London Monitor in Equestria
Chapter 16
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"Get up boys! Time to exercise!" yelled Kessler at his squad.
"Oh shit!" groaned Hans as he rolled off the bed and landed on the floor.
"Argh shit I'm awake" informed Victor.
"Same here" came John.
"Don't forget me" said a sleepy Bobby.
"Me too" replied Erwin.
"Good lets get going" began Kessler, as he and his squad proceeded to the royal fields.
After doing their daily exercise, the men were all sweaty and hungry. They proceeded to the dining room to have breakfast and headed back to their room to have a clean shower.
"Well I smell better now" said Hans, as he sniffed his body, which smelt like flowers.
"Eh" replied Erwin, who was still wiping his hair.
"So are we going to do anything today?" asked Victor.
"Nah don't think so" replied Kessler.
"Well if thats the case, then me and John will clean our weapons" began Erwin as grabbed his belt fed shotgun.
"Fine by me" answered Kessler.
"Princess! One of our scouting teams have returned from Griffon territories an have found a fairly large camp containing supplies for the Griffon army" informed a pegasus wearing a black cloak.
"Very good Captain, anything else?" asked Luna.
"If we can destroy this camp, we can cripple their supply lines for this front and weaken their advance"
"Thank you Captain, I shall inform my sister about this" replied Luna before the hidden pony left.
Luna cast a teleportation spell and teleported to the throne room in which her sister was busy reading reports in.
"Oh Luna, what brings you here?" asked Celestia as she busily scanned the papers.
"Our scouts have found an enemy supply line that is vital for their army in the north" informed Luna.
"Well thats something, but how do you plan to take it out?" asked Celstia curiously.
"I actually plan to use the humans sister"
"Say what? Luna, you know that its not right to ask them for any more jobs. Especially those that put their lives in risk" said Celestia angrily.
"But Tia, they are the only ones that can do it. If we wait for our new guns to be assembled, the enemy might attack us and we will lose the north" answered Luna.
Celestia pondered at the idea, as much as she wanted too. She did not want to use Kessler's squad again, she did not want them to die for a cause that doesn't even involve them. After thinking for a hard time, Celestis sighed in agreement.
"Fine Luna, you may ask. But, if one of them dies, you are held responsible" said Celestia grimly.
"I promise you that will not happen" replied Luna as she teleported out of the area.
As Luna teleported outside the room of the humans, she was hesitant at first but decided to knock anyway.
*knock knock
"Oh looks like someones at the door" began Kessler as he walked towards it.
Kessler opened the door and was expecting to see a guard or some pony, instead he was greeted by Princess Luna.
"Oh Princess! What brings you here?" asked Kessler.
"May I come in?" she asked.
"Sure" he answered as he stepped to one side to let her in.
As Kessler shut the door he walked to where his teammates were.
"So what is it now Princess?" asked Hans.
"If it is of no trouble, I would like to ask you to go on a very dangerous mission. One that might halt the enemy advancement for awhile"
"Well why not, were bored anyway. Might as well do something" answered Kessler as he looked at his teammates who all gave a positive look.
"Wonderful! Well your mission is to go behind enemy lines and destroy a supply camp that they so heavily depend on. Destroying this camp will stop all operations in the northern front for a couple of weeks, which gives us enough time to arm our troops and begin our first counter attack" informed Luna.
"AW YEAH!!" exclaimed John as he put his fists up in the air, "FINALLY!! I GET TO BLOW STUFF UP!"
"Calm down Johnny boy, were not here yet" replied Erwin.
"So where is this camp Princess?" asked Victor.
Luna summoned a map from the war room and it instantly materialised in front of them.
"This is the spot" pointed Luna with a hoof at a encircled part of the map.
"Well, thats quite deep in enemy territory" commented Bobby.
"Well no problem for us, we go in hard and shoot everything. If enemy reinforcements show up, we can just call in the Guard Robots. Right Sir?" asked John.
"Well yeah, but I wan't to try a more stealthier approach. We sneak into the base, position ourselves at vital points. And go in with a bang, catching the enemy off guard. We sweep the area clean and wipe out any supplies. If the enemy has explosives, we detonate them" said Kessler with a determined look.
"I can agree on that" replied John.
"Princess, If you don't mind me. I shall borrow this map so that I can program the pod's destination. If you may, can you send a scout back there. I shall let a drone from the Monitor observe the place" said Kessler.
"Why sure, I shall contact the scouts that were there" said Luna before disappearing.
"All right boys! New mission, get your gear together and lets wait in the fields. We're gonna go shoot some birds tonight" said Kessler.
As the squad gathered their respective weapons and armour. They all headed on out to the fields, where they began doing a check of their armour and started resupplying their ammo.
"Hows the armour and weapons looking?" asked Kessler as he approached Erwin and John.
"Weapons are fine, they should work well for the next few years" informed Erwin.
"Most of the armour were wearing is fine. Bullets don't do much, tank shells are a problem though, other than that all thins are good" informed John.
"Good, start preparing your armour and weapons. We want to completely burn the area down" said Kessler before walking over to the Monitor.
"Is the drone ready?" he spoke through the comm set.
"Yes Sir, waiting for pony guide so mission can begin" it replied.
The moment the Monitor said it was waiting for the pony guide, Princess Luna appeared with a pegasus who was wearing a black cloak and seemed to hide his face most of the time.
"Here is the guide that will show the drone the way" informed Luna.
"Hear that Monitor, get that drone fired up so we can start the mission" said Kessler.
As the Monitor launched the drone(Hornet) it decided to use the cloaking system installed onboard for this mission. And with the jet fast engines, the drone will be able to sweep the area. As the drone made its way down and hovered next to Kessler, Kessler decided to explain what it was and what it will do.
"This here is a Mk 2 Drone, it is equipped with the latest stealth technology and can be used to scout out enemy locations. It is equipped with weapons, which makes it deadly since it can be used to assassinate targets," he looked at the pegasus, who seemed to understand him before continuing, "anyway moving on to the mission, you will just guide the drone to the area where you spotted this supply camp and we will handle the rest"
The pegasus nodded and looked at Princess Luna before taking flight. As the pegasus started to fly off towards the northern front, the drone followed closely behind with its silent engines.
"Well now we wait" said Kessler.
"I must be leaving now" said Luna before she teleported away.
"So what do we do in the meantime?" asked Victor.
"We wait, if you have nothing to do. Just double check your equipment" informed Kessler.
As the hours lingered by, Kessler decided to put on his armour with his standard load out while waiting. It wasn't long before the Monitor contacted Kessler through the comm set.
"Sir I have arrived at the area and have done a full sweep. It seems the area is located at the base of the mountain, meaning you might get an advantage when you approach them through the mountain. The camp itself seems to be at least 1.5km wide, shouldn't be enough trouble to destroy everything. There seems to be an ammunitions depot in the middle of the area, which might prove useful in destroying the place. There seems to be an office on the other side which might contain important files, might want to check it out. There is about at least 200 personnel in the camp. I recommend stealth entry before engaging the enemy, head on. They have a tank in there, so I recommend you exercise caution sir" it informed.
"Thank you for the info Monitor, Ill use your laser blaster and stealth tec to maybe destroy the tank" replied Kessler.
"Will do sir" it said.
"Alright men, time to pack your things an head on in to the pod"
As the squad grabbed their kits and weapons off the ground, they then headed on inside while Kessler was the last one to enter. As the pod rose into the air, the occupants checked everything, from ammo to weapons to everything they would use during this mission.
"7 hours until destination" came the P.A.
"Jeez thats quite a long trip" remarked Victor, who sat down in one of the seats.
"Well better get some rest, your gonna need it later" informed Kessler.
"Sir, what time is it?" asked Bobby.
Kessler looked around for a watch but found none, instead he radioed in the Monitor for a time check.
"Monitor, time check please"
"7:50" it replied.
"Thanks"
"Bobby, its 7:50" informed Kessler.
"So around 2:50 am in the morning we'll begin the fireworks" mused Bobby.
"All right get some rest" ordered Kessler as he too also dozed off.
As the pod flew through the silent night towards enemy territory, little did the enemy know that they were going to get one hell of a surprise.
"Activating stealth approach, dropping to lower levels. Brace for minor turbulence" came the P.A, as the occupants started to stir.
"I swear, that thing is starting to tick me off" groaned John.
"You'll get used to it cry baby" replied Victor.
"20 seconds till landing"
"Shit! Everybody, prepare to clear the LZ when we land, the moment we touch down its do or die" barked Kessler, as the squad scrambled to their respective positions.
"5 seconds till landin, 4,3,2,1 GO!"
Kessler was the first one to exit the shuttle when the door opened and did a front roll and went prone after finishing his roll. The rest of the squad scrambled out the door one by one and crouched down with their guns pointed in many directions.
"All clear" said Kessler as he stood up.
The pod powered itself down lessen its presence and not get noticed by any flying creatures.
"All right, we'll climb that mountain and see what we got" began Kessler as he started moving.
The squad reached the top of the mountain, or at least the side of it, Kessler spotted a ledge that overlooks the compound and slowly made his way over there with the rest slowly following behind.
"All right, we're here" said Kessler while looking at the camp.
"What now?" asked Hans.
"Well, I spot the ammunition depot over there in the middle, and I see the office that directly communicates with the rest of the army. May e we might find some files there" answered Kessler.
"So how do we get in?" asked Bobby.
"Right, heres the plan. Bobby will stay on this ridge and snipe those bird maggots up in the tower," he looked at Bobby, "I need you to take them out as fast as possible so we won't have any problems"
"Yes sir" replied Bobby.
"Alright, once the towers have been cleared, Bobby will continue to provide sniper support while we breach the area. When we arrive at the office, I want Erwin to clear the area while we keep watch. After clearing out the area, we snatch any files that are of value and head immediately around the camp. Switch to rockets to ensure maximum damage to whatever supplies. See those fuel tanks and boxes? Blow the crap out of them. Shoot everything in sight, after clearing out the the supplies that are far away from the ammunition depot. Head on over back here and unload the remaining rockets into that depot. Lets hope we can blow it sky high. If that storage doesn't contain any explosives, we will drop in the robots and let them finish the task at hand. Got it?" asked Kessler as he looked at the group.
"Yes sir!" whispered the squad.
"Alright lets move out!" said Kessler.
As Bobby took up position on the ledge, he kept a keen view around his surroundings to see if any griffon would sneak up on him. He peered through the scope and spotted the squad in a thick bush, just near the first tower. He scanned the rest of the towers and counted four total targets. He waited for the squad to move into position at the gate, once they reached the gate, he pulled the trigger and killed the first griffon. The bullet caused wide state panic and he wasted no time in killing the rest of the targets, after successfully eliminating them all, he watched over his team as they made it all the way to the office.
Kessler and the rest of his men wasted no time in getting past the gate, they rushed straight towards the office guns blazing. As Kessler aimed his rifle left and right and trying to spot targets, he saw a griffon hiding between a stack of boxes and he unloaded his gun into it as the bullets went through the thin wood. As the rest of his team was busy blasting away, they finally made their way to the office. Kessler, Hans, Victor and John took up defensive positions while Erwin was busy clearing out the office Building.
Erwin set his ammo type to ricocheting ammo and kicked the door down. He fired his shotgun at the griffons inside which tore them apart instantly and killed any that was hiding behind cover. Erwin headed through the small building and went upstairs, he was instantly met with gun fire and the bullets hit his armour which caused his body to shake like it was an earthquake. The griffons finished unloading all their bullets into Erwin, but were surprised as he still stood an pointed his gun at them. Erwin wasted no time in unloading his shotgun and watched as the bastards were blown to pieces. Blood was splattered everywhere and feathers were falling as the final squeaks of their owners were blown to bits. As the room was cleared out, it wasn't short on documents as there were papers everywhere. He quickly picked up anything that resembled troop movements an stuffed them in his small backpack. He quickly slung his backpack to one side and proceeded to exit the room.
"Did you find anything papers?" yelled Kessler through the gun fire.
"Yup got them" yelled Erwin as he fired at a nearby griffon.
"Alright finish them off guys!" yelled Kessler as he unloaded all his bullets into the enemy griffons.
"Alright! John you take point because you have the heaviest armour. Blow the bastards up" ordered Kessler as they began moving to the outer supplies. John unloaded his rockets into a nearby fuel tank which caused it to set off a chain reaction to the nearby fuel tanks. As John kept on shooting boxes and griffons, he noticed they had formed a defensive circle. While he was busy blowing things up, the squad would protect them. As he continued to fire his rockets at griffons and supplies, he hit another fuel tank which killed the griffons who were hiding behind them.
Kessler kept his rifle firing at the oncoming griffons. Right now he wanted to focus on the task at hand and kill more griffons. As he looked around, he saw Hans and Victor working as a murderous pair as they both shot griffons left and right, like they knew where they were. As Kessler spun around he saw a griffon pointing his rifle at him, before he could fire, a loud whiz came from the distance and splattered the birds head clean off. Kessler said a silent thanks to Bobby and continued Moving.
As the number of griffons started to dwindle, the rest started to flee while others stayed to fight, only to be mowed down by the sheer power of the german troops. Erwin kept his shotgun firing as he shot mostly air targets, it seemed that ricocheting bullets could travel for a few meters as proven. He fired at a griffon who was hiding behind some boxes and blasted his body back, leaving a huge hole. As the squad continuously murdered everything in sight, it wasn't long before the place turned into a blood bath.
Kessler aimed his rifle and fired his remaining bullets into a griffon that was standing on top of the roof of the ammunition warehouse. He noticed they had been through a full circle and had destroyed almost everything. Seeing that the only thing left was to blow up the warehouse, he ordered his men to pull back.
"Alright, I think we've killed enough griffons for today. Lets head back and blow up this joint" ordered Kessler, the squad moved hastily out of the area.
As the squad headed towards the ledge, they finished off any stranglers who escaped the camp in cowardice. As they arrived at the ledge, the found a very tired Bobby.
"Yo, you alright?" asked Victor.
"Yeah I'm gut" replied Bobby.
"Alright lets blow this joint up" said Kessler as he aimed his rocket launcher at the warehouse.
The respective members activated their heavy weaponry an all fired at the same time, they watched their projectiles hit the warehouse, at first nothing happened. But when the rockets hit, the whole place shook due to violent explosion, as debris were sent everywhere. The whole camp itself was set on fire and the explosion literally threw nearby supplies into buildings and other parts of the camp.
The squad quickly made their way up and above the mountain to get as far away from the explosion. When they finally reached the pod, they all breathed a sigh of relief.
"MAN THAT WAS AWESOME!" yelled Erwin.
"Yeah I gotta agree with him, never thought I would have fun actually killing mythical creatures" exclaimed John.
"Well, glad you enjoyed the mission. Even though it nearly costed us our lives" remarked Victor.
"Well thats what you get when you join the German Armed Forces" replied Hans.
"Best job ever!" exclaimed Bobby.
"Alright, we can discuss this later. Lets go home boys, we have some sleep to attend too" said Kessler as he stood near the entrance.
As the squad started piling in, Kessler stepped on board an waited for the door to close. As the pod rose into the air, he wondered what sort of victory did he claim for the Equestrians.
