Destruction visits Equestria

Twilight stepped out of the train, and into the city of Canterlot.  Her friends following close behind her.  AppleJack walked up to Twilight and gave her a quick nudge.  "Hey Twi?  I know that this is important an' all...but are ya sure it's ok to meet the princesses unannounced?"

Twilight sighed, she hadn't considered this.  "Well, I'm not sure AppleJack.  But the map led us to this spell, so there must be an enemy in our future that'll be as strong as Tirek!  This time we have to be ready!"  She said.  Everypony nodded in agreement as they walked towards the Canterlot Castle.

Spike walked into the library room of the castle, still dusting the floors.  "Ugh...I don't get it...how does a crystal castle get this dusty so quickly?!"  He asked himself.  Deciding to take a break, he leaned his broom against a shelf and sighed, walking towards the exit of the room.

Just as he was about to exit, the broom hit the floor with a thud.  Spike looked back and groaned a bit.  "What does a dragon have to do around here to get a---" He paused mid sentence, noticing something odd.  The broom strangely enough cracked a thin layer of what looked like glass.

Inside appeared to be a button.  He wondered how he's never seen that before.  Maybe because of all the crystals he's never seen the small glass in the floor.  He cut the remaining glass in the way with his claw, then hesitantly pushed the button.

Suddenly, a large door opened in the middle of the room.  Spike stared in awe, as the spiral staircase underneath seemed to go on forever.  He sighed and he started walking.  "Gulp...here goes nothing..."

Twilight and her friends were allowed inside, the large doors opened and the guards stepped aside.  Twilight looked up at the staircase a Princess Celestia walked down the steps.  "Hello Twilight, what brings you here?"  She asked, tilting her head some.

"Celetstia!  The map activated again!" She said, deciding to get right to the point.  "And we found the tower of StarSwirl the Bearded!  Along with his personal journal!" She said, levitating it up for her to see.

Celestia took the journal, flipping through the pages, until she came upon the tabbed page.  She looked puzzled, then a bit curious.  "Alicorn Goddess...?"  She mumbled to herself.

"Do you have any idea what that is?  Or why the map led us there?"  She asked.  She hoped that even if Celestia didn't know what the Alicorn Goddess was, she'd at least know something about why the map led them there!

Celestia sighed a bit under her breath.  "Unfortunately, no I do not know what the Alicorn Goddess is..."  For a moment, Twilight looked down, until Celestia spoke up again.

"But, I think I may know why the map brought you there to get it."  She said.  Her horn glowed and the sun on the floor glowed as well.  A staircase, lit by torches underneath.

"Come everypony, I have much to tell you."  She said, proceeding to walk down the steps, with Twilight and her friends following.  Making it to the bottom of the stairs, a hallway with cavepony-like painting was before them.

"Long ago, cavepony art described a being unlike no other in terms of power..." She explained as they walked down the halls.  "They described not a mortal, but a god who's strength was unmatched."  She said, though part of her sounded...scared.

Everypony seemed interested and fascinated in the cave writings.  Some showed ponies bowing to a jackal-like creature.  Other's showed either ponies satisfying him, or the jackal destroying them.

"He was known as Beerus the Destroyer..." She said.  Reaching the end of the hall, there was one large painting of the jackal in the middle of what looked like a sun.  "They say he's powerful enough to destroy a planet with a single finger..."

Everyone gasped hearing this.  This was beyond what they'd expect.  Twilight seemed to start to go crazy again, a few hairs going crooked.  "W-What?!  How can anyone in Equestria be that powerful?!"  She asked in disbelief.

"He's not from Equestria, or from this planet?  He's from somewhere we've yet to understand."  She explained.  Rarity spoke up and asked.  "Excuse me Princess?  But what does this have to do with what we found?"

"I believe this is why the map sent you to find that spell.  I believe that Beerus the Destroyer is coming here!"  They all gasps once more, louder than before.  "What?!  Can't we just...idk...use our harmony magic against him?!"  Asked Rainbow Dash, unsure what to call the magic they used to defeat Tirek.

"I wish we could, but I do not know if that will be powerful enough to stop him...This 'Alicorn Goddess' spell may be our only hope."  She said, eyeing the spell and how to get it to work.

"Twilight, I need you to find out how to use this spell.  I'll inform Luna, Cadence, and Shining Armor about this."  Twilight nodded and ran out of the tunnel, her friends following close behind.

"Girls, do whatever you can to prepare for his arrival!  He can arrive in weeks, days, hours, maybe even minutes!"  She said, starting to freak out as she flew off.

"Lord Beerus?  Have you finished brushing your teeth?"  Whis asked, sounding like a nagging mother.  Beerus grumbled as he walked down the stairs, wearing his godly clothing.  "Yeah Whis, I'm all done.  Can we go now?"

Whis smiled as they walked outside the temple.  Tapping his staff on the ground a few times, a light appeared underneath them and they shot off into deep space.  "I hope that they have good food there..." He said, looking around the stars as they rapidly passed by.

"I'm sure they do Lord Beerus.  For now, just try to relax until we get there." Said his attendant, with a smile.

The two godly beings zoomed through space, rapidly approaching their destination.
