Normally the Friendship Castle wouldn't be full of activities except on special occasions, but since the earthquake most of the extra rooms had been turned into medical areas or were housing ponies who are waiting for their houses to be rebuilt. The Princess of Friendship had been through another tiring day of planning and ordering repairs for Ponyville.The main throne area for the six bearers had been turned into an office area. Twilight was busy sitting in her chair reading reports and filing them into cabinets. Today had been a long and tiring day.

Ever since the earthquake happened, Twilight had converted the lower halls of her castle and many of the extra rooms into living quarters for patients and families that had no homes. She was relieved when the emergency aid Celestia had given her arrived not a moment too soon. She put the Guards to work pushing aside rubble and debris of the destroyed homes to check for dead bodies or recovering trapped ponies or just simply clearing it for a new house. Twilight hoped no ponies had been killed, but to her dismay , 20 ponies had already been found dead, killed by falling debri ,many of them were families. She ordered the bodies to be buried immediatly. Ponyville had suffered major damages, more than 70% of the houses were destroyed. The only buildings that survived were Applejack's farm, which was the least affected, the School, Rarity's Boutique, Fluttershy's cottage, The Town Hall and some houses on the outskirts of town. The homeless ponies were forced to live with friends or in Twilight's castle until their original homes had been rebuilt.

Twilight sighed in relief as 3 new houses were put up today. The more houses built, the more ponies could move out of her castle, not that she didn't want them to stay or anything. Twilight looked up to see Rarity walk in with a tired look on her pretty face.

"Oh Rarity, how was your day?" asked Twilight.

"Terrible darling, I've been making new clothes for the homeless ponies and I'm all out of materials," Rarity said as she put her head down onto the table map, "How am going to supply the remaining ponies?"

"Don't worry Rarity, Ill be sure to order fresh new materials for you" said Twilight while putting the last of her files in the cabinet.

"Thanks dear, but I don't think that will be necessary" replied Rarity.

"Oh don't fret, its for the ponies remember?" said Twilight before sitting down in her chair again. She looked up to see Rainbowdash rush in with an excited look on her face.

"Twilight! (huff huff) there is something (huff huff) you must see!" exclaimed Rainbowdash before plopping down onto the floor to fully catch her breath.

"Easy now Rainbow," Twilight said as she offered Rainbowdash some water.

"Thanks" said Rainbowdash as she chugged down the contents of the glass.

"Now then what was it you saw,Rainbow dear?" asked Twilight.

"Well, I was just busy flying around Ponyville looking for any job that ponies might need help with,when I sorta got distracted and flew into the everfree forest without realizing it," said Rainbowdash as she looked at Twilight and Rarity.

"WAIT! YOU WENT INTO THE EVERFREE FOREST WITHOUT TELLING US?!" exclaimed Twilight and Rarity.

"Jeez I'm sorry! I told you I got distracted" exclaimed Rainbowdash.

"Even so-" said Twilight.

"Do you want to listen to the rest of my story?" asked Rainbowdash.

"Yes,please continue!" grumbled Twilight.

"So anyways, I was busy flying over the forest when suddenly a huge crater just appeared right in front of me." said Rainbowdash as she continued to collect her thoughts."And the crater was huge! Like a meteor came from space and crash landed, or an Ursa Major had some sorta fight with a dragon" said Rainbowdash in a very excited tone.

"So what are you trying to get at here?" asked Twilight

"Oh umm, two grey blobs were in the middle which didn't seem to move at all" said Rainbowdash.

"And?" asked Twilight in an annoyed tone.

"They looked like dogs when I got closer" replied Rainbow.

Twilight looked at her friend in surprise. "Dogs?" she asked. "Grey Dogs?, since when did dogs come in grey color? The only dog in town is Applejack's dog, Winona, and since when did Dog's start appearing in craters?"

"Umm Twilight?" asked Rarity.

"Huh? What? Oh sorry I just drifted of that is all" she smile sheepishly.

"Anyway, Rainbow here says we should go visit the crater, but I disagree" said Rarity before turning her attention back to Rainbowdash.

"I think its a good idea" replied Twilight almost instantly.

"YAHOO!!" exclaimed Rainbowdash as she jumped up in glee.

"Well that was a surprise, well if Twilight says its ok then I'm in" said Rarity.

"We should bring Fluttershy along, maybe she knows how to approach stray dogs" said Twilight.

"Good idea, Ill go get her, meet us outside her cottage and we'll begin."

"Alright, see you there" Said Twilight as she went to her room to prepare.

"I guess I should be readying my things then" said rarity as she went out the main door.

After what seemed like 10 minutes the four friends were all at Fluttershy's cottage and ready to embark on their journey. After what seemed like hours the group reached their destination after constant turns and jumps through the forest. Twilight's eyes went wide as she saw how big the crater was.

"Rainbow wasn't joking went she said it was big" thought Twilight as they stood on the edge, examining the crater. The crater seemed large enough to fit in a soccer field.

Twilight continued to scan the area until she noticed a grey object in the middle. She quickly approached it and stopped at least 1 meter away from it. She could see more clearly this time and could make out what it was. She took mental notes as she scanned the object continuously, It seemed to be made out of some sort of metal and stood on all fours like a pony or dog. It seemed to have screws or bolts over specific parts of its body, most noticeably on its legs. "Maybe it helps it move?" she thought.

The grey object also had a metal like tail at its end, which made it seem more like a dog. It had some sort of hump at its back and it sported a metal neck. Twilight soon looked at its face and noticed something odd.This creature/machine didn't have eyes. Twilight stared at it dumbfound before looking at its mouth. Apparently its mouth was metal and so were its teeth, meaning that it could literally chew through almost anything.

"What do you think it is,Twilight?" asked Fluttershy, as she stood beside her, inspecting the object.

"I have no idea Fluttershy, I was thinking you might have some sort of idea" replied Twilight.

"Oh.....ummmmm....maybe its a critter that just got lost?" Fluttershy said.

Panzerhund Schlägerei,the second grey doglike machine, had been hiding in the bushes, quietly stalking its new found targets. Panzerhund Schlägerei had been patrolling the streets of London with its partner Panzerhund Wilde when suddenly their systems failed and everything went black. Panzerhund Schlägerei found itself in the middle of a crater next to its partner Panzerhund Wilde. Unfortunately Panzerhund Wilde had not woken up yet. Panzerhund Schlägerei had tried to wake its friend up but to no avail. It scanned its surroundings (Panzerhunds don't have eyes but can still see clear as day. The reason is unknown to how they see so I'm just going to say "theoretically" they have scanners that allow them to see through their armor plating and observe their surroundings in a very clear aspect) and picked up voice signals approaching its area, instincts kicking in it ran to the nearest bush and crouched down to stalk its prey.

As Panzerhund Schlägerei continued to observe its targets in took into account what they were. Apparently they were quadruped beings which were horse shaped? No,ponies was the right term as it corrected Itself. It took into account that these "ponies" came in different colors. The one that was closest to its partner seemed to have wings and a horn. It was colored purple and was slightly larger than its friends. The one next to it seemed to have pink hair and its color was golden buttery and had wings. The one behind the two had somewhat indigo hair and a white body with a horn except it had no wings "maybe a different species" it thought.

Apparently these ponies also have fur, it took into its notes before saving it into it's memories. And finally the flying pony, this one had multicolored hair and and cyan like color for its body, it had wings similar to the yellow. That's all the targets scanned and accounted for. The Panzerhund continued to monitor the ponies until Panzerhund Wilde started to wake up.

"Umm....Twilight? What is it doing" said Fluttershy as the object started to move and growl.

"I don't know about animals that are made of metal!" exclaimed twilight as she and Fluttershy slowly backed away from the metal beast,"but it seems to be waking up!"

Panzerhund Wilde brought its systems online after what seemed like an eternity. It activated it sensors and scanned its surroundings. It turned and saw the four quadruped creatures looking at it. Quickly thinking, it activated the rest of its body and sprung to full battle mode. It tested its jaws by snapping them open and closed, this of course scared the four quadruped creatures as they quickly backed off.
"Twilight what is it doing?" asked Rarity with a worried voice.

"Just stay calm and walk back slowly" replied twilight as she and the others continued to walk back slowly, away from the beast.

Panzerhund Wilde continued to scan its targets as they backed away from him, suddenly one of the quadruped creatures started flying in the air keeping its distance from him. It continued to scan its targets when a call came through its communications line (meant for Panzerhunds to communicate during patrol missions). It was from its partner, Panzerhund Schlägerei.He Immediately turned around and spotted his partner in the bushes due to his odd signature which gave him away to his scanners. He quickly accepted the call and kept it open to future communications.

"Wilde are you ok?" asked Schlägerei.

"Yep, all systems in check" he replied.

"What about the situation with those ponies?" Schlägerei asked

"Ponies?" he asked.

"Yep,those are ponies" replied Schlägerei.

"Oh, they seem to be frightened...wait hold on, one of them is attempting to speak..be in contact with you once I'm done" said Wilde as he turned back to the ponies.

While Wilde and Schlägerei were busy conversing with each other, Fluttershy went up to it quietly and got its attention by speaking in her usual voice.

"Ummmm....excuse me? Mr Metal Dog? Ummmm.....I was ahh....ummm wondering if you were lost or maybe hurt...and uhh maybe you wanted help?" said Fluttershy in her shy voice as she questioned the metal beast.

Wilde looked at her in confusion, these so called "ponies" just talked, but he was saving every sort of data it could get out of these ponies, so he could use to his advantage next time if ever he was attacked, he also shared his data to Schlägerei so that he may also use this in combat next time.

Wilde continued to look at the yellow pony who seemed to continue asking him questions until he was interrupted by Schlägerei.

"I found something Wilde!" exclaimed Schlägerei.

"What is it?" asked Wilde.

"I found the London Monitor on my tracker!" said Schlägerei excitedly. Which was odd since Panzerhunds only felt excitement when they get given a target to kill and wasted no time in killing them.

"Where on Earth did you find that? I thought the Monitor was dead?" replied Wilde.

"Well its alive, and It just sent me its coordinates, were to rendezvous with it A.S.A.P" said Schlägerei.

"Then what do we do with these ponies then?" asked Wilde.

"Just leave them be, come on we don't wan't to keep our new commander waiting" said Schlägerei as he took off into the forest.

"Wait for me you dolt" replied Wilde as he also took off in the same direction as Schlägerei with unprecedented speed, leaving the ponies in a cloud of dust.

"Did the Panzerhunds receive the coordinates?" asked Kessler.

"Yes sir" replied the Monitor.

"Good lets wait for them and we can move out by then" said Kessler.

"Roger" was the last words said as the Monitor resumed Guard duty while Kessler went back to sleep.

Author's Note

For those who are wondering why an Ursa Major vs The London Monitor. I chose it because the rest of the other creatures were too mainstream(seriously a Manticore vs The Monitor?). I was considering pitching it against a dragon but decided the fight would end too quickly (considering the dragon would put up a fight but wouldn't laast long). Bear in mind I know how big an Ursa Major is(bigger than the Monitor). So what I did is shrunk down the Ursa major to the same height as the Monitor. So hope that cleared up somethings.

The Panzerhund's have their own set of comms that allow them to communicate which each other on the battlefield when picking off targets. Only other A.I systems can hear the conversations or converse with them. While Schlägerei and Wilde are conversing no one can actually hear them speak, so when your looking at them and they arent attacking you that means they either its talking to its ally or superior A.I commander. Though they have the ability to communicate, they don't usually converse much due to limited programming. As far as programming goes they were made to kill and obey orders and also converse plans and orders to each other when one has missed out on the details. So don't expect much conversing from these two as they are robots and have no feelings.
