The dragon's claws clenched the silver tray he was holding tighter as he approached the purple alicorn. Twilight sat hunched over her desk, the top of it strewn with loose pieces of parchment, piles of books, and quills too worn out from use for any further use. A quick glance at the clock showed just how long she had been at work; it was almost 3 AM, meaning she had been awake for almost 22 hours doing nothing but writing and reading, for the third day in a row. Spike chuckled softly to himself. "At least she made it back into the bedroom." he said as he headed over to his own bed, but as soon as his eyes fell onto a certain item he felt his heart drop like a rock.
'Shit! I forgot about those!' he panicked as he saw the bottle Thunderlane had given him on top of his bed. Glancing once back at Twilight, Spike opened the small container and quickly counted the pills inside.
One was missing.
