//UNSC Colony Aries, 25/2/2562

The sound of machinery and footsteps fill the air as the excavation team tries to get into the Forerunner facility. It was deep below the planet's surface and the only way of detecting is by looking for abnormal cave openings in the badland regions. Finally the excavation team consisting of soldier's, archaeologist, and scientist opened the door leading the deeper systems of the facility. They inspect everything from architecture, the console's, etc...

"What do you think they do inside here doc?" Asked one of the soldiers to the scientist. "I mean i've heard they hold containment facilities to learn about the flood-" He was interrupted when the scientist put her finger on his lips

"Don't worry trooper, this is not that kind of facility" She replied, taking her finger off from the soldier's lips. "This facility is used for weapon's and slipspace research to further combat the flood." The soldier nods slowly while trying to comprehend the information he just given.

The duo we're interrupted when the professor activated the hard light bridge that leads to one of the facility's lab. The entire bridge was made of light and can withstand any type of damage given to it, although it is super advance it can be easily deactivated by destroying the console controlling the bridge. The small platoon continued to walk on the bridge and wait for the door to open, a few seconds later the door opened.

"Neato" Stated the soldier as he lower down his pistol to his waist. "Wait, this place seems more like a lib-" He was interrupted when the professor shove him gently and gasped widely.

"A Library!!" She exclaimed while the soldier grunts a bit after being interrupted. "Sgt. Ryans, call the rest of the team here they would love what we've found here" Ordered the professor, the sergant nodded and opened inter-comm.

"Everyone, we've found something interesting that the scientist's might like, i'm sending the coordinates right now" said Ryan.

After thirty minutes of waiting for the rest to get here, everyone had arrived to the library including the scientist and the archaeologist. They all gasped in enjoyment and walked much more faster to the consoles. The professor feeling a little bit hipster decided to walk around a bit in the library, trying to find information that might be valuable. After awhile of snooping around the library, she saw a console beeping. She walked to the console and activated it, there she played a pre-recorded message that was made hundreds of thousands years ago. The console scanned the professor for a moment before processing.

"Processing Language Complete: English, Playing pre-recorded message" Said the console as it played the message.

"Greetings to any life forms that is hearing this in the far distant future, i am one of the many Forerunner trapped inside one of the outer colonies facilities."

"As we all know the flood had been infecting entire worlds in an alarming rate, we have been making a super weapon called Halo." said the Forerunner. "A weapon use to wipe any sentient life in the galaxy" said the professor in unison with the Forerunner.

"But recently we discovered a temperate planet in the outer orion arm, located in the horse-head nebulae." Suddenly the professor is interested again. "We've tried going to the planet and failed numerous time, apparently because of the gravitational well of the planet our ships will crash in the surface."

"The only way to get to the planet is to exit out of slipspace inside the atmosphere, while there would be destructive consequence's with exiting out of slipspace stream inside orbit, the pay off was worth it ." the Forerunner turned his head to the left after hearing multiple boom outside the surface. "They've begun the glassing procedure, soon everyone in this facility will die due to lack of oxyge. If any reclaimers get this message good luck with the mantle, this is Doctor. Pr signing off one last time." the message ends, oh boy ONI will sure love the news.

Humanity's Homeworld Earth, 26/3/2562

The council was ecstatic with new reports from the excavation team in Aries, saying that they've found a huge library containing vast amounts of information about their empire, but thats not why they are excited for. They were informed by one of the professor that they have found an earth like planet located 90.341 lightyears away from Earth. They have decided to ready up an infinity-class warship followed by a captured CAS-Assault Carrier that was stolen two years back by the infinity. Anchor 12 was flared with activity from troops gearing up and moving in to the ships to ready up the supplies needed as they will be gone for quite awhile. All troops have been fully informed of the situation and understood all orders given to them.

A tall tan man about 6'2 feet tall in his early thirties walked in to the bridge, he's highly decorated with badges, and a clean white uniform followed by a white tip-track fedora. He's has side-shaved brown hair, and a muscular body but not to buff. He is Admiral Mccree, and his presence demanded the highest respect of all crew members in the ship. He was followed by an engineer, he chat with the engineer a bit asking him about his home, plans for the future, before focusing in their main objective.

"What's the current status of the engine, is it ready to go?" He asked to the engineer.

"Yes sir, we've inserted the new slipspace drive couple days ago and test it to Reach." he replied. "It only took us thirty minutes to reach there, so it should be good to go." Continued the engineer.

"Good, go do the final checkups again we'll be leaving in a moment." Ordered the admiral, the engineer nodded and get straight to work.

He finally arrived at the bridge of the UNSC infinity-class warship dubbed Oblivion. The surrounding soldier saluted as he passed by them, he sat in his command chair where in its arm rest, a holographic lady had been waiting for him.

"Took you awhile." Stated Melissa as she gave him a smirk. "Let's get to work shall we sir?" she cheerfully asked, while the Admiral sits down on his command chair.

"Like the old times, all hands on deck, prepare for slipspace jump." He ordered to the AI, she nodded and set up an announcement. Soon after the announcement everyone ran to their stations and do final check ups. After a few moments Melissa nodded her head a bit.

"Slipspace drive is all set, ready to exit in the atmosphere?" She asked.

"I think so, lets get this party started." he replied. "All ships get ready for slipspace jump to... Equis in 3 2 1!" He pressed the button signifying to jump, and soon they are inside the portal.

"We'll be there in an hour, sit back and enjoy the ride" Said the AI as she plays some relaxing music in the bridge.

Mccree had taken a nap in his chair while waiting to exit out of the jump, it was a nice nap but it was rudely interrupted when sirens started ringing all over the ship. Annoyed by this he turned on the AI beside him.

"Melissa what the hell is going on!" The admiral exclaimed as he smashed his arm in the left side of the armrest.

"I-I'm not s-sure, let me check in with the engineers." She flashed out of existence leaving a grumpy admiral waiting for her, a few moments later it turned back on.

"Sir we're about to exit out of slipspace!" The AI shouted, the admiral soon start panicking before giving snapping back to reality.

"All hand's on deck, triple check the engine system's once we're out, enhance the shields by two hundred percent, and alert everyone that we're exiting out of slipspace." Ordered the Admiral as he layback to his chair again.

It was night time in Ponyville and all the little filly's and foals are all tucked up in bed right now, however a lavender mare stood in her balcony looking through her telescope. She was pointing out all the dotted specs that dominated the night sky, as well as the spiral galaxy the system is in. She sighed silently not wanting to wake up her draconic assistant that is sleeping right next to her, she chuckled silently before looking back through her telescope. She slightly nudged Spike telling him to wake up.

"MMhhghh, what is it Twi?" The dragon grunted, only to for the Mare to chuckle.

"Time for you to get inside, don't want to ruin your back do you" She grinned slightly, only to have a glare from the dragon.

"Yeah i guess so..." He grunted silently and closes the door behind him.

"Oh spike..." She chuckled before walking to her secondary study table that was recently added to her balcony, it was littered with book's and cabels that are connected to a console right next to the table. She adjust the radio dish a bit pointing to a particular star system 40 lightyears away from Equis.

"Alright restarting the mainframe, collecting all known data about the Star system... Sol, sending radio wave's, estimated time: 320 Day's Ughhh I can't wait that long." She groaned and punches the side of the console, which caused it to send radio wave's in all directions. She didn't notice that it was pointed to all directions in space, so she continued looking at the Sol system.

Things had been weird lately for the past eight year's, constant meteorite crashes near the everfree and other kingdom's, bright flashy light's coming from nearby star system's and a burnt skeleton that was recently discovered inside the Canterlotian cave system's inside the mountain. She soon slept for awhile before she heard a large thump in the sky. It was really cloudy now, Twilight groaned since she can't look at the stars now. There it was again but this time when Twilight looked up to the sky, she saw a huge explosion in the sky, luckily  it was to far up to do any sorts of damage.

"Sir we've exited out of Slipspace" Stated the officer.

"Good send out the peli-" He was interrupted when the alarm rang for the second time.

"Admiral, the ship's matter is critical we have to make an emergency landing in the nearby forest." Said the AI in a serious tone.

"Alright then, contact the other ship that we're making an emergency landing, afterwards send out the engineer's and pelican's for damage report" Ordered the admiral, the AI only nodded before turning off again.

Even though the ship exited out of slipspace, doesn't mean it wouldn't keep its speed momentum. The ship hummed loudly across the sky and cut through the cloud to reveal the landscape of the planet, it was exactly like Reach before it turned industrial and all. The crew gave out a sigh of relief, its been too long since they've seen a beautiful and colourful landscape, most of the remaining planet's looked like shit after the remaining rebellion that followed after the war. The ship slow down a bit and began its descend to the planet's surface.

"32,000 feet above surface" The officer shouted while reading the ships altitude.

"27,000 feet above surface" He continued.

"20,000 feet above surface"

"10,000 feet"

"3,000 feet" He said before finally the ship gracefully landed in the everfree forest, there was a large thump when they landed and the lights turned green once more.

"And we have touchdown!" The Admiral shouted in joy as the crew in the bridge are all celebrating their successful landing. The Admiral chuckled for a moment before the bridge went silent again by the Admiral.

"Remember everyone, this is only the first part of the operation, send out the pelican's to scout the nearby terrain, if any civilization is found retreat immediately without any ONI permission, am i clear?" Asked the Admiral and the whole bridge exploded with sound "Yes Admiral Sir!" They shouted in unison that a guy located in the third room in the same level as the bridge can hear the shouting, certainly helps his cup of coffee in the night. Engineer's went to multiple key facilities such as the docking bay, reactor room, engine's, etc... while two pelican's are checking the ship's hull. The engineer's below said that all facilities are working perfectly fine and that the matter would be up again in a couple of day's, The same goes for the pelican's, meanwhile three dozen pelican's exit out of the ship to scout the surrounding environment, each pelican consists of 16 personalls and 3 crew.

"Alright Marine's, suit up we're dropping in!" Said the dark skinned sergeant, by the looks of it he's in his late thirties. He has a muscular build and has a scar in his right eye. "Do not shoot if any inhuman bitches ain't attacking you, i'm looking at you Jennings" He glared to the marine that was sleeping for a moment, he was startled when he was punched in the shoulder by the sergeant. "What the hell are you doing marine? Go ready up your lazy ass and prepare to drop." The sergeant shoved the marine to the wall. "Sorry Sarge!" He saluted and began readying up. The light in the bay soon turn green and the sergeant pull out his brown cigar out of his mouth. "Trooper's drop in your lazy asses" The sergeant ordered and dropped to the ground, the light was blinding even when its midnight, the pelican landed in the far outskirt's of Ponyville.

"Sarge, i'm detecting radio signal, one mile ahead of us!" The Marine shouted as he holster his battle rifle to hear the signal.

"Well spit it out marine, who does it belong?" The sergeant asked as the squad scouted the area.

"Unknown, but its getting stronger the further we go right." He continued.

"Send the signal back to the Infinity for it to be deciphered, we're just here to scout not check in some old clunky radio signal" Said the sergeant. He heard a branch nearby snapped, he ready's his weapon and turned off safety mode. "Marine's we got company..." He whispered, when suddenly a pack of wolves appeared.

"Fire at will shitheads!" Exclaimed the sergeant as the squad soon barraged the wolves with their firearms, destroying them instantaneously while the remaining wolve's retreated back to the forest. "The hell- these wolves aren't even made of flesh or bone" Stated by one of the marine's. "No shit sherlock, send the data back to the Infinity as well, we need as much intel as we can get" another marine came up and picked up the wood that was glowing yellow. "This will be a sweet collection for my shelve back at home" He put the wood inside his pocket along side his M6 Series handgun.

Twilight stood in her balcony in confusion, what the buck just happened?, she just saw an explosion out of nowhere in the cloud's, boy i hope Cloudsdale is doing fine, as well as Rainbow dash. She shrugged it off and looked at the cloud's once more to see any more detail of the explosion, what she saw was far different than she hoped, a five kilometre object just cut through the cloud's and its heading straight for the Everfree, after 5 minutes of utter silence and humming from the ship, the ship finally crash-landed in the everfree.

"Spike?!!!" She slammed opened the door and that made Spike jumped out of his bed and hit his head.

"Oww what's going on-?" He was cut when Twilight soon dashed forward to him. She grabbed him by her levitation magic and head straight for the balcony. "Hey wha-" he was soon interrupted by Twilight which made him groaned a bit.

"Send a letter to Celestia, Dear princess Celestia, lately i've been observing the stars in my balcony alot more often in hopes of founding life, while i didn't find any success in sending more radio wave's to the Sol system, a five kilometre object flew over Ponyville and crash landed in the Everfree forest. Your dearest student, Twilight Sparkle" Spike wrote down all what she said and burned the message.**

"Done, now what do you mean by flying object?" He asked.

"You see that huge source of light right at the edge of the Everfree? that the thing." She pointed out with her hoof and looked at the smoke.

"Soooo basically alien's is that what you're saying?" He asked once more, his only response was a nod from Twilight.

"Yep and we're going to find out if their friendly or not." She went back inside and tuck herself in bed, its going to be a big day for Equestria, no the entire Equis planet.
