Time Travels
Chapter 1: The Meeting
Previous ChapterChapter One
*Vworp...Vworp...Vworp*. The TARDIS started up, after a few adjustments with the sonic screwdriver. The eleventh doctor stood clutching the rail, his face screwed up in pain. He was mumbling to himself,
“I wonder where we’ll end up this time...I’ll be all different then...Ginger, hopefully! Never been one. It would be a nice cha...!” At that moment the doctor screamed as the regeneration process took hold. He seemed to explode into a yellow light. When it was done, the (twelfth) Doctor ran a hand through his hair...or should I say...Hoof?
He yelped and jumped back in surprise. He galloped to the mirror, and gasped.
“How did I...I never knew I could take on the bodies of nonhuman life forms. I’m a TALKING pony! And still not ginger! What does a Timelord have to do...And what’s that mark on my bum? An hourglass? Never had a tattoo before...looks nice, I guess. Time and such.” He chuckled, then realized that the TARDIS had come to a stop.
“Well, lets see where we landed!” he remarked cheerfully, going down the steps and causally opening the TARDIS doors. He found himself in what seemed to be the town square, that was bustling with ponies of all shapes and sizes. “Is that a Unicorn? And that’s a Pegasus...I’ve landed in a world of talking ponies, Pegasi, and Unicorns! Ahaha!” The Doctor said, his voice full of excitement.
As he strolled around, he noticed several flyers that said: “1,000 Year Summer Sun Celebration! Tonight in Ponyville Town Hall! Come See Princess Celestia raise the sun yourself! Starts at 11:50pm!” He went over and asked the nearest pony for the time. “Oh, Hello!” She said pleasantly. “It’s almost 5:30.” The Doctor decided to go see the town, and then come back around 11:50 to see what this celebration was all about!

“Colgate!!! Get your butt here this instant! We’re going to be late because of you!” Yelled Bon-Bon. She and Lyra were waiting for Colgate outside of her dentistry office. Colgate walked out and locked the door, fumbling around with the keys to purposely annoy her friends. Lyra and Bon-Bon glanced at each other and sighed. When Colgate was finally done, they were ready to go.
“I can’t believe we actually get to see this!” The three mares simultaneous whispered as they waited for the ceremony to begin. As they started to separate, Colgate became aware of someone behind her. She turned around to see an earth pony with a light brown coat and darker brown mane.
“um....hello?” Colgate greeted the strange stallion.
“Hello! “he responded cheerfully.
“So...who are you?”
“Oh, I’m the Doctor..”
“Huh. That names almost as odd as mine.”
The Stallion looked confused, as if not used to that response. Colgate stood there awkwardly as he looked around. In an attempt to break the ice, she said,
“My names Colgate. Colgate Tardie Romana.” She surprised herself by stating her full name, and was thoroughly annoyed when she realized that the Doctor wasn’t listening. She glared at him. He finally turned her way and asked,
“Why does every pony have a tattoo on their bum?”
“Umm,do you mean their...Cutie Mark?”
“Oooh, so that’s what it’s called. Where do you get them done?”
“Well, it’s not really a place. They just appear when you find your talent. It’s your own little...thing, your way of establishing yourself.”
The Doctor looked around once more, then directly at Colgate.
“So why do we have the same one?”
That caused Colgate to looked at the Doctor’s cutie mark, which wasn't very clearly visible amidst all the ponies, but could be made out. She was very surprised, almost terrified, to see an hourglass that very closely resembled her own. She stood there, dumbfounded as he glanced at her warily.
“I don’t...I never meet anyone w-with a talent like....like m-mine.” Colgate said, almost in awe.
“And what is that talent?” the doctor questioned, not realizing how much this was scaring Colgate,
“The power...the power over time...and-and the p-power over space. Teleportation and t-time travel.”
An ageless sadness seemed to fill the Doctors eyes. He spoke in a almost inaudible voice,
“That describes me more that you know.”
He tried to adopt some of his cheerfulness, though his voice sounded quite odd.
“The show’s about to start, wouldn’t want to miss it!” he said, then moved a few places away from her, which Colgate's friends started rapidly filling. She did her best to be enthusiastic with her friends as the mayor started her speech, but she could not help that feeling of dread that was boiling up inside. She couldn't explain it, but she had a feeling something was about to go wrong. And then something did.
