Six months after their defeat Adagio, Aria, and Sonata get invited back to CHS. At first, they are hesitant to attend, thinking that it is some kind of joke but soon find out that it is genuine and mandatory.

When the Rainbooms find out that the Dazzlings will be returning to school, they are all both shocked and skeptical, that is, except for Sunset Shimmer. She sees the Dazzlings return as an opportunity to befriend them. However, the task will not be easy, as neither the Rainbooms nor the Dazzlings have any interest in becoming friends with one another...
