Petal's Song

What is this place, full of so many wonders? Petal sang the same song that her mother sang before getting her cutie mark.

She had lots of talent in singing, more so than Fluttershy. Cinny had always told her this, but then again, she was the only one that Petal was okay with singing in front of. She often went out into the meadow by her house, and sang with her pet cockatiel Melody whistling along beside her. But Melody was sleeping, and she wanted to sing.

Soon, this little song that she's known since she was a filly was drawing a crowd of woodland creature onwatchers, silently listening on. -Petal was used to this, it happened every time. What she didn't notice until she was finished, however, was that this time another little creature had been drawn in by the harmonic tones.

"That was beautiful!" Said a small, but still deep voice behind her. Petal turned around, looking for the source of the statement, and spotting a small zebra filly sitting just on the edge of the forest.

"Who're you?" Asked Petal, shocked by the zebra's sudden appearance.

"My name is that of the ancient tribe Zerabu. I heard you whilst collecting blossoms for my mother to use." Zerabu replied.

'Mother's potions, rhyming, not to mention she's a zebra...' Petal thought to herself "You must be Zecora's daughter!"

"That I am."

"Well, do you wanna hear some more?"

"No thank you, that lovely tune was enough, I think I should go give my mother this stuff."

And with that, Zerabu disappeared into the trees.

'Well, at least I know where to find her...' Petal thought, before heading towards the cottage.
