Chapter 11, ‘Big Blank Theory’

The gang was now dissolving after their 5+2+3 (the main 5 plus sunset, the two Twilights Maud and Lyra) impromptu dinner, while Rainbow was picking on her teeth with a toothpick, tried to disguise a belch “Sorry…”

Twolight with a hand calculator was wondering, “So, one moment, how did you saw a black hole in a Einstein-Rosen bridge? Black holes per definition need both time and gravity to exist, and a wormhole has neither… The only logic answer is that you two left the wormhole for a moment at T minus 1 but then because Sunset here threw the portal device MK-1 the explosion collapsed the black hole while launching both of you back on the wormhole, but that only can work if around the black hole there was no time perspiring…  Oh my Oh my, this is BIG! Do you know girls what you did? You both made the Big Bang! All of our universe was created by you!”

Pan-faced Sunset said a laconic “Whoa…also, decide, Einstein-Rosen bridge or wormhole”

Pinkie tried to crank her old joke “Nice Ma…” promptly being shushed by Twilight.

“She’s right,” said Maud on a whole different context. “Shut up for a while Sister.”

Twilight kept going on “It can’t be, both of us where born from this universe, we can’t create it!”

Twolight replied her pan dimensional clone, “It can according pre-determination principle, the universe created you, so in turn you can create the Universe and that ad nauseam. Also I decided to be efficient and Einstein-Rosen Bridge is such a mouthful so, wormhole it is.”

Twilight was both amazed, mighty and modest at the same time. I created the Universe… It was nothing gals…” At the end she lost all modesty.

“I threw the portal thing, I created the Universe, and you’re as much, the Universe’s Art Garfunkel.” Replied Sunset to Twilight.

“Erm… it’s a Portal Device MK1, not a “portal thing” told Twolight

Twilight, smug asked Sunset. “Ready for round two Duzbelle?”

“You’re going down Twilight!” Then Sunset, somehow, Demoned out, shortly after Twilight Pony-ed up, with both her wings and horn, she was no second to Demon-Sunset. Rainbow while grabbed some popcorn from Pinkie sat with a smug “This is going to be good…”

Twolight stood between both Sunset and Twilight, outstretched her arms “Giiirls! Cut it out already!”

Both Sunset and Twilight, seemed to consider her words, and then powered down. “We sorry”

Rainbow, now that she can kiss the duel of the century good bye, wasn’t happy “Awww don’t tell me you both defuse this with ‘friendship’ when you can solve this with a fistfight.”

“Yes we do.” replied them at unison, “Don’t know, I suppose I am not looking forward to be tasered again, also friendship is always the only valid answer…”

Twilight completed “…And I don’t want to fist fight with you again, you got a mean right foreleg punch you know?”

Then both hugged like good friends do. Maud simply commented, “Go to an Hotel both of you.”

Twilight soon completed “Em, she doesn’t hinge that way…” then put on a sad face, when Twolight put her arm on Twi’s elbow. “We have to talk…”

Blushing furiously and suddenly interested on the woodwork on the House’s floor, Twilight simply stated, “It’s this body, this accursed body that has such a rush of hormones, it’s quite unstoppable…”

“I see…” Commented Twolight.

“Yes it does, it’s the reason of why I ended up with Flash Sentry, that an the fact that he acted all familiar arro…” Sunset suddenly realized something, quickly drew her Phone and phoned Flash Sentry.

After some call tones he picked up “Hi S. How it’s doing? You weren’t the author of that ruckus on the CHS this noon?”

“We talk about that later, look, I am trying too… too… Ehh , write an assignment for class, tell me, when we started being a ‘deal’?”

“REALLY Sunset? What kind of question is supposed to be that? We knew each other since 6th Grade.”

Sunset now realized, she replaced her human version as Flash Sentry girlfriend if she was pissed about her whole ordeal, now her humour became sanguine. Who and why murdered Human Sunset?

“ Ehm, just a preliminary recap… Do not think too much of it”

“Uhh, look, Sunset, you are creeping me out you sleep this night on your Sorority and tomorrow we talk. Bye.” Then hung up.

Sunset now openly crying tried to tell Twilight:

“He, he knew me, before I was even here… Knew the human Sunset, since primary School, now he’s angry with me.”

The always-secure Sunset, now, a crying mess, wanted to be alone.

Both Twilights chased on her “Wait!”

Twolight was certainly confused, Twilight understood slightly more but not much…

Sunset composed herself “Look, according Flash Sentry, we met on 6th grade, that was before I wound up here, so Flash met the true Human Sunset, Twilight, TWILIGHT! Care to stop wolfing down quesadillas for a freaking minute?”

Twilight put the fork on the plate she decided to keep from the dinner and after politely burping on her fist “Sorry.”

Sunset kept going on “So, conclusion, Flash Sentry is actually the only Human Being who knew Human Sunset Shimmer for real. So, when occasion arrises, we must grill him discretely for any info he can have!”

The trio made their way to the entrance, even before hearing the doorbell sounding, then at unison they said “We open the door!” there was again Barbara Cooper, now wearing a Russian style hat with earflaps down, after all, it was a chilly night.

“Night, I suppose I found the right house, this is the sorority who was on those weird disturbs on the CHS? We need your help.”

Twolight who was now behind Sunset and Twilight, unholstered her electric contraption, after turning it on, it soon registered a signal of .06 TK or ‘ThaumKinetics” a term she coined back then at Crystal Prep after hearing of what happened on the CHS.

“Girls! There’s magical activity on the portal!”

Barbara heard Twolight and pointed out “If that means the Monolith is going gadzocs, then she’s correct.”

Barbara was presenting the three with her Patrol Car. “This is Betsie, a ’77 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with 4 speed manual transmission and 452. V8 big block, we’ll get there FAST!”

Twilight simply not understanding this world fully tried to introduce herself to the car. Sunset commented, “I'm sure you knew ‘irony’ back on Eq… your hometown.”

Barbara laughed loudly “Cut the cheese with me! I wasn't born yesterday, even if I don’t know the whole story I can add two and two, look, I know I saw you two (signalling both Sunset and Twilight) were spewed by the Monolith this afternoon, you Sunset looked capable to kill your friend, and so I tased you before it was too late.

Twolight then began grilling Barbara just on sheer naiveté, “So you saw a portal apparition? Did you see something unusual? They appeared cold? Their movement seemed normal?”

“Who’s this?” Asked Barbara.

“We call her Twolight, She’s mostly harmless, to avoid confusion, because her and she (then Sunset touched Twilight’s elbow) are basically the same being on two separate Dimensions, or Universes” Twolight quickly corrected her, “Parallel planes of existence” making Sunset quickly quipped at her with the same adage as before “Thanks Twolight, everybody wants to be corrected”

“Certainly.”

Barbara now was beyond puzzled. “So, there’s more than one of everybody?”

Twolight madly nodded “Yep, I calculated at least 30 planes of existence, there should be more, but the monolith seems to work according Moon phase multiples of 30 on those planes, we are all sorts of things, from fish to intelligent soda machines” Twilight said “On my plane, Equestria, I am a Pony Princess.” Barbara then grew with joy “Eeeek Ponies! That’s soo cute, I’ll like to go there at some point and pet all of them!” Twilight looking serious replied “That wouldn't happen like that, once you arrive you take the aspect of your ‘twin soul’ on that world, look at Twolight and me, Yes, even us appreciate pets and hugs when they are on our homes and with one special Somepony we trust. Out of that, you can end covered in rock or on the moon.”

Barbara partly composed herself, “So Sunset at first I came here for ask just for you, some… Thing appeared and asked insistently for you. It got some students hostage, some of them are 1st graders and told us it was going to kill one hostage each minute it passes before you meet it.

Sunset then experimented a very humane fear, looked back at the ‘Twolights’ also, the remaining of the main 5 were there. “You gals want to come to the Monolith? It could be dangerous...”

“No, I have to go alone. Can’t expect you girls to…” Pinkie stopped her, “Look Sunset, we are not letting you immolate yourself for our sake.”

Applejack said “She said first graders, mah Sistah AppleBloom could be there, if dat neher’do’gooder does anything to her, ah swear I’ll”

Sunset got her hand and compressed it with all her might “Look, it would be nothing, because we’re going there and end it before it even starts”

Barbara, then, ashamed, mused, “It arrived 10 minutes ago…”

Sunset took charge of things “Barbara, Twolights, on the car, Barbara, you get all that’s worth of those rodents under the hood, the remaining of the girls you all wait before the house.”

They boarded on the patrol car and Barbara drove quickly to the monolith.

There Sunset twisted her fanny looking at both Twolights on the back, “Twilight you saw both of us can transform, so here seems to be some sort of magic here, when we got there, both of us concentrate and teleport the girls to the monolith.”

“But I don’t know I can do that…Yep, it seems there is magic here, but can’t tap into it like on Equestria.” Said Twilight.

“Look I know it isn't easy, nothing here isn't, but I am planning to help you as much as I can…”

“Thanks Sunset, but do not know if even both of us can overpower what we can find once we arrive”

the patrol car loudly squealed to a halt.

Barbara told them, “We arrived.”

There was the monolith, now without the statue topping it, a colossal and grotesque figure was near it, at it’s feet were many student bodies, it kept it’s promise true, Sunset recognised Snails on the fallen ones, the car stopped an the four of them steeped down, the figure, looking at Sunset talked with a deep voice.

“Oh, Sunset Shimmer, comfort and joy, NO! I know I came here and KILLED you already, in fact I still remember how you wept imploring for your life…” at that time Sunset saw Flash Sentry on the pile of bodies. Sunset then interrupted the creature  “Please, no, just don’t make me angry, you won’t like to see me angry tell us your name and business.”

“I don’t care about your feelings, do you wonder how felt the cow that made your Hamburger? Look I had been before in your Equestria, I was there for killing you, but you didn't were there… Eventually I took your friend’s pet lizard and it told me your location…”

Twilight then feeling worried for Spike’s sake commanded the creature “Tell me that you didn't hurt him.”

“Oh no no no no… after I killed a white punny thing that tried to defend him, your ‘pwincesses’ Celestia and Luna chased on me, I had the information I wanted, so made myself scarce.”

Twilight, now on the verge of both tears and primal rage, screamed “How you could kill Rarity? She embodied generosity, never ever planned to hurt nopony! Sunset! Kill this fucking thing!”

Before hearing any answer both Sunset and Twilight, used their magic to bring their friends there, Applejack immediately looked for her sister, she found her alive. Rainbow looked for Scootaloo, while Rarity was looking for Sweetie Belle, she found her, and she wasn't moving and in a pool of blood. The harsh scream she let go can still be heard on many multiverse planes.

The monster then focused its four eyes on Sunset while adjusting its yellow and red mane. “I am from Kaiju Dimension, I am here to eliminate my other dimensions twin souls so I can be the only one, I am Sunset Shimmer, by the way.”

They all ignored the monster, while trying to console Rarity, they were no monsters, and Rarity needed all the support they could spare.

Sunset, almost faded away, her thoughts hinged on pure wrath, she felt her back sprout wings, and a horn protruding from her skull, she looked like her former demon self, but her eyes didn't change, she was now an instrument for good and even if the horn breaking her skin felt painful, she didn't care, that wasn't a moment for caring, it was a moment where a monster falls before a monster…

“With pleasure Twilight.”

Sunset was still a mere flea for her not-a-double, but much faster, she soon demonstrated after buzzing around her monster twin, she grabbed one of the creature’s sponsons, supporting two of it’s four eyes, after twisting at it with all her might, said sponson,  snapped on the weakest point.  The monster, after screaming at it’s loss, moved to reciprocate by killing off more hostages, a possibility sunset soon nullified by grabbing the monster’s tail tugging at it But it grabbed her with it’s tail claw, it then gone to town with Sunset, pushing her onto the semi-demolished buildings. After some minutes of abuse, Sunset was now blood soaked.

Luckily, she had friends, as in cue Pinkie shot her party cannon, slithering the creature’s other eye cluster away. “That’s for Sweetie Belle, Rarity and the others!” At the same time, Sunset escaped the claw by ripping the creature’s tail. Now was the creature’s time to bleed while contorting.

While Snips, walked towards Snail’s body, kneel down and silently wept. “Snails…”

Now blind, the creature continued revolving wildly, worryingly near it’s hostages, Twilight decided to teleport them away, collapsing due of her being overstrained now. Before losing her consciousness she shouted “Sunset, you can go hog wild on the creature! All the hostages are safe now!”

Sunset told the now unconscious Twilight “You can consider it done, and done, also, you monster, we girls don’t slay our friends relatives” then Sunset prepared an advanced teleport that included time travel, to the worst place possible.

She, once prepared, threw her magic out of her horn. Then, also collapsed.

Before disappearing, the monster could be heard saying “But I am a boy!”

The monster appeared over a familiar black hole, a certain device with three buttons floated besides the Kaiju’s still live body, the third button was blinking a red light, when it clicked at the beginning nothing happened, then it did some sparks, the deuterium/uranium core reacted, releasing a cataclysmic fusion reaction, the kind that happened on millions of stars combined, it was beautiful. The same kind of event that can put some travellers back inside space/time continuum or jump start a whole universe.

The Kaiju died for good, now our Sunset Shimmer was the only one.

When she woke up, she found new powers growing in her, a whole new level of Universe Understanding was now evident for her, she felt she could do anything, she walked to Sweetie Belle’s body, Sunset unleashed her new power with the words “Deus Ex Machina!” then Sweetie sputtered, and opened her eyes, before she could ask Rarity was besides her hugging her “Please darling, never do this again to me!” Sunset walked towards Snails, also recovering “S-Snips!”

“Keep on being such… Nice? You two” told Sunset maternally.

Sunset then walked to Twilight, “Look Twi,  I’m going to Equestria and check that it’s still as peachy as it was, also never had been a God and I have to test my limits…”

“Take care… Lucyfer…”

Sunset then loudly laughed, “Good one Twilight!”

Twolight remembered her she can’t travel, she still hadn't time to build the Portal Device MK2… “Look, Twolight I no longer need any portals, now I can see the parallel universes as they’re just overlapped, I can transverse between them by just adjusting my focus, look…” Then Sunset banished in thin air, she was now in Equestria.
