I really don’t like this.” said Twilight as she glared at Kat. “I’m sure if Applejack was here she put her hoof down.”

“Let’s put it this way. Raven and Yunica don’t know how to fly yet, but they do know how to shoot from a distance. Which helps when it come to dealing at a distance, something tells me you can teleport three to four ponies before you’re drained, and if you teleport back for me and Applebloom that would cause you to be even more tired and magically drained, correct?”

“Oh Applejack going to be so mad at me for agreeing with you! But I still don’t think this is safe!”

“Well you better make your choice now, because those zombies are getting close to us.” Twilight groanes as she goes with Kat’s friends.

“You sure this is a good idea?” asked Applebloom.

“Relax, you’re with me now. I won’t let anything happen to you.” Kat said as she started to fly up into mid air. “Now come on, let’s cause some trouble for our so called friends.” She said as she and Applebloom flew off.
