London Monitor in Equestria
Chapter 15
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"Oh man that was some dinner!" exclaimed John as he walked out the doors of the dining room.
"Well yeah, if you love to eat vegetables that is" Erwin shot back.
"Come on guys, at least we had something to eat" protested Bobby.
"Guys, guys. Forget the food, where are we gonna sleep?" asked Hans.
"I might be able to take care of that" answered Twilight as she trotted out of the door.
"Follow me and I'll lead you to a better room" began Twilight as she started trotting down the hallway.
Thinking of no better way, the rest of the group followed Twilight around the palace. While on the way, the rest of the members were amazed by the design of such a place. Except for Kessler, who already saw this about a dozen times.
"Well here we are" proclaimed Twilight as she stopped at a huge set of doors.
"Right lads, lets see whats inside" began Kessler as he pushed the doors open. He wasn't prepared for what he saw inside. The room was lavishly decorated with some of the finest materials that seemed to exist in great numbers on this planet. The curtains were made from fine silk and was imported from another country, there were six beds, which were made out of fine wood from the forest of the far east, the floors were lined with a special type of carpet that made it seem like you were walking in a gigantic pillow. The walls were neatly painted and there were even bathrooms in the grand room. Each of them being decorated lavishly.
"Jeez, am I in heaven?" exclaimed Victor as he felt the carpet with his hands.
"Nope, more like paradise" answered Kessler.
"Man I so wan to sleep yet I don't know where!" yelled Hans.
"Well I guess Erwin would be itching to get out of his armour now, right Erwin? Erwin?" asked Bobby as he looked around for the fire trooper.
The squad immediately found Erwin, who was sprawled on the bed fast asleep. It seemed that he wasted no time whatsoever in removing his armour and going straight to bed.
"Sheesh talk about dignity" scoffed Victor.
"Ah let him be, were all beat after all" sighed Kessler as he landed in his respective bed. As the rest of the squad took up their own beds, the rest of them took off their armour and weapons and put them to one side as each of them laid down in their all so comfortable beds.
"Ah I don't want to leave" proclaimed Victor a he imagined himself swimming in the bed.
"I...*yawn. Im going to be guys, night" yawned Hans as he went to sleep.
Well Ill leave you to your things then, if anything I must be retiring to my room as well. Hope you enjoy the room and if you need anything, just ask the guards" informed Twilight as she exited the room and closed the doors.
"Huh well that settles it, I'm going to bed too" said Bobby.
As the rest of the squad went to sleep, their minds drifted of to the dream realm and their bodies now took a much needed rest.
"Princess, we have managed to replicate more of the guns. It seems we can distribute at least 15 to some Royal Guards for training" informed a unicorn wearing a lab coat.
"Good, and how long until we can mass produce them?" asked Celestia.
"By the end of this week we can have at least 50 guns"
"Good"
"Princess, there hasn't been any enemy movement for the past few hours. Something is not right" reported a Stallion.
"Continue observation between the fronts" ordered Celestia.
As Celestia watched over the operations in the war room, she pondered on who will teach the stallions on how to shoot the new weapons. That was an idea popped in her head.
"Maybe Ill ask Kessler to train them" though Celestia.
"Ughh" groaned Kessler as he sat up in his bed.
"Well your up early" commented Hans as he stood near the balcony doors and was looking outside.
"Well whats wrong with waking up early?" asked Kessler
"Nothing really" replied Hans.
As Kessler looked around the room, he and Hans were the only ones awake. The rest of the squad was busy sleeping their ass's off that they didn't realise that morning had come. He decided to take a new course of action and thought that his squad shouldn't slack off. He went to the bathroom and filled up the bucket with cold water, he went outside and threw the contents of the bucket inside towards Erwin. Erwin awoke with a scream as the cold water splashed over his face.
"Holy shit! Fuck! Shit! Its fucking cold" shuddered Erwin as he wrapped his arms around his body.
The rest of the squad woke up to the screaming and wondered what it was all about. They only saw a drenched Erwin.
"What the hell! I'm wet and I have no clothes!" yelled Erwin.
"Shut up ya lazy dolt, all of you get up. Were going to do some fresh exercise, don't complain, Ill be joining you as well. And Erwin, there is fresh clothing in the pod. You can only get it after were done" said Kessler.
"Ugh, fine" grumbled Erwin.
"Aww not this again" groaned Victor.
"And here I thought we'll be given a break from the harsh exercises back in London" grumbled Bobby.
"Come on lets move!" barked Kessler as he walked out the door.
As the squad moved to the royal fields for their exercise. Hans noticed that the area was still quiet.
"Its still quiet" mused Hans.
"Probably sleeping" answered John.
As the squad finally arrived at the door. Kessler pushed it open and was met with the bright rays of the sun. It looked majestic during the morning as its rays touched the grass and its surroundings. It wasn't too hot nor cold, it was just perfect.
"All right here's the routine. Every morning were gonna do this, and thats final so don't but in" informed Kessler as he looked at the members who all nodded.
"We'll do 20 laps around this field and 80 pushups. After the pushups its 80 curl ups, then another 20 laps around the field. Got it?" asked Kessler.
The squad responded by saying in unison.
"YES SIR!"
"Good lets move" ordered Kessler as he broke into a sprint and was followed by the rest of the squad.
As Celestia watched from her balcony at the exercising men, she couldn't help but stifle a laugh. She still pondered about asking Kessler and his men to train her troops. Normally Luna would be in charge of that, but she is occupied with other things.
"Guess Ill ask him later" thought Celestia as she wen't back inside her room.
"So how ya feelin Twilight?" asked Applejack as she and the rest of their friends busily sat around a cafe table.
"I told I'm Aj, you don't need to worry about me. Besides with those humans around, nothing bad can happen" answered Twilight.
"When I see those stallions, Ill make sure to give them a good beating" growled Rainbow as she slammed her hoofs together.
"Theres no need for that, from what I heard their long gone" smiled Twilight sheepishly.
Twilight shuddered as she remembered the scene where the stallion was completely blown away by that strange weapon, she wanted to ask Kessler what it was, but decided it should be for the future.
"Are you ok darling?" asked Rarity with a concerned look.
"Oh its nothing I just spaced out for a bit" replied Twilight sheepishly.
As the rest of them talked about their daily lives and future plans. They completely forgot about the incident, like it never happened.
"All right thats it I did all the exercises" huffed Erwin as he looked at Kessler with a tired look.
"All right, head on over to the pod and search the extra lockers, there should be an extra pair of standard uniforms in one of them" informed Kessler.
Erwin nodded at the information and walked off towards the pod. Kessler looked at the remaining members who were all sprawled on the grass and panting rapidly for air.
"Well that was fun, don't you think?" joked Kessler.
"Not funny" answered Victor.
"Ah well we get used to this shit, at least it isn't broadway barracks where we have to do exercises plus firearms exercise without breakfast for at least 5 hours" commented Hans.
"That I can agree on" replied Victor.
"Excuse me, I hope I'm not interrupting anything am I?" spoke a Motherly voice.
Kessler spun around and saw that Celestia was standing behind him.
"Oh not at all Princess. What dis you come here for? A mission perhaps?" asked Kessler.
"No its not that, you see I have a favour to ask. Would you be kind enough to train my troops in handling these so called guns?" asked Celestia.
"Well, sure. Why not, we have John and Erwin who are the gun experts on the team. They should prove useful, what time then?" answered Kessler.
"Excellent, meet me at the barracks. Just ask the guards outside the dining room door and they should lead you too the barracks" replied Celestia, who then teleported away.
"All right you lot. Guess we'll teach these ponies on how to use firearms" ordered Kessler,"but first, breakfast"
The team sighed in joy as the heard they were going to have breakfast.
As the team walked to the dining room, Hans filled Erwin in on his new job when he wasn't present during the discussion.
"Alright, Ill have a look at their weapons and see what I can do" replied Erwin.
As the group ate their breakfast they immediately went outside and asked the guard to show them to the barracks. The guard was skeptical at first but then decided it was alright as he led them outside of the palace. As the group wen't downhill and through some areas of the city, they arrived at some sort of barracks thats was stationed her for strategic purposes.
"Well quite a place they got here" remarked Erwin as he looked at the gates.
"Eh lets get this over with" grumbled John.
As the gates opened, they walked around to an open field and saw targets already lined up. There were guns already placed by what seemed to be sandbags and stallions were busy checking them. Celestia stood by in the tower and was watching over things.
"Ah thank you for coming" shouted Celestia.
"No problem" replied Kessler.
As Celestia teleported down for a closer and more appropiate greeting. She also wanted to see how these weapons work.
"Erwin get to work" ordered Kessler. Erwin merely responded by picking up one of the rifles and examined it. Its design was fairly similar to that of a BAR rifle. Long and sleek in design it was quite big.
"Looks similar to a BAR sir" replied Erwin.
Erwin dropped down the magazine and examined the bullets. Apparently they were that of a .45 caliber.
"Looks like they use a .45 caliber bullets sir" informed Erwin.
"Continue" replied Kessler.
As Erwin loaded in the magazine, he cocked the rifle and aimed down the sights, he breathed for a bit and pulled the trigger which was satisfied with a loud bang, as the bullet flew straight towards the target dummy and tore right through it.
"Well I get the users are for ponies, but it shouldn't be a problem to teach them. The firing mechanism is the same for all guns. So no problem there" informed Erwin as he put the rifle back down and walked over to Kessler.
"Good, you and John can teach them how to use it since you know more than us" ordered Kessler.
"Yes sir" replied Erwin,"Hey John, get a rifle, I'll gather some ponies to teach so they can pass it on to their friends"
"Will do" replied John as he picked up the BAR like gun.
"I want to thank you for your service Kessler" said Celestia.
"No need to thank me, after all. I am always willing to help, both me and my squad" replied Kessler.
As the day slowly crept by, the hours of yelling and teaching finally paid off as the 15 stallions who learnt how to shoot, load and maintain a gun finally passed the learning stage as they all knew how to shoot their new toys. As the stallions went on to teaching their comrades on how to use this weapon. Wolfpack squad left the area and headed on back to the palace to have dinner.
"Man I'm beat" groaned Erwin as he sat down in the chair.
"Training them was harder than I thought, especially trying to shoot with hoofs is a pain in the arse. Those with horns and can levitate shit have no problem at all, but those with wings and normal anatomies are hard as fuck" commented John.
"Well at least they know how to defend themselves now" commented Kessler.
"At least" replied Victor.
As the group ate in silence, conversations would happen now and them but would end quickly. As the group started finishing one by one they waited for their last member to finish before proceeding back to their rooms. Some wanted to sleep directly while others were going to look at the night sky.
"Don't forget, tomorrow is another exercise day" reminded Kessler, before he exited the room and walked to the balcony. He stared at the stars and wondered what sort of life London was having now with him gone.
