The Sociable

We touched down on the road in front of the school. I was smiling brightly at the school it brought back so many good memories. I breathed in the morning air. My eye's... they... burned! Ya, I didn't go to sleep early yesterday. I just couldn't fall asleep I was just too excited to see Cadence react on her first day of high school, and also because I had to babysit my cousin. But I love my cousin so I'm sure it will be worth it.

After our ride left I started examining our surroundings instead of the school. I saw pony's walking around everywhere some sitting with their groups were they tried to fit in. I honestly never got that. I liked being by myself so that I could study without a distraction. Friends are just nice detraction's the only friends I had were my teachers.

Cadence trotted to a group of mares that were presumably her friends. But like me and lots of other ponies, I call them filly's because of how small and young they are. The group was about four mares five including Cadence.

When they noticed Cadence they called her to which she obliged. I followed close behind.

"Hey, Cadence!" One of the mares called out in a friendly manner. She was a snow white in color from coat, mane, and tail, But her eyes were a beautiful 'Persian Blue'. That was my favorite color! She looked older and more mature from the rest of fillies not that I'm saying that she is fat, no! She actually looks like a mare while the others were a lot younger than her. And let's not forget that this girl is an athlete! She had some nice muscle for her age... That sounds weird when I say it like that!

They greeted each other and the other. When they finished they all turn to look at me curiously. Cadence started introductions First me name than theirs.

"This is my cousin, Grand Prancer." She motioned to me with a hoof. Then they all said in unison "Hello Grand Prancer!" I just smiled politely and gave a slight nod with my head. Weird she didn't say I was a princess?

A mare with a golden coat and a horn extended her hoof to me. I took it and shook on it. "Grand Prancer, my name is Golden Spork, but you can call my 'Goldy' ok."

The only two words I muttered was... come on guess... I'll give you a hint... 'I'm wearing armor.' come on this is a cliche thingamajig. (Lets out an exasperated sigh!) "Yes, ma'am." Did you guess that if you did you get a prize! of NOTHING!

A light green mare 'Earth Pony' stepped up to me and we shook hooves. "I'm Green Tea!" She exclaimed in my face. I was surprised she didn't get saliva on my face.

When the third one came it was a... small scrawny stallion that I mistook for a mare. He looked like her was trying to hide from me with his short black mane. Which was cute not to say the least. "mmmy nnamee issss Dark Stride."

"Yes, sir." I said in the same tone I said the "Yes ma'am" in. He just nodded his head and returned to rummaging in his saddle for something. I turned to the "Snow White" color mare.

Her mane was covering one of her eyes. Mine would have been doing the same thing if not for my helmet. "Hello, my name is Snow White." She said in a calm neutral tone. She was a "Pegasus" just like me!

She didn't offer her hoof in a shake so I just gave a guard nod/princes' nod you know the "Slight Nod". She did the same likewise. As if on cue the bell rang. All the students started rushing in. So did Cadence and her friends getting deeper into the crowd I just waited for the crowd to lessen before I get smothered alive.

"Have the same Idea huh?" I turned my head around graciously to the source of the voices to find Snow White standing next to me with the first smile I ever saw from her. I smiled back and did the "NOD"

"Well it would just be dumb to go into that abomination," I say pointing to the herd of ponies going into the front doors. "I can say with experience."

She looked at me with a bored expression on her face.

"You hate waiting out here or what?" I asked.

She nodded her head "I just wish this process could be a little faster is 'all." She said ending her sentence grumbling under her breath.

"Hey cheer up I know a couple of entrance's but we could always have a dramatic entrance." She just shook her head but smiled nonetheless.

"I would just like to get in without anyone knowing how we did it really..." I started flapping my wings propelling myself into the air. "And where do you think you are going?" She asked

"Just follow me," I said with an encouraging smile. She complied having a millisecond battle in her head, she nodded her head.

"I'm with you." She said with a gracious smile.
