2877: On its maiden patrol, a carrier of the United Colonial Federation named Flame of Hope, picks up a distress signal from a convoy under attack from raiders near a dying star.
But during the battle, that star finally gives it's last breath and appears to take the doomed carrier with it.

But what nobody knows, is that the crew of the Flame, are very much alive.
Nobody that is, except for the inhabitants of the planet Equus.
