The New Big Head Killer

III: A Murder Conspiracy

Previous Chapter

Once the one liner was muttered, Hugo slammed the door behind himself, with a snarky grin on his face. "Justice is served finally."

Trying to enjoy his day with a grin, he walked home at a normal pace as not to disrupt peace in town. Fifteen minutes pass, and he is back in front of the apartment complex. Looking at the broken glass door, he seemed a bit uneasy," Oops..... I didn't think I broke it THAT bad....Oh well, luckily the landlord doesn't know the person behind the mask..." Hugo chuckled a bit, made sure he was in the safe zone to go to his room, and knowing that he was, he quickly went to his room and locked the door.

"Hm, now is this as easy as somepony'd expect?" Hugo said, wondering how to get the mask off his face. When the only thought that made sense came to his mind, he took action, and put his hooves behind his head, ripping off the mask from himself. The mask appeared in his hooves as he first saw it, and knew he couldn't have it out and about. With the thought staying in his mind, he put it in his satchel on the table for the moment, and went to his couch to lay down.

He picked up the television remote, turned the TV on, and flickered through channels to find something interesting to watch, stopping on the news to see what was going on. Paying his attention to the TV, he tuned in to what was going on at the moment.

Every photographer, journalist, cop, and anypony with a keen interest of gossip was at the scene, the murder scene. It seemingly happened hours after the killer got his way, not exactly killing him, but leaving him to die. Waldo Winter, a robber of grocery stores in the city, was nailed to a metal box and had all of his teeth hammered out, only shock was in his face when he was found.

It was a detective who found the body, Gerald Winston, and knowing that there was no saving him in his condition, he had to wake him up and ask him about it. Sure, it seemed cruel and devil-hearted, but he was the only shot they had at the torturer. Shaking Waldo a bit, and smaking him, Gerald got him to wake up, but only after breathing in extremely heavy.

"Sir! Do you know your name? What happened to you? Who did this to you?"

The man, with blood nearly drained from him, quietly responded," Waldo....my name...there was...pony...name...Big Head....Huuuhoah....Tell...I...Am sorry......" With his final sentiments given to Gerald, his head finally gave up on him, and his organs were all shut down. In short, he was dead.

"That is what he told me, Lieutenant, the man was Waldo Winter, and the murderer is thought to be someone called 'Big Head'." Many photos were taken of the scene and his side of the story was written down by every journalist in town. The story was massive, and the investigation didn't lead them anywhere. There were no hoofprints, implying the murderer was wearing something over them, no strands of fur or hair, and nothing to go off of, except that maybe the killer has a big head.

The cops and news gave it all they had to find the killer, but they were not victorious. The murder was so unexpected, it even got the attention of the Princesses, as murder was a rare thing in Equestria, let alone a torture this brutal. But with nothing to go after, they decided to give up on the case for now, even though the kill scarred most ponies, if not all.

Even after the dropping of the case, Gerald still tried to continue the case, scavenging every piece of evidence he possibly could. Days later, and still, he was as close as he was when he started. Sitting in his office that day, he sipped his coffee, and decided," I will continue the search, even if it leads to my demise. I must stop this..... Big Head Killer."

"I thought filly fooling was behind ponies nowadays, Rainer." Hugo whispered as he consumed everything the TV fed him. "Weirdos now will have to serve justice, because those dumb cops can't seem to do anything right. This is a job for me." Standing up, he cracked his hooves and stood over the table, staring longingly at the satchel and mask.

"So what's on the platter for today?" Hugo said slowly to himself,"Cheese, wine, fruit, or finally having that date with the filly fiddler? Ha! Like there's even a decision! Gotta make good first impressions!." With a dastardly look in his eyes, and peered in his bag, pushing his face into it to find the mask. "Time for fun!" he said, as if he were a young colt in an ice cream parlor.

With the full transformation done, he had looked in the mirror with a raised brow. With the licking of his hoof, he planted the hoof on his neck, making a sizzling sound. "Who wouldn't want a handsome face like this? Too bad they'd never understand.."

Making his way out of the apartment building, he tried not to break the door again, wearing a hood over his head to ensure nobody questions him from a distance. With nothing on his mind except Rainer, many questions planted themselves in his head:

How could this pony be that much of a problem? Why don't the police take action if they know a pedo is on the loose in a public area very often? And finally, what would the pony deserve.

Nothing gave Hugo more tingles than the thought of what he'd do to the unforgiving, unlovable soul that had broke a major law.

Nothing would prepare the horror the next victim of his would endure. Rainer had one last day to be genuinely happy, if he was a happy pony that is.

Author's Note

Boom. Done. Maybe not as good as the first or second, but I wanted to finally implement the second side of the story. Hopefully nothing goes bad with this way of writing.

Hope you enjoyed, and please leave criticism on what I could improve!

Thanks for reading!
