The Sociable

There were ponies in the room mingling with each other. They were trying to anticipate if they would get the "commanding spot". "Attention" all of them stood at attention. Then the door opened a little filly ran in the room. she hoped on the podium and stood tall and proud. She had a mini set of gold armor and she was a pegasus. She gave a gentle smile then spoke in a sweet voice "Hello every pony!"

The murmuring filled the room. "Ahh how cute!"

A mare in the front squealed.

The filly lit out a cute sneeze that made the mares in the whole room go "ahh". Then the filly spread her wings wide while still smiling. Then she grew to a young mare and her armor grew with her. Some ponies in red armor walked in and stepped onto the podium with her three on her right and three others on the left.

"Good evening ponies you are here to get recruited for your own reasons... And I wish you the best of luck." Then she muttered, "because you're going to need it." The pony's in the front row that heard the comment eyes went wide. Then the lights went out...

The crowd gasped. When the lights came back on the ponies on the podium were gone.

The crowd looked around the room but could not spot the ponies that had once been on the podium. Then they began to fall to the ground one by one. The one's that did not fall began to panic they tried to make it to the door but there was no time they would fall. Some just stood there in shock.

But one pony a unicorn she did something she didn't hesitate she ran and smashed the window. "I'm going to die right," she thought to herself. As she was descending fast something caught her. She turned her head to see what caught her it was the pegasus, filly, thing that was on stage. She was smiling at me.

"You made it kid!" They flew towards a balcony and had a gentle landing. "But now I have to take you to see a doctor!". The pegasus mare laid the unicorn on a couch gently.

"So where is the doctor?" She had cuts from the broken glass.

The pegasus happily replied with a bright smile "me silly filly!" she exclaimed.

"Ok then, fix me please."

The pegasus got a glass bottle from a shelf and brought it over. She then pulled the cork out with her teeth and hoofed over to the unicorn. The unicorn eagerly took it and gulped it down.

"So little unicorn what is your name? hmm." The unicorn hesitated before answering "Firefreeze but my friends call me Ashley."

The pegasus nodded "I am Grand Prancer... I am proud to say you passed the test and you are my second in command so to speak commander."

The unicorn just tilted her head. What! Am I the commander? what should I say... I didn't want to be the leader I like being the follower... ok play it cool, play it cool. They just stared at each other Grand Prancers smile never wavering. Then she spoke up "that easy?"

The pegasus nodded "yes indeed that was my second hardest test." The unicorn's eyes went wide. "Not to mention but you will be staying with me because I am now your mentor the rest of the ponies will be staying at the barracks. I hope you enjoy your stay."

Ashley raised a hoof "what did you do to the other ponies?"

Prancer waved a hoof "Oh you know just good old sleeping gas. Now look at yourself in the mirror and tell me what you think did my medicine do a good job or what!"

Ashley looked herself over in the mirror. "I look like, I look like, I look like nothing ever happened no cuts... no bruises... huh you sure do know your stuff."

Prancer winked "yup!"

"So since you made it be my student now... You are... The leader of Team Bravo!" She raised her hooves in the air to emphasize her point. The Ashley just gave a polite smile she was scared shit less. "So now get ten members for your team look at the records and choose wisely you are against three other teams!"

Wait for Bravo then who is... Alpha team! Ashley was thinking about it but just shrugged it off. It was time to get a strong team. While she was walking down the hallway. Thinking about a good strategy of how she should get a team loyal, strong, smart, balanced, stuff. "What did I sign up for?" she murmured.

She saw a guard in red armor approach her. "Ma'am come with me the files are in my office." The red guard was light on his hooves we walked a long distance. When we reached the door to his office I was panting for breath. He pulled out a key from his armor and unlocked the door. With a soft "click" the door opened. The room was dark pitch black he urged me onward with a hoof.

They walked in and his horn began to glow, and with magic burst's he shot the lanterns hanging from the walls. They glowed strongly making the room more visible. He then levitated Ashley over the table and onto a chair. On the desk were filed with pony's resumes on the desk.

"This is going to take a while" Ashley muttered to herself...
