Tome of the Searching Flame Act 6 Helping
Previous ChapterNext ChapterLeara went to the TARDIS and grabbed some food and made a huge soup. She gathered the soup and gave the soup to the ponies and served it. It broke Leara’s heart to see ponies of all ages starving. A young unicorn filly that had been in line before showed up again in the line.
“Please miss can I have one more bowl?” The filly asked. Leara sighed she knew it would be wrong to give this filly extra.
“Why do you need extra?” Leara asked.
“It’s not for me it’s for my sister she’s sick and can’t get out of bed.” The filly explained about to burst into tears. Leara took a bowl and filled it. She looked at Dakota. He nodded.
“I’ll take care of this while you go help the filly.” Dakota said. Leara smiled and walked off with the filly. Her sister was indeed very sick and malnourished. Leara sat next to the sick filly and examined her. Her hoof was cut, infected, and broken.
“Do you have parents?” Leara asked. The other sister shook her head. Leara stood up.
“I’m going to get some medicine you give her the soup.” Leara said. The filly nodded. Leara galloped to the TARDIS as fast as she could. That filly didn’t have much time and her sister knew it. She gathered as much as she could and galloped back to the filly’s house. When she got there the healthy sister was feeding her sick sister. Leara smiled that filly cared for her sister. Leara sat next to the sick filly and began her procedure.
“What are your names?” Leara asked.
“I’m Sweet Song and my sister’s name is Star Dust.” Sweet Song answered. Leara smiled.
“What’s your name?” Sweet Song asked.
“Leara, your names are prettier.” Leara responded. Sweet Song smiled. Leara put the antibiotics on a bandaged splint and applied it to the hoof. Star Dust shrieked, but Sweet Song comforted her.
“Star it is okay this lady is here to help you.” Sweet Song explained. Leara was able to put the bandaged splint on the hoof. Star Dust and Sweet Song smiled.
“Okay, Sweet Song change that bandage every week and make sure you put this on the bandage.” Leara said handing Sweet Song the antibiotics. Sweet Song hugged Leara and at that moment Leara’s compassion grew.
