The story takes place 300 years after the banishment of Nightmare Moon to the Moon. But to keep her reputation, Princess Celestia decided to ban or edit all the books that talked about anything which could prove that The Mare in the Moon is her own sister. These books contained many of Starswirl's own finds about the Elements of Harmony as well as other books that talked about the Crystal Empire, Discord, the Sirens and of course about Princess Luna herself.
But on a certain moment, a pony called Omega Flame becomes dangerously interested in a so called 'Spell of Harmony' and where it was lost. Princess Celestia tries to do everything to sabotage Omega without losing her reputation as a good and kind leader.
