Predator: FracturedHearts

The dark feathered griffon went flying into the air going straight into a tree falling into a puddle of water about a a foot deep. He coughed and pushed himself up slowly, the panic at the base had caused him to flee and whatever caused it wanted him to do just that. He could hear its voice taunting him but it sounded like his own voice. He looked up and then down wondering where it was, he could hear it but he couldn't see it. But then as he thought it was gone the sound of something stepping in the water was heard. He looked forward and froze as the creature materialized from thin air. The water had caused its cloak to turn off, the being was large and it stood on two legs. Tube like dread locks came down from its head and down to the upper part of the beasts back. The griffon shook his head in denial, his beak was bleeding and he began to cry. Once strong and brave, he was a coward as the creature screamed and a double blade shot out from the creatures armor at its wrist.

"No...P-please....I didn't do anything wrong! Please don't hurt me" The hunter seemed to chuckle as it leaned down to the downed griffon showing off its weapon to the black griffon's neck but not hurting him. The hunter was showing the boy what it could do. "No, please don't kill me! I didn't mean to be an asshole to everypony" The griffon felt like this was because of how he treated his fellow soldiers. The hunters mask lenses flashed and the organs of the Pony were now visible to the creatures eyes without having to kill or cut him open, the male was healthy a perfect prey. The griffon trembled in pain and the hunter looked at him and quickly shoved its blades into the male lifting him off the ground, "AAAHHHHHHHHHHH~!!! FUCK!!" The hunter tilted his head and was surprised to see there was a little effort of fighting this. The griffon cried in pain and was dieing slowly the hunter screamed and two more blades came from its other arm and it swung them up into the males head ripping it off from the spine.

"What was that!! Watch yourselves!!" Fractured looked around and then it started to rain but they heard it again. It was a loud roar off in the distance. "Will, take lead we are moving! Moving right now! We have an unidentified hostile and our commander is dead!" Sapphire was laying down in the tall grass, her snow white feathers getting wet as she was laying there. She would be completely white if not for her ice blue head feathers and tipped feather wings. She was hurt and watched as the ponies seemed to be sparing her life. She didn't understand what was going on either but she did know that a ponies head just exploded from a big ass beam of light. Iron Will took front and Fractured quickly went to the wounded griffon. "You come with me, alright, we won't hurt you unless you try something stupid!" Sapphire whimpered and quickly nodded getting up.

"Alright! I just want you too know that I had nothing to do with your commanders death! I swear none of us did!" Sapphire pleaded and Fractured listened, she knew that  Sapphire was telling the truth because never had she seen such a weapon before. "Please you have to believe me. I would never do such a thing I didn't even want to be apart of this whole thing!" Fractured nodded and motioned the female griffon to start moving. The pushed on further to try and head back on the right track to get to the base and see what is going on. Now that they had Sapphire they would surely be able to get into the base safely and maybe not get shot at. It was getting dark quickly and they were loosing visibility but the smell of smoke was now lingering close. They followed it and pushed themselves through the thick bushes. After bursting through Sapphire dropped to the ground and started screaming.  "Noo!! What did you do! DAD!!" Fire was spreading across the base and there were griffon bodies everywhere. They couldn't all be dead...could they? Fractured was shocked herself...yes the things she had seen before were bad but this was allot worse.

"Look for survivors!!" Fractured lowered her weapon and looked to her medic, she was terrified as usual. "You heal if we find any, okay?" Iron will shook his head and butted in once again.

"This was not Crankies mission! This is not a rescue mission for fuck sake"

"This isn't Crankies mission anymore! Look for survivors" Iron Will took a long time to finally break from his ground and start looking for survivors. "Thats what I thought...there has to be something here" The smoke was not helping either, thick, thick smoke caused it hard to see but eventually something moved. The thing was coughing as if gasping for air,Sapphire looked up hearing it and she teared up as soon as the something burst from the smoke.

"Gallants!! Gallants Oh my Celestia! Your alive!" Sapphire got up and Gallants looked over and stumbled a bit as he as well quickly started to run to her. They both clashed and were now in a hug. "What happened here...Gallants what happened..." Gallants didn't speak he just held the slender bird next to him not wanting to let go. He then looked over her shoulder and saw the ponies but he didn't seem to care at this point not after what he saw here.

"Its okay Sapph....Its okay, they made it out. They made it out with your father....they're not all dead Sapph" Gallants sounded weak and terrified but he was not going to go without telling the girl that her father was okay. "Its okay..."

"I-ts OKAY! What the hell happened here!?" Iron Will lowered his large weapon and looked around at the now flaming buildings. "Looks like our mission here was taken care of but by somebody else.." Gallants ignored Iron Will and held the female Griffon close and she was shaking scared and tears flowing down the sides of her face and dripping from the tip of her bright orange beak. Fractured nudged Iron Will shaking her head to get him to shut up. "I am just saying!"

"Listen sir?" Fractured set her weapon on the ground to seem less of a threat, she knew what she saw in the woods. "What happened here? I saw something in the woods" Iron Will rolled his eyes and stomped off a bit not wanting to hear what he believed to be bullshit. "Something is out there and it killed out captain...did it do this?" Gallants stared over at Fractured moving Sapphire aside for the moment. "Sir?"

"Did you hurt her!?!? DID YOU!" Gallants had a pistol on his side that he now pulled out with his wing. "You better not have!!!" the weapon was immediately lowered as Sapphire slowly lowered it for him, she was shaking her head with tears still on her beak and cheeks. "Something attacked us, something killed my friends! Only a few of us were let go! IT WILL BE BACK!" Fractured nodded knowing something had done this but what? She didn't know how to talk to him because he was a griffon and she was a pony, last she checked talking to each other was not something in her training. "It was fucking invisible....it took us out like flies in a trap. I don't know what it was"

"I saw it too....barely but I saw it"

Roseluck ran taking off her Weyland uniform even though now it was too late. With a loud roar she was knocked to the ground in fear as the Hunter uncloaked staring down at her from the safety off all his weapon and technology. She screamed and crawled backwards on the ground as the large creature walked slowly towards her.

"Please! We didn't know! Just take it and go please!" Roseluck tossed the hunter her backpack and the creature stopped walking looking down and picking up the bag. "Yes...thats what you want right? I shouldn't have taken it...I was just doing my job" A small laugh started to echo out of the mask the Hunter was wearing. Roselucks eyes widened and she began to scream as two large blades extended from the wrist of the hunter as it tossed the bag aside. "WHAT! No take it! NO!!"

"You shouldn't take what does not belong too you...." The hunter used a mixture of pony recorded voices to speak, it was sick and crackling  sounding as he reached down and picked her up from the ground. The sticks around snapped under the weight of the two, tilting his head to the side the masks eyes flashed red and he looked into her body, she was healthy. With a little laugh the Hunter tossed Rose to the ground and now both wrists had large blades extending from them. "Run..." She got up and took off running towards the smoke that she could smell flowing threw the wilderness. "Run..Run....Run....RUN!!" Turning invisible the creature leaped up into the trees and began to pursue  the Weyland worker. "Run..."

"Fuck! What do you want!"

"Run...Run....AHAHAHAH~!!!"

"Fuck you!!" Roseluck screamed coming too a stop taking out a weapon firing bullets up into the tree tops. The bullets smashed into the tree leaves and branches sending wood chips into the air and onto the ground. "Die you son of a bitch!" She continued to fire off rounds into the trees and then she saw it in the corner of her eyes in a tree. The flashing eyes of the mask shifting to a green color, then a blue, then back to red again. She turned to fire and was sent too the ground as a large net flew down from the trees smashing her to the ground and trapping her in a ball of wire. Iron Will at that moment came running in with the medic, RedHeart. "Help me!!!" The net clicked and it began to slowly tighten around her giving less and less room for Rose to move. She looked to see dust fly off from a branch as the hunter seemed to leave.

"Holy Shit! Rose!?" Iron Will took out a large knife kneeling down to her placing the blade on the netting and was shocked as the metal of the blade was chopped in half as soon as it contacted the constricting net. "What the!! What is this thing!" Rose groaned and shook her head the best she could.

"That wont work, I have a knife that will...in my bag..." She looked up and the bag was dangling from a branch in a tree. "HURRY!!" Iron Will looked up and ran to the tree jumping up for a branch with no prevail. The netting was getting closer to Roselucks face and it looked like it wasn't going to stop, it would kill her. "Iron Will!!!" He jumped and reached trembling as Rose was in trouble, he just couldn't reach a branch to start climbing and the tree base was too large to shimmy up. Redheart looked and waited for Iron Will to jump up again. She rushed to his side and looked up at the bag.

"Push me up! Iron Will throw me up there!" Red heart pleaded and the net was beginning now to cut into Roselucks nose. Iron will looked at the bag and then too the medic and looked doubtful it would work. "Just do it! NOW!" He growled and picked her up jumping and then tossing her as hard as he could up and it worked. Red grabbed a branch and quickly began to climb up too the bag. "I got it!" Once she got too it Rose was in pain screaming as the net was getting tighter.

"Cut it! CUT IT!!!" Rose screamed as tears began to fall on the dirt below her. Red tossed the bag down and the knife that Rose was talking about fell from it and slid to Iron Will and he grabbed it pulling out the bad from the handle and placing it onto the net. An electrical shock rushed from the knife too the net  on contact shutting the net down and it began to reverse the net so she could escape.

"We did it Will! I did it!" Red slowly began to climb down the tree when she screamed as the Hunter appeared face to face with her, letting go she fell from the branch and smashed into the ground being knocked out cold. The hunter laughed again and disappeared. When Red smashed into the ground Iron Will could her a loud snapping sound come from her body and he froze looking at her and the laugh echoed from far off. Rose pulled herself out from the net, she had cuts on her body now in the formation of netting. On her cheek and nose and arms.

"R-Red...RED!!!" Iron Will screamed rushing to her side, was she....dead?
