I squealed and hugged my mother. Because I knew she was going to need it. She always leaves in the night and I knew she was going to need all the love she could get.

"Mother look at the picture thy drew of thou!" I exclaimed loudly with excitement. She looked up from the paper she was writing on. She motioned me knowing that I must come to her, so I did. I jumped next to her and showed her my drawing, the drawing was the moon in the sky, below the moon was me sitting on a hill gazing at the stars. She smiles and hugged me tight next to her while nuzzled my cheek.

"Time to go to sleep little one," I whined when she said that however, she picked me up with her magic causing me to float to my room.I just stood in the ceiling as she pop me to my bed

"Mother can thou please stay for thy birthday tomorrow!" She gave me an amused smile.

"We would be honored but the mother needs to go, We mu- need to have a victory. Thy must yonder to make a better future for thou, After thy's victory we shall come back for thou promise." We hugged, but once mother left I started bouncing in joy. Birthday with the mother?I was so excited that I couldn't sleep!

"I will wait for you, mother, and your return..."Mother's voice could be heard near the hallway.Before I went to sleep I smile and the teardrop drop from my eyes.I just couldn't wait for her.

-4 months later

The door opened and stallion's head popped into view.He saw me and smiled as he tries to find a nearby chair that was close to me "Greetings their little one will thou accompany me?"

I didn't know who this stallion was but I knew he must have some connection with her. 4 months....She has been gone for so long I waited and waited but she hasn't come back.I beginning to not even remember my mother"s face anymore it has just been so long...

Lots of things changed while the mother was gone...why didn't she come back di-didn't she love me...
