The Mane-Iac Chronicles : Rise of The Mane-Iac
““Yet another beautiful morning, the pegasi never fail to impress.” thought Twilight Sparkle while she had a sip of her tea while reading an issue of Equestria daily. Nothing in the paper caught her attention, so she got up and threw the issue in a recycling bin. After she finished her morning tea, she trotted over to her throne room to check to see if their was anything on the map that required her or one of her fellow elements of harmonies attention. Nothing on the map was out of the ordinary, and everything seemed to be in order. She was relieved, and left her throne room to go fetch Spike from his slumber.
As she approached Spikes room, she could hear the little dragon snoring from inside the room. She chuckled to herself and entered spikes room, using her magic, she opened the curtains to reveal celestia's sun to the dark room and to wake up Spike.
“Hey Spike, it’s time to get up.” Twilight said in a normal/calm voice. The baby dragon groaned and covered his face with a pillow.
“Ah, come on Twilight, five more minutes.” said the sleepy dragon.
“No can do Spike, we got stuff to do today and I’ll need your assistance. I told you this last night before you went to bed… You were reading comics all night, weren’t you Spike?”
“Ugh, no I wasn’t. I was out like a light…”
“Really? Then what’s this?” asked Twilight who held up a issue of power ponies, that she found at the edge of Spikes bed.
“ *sigh* fine, I’ll get up.” said a defeated/annoyed Spike who slowly got out of bed.
“Don’t worry Spike, maybe one day you’ll learn to go to bed on time.”
“That’s funny, seeing as you would do the same thing as I did with reading late.”
“Maybe, but those were at times when I knew that we didn’t have anything important to do the following morning like today.”
“What exactly do we have today that requires you to wake me up this early in the morning anyways?”
“We have that meeting with the ceo of RainTech. They want to expand their business in one of the Rainbow Factories, but need royal permission to do so, aside from me, Luna, Celestia, and Candace to sign off on whatever expansion that they want, we also need to go and meet with them personally for them to show and explain what the expansion will be and how will it affect the weather production.”
“Okay, well why am I needed?”
“Because I need to keep track of what the ceo says, after he’s done explaining, I’ll go over what you wrote down and make a final decision of whether to agree or disagree with the project. We don’t need another long winter due to that accident a couple of months back because of a faulty mechanism in that factory that they recently opened at the time, now do we?”
“Fine, you made your point. I’ll get myself ready and meet you in the main hall when I’m set to go. Sorry if I disappointed you by sleeping in and staying up all night to read.”
“Don’t worry Spike, I understand. Now be quick, I’ll be waiting in the main hall.” said Twilight, who then left Spikes room for him to get himself ready.
After Twilight left Spikes room, she went to her own to make sure she looked presentable. After tweaking her mane, she made her way to the main hall where Spike was awaiting her.
“There you are, where were you?” asked Spike.
“It’s nothing, I was just making sure that looked like I didn’t just roll out of bed. You know, mare stuff.”
“Whatever, let’s get going.”
“You got everything?”
“Yup, everything that I’ll need is in here.” said Spike while pointing at his satchel he just picked up that was hanging from the chair he was sitting in while waiting for Twilight.
“Okay then, let’s get going.” said Twilight, and with that they walked outside. Twilight let Spike get on her back, and Twilight started to fly towards Cloudesdale.
While on their way to Cloudesdale, they came across a few pegasi who were attending to a few clouds. One of the Pegasi, Rainbow Dash, Notice Twilight and Spike flying by and waved them over to say hello.
“Hey Twilight, Spike, what are you guys doing?” asked Rainbow Dash while she attending to a cloud
“We are on our way to Cloudesdale to meet with your boss on that new factory that he wants to develop.” answered Twilight.
“Oh yeah, I forgot. He told everypony this morning that he’ll be meeting you and didn’t want any interruptions from ponies like me and my fellow pegasi, isn’t that right guys?! calling over to her fellow pegasi, Thunderlane, Derpy, and Fluffy Clouds. All of which groaned due to being tired from work and annoyed by Rainbow Dash.
“Well me and Spike gotta get going, I don’t want this to take all day. I’ll come find you after we’re done and we can go for a hayburger.” proposed Twilight.
“Sounds good, I’ll see you then. See you later Twilight and Spike.” said Rainbow Dash, while flying back to her cloud to continue her work.
Teen minutes of flying later, Twilight and Spike arrives in Cloudsdale where they were greeted by a few pegasi as they made their way to the rainbow factory. A few minutes later, they arrived with being greeted at the doors by the ceo of raintech/the owner of the factories.
“Ah, Mrs. Sparkles. So good to meet you, I’m Filthy Rich. Welcome to the Rainbow Factory.”
“Thank you, I’m glad to be here. If you don’t mind, my assistant here will be accompanying us while on our tour. If you don’t mind, of course.” said Twilight who pointed at Spike, who was getting his writing equipment ready to take notes.
“Not a problem Mrs. Sparkles, now please follow me and I’ll discuss the location of where we want to build an addition to the factory.” said Filthy Rich who began to walk with Twilight and Spike, beginning the tour and explaining the purpose of the new plant that they want to build.
