I look up towards the sky through the small clearing of broken tree branches. The moon had turned crescent, so I could tell that much time had passed. I stood up slowly, feeling out of breath and dazed. I stumbled from tree to tree as I tried to walk forward. I looked back at my wings, and tried to lift them. At this point I couldn't even feel them, so I knew I had to assume the worst. A branch crackled abruptly in a nearby bush. I rushed to pick up a pointy stick and prepared for an encounter with a deadly animal. The air was tense, and the peacefulness turned quickly into suspense. To my surprise an earth pony galloped out of the bush carrying a basket filled with assortment of herbs and berries. He came closer before realizing I was there and jumped. We stared at each other for awhile before he saw the the cuts and scrapes, not to mention the twisted wings on my back. "Um, are you okay? Do you need medical attention?" he stepped closer. I let out a sigh of relief when I knew his intentions were not malicious. "No, I'm fine." As I rocked back and foward, Trying not to tumble to my feet. He ran up to my side and I leaned against him. "No, no It's okay I can-". "Come on, let's get you patched up" he interrupted before I could finish. "I guess it couldn't hurt to stop the bleeding" I nonchalantly said. We slowly trudged out of the forest.
