Don't Mess with Fluttershy's Mare

In her castle Twilight was pacing back and forth, wondering where Starlight was. She looked out the window watching for her and sighed, "Where is she? She should have been back by now."

Spike commented, "Twilight, I'm sure she's probably still with Fluttershy. You know with them being engaged now, they'll likely spend more time together for supper."

Twilight sighed, "Clear up until nine? What could they possibly be up to?"

Spike laughed, "Well maybe......"

Twilight snapped, "No Spike. I know how both of them are. Neither one of them would do anything like that until they are married." Her pacing became more frantic as she continued, "Wait, I hope Sunburst didn't do something to them. He approached Starlight earlier today wanting to get back in her life but she rejected him and let him know she was taken."

Spike asked, "Who's Sunburst?"

Twilight replied, "Some colt that was Starlight's friend when she was a filly." Twilight had a nervous feeling and continued, "You stay here Spike while I go check on Starlight and Fluttershy."

Twilight raced over towards Fluttershy's cottage worried about what she might discover, until she realized that Starlight could easily overpower him if she needed to and remembered the stories about what Fluttershy will do to ponies that piss her off. She thought to herself, "What if Fluttershy saw Sunburst grab Starlight's flank and decided to kill him? What if Starlight joined her?"

When she arrived she heard laughing coming from the forest. She headed towards the laughing and found the two walking out of the forest with honey and a shovel. She saw them and first decided she would ask Starlight why she had not came back to the castle. She asked, "Starlight, where have you been? You should have been back a couple hours ago."

Starlight had a stunned look on her face, the type of look that a filly would have if her teacher caught her playing hooky. She replied, "Well um, Fluttershy and I just wanted to spend extra time together since we're engaged now."

Twilight narrowed her focus onto the honey and the shovel. She asked, "I figured that but what were you doing with honey and a shovel in the forest?"

While Starlight was afraid to tell the truth because of what the repercussions could be, Fluttershy figured it would be best to at least tell a bit of truth. She replied, "Well we had to take care of a problem, something that was causing Starlight a lot of undue stress."

Immediately Twilight knew what happened. She began to panic, "Oh no-no-no, this is bad, this is very bad! Please don't tell me, please don't tell me you killed Sunburst."

Both of them got sheepish grins on their faces and in unison they nodded their heads. Twilight continued, "Show me. Show me what you did to him."

Starlight replied, "Ok Twilight, we'll show you."

The three mares headed back into the forest. Since it was pitch dark, both Starlight and Twilight used their horns to create some light. Finally they reached the place where they had buried Sunburst. Twilight saw a pile of dirt and asked, "What the hay did you two do to him? Why is there a pile of dirt there."

Starlight replied, "You'll see." She sighed and continued, "You may want to stand back as I dig him up, I will likely make some fire ants very angry."

Twilight stood back and yelled, "What? Fire ants? You used the technique the buffalo used to use, didn't you?"

Fluttershy nodded as Starlight began to dig the body up. When she uncovered the head Twilight was stunned. She saw a head with numerous bite marks and had ants crawling in and out of it. As Starlight continued to dig him up the ants became more agitated. Twilight continued, "Fluttershy, can you get them to calm down?"

Fluttershy flew over and began to talk to the ants, letting them know that they need to calm down and almost immediately, they had become docile and were not a threat to the three. Finally Starlight exhumed his whole body and when Twilight saw the bruises from the beating, the missing teeth and the label on him, she gasped, "What?"

Fluttershy replied, "Well, he had to be punished for touching my fiance's flank! I couldn't let him get away with this."

Twilight yelled, "But you didn't have to carve a word into him! That is just barbaric!"

Fluttershy replied, "Well I was reading a story about a psychotic dentist that would torture her patients and she would mark her patients. I just thought it would be fun."

Twilight had a horrified look on her face. She never imagined that Fluttershy would be this brutal. She asked, "Fluttershy, is what I have heard from Rarity and Applejack true? Have you tortured other ponies to death?"

Fluttershy replied, "Uhm, yeah." She became more stern as she continued, "Look, the ponies I did that to were being mean to animals and this colt dared to touch my fiance! What would you have me do, let them get away with it?"

Twilight screamed, "But Fluttershy, murder is against the law and so is torture!" She looked at Starlight and continued, "And Starlight, I thought you would know not to do anything bad! I thought you would know that doing anything wrong might cause Celestia to banish you to the moon or put you in Tartarus after what you've done in your past!"

Fluttershy interrupted, "Twilight, we had to do something! I know at first Starlight was a bit nervous about doing this but I couldn't let him bother her anymore!"

Twilight turned to Starlight and asked, "Is this true? Were you nervous at first?"

Starlight replied, "Sort of. I was a bit worried that I might get punished but I wanted him to leave me alone and Fluttershy helped me realize that this was the only option."

Very quickly Twilight knew that had Fluttershy not decided to do this, that Starlight likely would have just avoided Sunburst. While she knew that they should be punished, she just couldn't bring herself to do it. She said, "Well, I know I should punish you two but I'm not going to. Fluttershy, you are a good friend and Starlight, I have seen how you have grown. Yes this is a setback for you but I honestly believe that had Fluttershy not wanted you to help her, he wouldn't be dead. Am I right?"

Starlight replied, "Yes, that is true. I just wanted to avoid him but when I saw Fluttershy had foalnapped him and was holding him captive, I wanted to help her get rid of him."

Twilight pointed at the shovel and ordered, "Starlight, could you dig an extremely deep hole. I think it would be best if we buried him deep."

Fluttershy asked, "So I take it this is just going to be between the three of us?"

Twilight replied, "Yes, this is just going to be between the three of us. After tonight, I don't want us to ever discuss this again....not even to one another. We need to bury this as we bury him."

Both mares nodded as Starlight continued to dig a deeper and deeper hole. Finally once it was ten feet deep, Twilight levitated Sunburst's corpse and lowered it into the hole. Starlight then filled the hole, feeling a sense of relief that neither her or her fiance would be punished by Twilight. As they headed back Twilight said, "After all this I'm thinking you two should really consider your futures."

Both mares nervously asked, "Really?"

Twilight replied, "Yes, really. I'm thinking it might be best if you two get married as soon as possible." She gave Starlight a stern look and continued, "Look, I'll continue to teach you about friendship but I think you'll be happier if you live with Fluttershy and I honestly don't know if I want a pony involved in murdering somepony else living in my castle."

Starlight replied, "But you know I would nev....."

Twilight interrupted, "I know you have grown and would never harm me but I simply think you two should get married as soon as possible so you will live together. Besides, if most of your time is spent with her, maybe you'll be able to focus on your studies instead of daydreaming about Fluttershy all the time."

Fluttershy kissed Starlight and asked, "Really, she daydreams about me all the time?"

Twilight replied, "Yes. She daydreams about you a lot and when we have our meals the only thing she talks about is you and her love for you."

Fluttershy hugged Starlight and said, "I love you so much! It makes me so happy to know that you think about me so much."

Starlight replied, "Well I love you dearly sweetie. I can't imagine living life without you."

Twilight gagged, "Ugh....can you save all the lovey dovey stuff for later."

They both nodded and headed back towards town. Twilight continued, "Look, I'll help you two file the proper papers and you could get married as soon as tomorrow if you want."

They both embraced and jubilantly agreed to Twilight's plan. Once they got back to Ponyville Fluttershy headed to her cottage while Starlight and Twilight headed back to the castle, where Starlight would spend one more night before beginning a new phase of her life, one that she knew would bring about a lifetime of happiness.
