After a UNSC first contact team goes missing on Equis, the SPARTAN-IIIs of Knife team are sent in to investigate for the UNSC's Eagle Sword fleet, which waits outside the system. Meanwhile, as the Mane 6 are stargazing planetside, they make contact with one of the SPARTANs, and peaceful diplomatic relations are soon formed. But enemies of Equestria and the UNSC, both old and new, are determined to manipulate the population and resources of the planet for their own interests. What follows is a path full of war, tragedy, redemption, and love, as Knife team finds their humanity in the most unlikely of places.
