My Little Pony:Marriage is Magic

It was a few weeks after the marriage of Princess Luna and Twilight Sparkle. In fact, they had just returned from their honeymoon on a small island offshore of Equestria, and were now present, waiting in a room one door away. Celestia turned and looked at Rarity, wearing a small smile on her face. The white unicorn was bustling around, straightening up things and fretting over essentially everything.

"Rarity?" Asked Celestia quietly, and her fiancee was at her side in a moment.

"Yes, Tia?" They had long since dropped the royal titles, simply calling each other by name or nickname.

"It's time." They gazed into each others' eyes for a moment before Celestia broke their gaze, turning towards the doors. Together, they magically opened the doors and began walking up the aisle in slow, even steps. Their trains were supported by Fluttershy's birds, who were also singing the wedding march. As they arrived at the altar, Celestia's wings blew open momentarily, a resemblance of her happiness, before the Mayor began speaking.

"We are gathered here today to witness the union of two mares. Though one is the ruler, the other merely a unicorn, they are in true love, and shall not be suppressed by anypony. However, if there are any objections, please state them now." A calm silence filled the air for a few moments, and Celestia turned back towards Rarity, away from the mayor, and was shocked to see Rarity gazing at one of her subjects... who was it? Ah yes, Caesar. That pesky, snooty snob. Probably innocent staring at the outlandish hat he was wearing, Celestia told herself. "Very well then. We shall proceed. The couple has created their own vows, with which they shall be wed." Rarity cleared her throat, and her eyes moistened a bit.

"Princess Celestia Regail, I love you with all my heart, and always will. Through illness or health, for rich or for poor, and through any situations that shall arise til death do us part. Princess Celestia Regail, will you be my lawfully wedded wife?"

"I will. Rarity Filigree, I love you with all my heart, and always will. Through illness or health, for rich or for poor, and through any situations that shall arise til death do us part. Rarity Filigree, will you be my lawfully wedded wife?"

"I will."

"Then I pronounce you mare and mare! The rings please?" Spike stepped forward once again, carrying three rings. First, Rarity and Celestia lifted the rings and fit them onto each others' horns. Then, to finish it, Rarity lifted the third ring and fit it onto Celestia's wing, letting it meld with the feather. As they finished, they leaned in for a passionate kiss. Their horns met and a small heart floated into the air, breaking over the two.

"Oh wait!" Exclaimed Rarity, breaking the kiss. Magically lifting the bouquet, she flung it into the audience, letting it land in the lap of a startled Fluttershy, who squeaked as it fell on her. "Hurray!" Cheered Rarity, and Celestia joined in, followed by the rest of the audience as Fluttershy cowered down with a blush covering her face. Without warning, Celestia magically yanked off her and her wife's dress, and with a flap of her wings, she gave the cue for Pinkie to fire her signature party cannon. As the floor under them changed to a hard marble and music filled the air, Celestia had the strangest thought.

Were Rarity's vows honest?
