Chapter 1: A New Beginning (Re-Edit)

Hello, my name is Jyro Gunner. I am 19 years old, standing tall at 6’2, and on my 2nd year in college. I was getting ready to go to bed after an exhausting day I had today, after school and after work, the same old routine almost every day. Having this old life style really puts me down with other people around, no friends to turn to, they just fade away. I also have been thinking of what my dad said while back, to wish for the best for me wherever I go and soon to find the one I love who makes me happy. *Pft* Turns out, it was a pile of bullshit. My so called girlfriend suddenly stabbed me in the back just to see me get beat up and humiliated by her real boyfriend. She told him that I was getting her way, which in my defense, she struck first. She didn't see coming that I was a force to be reckon with. Her boyfriend had no clue that I was trained to fight, so he got beaten down to a pulp. Don't worry, he'll live, but the expression on her face was priceless after that and then I gave her a small but strong parting shot that hurt her so much. Yeah, my life completely sucks.

After reading social media, I place my phone on one side of my bed, charging next to my 3DS which is also charging. As time passes, I dose off and fall asleep peacefully, until another shitty day to come. As I am asleep in my dreams, I stood in a place that's full of both clouds and sky as I thought that I was flying. Then suddenly, a bright light shined out of nowhere blinded me as I prepare on what's going to happen. As I stood there, a faint voice so strange but Noble spoke to me from the light and said...

"Oh my child. As I came to you, you have shown me how strong, selfless, patient, humble, and loving that you are. You will leave this foul world that is only around you and have a new life on the new land that you are worthy to be in and to protect. You will also be granted new powers as you set foot on this new land, and you will show and share your ways into the new world and be accepted among the citizens that live there and call this place… home." the voice said that had some meaning.

As it said that, the light brightens intensely now fully blinding me as I went numb, and for a moment, the light dims down. As the light passes, the whole place went dark as I have not yet awaken from that dream until a soft sunshine blurs through my sleeping eyes. As I began to awake, I open my eyes being blinded by the bright sun. As I regained my vision, I scan my surroundings, and found myself surrounded by strange looking trees while birds chirping. As I finish observing the place, it has a nature feel with a gentle breeze and the air is so fresh to breathe, not a single scent of smoke I had to cough with this fresh air. To me, I feel like I'm in another planet, breathing in air that I can't breath *cough* almost. I lay still on the ground for a moment and wondering about, where I am.

“Huh? Why am I lying on the ground in some forest? And was I on my bed last night?” I said until my head aches, "Rrgh, I had this strange dream and something talked to me in it. Hmm… Well that's not important right now, what's really important is where the heck am I? And also, why does my head hurt?” As I began to sit up quickly, I felt like I was being catapulted off the ground and almost stood up on my feet then hit the ground. “Whoa! *thud* Ugh… What the! What was that?” I said shockingly, “Is this a prank? This is not funny man!” I shouted as I looked around and listened carefully into the forest to see if anyone chuckled or at least a little or a twig snapped. Instead, I only hear silence and singing birds.

I tried to stand again slowly and to my surprise I felt that something is missing. “Wait… Why do I feel light all of the sudden? Like, I lost a ton of weight!” I said to myself as I feel like I lost a chunk of my body weight. I look at myself and found out I was in clothing, “Hold on.” I said under my breath. “When did I get dressed? I was only in boxers when I went to bed. And now...?”

I was fully wearing clothes that I have not seen in my closet before. I wore a light grey shirt with a stitched print of a Nike symbol, black shorts with yellow-green lines on both sides, and deep pockets for some reason, black running shoes with cool neon green palettes, and a navy blue woolen hood jacket. I took off the jacket and check out the design, but, what surprises me is that there is something on the back that is a red ball with two lines of different sizes intersecting on the bottom left side, and white flame textures around it. I gotta say this is a sick looking jacket I have ever seen! It looks like someone customized it form online on facebook or something but, still it look cool and comfortable.

“*sigh* Well at least I'm dressed, but why do I feel so light?” I said as I try out the odd gravity as I picked up the stone and drop it. “Huh. The gravity is the same. But, wait…”

I looked around to find a bigger rock and found one size bigger than a basketball. As I pick up the rock, I assume it will be heavy as a bowling ball, but, it turns out to be really light, light as a basketball really, on one hand. It even shakes the ground when I drop it. And to my surprise, once I threw the rock to a tree as hard as I can it shattered not only one side of the tree, but, the rock split into three.

“What the… how did… or when did I…?” I was in shock of how easy it was to throw and demolish the rock at the same time. “Does this mean… that I am…”

“*SCREAM*”

I heard a scream on that side of the forest hearing someone in trouble. I act quickly and followed where the scream came from and Sprint towards it. As for my next surprise, I was unable stop as I ran into a tree with a new running speed. It really hurt on impact but to my surprise no blood spilled out from me, though it felt like I stepped on a digging plow, HARD. And my head feels dizzy, guess my brain bounced there. Wow. I lost count of how many surprises I went through in one day.

“*HELP!*”

As I shake off my head I ran towards the source of that voice at a steady pace so I don't ran into another tree again. (Geez I sure feel really bad about those trees, hopefully I don't break another one.) Looking ahead, I saw a really wide trench up ahead and one thing came to my mind is jump. Another surprise, I jumped about a good thirty feet in the air, I even went above the canopy of the forest, I landed back on the ground (Thankfully no sharp ankle pain) and continued my pursuit. I hear snarling and struggling as I get closer, and when I arrive (SURPRISE!) there are a pack of Timberwolves cornering someone preparing to attack.

“Please! Somepony! Help! I can't hold them off any longer!” The voice is a female and… did she say somePONY? I didn't have time to think about it, all I know that she is in danger and I had to do something.

Good thing I was taught karate when I was 7, but, I stop on orange belt. At least, I self taught myself up until now. “HEY!” I shouted getting the wolves attention. “I'm warning all of you to back off!” I feel terrified standing up against the creatures of myth for someone I don't know. I was not sure if my new strength can beat them all. But, I guess it's worth a shot.

One wolf lunged at me attempting to pin me so I decide to roll out avoiding the attack. I made a good distance during that evasion and I feel pretty confident fighting them. But, that doesn't stop the wolves until another one attacks me head on. Once it leap towards me and gets close enough, I gather up my courage and deliver a smashing uppercut instantly destroying it. The wolf that attacked me first rushed and caught me off guard as I quickly brace myself getting chomped.

(Guess what?...)I thought the wolf caught me there until I peek to see why am I not getting mauled. (Surprise...) I was in a green light bubble that protected me from the wolf clawing away with no effect to it. It didn't matter for me to wonder yet, but it protected me from harm. I evaded successfully during its attack and the shield is gone, then I rush towards the wolf with a straight punch and smashed it into pieces. I was in awe that I took out two Timberwolves with just one blow, until one clawed behind me and sent me rolling about a meter.

"ARGH!" I shouted.

I stood up quickly beginning to feel the sharp pain on my left shoulder, then the adrenaline kicked in, so that I can finish off these wolves quickly. I evade, block, and attack, plus, I found out that the green shield appears whenever I guard or brace myself when attacked. As I finished off every single one, they reassemble themselves and ran off deep in the forest. During the brawl, I happened to get slashed on my right leg when one wolves attempt to bite me. I stood there in the field making sure no timberwolves would come back.

I was on my knees, panting heavily trying to catch my breath for this victory and make sure none of them come back. Until someone came up behind me and spoke.

“Umm… Thank you so much for saving me. I am amazed for what you did.” The same voice said now in a calmed tone praised for my bravery.

“It was nothing… There's no need… to thank me or your praise.” I said still breathing heavily. “I'm just… here to help... And I'm glad… that you're okay.”

“Well I am truly grateful. Really. But, may I ask? What in the whole wide Equestria are you?” The voice said with a question I never been asked before.

“What? What are you talking abo…?” When I turned around, I saw a purple lavender color pony that has three different color stripes on its mane, a mark on her flank, and a single horn on her head. It surprised me that it is a unicorn that appeared behind me. Then all of the sudden…

“Hey? Are you okay?” The unicorn asked me with the same voice that I saved while I was paralyzed from the words coming from her mouth.

After a good thirty seconds, I passed out from exhaustion.
