PROLOGUE
Neigh York City, Present Day…
Honk! Honk! Screech! Wee-woo-wee-woo!
Neigh York. The city that never sleeps. Filled with individuals who live a life of misery and struggle to get by. Most people fight for themselves, while a few for their loved ones. Whatever jobs anyone can land in a place like this would require them to ruin the lives of others to become successful. The term “nice guys finish last” would be the code people live by in this city. A dog-eat-dog world out here.
Some may even take a life to get ahead. Those who are desperate to make a name for themselves may result to drastic measures. They would literally eliminate the competition, and some succeed in getting away with such dastardly deeds. Even some who are caught red-handed. So long as they have enough dough to fill the pockets of those who decide their fate, they are immediately absolved. And these are people who remain exposed to the public eye.
The underground society of thugs, gangs and traffickers seem less despicable than those who have more successful lives than them. Yet people always tend to be wary of them the most than the ones that they sit or walk alongside with. Wolves in sheep’s clothing. Everyone seems oblivious to the fact that their own people are monsters. That they should fear each other the most.
Bang! Bang! ROAR!!!
“We’re dead! We’re so dead!”
…At least, until now.
Once a place filled with mortal sin was now invaded by…supernatural corruption. Creatures not from this realm terrorize the already-suffering population. Hundreds have died over the course of the week, and the numbers continue to rise. Men, women, children… No one was spared. Demons and abominations scatter the streets and rooftops, all varying from shape and size, as well as intellect. They are formidable beings that not even the mightiest of humans can hope to defeat. One by one, the protectors of humanity are cut down, mutilated, and crushed. Hope seemed lost.
But ‘tis not the case. The moment these monsters appeared, a warrior not from this world had followed. Already she had ended a good quarter of the demon swarm. She possesses abilities no human has. Even with mortal weapons, she can fuse them with her power and accomplish what humanity’s finest have failed to do. Brave, mysterious, dangerous—
GROAR!!! Ack! Choking!
Alright…I think…it’s time you met—ack! …the hero spoken of. Just…pan that camera upwards. A little more… A little more. …I think my face is turning blue. Can you hurry the hell up?!
Oh, hi there! Name’s Sunset. Sunset Shimmer. Also known as Sunny, Shimmy, She-Demon, Best Human… Of course you know all that already. See, I’m in a bit of a predicament here. Currently being choked by a demon while doing this story’s introduction is quite—ack! Quite…rude… Hang for a bit…ack!
Gotta reach my sword! Argh! Doesn’t help that I’m being pushed towards the edge of a building. A very tall building. Probably about fifty stories up. Seriously wishing this were a video game so you’d take the role of the player and start mashing buttons like crazy. And I seriously wish this thing would stop drooling all over me! Seriously, I swear this thing’s got halitosis.
Almost there… Got it! All it takes is one quick slice. Swish! Haha! Off with its head! Phew! Alright, gimme a moment to push this thing off of me. There! So, uh… Where were we? Ah yes!
Oh wait, more of these guys are coming. Yo, Pinkie, describe the ass-kicking I’m about to do to our readers here!
"Right-o, kapitan!"
The hideous beasts neared our beautiful heroine, stalking her like the predators they were. Sunset cautiously strafed to the side, her sword at the ready. Her gaze locked with the creature at the middle, sharp eyes like daggers. It was a silent battle, the other daring to make the first move. The other two demons were moving to opposite sides, looking to flank Sunset.
It wasn’t hard to notice their strategy. The girl, while wounded and exhausted, still had some fight left in her. She had killed an onslaught of these demons the moment she stepped foot into the city. And like those poopoo-heads, she can take these three on. Though one has to wonder how she managed to end up on this rooftop when a mere few minutes ago she was in front of Caste Moulin.
"Indeed! I was enjoying browsing the marvelous collection they had in store! They have some rare diamonds that were sure to be worth billions!"
"Rarity, I’m trying to narrate here!"
"Well, you brought up the jewelry store! Should I have just sat by while you prattled on with your primitive narrative when I could give a more adult input?"
"You can’t sit, silly! None of us can! We’re voices in Sunny’s head now!"
"Uhm, girls? Perhaps we should focus on the story…?"
"Yeah! Shit’s about to go down and you guys are ruining it!"
"Ah agree with Shy and Dash. Sunset’s in danger, and I reckon’ she don’t have ‘nuff in her to use any healin’ spells."
"Oh, you’re right darling. And I doubt she could keep her clothes intact any longer. Those monsters have nearly torn her outfit to oblivion!"
"Hehe, not complaining."
"Not now, Dash."
Girls?
"Yes?"
I’m about to charge now. Can you let me focus?
"Oopsie, sorries! Still want me to narrate?"
Yes please.
"Yay!"
Cue the music.
With lightning speed, Sunset dashed towards the closest demon. It too had begun to charge, letting out an ear-piercing shriek. Lunging at our heroine, it raised its claws, preparing to strike. Sunset predicted this and let her body fall, sliding across the floor. She thrust her blade onto the demon’s stomach, cutting its torso open as she continued to slide. Blood and guts spilled out and the monster let out another shriek, this one of pain, and tumbled towards the ledge, falling soon after.
Sunset quickly pushed herself up and spun to face the next demon, which was already about to slice at her face. She let herself fall onto her knees and arched her body backwards, narrowly missing her decapitation. She then swerved her body and swung her sword at the demon’s bony waist, slicing it in half. In mid-spin she caught sight of the third demon spitting something at her. Her heightened reflexes kicked in and she rolled to the side, dodging the lethal saliva these creatures secreted.
Once she recovered, she heard a loud sizzle coming from her blade. Holding up the sword, she saw that the spit managed to get onto the steel, melting the portion that was hit. Soon the middle of the blade melted into nothing and half of the sword fell onto the ground with a loud clang. She looked back at the creature, and it appeared to have a smug look on its face.
“Mother…FUCKER!!!” Sunset yelled out, throwing what remained of her weapon at it.
Before it could hit, the demon swatted the blade to the side and charged. Just as it was about to swing its claws at her, Sunset jumped and placed her hand on top of its head, flipping above its moving form. Once she landed, she ran towards the demon and tackled it to the ground. The creature roared as she grabbed its head and repeatedly slammed its face onto the floor.
“Do! You! Have! Any! Idea! How long! It takes! For Twily! To make! These things?!” she yelled with each slam.
Regaining its strength, it pushed itself off the ground, turning to grab Sunset. She leaped back and lunged to deliver a swift knee onto its gut. Though she underestimated its size and instead…
DING!!!
"Ooh!"
The demon whimpered pathetically as it fell onto its knees, clutching its damaged nethers. Without wasting any time, Sunset clutched its face with both hands and jammed her thumbs into its eye-sockets. It screeched as she pushed deeper, twirling her thumbs around to increase the pain. She kept at it for a couple more seconds before twisting its head to the side, snapping its neck. The screeching stopped, and its arms hung on the sides. Sunset released the demon and let it fall to the ground.
"Uh…gross?"
"Sunset… That was barbaric…"
"Haha! Fatality!"
"I… I don’t feel good…"
"Woohoo! Epic finisher is epic!"
Phew! Alright, time to move on. Oh, yikes. Looks like this place has gone to hell. Literally. So yeah, the whole place is overrun by demons. Demons that are neither from here, nor from my homeland, Equestria. Ya know, a magical world filled with ponies and other mythological creatures? If you’re reading this then you obviously already know. Why am I even explaining myself? Don’t give me that look! You all look, uh…what’s the word? Confused?
Oh, right! Yeah, you’re probably wondering how this shitstorm happened in the first place. Well, remember the last story you read about me? No? Ugh, fine! Recap!
“I don’t love you.”
“NOOOO!!!”
…What, too short? Alright then.
“Sunset?” Twilight spoke.
“Yea h?” I reply.
“Turn off the television.”
The dread I felt increased ten-fold at your words, but I complied. After switching off the device, she moved and turned away from me. I swallowed, fearing what words will follow such actions. She looks as if she’s struggling what to say. I felt compelled to speak, but for some reason, I’ve been running out of words to say all day.
“You have feelings or me.”
“Y-yeah… I do…” I uttered out.
A moment of silence passed, then she spoke again. “How long?”
I chew on my lip, seeing if there is still a way to mediate the situation. Nope, none. The truth is out, so I might as well go all the way. “When we started writing to each other, maybe?”
“…I see.”
“So what was that back there? Clearly you feel the same way, right?” She groped me, in case you’re wondering what “that” was.
I hear her shift, but don’t look. “I was merely…confirming it.”
That brought a frown on my face. “Confirming it?”
“Yes.”
“…Like what, an experiment?”
“…Are you mad?”
“After all that, I would have thought I had more than a slight chance.” I turn my head to the side away from her. “Apparently that isn’t the case. That was beyond leading me on.”
“I didn’t mean to—”
“Well you did.”
“I’m not used to this type of stuff,” she said.
“Bullshit.”
“Oh, well excuse me for not having the experience regarding romance! Need I remind you of the kind of upbringing I had? How awkward I was, and still am, with others?!”
“You have a ton of friends! You always tell me how you’re surrounded by wonderful ponies who love and understand you! So don’t give me that crap of being awkward with others!”
“…I’m sorry.”
“You’re sorry,” I repeat what she said in disbelief. “That’s really all you have to say?”
“What do you want me to say?” she asked, looking back up at me.
“How about a proper rejection? No beating around the bush, no bullshit… Just reject me.” I hold my arms up. “There is no way you can hurt me more than you already have.”
“I don’t love you.”
Yeah, fuck you too Twilight. Am I missing anything? …Oh yeah.
I got my hopes up, became way too confident, and expected way too much and ended up getting hurt in the end. So fuck me, then. Why not throw something else at me? Clearly I deserve this! What can possibly be worse than this?!
A wild She-Demon Doppelganger appears! “It‘s been a while.”
Ha! You thought the sequel would be a more serious story, eh? Well, no. This is what you get. Yeah, so my evil demon counterpart appears before me. Apparently because of all the negative emotions that mixed with the then-dormant magic within me, she was physically manifested as a separate entity. She took a huge chunk of my power with her, giving her the ability to—
Ah, fuck it. It’d be too boring to just explain all this. How about I just show you in the next chapter? That way you’d know why this story’s narrative is like a certain recent kickass movie that broke the box office, how I got this fucked up personality like I’m suddenly a near-carbon-copy of God’s Perfect Idiot, why my best friends are now mere voices in my head, and get the full picture of how I became a Bloody Sunny.

Sequel to Victim of Love is up! And so begins this ~~epic~~ stupid tale of demon hunting and violence galore! I was originally going to make this a more serious story, but I figured it'd be funny to see how a crazy Sunset would be like, given that most of her fics have her as the troubled or redeeming heroine.
Also I'm crazy for the Deadpool movie. Watched it 7 times. Sue me.

One week earlier…
So our story actually starts like a few hours after I was confronted by the She-Demon and was still unaware of you watching me like the voyeur you are. It was Sunday, which meant that me and the girls were supposed to have our weekly get-together since we’re the most free on this day. I mean, we’re always together at work, me being their agent and all. But we’re strictly business when we’re recording songs, meeting up with company heads and other fake-ass celebs that socialize with us just to gain face. I mean, the Rainbooms are pretty much one of the hottest bands that managed to maintain popularity all these years. Yes, we’re still called the Rainbooms. Well, I guess the name doesn’t matter if the members are sexy as hell. Hehe, the outfits we wear…
Wait, I’ve lost topic! Anywho, the girls have been calling my phone for a good couple of hours. We were supposed to head for the usual place, but given the predicament I was currently in, I couldn’t quite respond. So being the lovable yet nosy friends they were, they decide to head to my apartment to see what the hell was up. That’s when things got bad real fast…
Applejack, being the second leader of the gang, took the liberty to knock on my door. Loudly. I swear she’ll knock it down one of these days. “Sunset!” she called out with her thick Southern accent. “You there, Sugarcube?”
In her naturally quiet voice, Fluttershy spoke, “Maybe we shouldn’t bother her. If she’s not answering her phone, perhaps she just wants to be left alone…”
“Oh come on, we left her and Twilight alone yesterday!” said our reckless, big-headed daredevil, Rainbow Dash. “Twilight’s our friend too, so I think she owes us a day together!”
“While I believe Fluttershy has a point, it is awfully rude that she would not even inform us about not wanting to spend the day with her friends,” our fashionista, Rarity, gave her input. “We communicated yesterday, so clearly she could spare even one text.”
And to complete the unintentional roll call, our party girl Pinkie Pie spoke last, “Well, maybe she’s feeling down! I kind of made them uncomfortable back at the bakery yesterday. And I so don’t want that to be the reason why she’s ignoring us!”
The country girl turned to them. “Let’s not assume she’s ignorin’ us just yet. For all we know she just ain’t feeling well. If that’s the case then all the more we should check on her.”
“Perhaps you’re right, darling,” Rarity said. “I’d hate to leave the poor dear alone if she’s feeling under the weather with no one to take care of her.”
“Right.” Turning back to the door, Applejack knocked again. Not too hard, dammit! …Heh, that’s what she said. “Sunset! Ya in there?! Holler if you could hear us! Or speak!” No answer, obviously. Kinda tied up now, Sugarcube. “…Well, I’m gonna use my spare key now! Pardon the intrusion!”
You aren’t pardoned. Just turn around and leave, girls! This story doesn’t have to go on! We can totally prevent this whole fiasco from— Aaand they’re in. Fuck. Fine, we’ll let it play out.
But first…
For the umpteenth time, I let out a loud cry as a wave of immense pain hit me. I struggled and squirmed against my bonds, desperately trying to free myself from this torture. This only increased my pain ten-fold. I cried harder, tears running down my cheeks, my skin glistening with sweat, tears… And blood.
I was currently pinned onto my bedroom wall, my arms and legs spread out and held by black matter. My fiery red and dirty golden locks were matted against my face, soaked heavily with sweat. Just a couple hours ago I was clothed in the previous night’s garments, but I was involuntarily stripped bare, my aching skin exposed to the cool air of my apartment. Scars and bloodstains covered my body, a result of two hours’ worth of abuse.
The biggest injury I am currently suffering is on my nethers. My sex had been relentlessly attacked by the same dark matter that bound me against my wall, but it took the form of a bladed tentacle that painfully ripped through my tender flesh. An immense amount of blood dripped down my thighs to the floor, staining my tiles in crimson.
I cried out again as the tentacle pushed in further. I can feel the tip of the blade scraping against my womb. I’ve never felt such agony in my life, and no one ever should. In a futile attempt to lessen the pain, my bladder released its liquid contents, spilling urine all over the floor, mixing with the blood. The hurting did not cease, and all I could do is sob pathetically.
It is a wonder how I’m still alive after all my body has been through over the past couple of hours. I must have lost so much blood that would render someone at least unconscious, but I am alive and awake. And at this moment…I yearned for the sweet release of death.
Just when I thought the tentacle would penetrate my womb, it pulled itself out, deepening the cut on my bleeding womanhood. The tentacle swayed from side to side in front of me, as if anticipating the moment it enters me once more. But it was waiting. Waiting for a command to proceed.
“Aww, what’s the matter Sunny? Can’t take anymore?”
At the sound of the ominous voice, I glared up to meet the gaze of the creature that subjected me to this torment. Its flesh was a deep crimson, eyes black as night, and long red hair with yellow streaks slicked back. Its head adorned long horns that curved to the sides and long sharp ears. Its body was nearly bare, save for what appeared to be two black leather straps in the middle looping around its ribs to the back, two belts hanging around the waist and the familiar black matter covering its nethers. On its back were two large wings, folded yet moving ever so slightly with each step the creature took. Its long sharp tail swished around deviously with the sway of the hips.
“Fucking…bitch…!” I spat out, glaring at the She-Demon in front of me.
She grinned widely and pressed a claw underneath my chin. “Oh, don’t be that way. I’ve been asleep for so long. I need to release all these pent up urges somehow!” She leaned her face closer to mine, her smug smile widening. “Admit it. You’re enjoying yourself, aren’t you?”
“Like hell…I am…”
"Now, now… You would do well to save your breath."
And with a snap of the finger, I am suddenly met with a piercing pain on my torso. I gagged and spat out a tremendous amount of blood. After a few seconds of choking on my own blood, I looked down to see a large tentacle had pierced through my gut. I couldn’t even cry out in agony, only managing to let out a few hard coughs as more blood escaped me.
“Hah! That shut you up, alright. Now then…” the bitch paused as she turned away from me. “…stay there like a good little girl while I…tend to your friends. I bet they’re quite worried about you.”
Suddenly, the pain didn’t matter all that much at the mention of my friends. My eyes widened as I choked out, “Don’t…touch them…!”
With that annoyingly sinister laugh of hers, she turned her head back to me and sneered. “Try and stop me.”
The girls entered, obviously put off by the darkness of my home. RD was the first to comment, “Why’s it so dark?”
“Her curtains are closed,” the shy girl pointed out. “I wonder why.”
“If she truly isn’t feeling well, perhaps she has a headache and wanted as little light as possible?” Rarity assumed. “It’s something any normal person would do.”
Applejack called out again, “Sunset! Can ya hear me?! It’s Applejack! The whole gang’s here!” All they were met with was an eerie silence. “Perhaps she’s still sleepin’?”
“Let us check her room. It would be rude, but we should make sure our friend is alright.”
And so they made their way to my bedroom. The floorboard creaked, alerting the sinister being awaiting inside. Oh, how I wanted to strangle her! But right now, I’m being held captive in plain sight, yet they had no way of seeing me. The demon had cast an Invisibility spell on me. She had my whole body pinned to the wall like a crucifix in magical chains that burned my skin whenever I struggled to free myself. Gods, it hurt like hell! Didn’t help that I was stark naked as well. Oh, they’re in front of the door. Great, here it comes…
Opening the door, they were greeted by the sight of my doppelganger. Surprise did not form in their features, for as far as they were concerned, what they saw was nothing different. The bitch was wearing my face and clothes, leaning against the headrest of my bed. She had a fake expression of discomfort on her face, fooling the girls completely. They had no idea of the trap laid out for them.
Her gaze fell upon them, speaking in her best weakened voice, “Girls? What—cough! What are you doing here?”
I caught sight of them and cried out to them. “Girls! Help! That’s not me!”
My voice fell on deaf ears. The demon had also cast a Silence spell with Invisibility. Ugh, I remembered how I felt at that time. Really sucked!
Surprisingly, Fluttershy was the one to run up to the bed. “Oh, Sunset! You are sick!”
Rarity soon followed. “Darling, we were calling you for hours. Why didn’t you inform us that you were ill?”
Letting out another fake cough, the demon replied, “I would have… But my battery died in my sleep. And I couldn’t fine the strength to get the charger… And I heard you girls, but my throat hurts really badly. I couldn’t respond when you called out to me.”
Likely story, bitch. Wait until I get free of my bonds! Ow! Damn, it burns!
Applejack, Dash and Pinkie walked up to the bed next, the first speaking up, “Dun’ worry, Sugarcube. We’ll take care of ya. Even if yer sick, this is still our off day. And we’ll spend it with ya no matter what.”
“Damn straight!” Dash agreed, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Don’t think for a moment that we’ll leave you alone. You still owe us a day after you spent it with Twi.” She then furrowed her brows. “Where is she, anyway?”
“Cough! She…went back to Equestria,” the demon replied. Not a lie. She really did go back. “Said something about a Princess Emergency… She sends her apologies of not saying goodbye…”
“Aww!” Pinkie groaned. “I wanted to apologize to you and her again! I owe you both another one since I ruined your outing yesterday!”
With a sickeningly fake smile, she said, “It’s fine, Pinkie… You just caught us off guard, that’s all…”
Caught us off guard? Hmph, that’s an understatement…
“Well, I still owe you a super big apology… I know! How about I—”
“No, Pinkie, we are not throwing her a party when she’s sick,” Rarity interrupted her. “The last thing we need is to lengthen her recovery.” She placed a comforting hand on the demon, and I could practically sense her aura of smugness. Gods, I hate her! “Rest assured, Sunset, you’ll be healthy in no time.”
Another fake smile. “Thank you, girls…”
And with that, the girls went on to do different things to take care of the shit-eating-grinning bitch on the bed. The only one who stayed by the bed was Fluttershy. Of course she’d be the first target. Villain 101: Go after the most vulnerable character of the story. Still didn’t stop me from trying to get out of my binds.
“Is there anything you need from me, Sunset?” Fluttershy asked in her oh-so-sweet voice. Seriously, it’s practically dripping with syrup. “Water? A change of clothes?”
The imposter seemed to think for a moment before speaking. “Actually… A change of clothes would be nice…”
Pretty sure we all know where this is going…
Nodding, the animal lover stood up and walked over to the dresser. She fished out a white sweater and sweatpants, walking back to the bed. She sat down and stroked the demon’s hand. “Sit up, please. Uhm, slowly…”
She complied, adding some shivering to make it more convincing. “Okay… I’m up…”
Just when she began to unbutton the pajama shirt, Shy stopped her. “Oh, please, let me do it. I-I mean… I wouldn’t want you straining yourself. N-not that I think you’re weak and all! I just… We’re here to take care of you…”
The demon nodded weakly-looking. I had to roll my eyes at that. If I were the one on that bed and actually sick, I’d tell Shy that she shouldn’t coddle me. I’ve taken care of myself countless of times when I’m sick. This thing is ruining my image! But before this goes on…

Huh, I wonder if this was how she really felt about me. Either that or she was under the influence of some spell the demon cast.
…Why am I hoping it’s the former?
The demon’s voice broke her out of her stupor. “Are you alright, Shy?”
Blinking twice, she rapidly waved her hands in panic. “Y-yes! I’m sorry! I-I wasn’t staring! I mean, I was, but it’s just that I’ve never seen your body before… N-not that I’ve been wondering about how you looked naked! I was just curious! Y-you’re always so athletic like Rainbow Dash, and I—!”
She was silenced by a finger pressed against her lips. “Shh… It’s fine, Shy. I don’t mind. In fact…” The now-succubus-like demon leaned her face closer to hers. “I’m quite flattered.”
“Y-you are…?”
“I am. In fact…” Leaning her face next to her ear, she whispered her next words in a thick, sultry voice. “I wouldn’t mind if you gave me a little extra care to make me feel better…”
Eyes widening, my shy friend began to fidget. “Uhm… E-extra care?”
“Why stop with some medicine? Perhaps I’ll feel better with a massage? A bath? Or…” She trailed off just long enough to give her earlobe a brief nip, bringing out a squeak of surprise from the other girl. “…a kiss?”
Huh, so Fluttershies come in Tomato?
“Sun…set…” Shy whined, breathing heavily.
“Your body says it all, Shy,” the demon whispered. “You want me. You can have me. I’m yours for the taking.”
“B-but—”
I couldn’t tell for sure, but I bet the bitch’s eyes glowed red with her next words. “Let yourself go, dear… Do what you will to me. Take me here and now.”
Aaaand she’s gone. With force I never knew Shy could make, she pushed the demon onto the bed and attacked her neck with her lips and tongue, hungrily licking her skin. Huh, it’s always the quiet ones. I could tell even the creature was surprised, but she smiled and let the girl do her thing. Wow, didn’t know Fluttershy had it in her. Always took her as the gentle type when in bed.
Unbeknownst to the naïve girl, the demon had used her powers to silently close and lock the door.
Fluttershy then moved downwards, nipping at the imposter’s collarbone and upper-breast. She then took her right nipple in her mouth, eagerly sucking and licking it. She spent a good moment licking her navel, eliciting more moans of pleasure, and moved down to the waistband of her pants. She gave one final kiss under her bellybutton before slowly pulling down her pants.

As I continued my attempts to get free, my poor friend was ravaging the demon’s pussy, running her tongue around the entrance, and sucking at her folds. Her face was coated with sweet nectar, giving and she gave herself the occasional lick. I could tell even my doppelganger was surprised Shy knew such a technique, evident by her twitching sex. “Shy…” the demon groaned. “Take me, Shy! Eat me out!”
With a moan of compliance, the girl thrust her tongue inside, tasting her wet walls. The demon let out a loud cry, gripping the top of Shy’s head to pull her in deeper. By now I bet the girls have heard the noise and were rushing upstairs. Banging and yells can be heard from the other side of the door. This did nothing to stop these two, however, and only seemed to excite the demon more. So she gets off of being caught, eh? Well…I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t the same.
I knew she was getting close. The she-demon was now grinding herself against Shy’s face, urging her to go faster. Shy groped both her thighs, and that seemed to do it. As the demon’s moans hit a crescendo, she burst all over my friend’s face, soaking her completely. Wow, she didn’t last long. Take that, bitch! Oh, and hey! I’m out of my binds! Basic rule of plot: have the protagonist break free from their restraints when the situation reaches its climax. Ha! Puns.
I fell onto the floor with a loud and hard thud. Apparently breaking my binds also disabled the Invisibility and Silence spell, which startled the demon and my friend. I yelped out in pain, suddenly reminded of the dire injuries my body possessed. It’s amazing how I was still alive. Once I gathered myself, I gripped the bed and gathered all my strength to pounce at the imposter. She was too quick, though, for she teleported herself and Shy all the way across the room. She held Shy tight in her grasp, one hand on her throat and the other pinning the timid girl’s arm behind her. The poor girl looked so confused as she stared at me with wide eyes.
“Let her go, bitch!” I yelled out, forcing myself to stand.
“Sunset, what’s goin’ on?!” I heard Applejack through the door.
Oho, the little slut just smirked at me. “But Sunny! Why would I do such a thing? She totally wants me. You were watching, weren’t you?”
“Not on her own accord. Now I’ll tell you again, let her go before I pull out your guts and wring them around your neck!”
Okay, even I admit that was disgusting.
“Oh? And what makes you think you have any power against me? I’m the physical manifestation of your magic! You can’t possibly hope to do anything.” She grips Shy even harder, making her gasp for air. “Surely you know that, don’t you? You can’t feel any magic, active or dormant, within you, right? It’s because that magic is standing right in front of you! And without me, you are…”
Gods, she’s monologuing. Wait, is that even a word? Whatever. Typical villain. Can’t we just get to me having my ass handed to me? Hey, reader, press Triangle to make me charge at her already!
And there I go. Without letting the demon finish her bullshit rambling, I ran my way towards her. At the time, I didn’t even know what I would do. I just had to do something. That was my friend she was holding hostage. And damn did she look scared. Then again, I did know in my heart that I was powerless against my doppelganger. Indeed she was once the magic in me. Which meant she could destroy me if she wanted to. But nope, she decided to just pin me against the wall. Again.
“Argh! Put me down, you asshat!”
“Hmmm… Nope. I can’t have you interrupt my meal.” With that said, she looked down at Shy with hungry eyes. “And I bet she’s quite delicious…”
Cue the door breaking down, courtesy of AJ I bet. The rest of the girls rushed in, shocked by the scene before them. Yeah, I’d have laughed at their expressions that time. But the situation was just too shitty to find any humor in it.
“What the hell?!” Dash cried out, looking back and forth at me and the demon. “Sunset, what is this?!”
“I’ll explain later!” I said, struggling to get free. Again. “Save Shy, dammit!”
“How about no?”
The girls screamed as black tentacles suddenly shot out from the ground and took hold of their limbs. “I’ve seen enough hentai to know where this is going”, right? Well fuck you. It doesn’t go where you want it to go.
The demon cackled madly as she brought them down to their knees. “I am so glad everyone decided to come. Saves me from having to track you all down one by one just to get your powers. But you all just love Sunset oh so much, don’t you? Predictable. Your friendship was what defeated me last time, but alas, you are now at my mercy.”
Is she monologuing again?! God, where is this bitch’s off switch?! Was I this bad back then? Please tell me that wasn’t the— Oh crap, she’s about to steal Shy’s power.
The demon moaned as she gazed into Fluttershy’s eyes. “Now, little kitten… Time to feed.”
My friend gasped as the creature’s eyes glowed red, and her mouth opened to reveal sharp teeth. Without warning, she attacked Fluttershy’s own mouth with hers, causing the girl’s eyes to widen further. Sounds of gagging can be heard, and soon the demon pulled away, mouth still open. Coming out of Shy’s mouth was a faded yellow string of energy, obviously her inner magic, and the creature was sucking it away.
Shy began to shake rapidly as more of her magic was being drained, and all we could do was watch helplessly. I couldn’t remember whatever I yelled out, but the tears rolling down my cheeks I could never forget. It hurt to see my innocent(?) friend suffering like this. The sweetest girl I’ve ever known in my life, and because of my magic she was hurting due to the mistakes I’ve made. Especially since I now realize she had feelings for me.
After a few agonizing seconds, her eyes rolled to the back of her head, and the last of her magic was sucked away. With a moan of delight, the demon dropped Shy onto the floor. I watched in horror as my friend slowly disintegrated into a thousand lights. Little by little, her form disappeared, until the last of her light faded away. She was gone.
I could hear Dash screaming bloody murder. Out of all of us, she was the closest to Fluttershy. They were like sisters. I knew they were friends since childhood, and I could only imagine the pain Dash was going through, losing her. I gave her a silent apology as I tried to summon the strength to free myself from the demon’s telepathic bonds.
It wasn’t like my burning restraints from before. She was truly holding me down with her mind with great control. It made me wonder just how powerful my magic wa s. But that wasn’t important now. Right now, the demon had moved on to the others. She was starting with AJ. Gods, I had to hurry!
There had to be a way to break free. Surely there was still some magic within me. Magic that remained pure and uncorrupted. I closed my eyes and concentrated, trying to find the power I hoped was there. It proved difficult with my current predicament, as well as my race against the clock. My friends were being drained as well.
Nothing. I had found nothing. More tears streamed down my face. I opened my eyes again to see AJ’s lifeless form fading away, just like Fluttershy. The other girls looked absolutely terrified. Pinkie, whose usually bouncy hair was now straight and covering half her face, was sobbing loudly as the demon went to her next.
No. I couldn’t give up. My friends were counting on me. If I don’t do anything now, they’ll all be lost. Forever. So I tried again to summon whatever power lingered. I searched my soul for something. Anything. I was straining myself mentally as I willed myself further. In the background I could hear Rarity crying. Pinkie was gone as well. Come on…
Ping!
There! I felt something! It called to me. It was faint, but real. A beautiful color of gold. It was within my reach. I focused my mind as I gathered the magic. Bit by bit I felt it grow. It was spreading through my being, and soon I felt the weight of the demon’s magic lift. The intense pain I felt all over my body dissipated. The magic I was summoning had also healed my wounds. It was a tremendous relief. I knew I had surprised the monster without even looking at it. My spirits rose as I felt a burst of energy fill me within. With a willful cry, I broke free from the corrupted magic that bound me.
I landed onto the floor and brought my eyes up to the demon. I was about to speak, but them my gaze fell upon Dash’s body. She was the only one left, and she too was fading away. I watched as the last of my friends disappeared, and I cried out to the heavens. I could hear the demon laughing mockingly at me. I was too late. I couldn’t save them.
“So close, Sunset,” the demon mocked. “So close. In the end, you really could do no good. That’s all you are. A failure. It’s best you submit what’s left of you to me.”
“…You sadistic fuck.”
“Give up, Sunset! You can’t possibly—”
I cut her off as I shot a beam of light at her, knocking her against the wall, forming cracks on the wood. I wasted no time rushing towards her. I balled my hand into a fist as I gathered energy within it. Before the monster could recover, I clocked her on the side of her jaw, sending her crashing through the wall. I chased after her, and I saw her getting up. She summoned black tentacles from a portal that appeared from behind her. They shot at me. My reflexes kicked in and I rolled onto the floor, dodging them, following up with another beam of light. This she side-stepped.
She caught me by surprise as a tentacle shot out from the floor beside me, swinging itself onto my side and throwing me onto my table, breaking it. I groaned as I felt splinters pierce my skin, but I quickly shook off the pain as I shot a flurry of beams at the demon. I grew frustrated as each shot missed, but I was slowly backing her against the window. I shot one beam towards her leg, causing her to leap backwards. Her back hit the glass, and I took the opportunity to use my magic to shoot myself towards her. She couldn’t react fast enough as I rammed her through the window.
We were both sent falling towards the hard ground below. We were on the sixth floor, and I doubted I would get out of this unharmed, let alone alive. I willed myself to summon wings that only slowed my decent. I landed on the concrete ground, creating a small crater. It hurt my knees and ankles like hell, but I was still alive. I saw several passerbys stop to watch the scene, and several cars stopped in their tracks as I blocked the way.
The demon had crashed several feet from me, creating a larger crater. There was no movement, and I had thought I did her in. But that wasn’t the case as a black aura emitted from where she was. With a blast of dark energy, I was pushed back by the force and ended up against a nearby car. I heard the car door open and the driver speaking, probably asking if I was okay. I didn’t respond.
Once my head stopped spinning I looked over to the black sphere that had formed on the crater. It was spinning and growing, and bolts of dark electricity formed around it. Suddenly, several tendrils shot out. They stabbed at every person they could reach, lifting them up into the air. Panic ensued, and those who weren’t caught by the tendrils began running. Some cars drove backwards, while other drivers got out of their vehicles and ran for it.
I watched in horror as the people caught by the tendrils cried out in fear and agony as their bodies disintegrated, their whole beings absorbed by the demon. The tendrils shot out to claim more victims, causing the sphere to grow further. I got off the car and turned to the driver behind me. “Get out of here!”
Nodding, he booked it and I turned back to the sphere. I shot a beam at it, only to watch it bounce away, hitting a nearby street lamp. Like earlier, I gathered magic within my fist and ran for the ball of black energy. Though before I could reach it, the sphere burst, knocking me back again. I at least caught myself and landed safely on my feet. But what stood before me made me freeze.
There stood the demon in its true form. Its skin was crimson red, eyes black as the night with red pupils staring at me, and fiery hair slicked back. Its fingers had long, sharp claws that shone under the light. A long bony tail with a blade at the end swerved back and forth, as if trying to intimidate me. It was naked, yet a black mist covered her from the waist down. She smiled, revealing her sharp teeth.
“You didn’t think it would be that easy, did you?” it teased.
Growling, I summoned my magic and shot myself at her. I prepared for impact when suddenly she teleported away, and I found myself flying head on to a truck. I instinctively shielded my face with my arms before colliding with the windshield, shattering the glass. Small shards had pierced my arms, and blood gushed out of the wounds. But the pain was dull. All I could feel was rage.
Pushing myself off the truck, I willed myself to create a spear out of my magic and threw it to where the demon stood. Again, she teleported. A sharp pain erupted on my gut, and I gagged as the force threw me against the truck once more. As my back hit the hood, I was soon met with a more intense pain on my stomach. Crying out, I looked down to see the demon’s tail had impaled me, pinning me to the hood of the truck. I gripped the tail and attempted to pull it out, but my wrists were then bound by tendrils.
The demon stood before me and leaned closer, her smile wicked and wide. “You put up quite a fight. I didn’t expect you to even find some magic after I separated from you. But of course, the odds are still in my favor. I thank your friends for giving me so much power. They were delicious.”
I spat at her, creating a splat of blood on her cheek. “Fuck…you…”
“How rude.” She then twisted her tail’s blade, causing me more pain. I cried out once more, blood dripping from my mouth. “As compensation, I’ll be taking that power of yours. It isn’t much, but I know it will still prove useful.”
Before either of us could react, though, a loud bang rang in the air. A splatter of blood hit my face as I saw a gaping hole appear on the demon’s chest. She screeched and stumbled backwards, pulling her tail out of me. She didn’t seem to be in too much pain, though. If anything, she looked pissed. With hazy vision, I looked past her to see what had caused her injury. Even with my current state, I was surprised to see the person standing there.
It was Twilight Sparkle, dressed in a lab coat over a green sweater that reached past her waist, a pair of navy blue jeans, and a pair of black and white sneakers. Her hair was done up in a bun, with stray locks cascading down to the sides of her face, and she sported a pair of thick-framed glasses. In her hands was what appeared to be a large gun, the design giving it quite a futuristic look. The muzzle was smoking, indicating itself to be the source of the shot.
Her clothes, her stance, those pigeon toes…
Eyes narrowed, she glared at the demon she had shot. “Step away from her, monster.”
Turning to face her, the demon snarled. “Oh, if it isn’t little Miss Heartbreaker. Have you come back to deepen the wound? Figuratively and literally?”
Wrong Twilight, bitch.
Gathering enough of my strength and ignoring the pain on my gut, I charged at the creature from behind and thrust my hand into the bloody hole. The demon screamed loudly in pain as I channeled my magic into my hand, burning her from inside her wound. I then gripped her forehead with my other hand, channeling more magic into it.
But while I intended to burn her on that hand as well, something else had happened. My magic suddenly acted on its own and I felt it begin to absorb something. With each second my body felt lighter, and whatever pain I felt before diminished. I looked at my body to see my wounds healing. At that moment I knew what was happening. My magic is draining the demon off hers.
I then heard several voices in my head, screaming my name as more power flowed into me. The demon was struggling now, and soon I forced myself to pull away from it. My body was filled with magic, more so than before this creature appeared before me. My body was engulfed in an aura of gold, and orbs of light rotated around me.
The demon turned to me, its eyes red with fury. It appears I took a good chunk of her magic from it. “Give them back to me!”
As the monster lunged at me, the orbs shot themselves at her, knocking her back. I did not command them to do such a thing. It was as if they protected me by their own will. I took this chance to retaliate, summoning a large amount of energy with both of my hands. “Twilight, get out of here!”
I saw the girl drop her weapon and duck behind a car several feet to the side. As the demon made a move to dodge, my hands shot out a large beam of concentrated magic. The doppelganger screamed as it was engulfed in white, and I could barely make out its form being shredded to bits little by little. It was taking a toll on my body, but I tried to keep it up. I pushed my body forward, increasing the force of my magic. I saw the demon stumble, and before long I saw no trace of her, not even an outline in all that white.
“Sunset!” I heard Twilight call out to me. “She’s gone! Please stop!”
As if reacting to her command, my body eased itself. Finally, I seized my assault and the magic dissipated from my hands. The energy I felt within grew fainter, and then, just as before, the magic is dormant. It was at that moment when fatigue hit my whole being. Hard. I struggled to steady myself, but alas, my body gave in.
My vision blurred as I neared the concrete ground. The last thing I heard and saw was Twilight yelling my name, as well as her hazy figure running up to me.
Author's Note
So here's the next chapter. To those who actually like this story, sorry for the long wait. Was caught up with work and the like. Note that starting Chapter Two, the narrative will no longer be first-person. While it was a good idea at the time (for me anyway), it felt a little restraining. But Sunset WILL still be interacting with us. So those of you who liked the fourth-wall-demolishing piece of hotness, she's here to stay.
