Chapter 1: Prayer answered?
Author's Note
Edited and reviewed for errors take 1; in addition my writing style is intentional, if grammar is off to you I will adjust it to work with the content I intend to have.
Explanation: I am expressive in my faith and the combination of magic and God is expressed as this, magic only goes so far, it do not help with or do everything for the user.
In addition despite 'logic' qualms this is all to serve a purpose for plot why focus could have been on others but it landed on me, also the kiss? As Luna said her hope was her kiss was not the last, implying the future in which is still a ways away, calm yourself this is just getting start and you are jumping from A to Z and not have yet seen B-Y.
Chapter 1: Prayer answered?
Today was just an average day for me, life however was not going in a desired direction; with a job meant to train me for whatever dead end job mirrored this one.
Next was my girlfriend, this one was golden; with this it seemed like I was left unsure where it would go and unsure if it is still strong.
So in short I am pretty dull and not very exciting living at home in a small city in Southern Cali being 23 years old...Life seemed as uncertain as everyone else....I do not expect this story to be thrilling or whatever....That was before it happened, a dream realized out of the blue and a definitely answered prayer....Just a tad late in my opinion...And not all I planned out, then again nothing God plan's is the way we expect.
I was just lounging about on a Wednesday afternoon after work at my 'job', talking with friends and youtube surfing...Due to possible politics and whatever bullcrap along with financial reasons The Civil War Society had lost a popular venue...Again...Prado Regional Park was a lovely event ground but had problems...It kept facing and received cancellations multiple times...Now broke its back...The price to use the ground was $2,500 the county, park or both was now asking $10G for use, this ended it again...Sadly maybe for good.
This results in major down time until the next event in May.....So I sit and wait...but then I received a ring of the doorbell...so I travel then short walk from my room, to the hallway, to the stairs, then down the stairs, to the door right on angle to the stairs to see whom could be visiting...I got my answer in spades!
There in the door however was two women standing a staggering height of over 6 feet! One had white skin from a guessed lack of sun exposure, she was wearing a lighter shade of midnight blue business blouse and short skirt with black 2 inch heeled shoes; she had dark black hair.
The taller women had magenta eyes, the other a striking turquoise, this one had a cream version of the other's suit with gold 2 inch heeled shoes...When the taller of the two spoke it was all too clear...to my total shock...
"Hello there, you Jesse?" the taller one asked smiling in a friendly manner.
"I am," I replied respectfully.
"May we come in please?" she asked trying from her body language not to be demanding.
"Uh..S-Sure come in," I said unsure if I was losing it or something.
"This will not take long I am sure you are busy," the black haired women said; for the record as expected these two were....Rather easy on the eyes for by their appearance in their early-mid 30's, and a healthy bust each....
"I have time to chat...Almost endless time," I said hint of disdain obvious.
"Well I can assure you you won't after this Jesse," the blond-brown hair said sitting down, "You have an unusual pet," she commented observing our pet pigeon, I gave his name and they marveled a moment him and our two cats before readying to conduct business.
"First things first," the black hair said when suddenly....HOLY CRAP!
With a flash of light there standing before me and now hunched a little where as the other just sat on our larger couch nonchalantly after a flash of light consumed her as well, was them...Princess Celestia & Luna...As Anthros still in their suits & heels but missing their distinct tiara's, In my house!
"Apologizes for the surprise, I promise you're not going crazy," Luna said walking to our recliner to seat herself.
"Could have fooled me," I said, feeling my expression acting against how I actually felt; if I had to describe it, it would be a mix of surprise and confusion, with a hint of....Anger?
"You seem conflicted; speak your mind please," Celestia encouraged softly with that motherly glow to her and look in her eyes...Damn they are distracting, her's and Luna's.
"You can tell us what you will," Luna said also being tender and encouraging.
"I guess I am conflicted; I am both unsure and a little miffed," I confessed now looking for a seat of which to my embarrassed shyness Celestia offered a spot next to her.
" 'Miffed'? " Luna asked.
"As in less than pleased on timing of your appearance in my house....Hard to explain," I said slumping down lightly on Celestia's left....
It was true I had mixed emotions about this moment...A while ago I was hoping for this, wished and begging at one point something this amazing would happen...But life sandpapered down my expectations dramatically to the point of quitting on ideas like this....No words could accurately name this...Call it anything, talk about it.
"It must be difficult to be this vulnerable, open, and emotional; I can tell you have thoughts about us and this," Celestia said caringly even placing her hand on my shoulder out of attempt to comfort.
"I can only guess we for one emotion you look...'Disappointed'," Luna observed looking concerned.
"I am a little...." I said finding it hard to look at them, there were reasons of which A: They were hot no doubt, they were sexy! B?: I did not want to just tell them I hated them for showing up too little too late...For a reason of affection toward them as one...Okay THE reason why.
Another reason could perhaps be because I felt guilty about whatever now brought them to my humble home.
"What about us is disappointing?" Celestia asked not in an offended tone but one of genuine curiosity.
"I guess in my mind you came too little too late for....Certain feelings and hopes I had..." I confessed making me embarrassed as I gutted myself of secrets and thoughts to them so freely.
"Oh? What were these 'feelings & hopes'?" Luna asked leaning in a little for a better listen though not needed.
"I had feelings for you both," I sighed amazingly easy, it scared me how I am opening up to them so freely...
"Oh really?" Luna cooed smirking at the idea of being before an admirer but backed off once they both felt this was no time to make light this moment.
"How am I just opening up to you what the heck am I doing?" I said suddenly wanting space between Tia and I, she seemed hurt at first then understanding and respected my need of space.
"Forgive us...We did nothing to cause harm," Luna said.
"You see we have an aura about us that borders on a radiation we possess; it makes somepony or someone feel secure around us, makes them more willing to speak freely yet be given the right to be silent,"
"I assure you no spell is being used on you to control you," Celestia explain being calm, soft, and sincere.
"So a relaxant spell you give off, also an inhibitor remover," I surmised.
"In a way yes but more innocent than that," Luna said trying to keep me calm by her expression.
"I see...So what brings you here?" I asked eager to get on with this.
"Ah well; you see Jesse, we have been made aware of your prayers, and cries," Luna said tenderly.
"Since a good at least 5 years we listened and were hurt by the anguish of your need for having a purpose," Celestia said.
"Your pain for love and affection from a loving girl; though you found one you are not happy and the job you gained is not any more perfect either," Luna added on.
"You feel that you will search onward with no sign of what to do to improve your occupation and your love-relationship; we heard you and sympathize with you,"
"So after time passed and you showed traits worthy enough after taking what you have in stride," Luna said.
"You are ready to have that belated prayer answered, God always keeps promises; now it will be fulfilled," Celestia said warmly.
"But you must be able to take on a purpose greater than the life on Earth in order to do so, this involves distance from cherished friends," Luna responded as well.
"I accept the terms for this," I said with some confidence.
"Good; I assure you also you shall have a handsome salary and benefits, your family shall also benefit from this as well," Celestia said.
"I believe it will be," I said sitting back to take this in.
"If you want an exact salary number in the by month? It would be....Hmm...How does $50 an hour sound?" Luna giggled.
"Considering US soldiers are payed $14.48 an hour and bless them for their service, you are paid handsome no?" Celestia observed.
"That is good....What do you have to say about the love part?" I asked curious to see where this will go.
"That however we cannot help you with; whatever happens there is up to your ability to find it if you lose it and have it last and keep it," Celestia said looking almost regretful.
"I expected that; no question about it that keeping my relationship alive or finding another if she is not the one will be by my efforts," I stated trying not to think about how I would cope failing in my current relationship.
"You are correct," Celestia agreed.
"So I am doing what for a job? A Guard?" I asked so I do not make an idiot of myself assuming I knew what I was walking into.
"You could do that; or be a secretary to me and my sister," Luna stated resting on her right hand with elbow on the armrest of the recliner.
"Hmm, what would be best for me?" I asked rhetorically.
"Well a guard pays $50 an hour but a secretary pays $75 an hour; however Royal Guards has more benefits," Celestia informed regardless.
"I can probably guess what the perks might be..." I said in thought.
Just then my cat Marbles decided to ask for attention from my guests when he sought Luna first hopping in her lap causing her to comically 'Oof' when he did due to Marbles being a hefty 13-15 pounds.
"Well hello 'Marbles'," Luna said petting him, "You're a big one," she commented.
"Yes he is," I chuckled.
"So what'll it be?" Celestia asking giggling a bit from the distraction from my cat.
"That is something I wish to mull over with my parents," I said.
"Of course; it's only right to do this," Luna said.
"We will give you...A week." Celestia settled on.
"So in a week you return?" I asked, "What if I decide before then?"
"Then wait until we return to tell us; if you decide before our return then that will be wonderful," Celestia said praising the idea.
"Sure...This is still a lot to take in..." I said looking like this was hitting me headlong.
"I understand this completely," Celestia said places her hand on my back.
"I apologize for asking this of you but how do I prove this happened to my parents?" I asked.
"Ah~ Of course proof; we have something to prove this to them," Luna said smiling slyly with a knowing smile.
"Oh? What?" I asked perplexed.
"Well you have a camera?" Celestia asked.
"My cellphone does," I replied.
"Perfect; but that was for you, this is our proof and it is a gift for you," Luna said warmly.
"We believe you shall appreciate this one I think~" Celestia chimed with her melodic giggle.
"And this is?" I asked about to retrieve my phone.
"This," Celestia chimed; before I could speak a familiar object appeared, a folded flag of their nation made of top material.
"Interesting memento," I said as I turned to put it somewhere safe, "Oh...I uh, have to ask but....How will this interact with my life?" I asked.
"Ah yes; well you see that would answer the position dilemma, you would best choose 'secretary' as it has a part-time option," Luna replied.
"Okay...Well...Still wishing to talk this over, perhaps later today if free?" I stated.
"Hmm....What does our schedule dictate?" Luna asked Celestia.
"It says..." Celestia trailed off making a notepad appear, "It says we have a meeting with Saddle Arabia, paperwork oh joy...And other than another meeting with the Sec. of Treasury ...We have time later today," Celestia said at last.
"How much later?" Luna asked.
"Uhm....Time is now...Oh 1:45 PM...So for both...Can you be here in 6 hours?..." I asked showing a tiny bit of concern.
"Oh that all? We can return by then, we can take care of the immediate things and be done by then," Celestia said in a casual tone.
"What about that meeting with Saddle Arabia?" I ask being quite curious how they can accommodate for the time I set.
"Oh that is in a week," Celestia said smirking.
"You know...There is a nickname people I know have for you," I said shaking my head at the classic impish nature of the solar princess.
"Enlighten me," Celestia said reclining back on the couch.
"They call you 'Trollestia'," I said with #0 hesitation; could not believe I did that....
Celestia & Luna simply laughed at this and then Celestia asked, "What is that suppose to mean?"
"Well in our culture today 'trolling' mean pranking and/or being mischievous for one's own amusement at others expense or perplextion," I explained.
"And these people, of which I know whom you mean; they think this about me? I am both amused and slightly offended," Celestia said placing her hand on her chest in mock indignation.
"I think it's hilarious," Luna said fighting off her giggles.
"Of course you would think that Luna," Celestia snapped back playfully.
"How do you not know of this about you anyways if you know how we know about your world?" I asked.
"We may be conscious of how your people know of us but we never bothered to delve that deep into your popular culture," Luna explained.
"I am grateful for that because to not go deep, there are things best left unknown." I stated straight forwardly.
"We'll take your words for it," Celestia replied.
"At any rate...Also may I ask if close friends know about this?" I asked hoping this dream train kept going smooth.
"No," Celestia said flat out; and the train derailed...."Not yet," she said in addition; okay still on track.
"When?"
"We will tell you when; fair enough?" Luna said then asked sweetly; a reason why I had the hots for her...
"The terms are sound," I stated respectfully.
"Excellent! Now for that proof for posterity more than necessity?" Celestia asked.
"Of course; a good term for this, it would be I guess another good bucket of water for any doubt," I said causing them to giggle as I headed back upstairs to A: Put their gift away, B: get my phone and photograph the two pony princesses in my Living/Family Room.
Eventually the picture was taken and small talk was shared such talk included my pricey, physically demanding and history honoring hobby; after all was said and done the two then left promising again they after the 6 hours from the time reading they would return, however before their withdrawal Princess Luna stayed for just a moment in private to have a little extra talk with me on a matter pressing in her thoughts.
"Listen...As you were told, we are aware of how lonely you were and still are even with this 'girlfriend' you made,"
"That being said...You then know we are yes aware of your feelings for us...But more so, your feelings for me," Luna stated softly and with a gravity to her tone as one would use when readying to spill a personal emotion.
"I had a feeling this was why you stayed to talk in private; I have however no idea what you will say so I am making no assumptions," I stated in an accepting tone.
"Good; however what I say may surprise you," Luna began saying what I might think will throw me for a loop.
"When I said that we knew of your affections toward us, we heard your cries for the love of one you can love and be loved in return this deeply move us, particularly myself,"
"Despite your view or your appearance, doubted your skill and abilities, and questioned if love would be possible for you, know this,"
"I say this to you as hard to believe as it is...I would have loved you," Luna said which as I said threw me for a loop, 150 loops!
"R-Really?" I said in disbelief; Luna nodded and explained herself, "But what of others? Those who love you far more than I do?" I asked.
"I am not ignorant of them if you must know; I am fully aware of the notion of admirers, but as thoughtful as it is to mention them this is about you," Luna explained.
"I admire your consideration and it's dully noted; I have observed each man and weighed their love, but our focus was drawn to you, you we chosen above them for a reason,"
"Do you recall Moses and how he felt being chosen for the task given? The honor bestowed?" Luna said.
"He felt unworthy as I do and felt another would be better," I replied.
"Yes; but I say why you were selected, you have a love, care and have a passion most beautiful of those reviewed; your level of emotion and drive for what you love in your interests is amazing and powerful,"
"You show amazing devotion to those you care for and those you love dearest and hold closest to your heart putting them ahead of yourself." Luna began.
"Your only desire is to be give a chance to show you are worthy of loving another with all your heart & soul, know this; you are worthy of the love you seek, especially that of a princess," Luna said tenderly.
Cupping my left side of my jaw, brushing away a tear that built itself in my eye she continued her explanation.
"This world is an unforgiving one, it makes judgement before one has the chance to show the ability and capability to perform a skill in a task, if it does not meet a standard in a preset time by those judges,"
"Often the ones who have talent are quickly deterred for the craft they have because it goes against the norm of the status quot; many talents all unique and having value all to their own," Luna observed.
"But there are those who have the courage to stand up and challenge those who quash their creativity and dreams; You are given that chance to prove wrong those who doubted you,"
"I assure you after all is said and done; as it is to those who fight with all their heart, you have enough to prove to the ones that think themselves judges leaving them robbed of proof to discredit,"
"You believed love was out of your reach; after what you deemed as failure and inability to gain a woman's attention you felt like love was behind a brick wall with no way to scale it,"
"I tell that is a lie; Love is not out of your reach nor was it ever, love is not behind a wall but a gate, you need only to use a key to pass,"
"You also believe if yes it was a gate you had not a key to use, the only thing was you already had the key but was robbed the confidence to use it to unlock the gate standing between you and true love,"
"You are special Jesse, as all are in what skills and abilities each person possesses; let no one tell you any different,"
"Be strong Jesse; you will find your missing half to your heart," Luna said in a tone dripping with love and caring tenderness.
"That is what I said I wanted to find my missing half," I said tears now streaming down my face from the words I heard the midnight blue alicorn mare say.
"As I said; we have heard your wounded heart, God and us heard you, don't think for a moment you were crying out in vain," Luna said softly.
"I am sorry we came as late as we did; but if it's any consolation may I offer this from the depths of my heart," Luna said cupping my jaw again; before I had a second to react Luna and I had ourselves locked in what I can say was the best kiss I had ever in my life.
This was the first time I ever had such a tender and powerful kiss of this type, I never kissed a girl before...If it is like this I want to experience this again I thought as tears returned I to my own surprise I joined in the kiss and returned it myself to her.
When the kiss broke I was in shock, totally stunned and unable to process what had just happened; it was as though all ability to think, ability to reason was a company mowed down by a volley of reality leaving if lucky 30% left.
"Was that acceptable?" Luna asked blushing rather beautifully and cutely as she shyly brushed her hair in a nervous fashion.
I could only stammer for the first time in a while or who knows how long, resulting in Luna recovering from her shyness and giggled at my bewildered look.
"I take it it was acceptable~" Luna cooed playfully.
"It was..." I finally uttered recovering a little from my shock.
"May I not be the last one you kiss Jesse; you have my prayers and care for you," Luna said sweetly.
"Thank you Luna....Princess," I said correcting myself.
"Luna is fine right now Jesse,"
"Of course,"
"Well; good day to you, we will return as promised; best of luck to you Jesse, if your love is not with your current girl may the next one appear soon," Luna said placing her hand on her chest and bowing her head and leaving after I opened the door for her.
Once she left; I had plenty to wrap my mind on and around and no knowledge how to approach....Like becoming McClellan and hesitating on encircling and attacking a surrounded regiment of rebel soldiers.....What do I do about this one?...
Time and lots of courage, thought, and no small amount of prayer will determine what happens next.

Chapter 2: Future Discussed
This day took a sharp turn after having the rulers of Equestria in my house, the two sisters, Princesses of the Sun & Moon Celestia & Luna; now was the thought of what I am to do with this knowledge a hardcore Brony would dream of! Or in my case...an on-the-fence Brony with a sad view of the show's twin Alicorns now not sad cause they were fantasy and I had deep feelings for them now being real, but because I thought one of them would meet me and over time I fall in love.
Now however despite losing that dream come true I was told by Luna herself she would have loved me; I felt guilty on account of knowing others who are lover's of her just as much, regardless I now was told by the two sisters that I have a job offer to work for them at a retire early salary, this was a dream job in some way even for me, yet for some reason...I was unable to let it sink in; even as I stared at the folded flag given, and the picture I was allowed to take for myself....This was going to be a rollercoaster and a half for me.
Hours passed and I showed my mother first what happened leaving her dumbfounded in the face of this shocking news.
After talking with her and dealing with the fallout of it, plus house chores I went back to relaxing until tonight and my dad return from work, then we talked again....
"So...This 'Celestia' and 'Luna' came by and they are what?" My father asked me trying to make sense of this.
"Ponies...Well sort of; well you saw the picture they are human-like ponies, rulers of the country called 'Equestria', they showed up offering me a job and I accepted," I explained.
"You did what?! " my dad barked, "What were you thinking?" He asked further snapping at me.
"How can we trust them?" My mom asked me.
"They are pure mom and I told you, God himself is involved! They stated he is answering a long awaited prayer and sent them, also they would not agree to talking to you or leaving this to my choice if they had ill-intent," I reasoned.
"Think about this...Also I though our house was blessed? I was under the thought we are secure here? So how did they get in mom?" I asked further.
"Look; the point is you don't accept this kind of job without talking to us," my dad stated, "If this is in another world and country that is a long way from home and you can't just leave here," Dad added.
"A reason I am taking a job offering part time; second 'magic'? The way they got here so fast is how I will travel back and forward quickly, I could journey there and back in a day providing time passes relatively close," I explained, "Have faith mom, is that what we know?" I asked.
"This is bigger than us, than me; if I am chosen to do this I am ready to challenge myself," I said, "I am not willing to throw away a chance at putting my life in order, to live on my own and start my life,"
"Is that what you want for me? Or what do you have planned?" I asked near harsher than I intended.
"Of course we want you to live your own life, we want you happy; we just want you to be careful," my mom said.
"If this good as it sounds then I hope you can handle this, if this has challenges then be strong when you do and do not wait to ask help," she advised atop that.
"I know mom...Trust me...I know," I said looking in thought about what I may face in the days to follow.
Within a short while a sound was made at the door, the hour hath arrived as Luna would say and I walked from the wood chair in the living to the door a yard to the TV then 90o right and then another yard to the door.
Once the door opened there once more was the Princesses in disguise asking to enter, once allowed it they shifted to Anthro-form much to the shock of my parents.
"Greeting Mr. & Mrs.; I am Princess Luna, this is my sister Celestia, we are here to discuss the future of your son in regards to a job offering from the two of us," Luna addressed first in her smooth polite tone.
"We were asked to which we agreed to take time from our schedule to meet with you, now; where shall we begin?" Celestia said before asking.
"What is he doing?" my dad asked.
"He has chosen to be a secretary on account of what being a royal guard entails; as a secretary his hourly pay is $50," Luna explained.
"$50??" my dad asked his eyes widened much to the royal's amusement.
"Yes sir you heard me correctly," Luna giggled.
"Now that pay and occupation is established; what other questions do you have?" Celestia asked.
"How long is his hours?" my mother asked.
"He will have part-time upon his request in that job choice; he will work a 5 hour day for 5 days a week, the hours he will work are our choice but according to his main job work hours it works perfectly with his schedule,"
"He will have time between leaving his job and the time he relaxes afterwards, from 1:30-6PM; even though it reduces time to chat with friends it will be the best time to work," Celestia explained,
"This may sound like one blessing after another but I assure you it's no cake walk."
"No pun intended sister?" Luna said smirking to which Celestia glared in response only amusing Luna further.
"It's an inside joke apologizes," Luna said fighting her giggles.
"Indeed," Celestia replied fighting her annoyance.
"I see you get along well and have fun day to day?" My mother asked Celestia.
"Yes as sisters we have moments; but as Jesse can explain there was a time we couldn't be more apart...." Celestia said somberly.
"You and your sister had a feud?" My dad asked.
"They had a huge falling out in which Luna turned evil the Celestia banished Luna," I explained.
"How'd this play out?" my dad asked.
"You see at one time my sister and ruled peacefully after dealing with 2 threats to our infant united kingdom after my family began it's rule, died in a terrible freak accident, then shifted power to Luna and I," Celestia explained.
"Once crowned we were not willing to accept the normal circumstance we would have faced if our parents died of old age, so to express our thoughts and honor our parents we kept our titles as princess and ruled as a Diarchy," Luna added,
"Things calmed from there and we began to accept our new lives; even so much so to be a bit impish on my part by bullying the founding co-ruler of the Confederacy of Equestria, Princess Patricia Platinum," Luna informed chuckling a little at the memory.
"Afterwards we showed more maturity and battled a centaur like race's rogue prince, then the living spirit of chaos now reformed entity named 'Discord'; once we reclaimed our land we ruled in security,"
"But it was not so secure," Celestia narrated seen near visibly cringing at the retelling of the up coming events.
"Over time the day and night began to receive unequal love and admiration from our subject; subjects began adoring the day and shunning the night...Luna became jealous,"
"Yet playing in tandem with youthful ignorance and a distraction I let my sister's jealousy strengthen...Until one day....She snapped," Celestia said shuddering at what she recalled and what was going to be told next.
Luna simply placed a hand on her sister in encouragement and only then did the Sun Princess continued.
"One night," Celestia sighed before continuing, "She was on her throne asking to see me...Then she made the point of the meeting clear, to state she had enough of her and the night being ignored, she then proclaimed Equestria was to have one ruler....Her,"
"So she blocked out my sun and harnessed dark magic, transforming her into her alter-ego of 'Nightmare Moon'; she then stated her first act was eliminating me, so she struck, I however refused to raise my hand against my own flesh, so I ran....Or flew rather," Celestia told.
"She tried her damnedest to strike me but I evaded her best I could, our home and old capital suffered from Luna's rage filled shots of magic, eventually I was hit and sent falling....It...It..." Celestia faltered looking in shock like PTSD with tears beginning to form when Luna decided to take over.
"It was then Celestia was after regaining strength, left no choice but to use a power we used on Discord called 'The Elements of Harmony'; with the last fragment of connection to them she used them against me, banishing and imprisoning me in the moon itself for 1,000 years," Luna finished.
"And so Celestia due to her long lifespan ruled alone and heartbroken ever since until Luna escaped due to the power of the elements fading from the broken bond to the two of them," I explained.
"Jeez," My dad said.
"You can't change what happened," My mom said, "You can only do what you are doing and move on from it," she finished.
"Believe us we have been doing that; Celestia tried before my return as well, in the form of proteges and a lover from a parallel Equus, thanks to those she loves and loved she of course with her duty to remind her pushed through and here we both stand," Luna explained.
"That's a lot to go through; does this mean this job you're offering is dangerous?" My dad asked.
"We've had no threats for months almost a year now; I assure you Equestria is safe especially for a secretary," Luna said confidently.
"Plus the impressive salary it's a win-win; here is the intricate part, you see since our world is a secret to the world except to your government, we have in place a system that allows your son to collect his income while on paper looks totally legal and legitimate," Celestia explained.
"How exactly,?" My mother asked.
"By giving your son's salary in small payments," Celestia answered, "At $25 at a time, he need only pay with each payment $5 tax,"
"That makes sense; this is good," My dad said with contentedness.
"I'm glad you agree to the terms and conditions," Luna said with a smile.
"How much is your currency worth in compared to ours?" My mother asked.
"To put it this way; £1 in British money is $1.43, our 'Gold 'Bit' ' equals double the £," Luna explained.
"Wow that's a lot," My mother said jaw agape at the figures.
"So at $50 in Bits that is only...." I said trying to do math but was too slow for Luna.
"Roughly 17.48B - 17.50B," Luna answered.
"My sister is a math wiz," Celestia giggled, "I am too but I guess I have too much 'Blonde' at times in me no offense to blondes," she added blushing a little.
"We all have that," My mother chuckled, "Especially my sister who is blonde and when younger could trip on a hair on the floor," she added resulting in Celestia and Luna laughing.
"Also I was never good at math; I got through school without it, how I haven't a clue," My mother said giggling.
"Times were different I would think," Celestia reasoned with a chuckle.
"She also is technologically challenged," I added in.
"It's true I'm a 'Tech-tard' as my nephew called me," My mother informed with a smile.
"That's adorable; we are that way, getting used to Earth tech is new ground but needed," Celestia stated.
"It is essential for us to have a firm foot on your planet's political and economical stage once we are integrated into the world's nations," Luna added on.
"I still need to take computer lessons cause I know nothing about this, Jesse and his brother do and my step dad does," My dad informed with a chuckles.
"So when will he start?" My mother asked.
"He will start in 2 weeks," Celestia answered.
"That sounds fair enough," my mother replied nodding in approval.
"Perfect; it's wonderful you see the conditions and terms to your liking," Luna replied.
After some idle chatter the Princesses then left, leaving me again to gather my thought's; this was going to be an adventure when my first day arrives in 2 weeks from now when I literally work for royalty.

Chapter 3: Royally Appointed
Over the days since I continued my mundane life in relative peace, turns out I got 1 respite from the lull between Reenactments and a few fun things to break up the doldrums of rolling silverware in napkins for a restaurant for 3 and a half hours for all the week days even if it is a holiday....The day came at last! I was finally going to head to Equus to start my first day as a secretary to their Royal Majesties' Celestia & Luna, along with Twilight and whom ever Royal needed me so to keep me busy as much as possible so I do not have a bunch of days of inactivity.
I sat ever so patiently as I awaited my transportation to a location to get to Equus, before hand I had a nice chat with my across sea friend and my thoughts afterwards....Many thoughts raced through my mind, all centered on one question: 'What will be my life in the days ahead?'.
After attending to basic chores as drained partially as I was from my current job...I waited....Soon at 1 PM a knock sounded, I answered the door and now...the journey begins.
"Greetings Jesse; my name is Raven, I am Celestia's Head Secretary I shall train and supervise you on your work," Raven stated kindly.
Raven was in the form of a Caucasian woman that basically would be her humanized, she worn a white business suit blouse and skirt with a red tie and red 1 inch heels, she stood at '5-10" with a slender build.
"A pleasure." I said shaking her hand.
"Celestia wishes to inform you that since this is your first day your hours are shortened so you can adjust," Raven informed adjusting her glasses.
"That is kind of her; Let us be off then." I said to which she nodded and we headed out after I locked the house; upon leaving I saw to my surprise was a white Limo, then again I should have known since discretion was the word until Equus is revealed.
"Where are we going to, to get to Equus?"
"We will be heading to an airport called 'Camarillo Airport' there we board a jet and with Princess Luna's assist we shall enter a portal made by her and enter into Equus," Raven answered.
"That sounds perfect, I cannot see a way other than that that is quick." I replied letting Raven enter the limo first.
"Very true, it was the only location we found that is discrete and close enough to your home to make a quick commute; also to let you know this limo will be your daily transportation to and from work." Raven stated.
"I can used to that, Celestia spoils me." I chuckled buckling up before helping myself to drinks in the ice box on board, consisting of alcohol
and soda.
Raven simply giggled in reply before helping herself to a drink.
Soon we were off and on the way I took the driving time to reflect on what was happening, this was an unbelievable experience of a lifetime, being a reluctant brony this was a treat that to a dedicated, passionate brony would be the greatest moment of their life.
Along the drive Raven took the time to view the way in the direction of the journey my family takes to see my cousins in Oxnard, it was not overtly impressive but it was all new to Raven and she liked the sights, particularly the view of our destination from the Camarillo grade going 'down the hill' as my family says.
"The scenery is unique," Raven commented.
"It is not overly special but it is what I grew up seeing; you should view my area of the city we were in before leaving," I remarked.
"One day maybe." she replied.
We eventually arrived at the airport and once parked on the Tarmac there sitting in the sun was a white private jet with no special markings, around the jet however where armed men as security just in case; at the top of the stairs a woman was standing with black hair, no doubt Luna disguised and upon seeing Raven & I approaching she descended the stairs to greet us.
"Warm greetings and well wishes Jesse," Luna said smoothly as she shook my hand.
"Likewise Luna, happy to meet you again." I replied with a smile.
Luna was not in her business suit she had before, now she went casual with blue jeans, silver women's dress shoes with no heels and a dark gray button T-shirt with a stripes pattern.
"I trust the journey was smooth?"
"Yes Luna, traffic for once was minimal on the grade, most of the time people going downhill are idiots," I replied chuckling, Luna chuckled in response.
"Well let's not delay, my sister is waiting for you." Luna said turning to head up to the jet again; Raven and I slowly yet with haste headed after and boarded the plane.
Inside the jet was decorated in Equestrian art and images, which indicated that this jet will never be neutral again but owned by the Equestrian government, it had purple fabric seats and on the walls the images and in the art-style from the book Twilight read about stating Nightmare's return and her appearance in the beginning.
Luna then took her seat toward the front of the plane while Raven and I took the seats closest to her heading back, in the back was a table for meetings, this was looking like and it was later explained, confirmed a private jet version of Air Force One for The Princesses; this makes sense due to that this would be best for a world where even though technology was all over including some modern things it settled by in large early 20th century.
"This is nice...," I remarked looking at the interior, "I take it this will be your jet to travel around in to locations that a chariot would be impossible?"
"Yes it is, purchased discretely and customized with artisan's skilled in jet interior," Luna started explaining, "The US government helped with security measures such as countermeasures and flares in case of attack by hostile aircraft, we are in effect a miniature version of your President's aircraft."
"Not bad, and I bet this all is fascinating to you?" I asked.
"All of your technology is, it took a while to explain the functions and proper usage of everything we will be handling on this jet alone." Luna explained looking a tad embarrassed.
"My mother as you recalled is worse than you."
"I recall that, I feel better for it." she replied standing to tell the pilot to take off before buckling up, we followed suit and the plane was taxied out.
Observing both Luna and Raven I could tell either they were still adjusting to air travel, or this was the first time they even used the plane, which I later found out was the former, and that they trial ran this 5 times, Celestia was aboard 3 of the runs.
Soon we were airborne and things calmed after that, one thing I noticed about the jet too was it sure was custom, they made the fuselage taller for their tall bodies, perfect since Luna had changed back to her Alicorn form, Luna then used her magic to change Raven back to pony form as well, once again I was before anthro-ponies.
"Ah much better," Luna said flexing her wings a tiny bit.
"Once we are out to sea, there we will enter a portal I shall create." Luna explained fetching a drink for herself, a red wine by the looks before seating, "It shall be daylight over there too, and same hour of day as well." She added.
"Very convenient." I remarked while getting a drink offered by a stewardess on board, an indigo earth pony in a sky-blue uniform with the twin sister crest on her right shoulder, the drink was another soda a Dr Pepper.
"That it is; you I trust are aware of your day's activities?" Luna asked.
"All I know is my day is short just so I can adjust and get familiar." I replied.
"Good; well for more detail you shall be doing minor paperwork after getting comfortable, when you do this you shall serve my sister a while, then me, but before me you will be detailing Blueblood." Luna rattled off.
"Blueblood?" I asked unsure with how that will be, he could be a jerk.
"Believe me I understand, I assure you his attitude is better; tough him out and you will be in my service before the day ends." Luna said smiling in a friendly assuring way & tone.
"Very well...." I said almost reluctant to begin, may my shift with Blueblood be kind to me.....
"However..." Luna said suddenly, "Should Twilight or Cadence drop in you will be assisting either one." Luna smirked winking at me.
"That would be nice." I chuckled in replied, trolling must be either a sister thing or in the family.
"I told him I would supervise him as well Princess." Raven informed.
"Very good Raven, you are in good hands Jesse." Luna said sipping her wine.
"I believe I am; so where in Equestria are we landing?" I asked.
"Cloudsdale." Luna said.
"From there via Luna's chariot we fly to Canterlot." Raven added.
"Sounds like a plan; I am satisfied with the preparations." I remarked hoping things will keep going as smooth as they seemed to have planned.
"Good; now you will upon arriving at Canterlot be taking an oath of secrecy, this will be a serious one so I only wish to express fair warning," Luna explained, "For this oath has a magic binding to it that will regrettably punish you should you break the oath..." She finished her tone reflecting care toward me like she was with reluctance forcing me into a dark deal, concerning really.
"I understand but why?" I asked wanting to ease my nerves.
"Because, for your sake and safety, plus reasons of being considered insane; would it work out for you if no one believed?" Luna explained, "In addition it is in God's timing...Need a reason?" she added.
"None more needed; I understand clearly." I replied.
"Excellent." Luna responded with a smile.
The journey was brief for soon we were out over the South Pacific ocean before Luna opened the portal we were to pass through to enter Equestria, on the planet Equus, before hand Luna gave me a slight warning.
"Before we enter the portal fair warning; we shall be accelerating rapidly when we enter the portal."
"I expected that, though part of me wanted it smooth I suspected it would not be easy." I said confirming I heard her.
The plane then entered the portal and in an instant lurched forward like warp speed pushing me back in my seat, light flashed outside briefly but soon blue sky was seen again, but when I peeked out to look at the view...There it was...Equestria! More importantly the floating cloud city of Cloudsdale, on was on Equus at last.
"How is the view out there?" Luna asked chuckling a little.
"More than one can say....How will ponies respond to a human?" I asked having completely forgot I did not bother to ask.
"Ah yes, well we have an ID card for you, as well as we informed those who need to know along with assigning a pony to be your chaperone while here." Luna explained.
"Who is my chaperone?"
"Your chaperone will be one of the Element bearers, of the 6 one stepped forward to the task." Raven replied.
"And she would be?" I asked.
"Lady Applejack." Luna answered.
"I have a friend who would get a kick out of that." I chuckled thinking of a friend from the Netherlands and admirer of Aj.
"What is his name?" Luna asked.
"Boaz."
"Ah; I suppose when the time comes I shall assist in a little introduction~" Luna giggled.
"He would do flips over that and cry tears of joy."
"He really loves her that much?"
"Same way I held you in high regard if not more so."
"I pray it works well for him."
"As do I; him and me both." I finished as out plane touched down at Wonderbolt's Academy of which made sense for a landing place as it was technically part of Cloudsdale.
Exiting the plane we were greeted by Capt. Spitfire, or now known and Maj. Spitfire.
"Your Majesty." Spitfire said saluting Luna on sight.
"At ease Major, thank you for coming to meet us and escort us." Luna replied.
"It's an honor and privilege Princess Luna, just doing an act of duty." Spitfire responded as she and us headed to the Gothic looking chariot, it was a Gothic and Spartan as it was menacing, almost reminiscent of Hades' chariot from Disney's Hercules.
After boarding I noticed the guards were armed, but not with a spear but a bolt-action rifle, what looked to be a combo of a Lee-Enfield and a '03 Springfield; of which it have the body, muzzle of a Springfield, but bore an Enfield bolt & fixed magazine, I found out it however fired what the rest of the rifle suggest's a 30-06 round.
"I see how your guards are actually armed." I remarked.
"Alas as you can gather already, Equus is not the Eden one would think." Luna replied as soon we lurched forward and was airborne in no time but Spitfire stayed behind.
The view from above was spectacular! I was given a Eagle eye's view of the land of Equestria, Ponyville, Sweet Apple Acres, The Everfree, and area around was vivid and clear, despite the heights I was in awe even more so when the capital came gleaming into sight gilded and shiny.
"Canterlot..." I uttered with jaw agape.
"It is indeed, for me home sweet home again." Luna replied comedically closing my mouth with a click and an index finger pushing my jaw with a giggle; how embarrassing...
Passing the towering structures of the city we touched down with amazing grace and smoothness like a plane as we just as easily rumbled on the street with trotting hooves of centaur guards along side pacing us.
Canterlot was a gilded marble, a gem; the show pales in comparison to the scale and rich details of the Equestrian capital, nobles and common ponies run, walk, gallop or trot about as do cars I saw right out of '20's America and Europe.
Homes were a mix of early 20th Century and Victorian era homes each was roughly located like in the show with a few meaning out of 25, 7 houses looked modern-ish; I expected this from a capital built only so many centuries ago since Celestia decided to for the sake of memories abandon the capital where Ponyville would and may have been what this place is, homes of the elite and nobility.
After rumbling into the entrance accessible via chariot Luna, Raven, and I un-boarded the ride and under escort walked inside the keep to the Thrones Room where Celestia was waiting for us; walking about the halls I was blown by the portraits and statues in the place, there was also guards lining the halls and maids & butlers.
And who do I find heading toward us from the room we seek is none-other than the stuck up prince Blueblood, it took the now semi-egotistical royal no time to notice me.
"Egad's....Auntie Luna what is that?... " Blueblood asked looking partially disgusted and mostly surprised.
"This is Jesse our new part-time Secretary." Luna replied refraining from rolling her eyes and sounding annoyed & sarcastic.
"But what is he?..."
"He's a human your Highness." Raven informed trying not to reply dryly.
"Oh; well I do adore having more help around, he better not slack off."
"I assure you his work ethics and dedication will be exceptional." Luna replied really trying to be civil in her tone.
"Good~ Farewell then 'Jesse'; see you shortly, I have sooo much to do. Ta~" He said walking haughtily off, seriously I promise you he gets more tolerable later trust me...I have documental proof...
"He is....Something." I remarked once moving on and after Blueblood was out of range.
"I apologize for if I uttered that Blueblood has improved his attitude." Luna sighed near deadpanning in her expressions.
"No no I will be fine with him."
"I hope so because you just met him...I live with him..." Luna said dryly this time, an eye twitching.
"I work for him and I agree, Blueblood's demeanor has improved minorly since the Gala of 5 years ago." Raven remarked.
"Tell me however that he and Shining Armor had a diplomatic mission once."
"Oh yes he did and yes he did show change despite the egotism he displayed." Luna replied.
"Lovely..." I responded showing a little joy in that revelation.
After a further walk we finally arrive in the Thrones Room where Celestia sat on her throne until seeing us brought her standing and walking to us smiling.
"Welcome at last to Canterlot!" She exclaimed jubilantly arms open.
"Wonderful to be here, hard to imagine looking around this was all real and right before me." I replied rubbing the back of my head.
"I didn't expect you to take it all in at once Jesse." Celestia giggled as she pulled Luna into a hug.
"I tried."
"Well now that you're here please follow Raven back out into the city again to Rarity's shop? She has your new suit ready for you."
"How did she-?..." I was about to finish my question when I quit on it shortly after I thought of my answer I sought.
"I informed her ahead of time by eyeballing your size." Celestia answered anyways.
"Very well I will head to her shop, I must say I am flattered to meet one of the 6 mares on my first day."
"And I'm certain she and the others will be pleased to get to know you too." Luna stated subtly winking at me.
"That would be perfect." I replied bowing slightly as I and Raven headed back out again to meet with the Lady of Generosity, Rarity Gemstone; oh I can only imagine how this will go meeting the famous fashionista herself.

Twilight's the Last Gleaming
Chapter 4: Tailored for Duty
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. Twilight's the Last Gleaming
Chapter 5: Asst-ing to: Celestia
After doing so well on my trial run as a royal secretary I was off to my first board meeting with Celestia's advisers this should be a relatively easy task, beside the highly likelihood of it being dull as can be I should breeze by this fairly and should Twilight get here as a result of a slow meeting? Blueblood can sit on his head for all I cared either way he would be without me a while longer....I had zero clue what that stallion would have me do anyways..
The Board room was a decent sized room but lacking the drab office building theme, it was more lively colored with cream wall paper, a polished red stained oak table and nine violet fabric rolling chairs with one leather chair for Celestia of course, there was a window to the outside, the board room was located in the west wing of the castle, third floor room 150.
The board members consisted of four stallions four mares, of that there was three unicorns male & female; two pegasi male, three earth male & female.
"Good afternoon to all of you." Celestia addressed them, the board greeted her as well.
"This is my new secretary and he will be joining us."
"Greetings, pleasure to be meeting you." I responded in a professional yet friendly tone.
The board's reaction was mixed, some nodded some looked at me, some outright spoke, first was a gun-metal gray unicorn stallion in a lighter blue suit with silver mane.
"You? You are going to be Celestia's secretary?"
"Yes he is Galvanized-Steel." Celestia replied coolly.
"No need to be defensive Princess he was just being sure, we also are curious about him and why." the unicorn mare beside him queried, she was a light brown in a red woman's suit and long pants with a blonde mane.
Celestia however was not fooled and it took every facial muscle to resist twitching either eye at this conduct.
"As for why it is my business and if you question his ability to perform his duty allow him to prove himself." Celestia retorted calmly hoping against hope it would appease them.
"We shall be quite open Princess I assure you." An Earth Stallion said in a friendly tone, he was blue with a silver mane & tail.
With the situation defused the meeting began and for the most part it was over stock, national debt, income revenue, trade agreements; general information you would expect, all the while I tried to maintain focus despite the droning on of statistics and logistics, I then went to each pony grabbing papers they have and handing it to Celestia to view herself.
"How are you doing Jesse? You alright?" Celestia whispered to me when she noticed I was showing understandable boredom.
"Yes Princess I am doing alight." I said rubbing the sleep from my eyes resisting a yawn.
"You are doing alright, it's justifiably boring believe me." She whispered with a small giggle.
"Thank you." I replied with a smile before tending to one of the staff members, signing what I needed to sign for Celestia while she signed other papers.
"Now Celestia I have a particular question on a more...Developing matter; if I recall you mentioned that you plan on making Equus known to the human's world?" The blonde maned unicorn asked her name was Katrina or addressed as Ms. Copper-Ore.
"Yes I am; why is this so pressing?" Celestia asked wondering what she was going at.
"Your Majesty while I see the nobility of this how do you know if those creatures will behave civilly?..."
"I have made very special and covert meetings with foreign leaders myself and I assure you the reveal shall be handled with ease and professionalism."
Celestia was trying her best to be patient but the way they spoke of humans poked at her a smidgen especially with me in the room hearing this and atop that while taking it well and paying no mind it embarrassed her and upset her.
"Even if things go according to plan how will you handle a negative reaction from either species be they human or pony?
"You can't expect immediate harmony because you make a grandiose appearance and give a speech there will be backlash mostly from humans and ponies in kind from their prejudice and mentality."
The third unicorn made was a pale-light lavender with a jet black mane and tail styled like Twilight had it when she got a make-over while her castle was being made more homey for her, her name was Helena Ink-Well.
Celestia was reluctant to think it let alone agree with it but she had a legitimate point, there was the chance humans and ponies will have an animosity at first because of difference in species, both having a superiority complex and biased ideals about the other, man for have a tainted view of its importance and ponies feeling superior for reasons of having skills and strength above mortal humans.
Nevertheless she saw the bias and prejudice in the mare's remarks and replied in kind to counter the mare's elitist views and show interest in the legitimate worries she was correct on.
"I have contingency plans in place for such things Helena...I needn't be concerned with that 'may be', I am focused in what 'will be'."
Celestia replied calmly adjusting her suit and regaining comfort in her seat giving a serious and composed expression toward the mare.
"With all due respect your Royal Highness this is not a personal matter for selfish intent, this is the concern for the success of your plans Princess; my only wishes is to see two worlds join peacefully with any nuisances standing in your way or being a thorn in your side."
Helena retorted hoping that would help her case and give some believable care and concern.
Celestia showed no mercy and also shot holes in that veil but rather than call her out on her faux-genuine care, being was too old to be fooled so easily by misdirect and flattery and thus too experienced to be upfront, Celestia tactfully replied again.
"I am pleased you show such care and compassion for you fellow ponies and the humans that will be involved as history is being made; I see very well your intentions and I shall repay in kind your remarks with affirmative action so that your worries shall be laid to rest."
"Furthermore..." Celestia continued intentionally cutting Helena off, "I may ask you to assist me in where you show such interest so that I may effectively ensure that this contact with humanity is met with security, prosperity, and peace without room for prejudice to spoil this prospect of trade and harmony between Equus and Earth."
Celestia finished attempting to hide her amused smirk as Helena was left utterly speechless, she looked like a ship that had its mainmast shot away her jaw hanging limp.
Even I had to repress a chuckle at how Celestia so calculatingly she disarmed the mare, I almost felt bad for how Celestia outwitted her and called her bluff.
The rest of the room stared in surprise as well while the Earth Ponies tried to hide their amusement as much as Celestia and I.
Helena then showed at last her true colors and her mood, she tried but she was plainly furious how she had been made a fool of so ruthlessly.
"Was my words taken as a joke to you Princess?" Helena asked barely keeping her outrage contained.
"Not at all Ms. Ink-Well, I was being of the utmost serious and I ask you to show me exactly how you wish to deal with the humans and ponies who would have presumed thoughts about equinety & humanity."
"If you have an idea please, share it." Celestia said softly yet flatly.
Helena was unable to say a single word in reply, Celestia had thoroughly disarmed her and she couldn't utter anything to reply to her sovereign; Celestia had won without a single insult, backtalk, harsh word or anything to stoop to her level.
"Nothing? I'm sorry about this Helena perhaps I should ask you when you have come up with an actual plan."
I nearly lost it, the earth ponies also were beside themselves how Celestia handled herself so professionally and with such graceful composure.
"Does anypony else have something they wish to contribute or suggest?"
No one had an answer for Celestia, there was silence until finally a pegasus spoke; he was named Typhoon-Gust.
"Now that you present the chance and so we can have an input at last Princess we ask when will you have this reveal of our world?"
"I plan on the reveal to take place in the Fall around October I suppose." Celestia replied.
"That sounds like a perfect time of year for a meeting your Majesty."
"Excellent; now is there any pressing matters needed to be made known?"
The group hadn't another remark or issue to address to her it seemed they had gotten out what they wished to say and that was that.
"I hereby close this meeting for the day and we shall meet up again another time." Celestia said as she took to her feet as did everyone else.
The ponies bowed heads in respect as Celestia nodded to them then they left leaving Celestia and I alone.
"Not bad Jesse I am pleased how you carried yourself; I am so sorry for the insulting attitude of my staff."
"I learned to bite my tongue, and I am on the job so I could not think to say what I felt if someone insults me."
"I didn't say you couldn't defend yourself but that is very noble of you to control your words so cautiously Jesse, you are showing great maturity by thinking before you speak; but try not to be so silent thinking it is better because you have a very expressive personality and it would be a crime to stifle your enthusiasm."
"I just want to avoid driving people or ponies away because I chatter so much."
"You fear your weak social skills and want ponies to like you; I understand you completely Jesse, but silencing yourself and barely speaking is not the way to do it, let me help you with your social skills or Luna can help you as well but be yourself it's the best thing for you."
Celestia was right but I was afraid to let her down or prove her task impossible; I was a butterfly but one with repressed energy wanting to escape due to a lack of interaction with people or ponies consistently, I now more than ever wanted to impress Celestia and please her.
"Okay Celestia, I will try." I shyly promised.
"Wonderful, I believe in you; failure is part of learning so never fear failing, only giving up." Celestia cooed softly and motherly as she cups my cheek making me blush.
Celestia in turn gave me her signature warm, maternal smile of assurance as I repaid her back with a stronger smile.
"Now then there is work to be done for you and let's see if Twilight has come yet; if not...Well I shall wish you luck with Blueblood." She said chuckling a little feeling sympathetic for what I may face tailing the stuck up prince.
I agreed and we walked out of the Board Room to the Throne Room where visitors go to meet before they do anything.
"Why did you choose October to make your reveal Celestia?"
"I like the Fall a lot; the air is so clean, pure, crisp. Also it symbolizes the end of the isolation between our world and yours, and the beginning of what I hope is like the Autumn a clean, pure meeting where there is peace, calm and harmony."
"My mother also loves the Fall for a similar reason."
"Seems we would get along well then, and I would wish to as well as meet your friends one day; as you may know and I wish to be made clear I become close to those I befriend and I see them beyond friends and more like family."
"A trait many admire about you and would admire more to know is true, you and Luna do so much at personal cost of what you enjoy you just as much Celestia, years without your sister, the other world's Sombra, Sunset Shimmer..."
"You went through more than one should and lost what no one should even if you regained some of what was lost."
Celestia was rather moved by my words and how I spoke, I seemed to have got her understood her, I had what some fans may have and that is a deeper understand and respect for her and what she had to endure for so long often alone even with other ponies helping her but it wasn't the same when those she cared most were not meant to be, driven away by her own hand or by the pony themselves for their own flaws.
"Thank you Jesse; I am so touched by your care and sympathy, it also was so comforting like that of empathy; you spoke as though you had shared my pain yet you didn't go through it."
"I was said to have a subliminal empathy and sympathy, that is why I stood out because my autism should not have these emotions yet I have both in spades."
"A blessing and a gift, given for a reason Jesse and your spiritual gift shall be rewarded one day I can bet you this and I have had time & practice so I say, like with Twilight I see a potential in you."
"Will I be getting wings and a horn? Did Larson put you up to this?" I asked with a smirk, this got her.
Celestia had the warmest and most heart-tugging laughs, it was something anyone once they heard would want to hear from her again because she gives you the feeling she doesn't laugh enough and should do so more.
"Oh Jesse you clown." She giggled wiping her eyes.
"I try~" I replied then pinch my nose then saying 'Squawnky', making her giggle again.
Finally we reached the Throne Room, we looked to see who would be there waiting; it was to my relief that there waiting patiently was the one I wanted to assist first, Princess Twilight.

Twilight's the Last Gleaming
Chapter 6: Asst-ing to: Twilight
Right now after a long and busy day of assisting the solar sister I was now about to help the Princess of Friendship herself, Twilight Sparkle. Princess Twilight was a rather beautiful mare, from the images of her as a unicorn she was pretty looking, I was not sure if it was she got older or becoming an alicorn had a part in this but the bookish mare blossomed into a marvelous mare; she stood at '6-7" medium build, a healthy bust and hips that flow fluidly with the whole figure, she was wearing a suit like Celestia that complimented her color scheme, wearing purple half-inch heels and her crown, her mane was free flowing not done up in a style.
"Twilight! Welcome to Canterlot." Celestia greeted warmly as she hugged Twilight.
"Thank you Celestia, great to be here; and is this?..."
"Yes he is, he will be assisting you for the day."
"Has he been efficient?" Twilight asked as she made her way over to me.
"Yes he has, and been very composed." Celestia chimed.
I admit I had to blush as she did; composed my ass, while the sisters were easy on the eyes something about Twilight made my heart flutter and skip a beat as she glided to me, her hips having a subtle sway to them with each step, her chest gently rising & falling, moving as she places a foot in front of the other; also her tail swished and swayed gently almost in slow-mo to me.
"P-Princess Twilight." I forced out but it sounded more composed than I thought I was as I lightly bowed.
"Please that is not necessary, I'm alright with it but I am not that formal about my title." Twilight said waving her hand
to instruct me to cease bowing.
"Common habit sorry to repeat with you." I replied blushing I later realized about now.
"You going to be alright Jesse?" Twilight giggled.
It honestly didn't help the situation with Celestia smirking like the Cheshire Cat behind her looking right at me with a smile that screamed if not taunted me saying 'I see you getting flustered and I find it funny/cute'.
"Yes your Highness, I will be." I was not sure if I was even sweating all I hoped was we got to work soon.
"Okay then Jesse let's get going then." Twilight giggled as she walked off to leave the room.
I made way to follow her when I got a throat clearing from Celestia, I look to see what she might wish to tell me but all I got from her was a smirk and her left brow lifting up...Thanks Trollestia.
I walked off at last to trail Twilight as we headed to whichever task Twilight had.
"So Twilight, what is it you need help on today?"
"I need another hand in sorting out a wave of fan mail."
"I feel bad for you already, imagine the fan mail you will get later."
"I know but Celestia assures me she will ensure that despite the following we all will get there will be rules about what tourists will do and what they can't do."
"That is a relief, you deal with enough attention."
"It's not all bad, some is sweet and welcomed; besides I have somepony's attention that matters most."
"Oh? Who?"
"My coltfriend, Flash."
"Oh...Right him." I said which I was afraid came across as bitter, I had to remember my place; I was the secretary, she was the princess, and I was not the love of her life, or anyone else but my current girlfriend, as distant as we were.
"You know him?"
"Yes and details are not totally necessary but I know him, how is he?"
Twilight's expression was heartwarming and adorable as she seemed to look off like Flash himself was standing there or approaching and with a dreamy expression sighs.
"He makes me feel less stressed out, when I'm with him it feels like I'm normal again; I don't think about being a princess and I can be like your average mare."
"Sounds like he either is under pressure to treat you right or your brother is threatening him with a kind-hearted 'You break her heart I will break you' ."
Twilight laughed at this and shook her head dismissively.
"No~! He's not dealing with any of that, Jesse you are too much." she says giggling trying to regain her composure.
"But if you ask about how he is and where he is, he's in the Crystal Empire again and doing well; he writes me when he can."
"You are quite lucky, my girlfriend and I could be doing better far as contact.."
"Really? What seems to be the problem?"
"Well I and her are a distance apart, she lives in the state of Idaho 900+ miles one was over a thousand another nor-east of my state; she and I at the start were more or less in communication, but over time that became more sparse."
"Long-distant relationships are very hard Jesse, there is...And I bet you don't want to hear it but a 70% failure; but if it makes you feel better one statistic would put it at only 40%."
Twilight I think pulled something or was serious when she added that last part to encourage me not to despair.
"It helps a little bit, but I worry because..." I trail off part of me rather not dwell on the pathetic fact of my track record.
"You don't have to share it if you don't want to Jess, I understand this is some kind of stakes level deal."
"Thanks Twilight, I rather not ruin the mood and distract your thoughts."
"Of course, but I do insist that if something is truly troubling you don't hesitate to tell me."
"I will keep that in mind." I consented, for I felt if things did turn sour for me in the future I will be needing a kind mare to comfort me in my depression.
After we walked a ways we find ourselves in the library, no doubt Twilight would have chosen this place to find peace of mind to work on replying the mail she received.
Twilight sat at a desk that had a pile of letters by it, she probably had them sent here which would confirm the theory of what we were doing here, I took a chair and sat beside her; we began our work with no further word and I took letter after letter reading each one and she told me what I should write.
I then after observing her writing style did my best to impersonate her writing and replied as needed, we would be here quite a while so there was no hurry to be done with this assignment, such a monotonous task was going to be apparent.
"Thank you so much for helping me out Jesse, I know what your job is but I give you permission to tap out if you like and attend other assignments."
"I appreciate the offer Twilight, but we only started; I will keep your offer in mind only when I need it, until then I will stay."
Twilight could only smile at my dutiful attitude, she I could guess was maybe surprised I would choose to stay for this grueling paperwork responding to fan-mail because had it been someone else she wouldn't doubt that they would have bowed out and moved onto something less repetitive.
"If you say so, thank you for considering it anyways and I will think nothing of it if you do choose to stop."
"Thank you Twilight."
"What do you think of this job so far though?"
"Honestly? It is tasking and requires patience I did not think I had; but I feel important I was trusted with this."
"I feel like I am contributing even if it is to a world I do not live in."
"You don't need to feel like you are doing something when you partake in tasks of great work or selflessness Jesse, I know it sounds strange or contradicting, but even when you can't do anything you can still find a way to contribute."
"Even those who can't move due to a disability can do great things, depends on what it is but it can be beneficial if for the right reason; it is very easy to mistake an act of nobility as an act of selfishness."
"How do you figure?"
"Well say for example 2 people are doing a selfless act, anything selfless; but which person is doing it to benefit others and which is doing it to benefit himself? The one person could be doing something purely because it is the right thing while the other is acting thinking he/she will gain something out of it."
"That is a heavy message." I said letting Twilight's words sink in.
"It's the truth is it not?"
"I think it does sound like it."
"It's one that many never really give much thought especially those who think they are righteous, it is a truth that is hard to take, it really make one evaluate what their intentions are."
"It does...Where did that come from Twilight?"
"I thought I just should help you feel not so ashamed of yourself not yet finding accomplishment in your life, I want to make sure you know what matters most and that you are not finding success; you are simply moving onto a greater one."
"Thank you Twilight, that helps me a lot." I said with a smile, honestly her words helped me a little; I worried about my romantic future but the worry I had for my financial/productive future was now totally gone.
Twilight and I spent more time to finish up her task at hand about an hour more before wrapping up for now.
"I think that is all for this day."
"Aw already? My hand was almost numb to holding my quill."
Twilight giggled and rolled her eyes at the sarcasm and put away what she carried on her and sealed her inkwell before standing.
"I'm afraid this is where your service to me ends, I will be heading for Ponyville now."
"I was afraid you would say that, I hope maybe Blueblood has gone on to do whatever he wanted and has no need for me."
"Cheer up Jess, you will be fine; I think he will be not as big a pain as you think."
"Famous last words." I dryly reply.
"Behave you~ If you are polite and strong willed you may find a way to overcome anything Blueblood throws at you, you don't have to do everything he says you are not a butler."
"Sure thing Twilight." I say with a slight sigh but was comforted by a smile from the purple alicorn as we made our way. I however had to part from her to deliver the mail to the Royal Mail Room so the letters Twilight and I replied to would be sent to the respective pony.
"Have a good day Jesse, well done; I'll first tell Celestia your work performance."
"Thank you Massa." I playfully say.
Twilight giggled again at my antics, "Must you always make jokes? You sure you haven't been around Pinkie yet? Or Rainbow?"
"Keeps my attitude light."
"I like the idea but tone it down just a little, just a hair okay?"
"Yes Twilight, I will."
Twilight nods with a smile before she then left for the Thrones Room, I then made my way with a large cart for mail being pushed down the hallways.
It was a lot of postage, it was heavier than I expected as I pushed it along, passing staff as I trudged onward. Luckily the mail room was not too far away but it was not close enough for my liking.
"Letters from Princess Twilight, handle with deep care." I ordered as I walk up to the sorting station in the room.
"Yes sir." A mare sorting answered, she had a red coat, brown mane, and blue eyes; wearing a white shirt with a grey vest over it and a matching skirt.
The mail room was huge! It was at least 30 yards from the door long, about 25 yards wide and the ceiling was easily 25 feet.
So I left the room and headed also back to the Thrones' Room to get my next assignment.
As I made my way back I passed Twilight making her way out, we smile as we pass then keep walking; finally I made it and Celestia...Was not alone.
"Hello again new staff, I trust you will be quite helpful in my day to day tasks I must deal with with but only so short a time to myself."
It was him, the one I was cringing at having to help even though part of me knew I was going to, the stuck-up unicorn prince himself, the privileged pretty colt who was lucky Rarity was not willing to shove a heel up up his Armani's seat...
"Prince Blueblood, good afternoon; what is it I am assisting you with today?"
TO BE CONTINUED.
