The Sociable

I was on the couch with Celestia bringing me back awake. "Easy Prancer, and by the way happy birthday!" Cadence cheered. Around me, pony's were talking enjoying themselves. I craned my head to look at the happy Cadence. "Come on get up and start mingling," Cadence said pulling my hoof bringing me to stand. So I could land on all four. I was in the living room of inside the castle house whatever you call it.

I did a quick scan of the room. It took me a moment to take it all in. Wwwooowww... Mommy! S-s-she.. she brought some of her best guards and soldiers to my birthday. MINE! Also some of my friends they were sitting in the corner of the room. Well, I really didn't have any... Well, i'll list them off to you there was my, best friend Screw Ball! She looked chaotic and was at times, but it was always tame. Then there was Cadence was also my best friend/Cousin so we know each other fairly well.

Then there was Gallows well... I don't know his "Real Name" but that is what everyone seems to call him. He's not goth or anything well sort of I don't know. He also always wears full body armor. Then you got his sister Princess Midnight, so I guess that makes Gallows a Prince? Ya pretty much, but Midnight hates my guts pretty much, also she wears a tiara and regalia like mom and me. Then you got their little sister her name is Red... Well just like her older brother Gallows it's not her "Real Name" per say, and the best part of it all is that they are all get this... "Thestrals" I know right how cool!

I rolled my eyes at the thought that they wouldn't tell me their names. I didn't even notice Celestia draped a wing over me, she was leading me to the table filled with my friends. Then there was Ashley my student "Apprentice" it was good to have her as a friend always so loyal.

I was so into my thought that I didn't even pay any attention to what Celestia was saying. She nudged me with her wing gently. "Prancer were you paying any attention to what I was saying?" She asked me. The gears in my head just stopped like if something got stuck, and everything went to an emergency shut down. I didn't even notice the face I was making. Which Celestia just looked at me and shook her head with a smug smile on her face. I must have had a horrified look for her to smile like that. She has like a list of smiles to make at special occasions she is weird. I like have you seen her eat cake like I never in my life seen a pony eat a cake like tha-

Celestia cut me off by explained herself again. "The Important People" you call them will be having a meeting and you are going to be there for me is that understood?" I did a polite princess nod. Which was just me tilting my head forward slightly, and saying "Yes mother" ya I only do that in public. "You've grown it's about time you got into some of the politics." She gently nuzzled my cheek. "Now go with your friends." She nudged me with her wing. Which I complied. As I started to walk away, she then added: "By the way, your godfather is here also!"

A grin graced my muzzle this is going to be fun. "Hey, guys." I cheered as I sat on a spare chair in front of Midnight who was playing with her hooves muttering under breath glaring at the table we were sitting at. Cadence took an empty seat beside me.

"Happy Birth Day Prancer!" They all cheered in joy beside's Gallows and Midnight. Gallows had a neutral tone while Midnight muttered still glaring at the table. She always has mood swings, but Gallows confirmed that she is not bipolar. We chatted away but Midnight kept to herself. But when she gets out of hand and violent that is when Gallows has to drug her to sleep. But that is only on rare occasions when she is really mad. I don't really know what triggers them they are like made of "Steel" they just do not seem to break. Especially Gallows he shows no emotion what so ever. Not even in the heat of battle. He looks like is dead inside creepy he is.

Wow, Celestia's Coming Dawn members were here at my party enjoying themselves. I know her house guard, and they know me. Then the ponies from all over Equestria that work for me because I owned a "Monopoly" of business. Ya, I was pretty rich on my own accord and including Celestia's neat allowance. I had more money than Cadence. I chatted away with all party's of ponies by the time I knew it the meeting was starting me and Celestia excused are selves from the party.

It was time...

The doors opened me, and Celestia sat beside each other. While the delegates across from us. Not all party's arrived.

They began talking about economics, and trade, peace blah blah blah. All that good stuff... Well the best part of the meeting was that they presented me gifts. The Zebras gave me a traditional warrior armor. They seemed pleased with the smile on my face. The Minotaur's gave me a shield built just for a pony and had a crescent moon on the front, and even cooler it glowed that was awesome. Why didn't I think of that?

The Griffins gave me a crossbow. They had explained that it had hardcore magic cast on it. The sight magnified when you looked through the scope, and it shot accurate the bolts that I put in would defy logic It would go straight until it hit something. Now that was impressive. I was smiling brightly like the "SUN" and it showed. I thanked the groups, and they were pleased with the outcome.

I could tell they were trying to see who had the better gift. I truth I liked all of them. But the one I probably showed the most love was the shield. It had the magnificent crescent moon and everything.

We all stood up and waited for the delegates to leave. Once they did we walked back to my room the room was getting cleaned by maids. "So how do you think the meeting went, and why on my birthday?" I asked.

"Well, Celestia started they wanted to draw you in as an ally by playing nice. Showing a sign of trust between you and them. And for me to be impressed and thank them for such wonderful gifts being given to my daughter."
