"D-did you r-really mean that Pinkie? From the o-other day?", Fluttershy asked the pink mare, wondering if it was just a dream.

"Well duh! Why wouldn't all your little critters have helped you these past two days?", Pinkie said as she grinned widely at her timid friend. Fluttershy blushed, she didn't think she actually meant it! She gave a sheepish smile to her pink friend as they walked to Sugar Cube corner. When they entered, they were greeted by two little foals, Pumpkin Cake and Pound Cake. They looked at the two big ponies in wonder, looking at their features. Pinkie and Fluttershy both giggled and headed to the stairs.

"Oh hi there Miss Fluttershy and Pinkie!", they heard Mrs. Cake say, "What brings you two here?"

"Hi Mrs. Cake! I was just gonna show Fluttershy here something in my room!", Pinkie said, smiling in excitement.

"I-If that's ok with you, Mrs. Cake?", asked Fluttershy, smiling shyly at the shop owner. Mrs. Cake waved a hoof and said, "Oh, go ahead, dears! It's no trouble at all!"

The two went upstairs and into Pinkie's room. When they got there and opened the door, however, Fluttershy saw a cake on a small coffee table that said, 'I love you Fluttershy and I hope we can be more than friends!' Fluttershy was shocked, she didn't expect this!
She turned to see Pinkie with a cheerful grin on her muzzle.

"P-Pinkie, I-I didn't know yo-", but she was cut off as a pair of pink, sweet lips connected with the yellow pegasus's. Fluttershy's eyes almost popped out of her head, but she melted in pure bliss and ecstasy as she closed her turquoise eyes. She was in pure heaven at this point, and her wings were flared out at her sides, her light pink feather tips quivering from the excitement. Pinkie was also enjoying the kiss, savoring the sweet softness of the mare's lips. They pulled apart and Flutters had a goofy grin on her face.

"Ohmygoodness ohmygoodness ohmygoodness!", Fluttershy said as she cover her muzzle with her front, light pink hooves. Pinkie just laughed hysterically at her friend's goofy smile, rolling on her back on the floor. Her laugh turned into giggling fits as she tried to calm herself down.

"Hehehe, didn't expect that, huh Shy?", she said between her giggles, watching Fluttershy blush bright scarlet. Flutters shook her head, still having that crazy smile on her muzzle, "I-I didn't know you felt l-like that about m-me."

"Well of course I do silly filly! You've always been super-duper cute in my eyes!", said Pinkie, making the timid mare blush and hide behind her long, pink mane like she usually did when she was more shy around others. Pinkie opened her forlegs out in a hug, and Fluttershy accepted, embracing the giddy mare in a warm, delicate hug. They stayed like that for what felt like an eternity, until they broke their embrace and smiled tenderly at each other.

"So... what now?", Fluttershy asked, tilting her head at her new marefriend.

"Now!", she said, turning towards the cake, "We eat!"

With their bellies full of cake, they watched the sunset out the window, watching it lower over the horizen and giving off a faint glow. They sighed in contentment, grinning and holding each other. When the sun had finally gone, and Luna's moon had risen, they slept together in Pinkie's bed. They cuddled closely together, feeling each other's warmth and love. They drifted off to sleep with happy and contented smiles on their faces, and a little frosting on Pinkie's muzzle.
