Chapters The secret of Crystal Haze
Her name is Hannah Morris. For a fourteen year old, it's pretty cool to have an eighteen years old sister, but even cooler if you hang out with her eighteen year old friends. It was just a normal day in San Francisco. Warm sunlight, cool breeze, and the group of girls were taking advantage of every moment.
Pepper and Sage were making kites, Rebecca was listening to music, Fiona was sketching a beautiful picture of a cherry blossom tree, flowers in full bloom, and Teresa and Hannah were tossing a Frisbee to each other.
"Get ready to go long, Teresa!" Hannah yelled to her sister.
"You know I'm always ready!" Teresa said back.
Hannah threw the Frisbee far, but Teresa managed to catch it before it went into the road.
" Good catch!" Hannah yelled.
"Coming right back at you!" Teresa retorted.
She threw the Frisbee, and Hannah chased it, just as an old woman fell in the road.
Teresa watched as everyone ignored the woman and walk past her like she was invisible. She soon started to walk across the road to help the lady.
Hannah caught the Frisbee.
"Good catch. Huh, Teresa?" Hannah asked. "Teresa?"
Hannah watched as her sister walked across the road, completely unaware that a semi-truck was heading straight for her.
"Teresa!" Hannah yelled while running toward her sister. "Teresa! Look out, a truck!"
Teresa turned her head to see the truck speeding toward her, and froze.
Hannah began to run across the road, straight to her sister.
"Teresa!" She yelled one last time, before she pushed Teresa to the side of the road, and the truck hit her.
The old woman was standing up, both hands covering her mouth as she muttered "Oh lord, almighty."
"Hannah?" Teresa asked, hoping that Hannah would stir at the sound of her name. "Hannah! Hannah, wake up, please!"
All of the girls watched as Teresa ran to her sister and stared at her.
Hannah's right arm and left leg were twisted at impossible angles, and she was laying in a pool of her own blood, the only thing that gave Teresa hope on Hannah's survival, was the quick and shallow breaths she was taking.
"Hannah." Teresa said quietly as she picked up the mangled and bloody body of her younger sister.
"I'm sorry, Hannah. I'm so sorry." She sobbed. "I failed you."
Hannah's brown eyes fluttered open.
"Teresa," she said weakly. "Teresa, what's going on? I'm scared."
"Hannah, you're gonna be okay. Everything will be okay."
"Teresa, if I don't make it, tell Aunt Diana that I've always loved her, and that I'm thankful for her taking care of me and you after mom and dad died."
"Hannah, don't say something like that. You're going to make it, I know you will. You've always been a fighter, and I know that you will recover from this."
Teresa hardly choked out that last sentence before she shook with sobs.
"Teresa," Hanna said.
"Yes, Hannah?"
"Did you know that you're beautiful, even when you're crying. From my angle, the sun frames your face and makes you look like an angel from heaven."
Hannah barely said the last word before losing consciousness in her sisters arms.
All of the girls watched the whole thing unfold before them as though they were reading a compelling book. But Rebecca had seen enough.
"Guys!" Rebecca yelled, "Are you just gonna watch this like it's a horror movie, or are you gonna do something!"
"What can we do?" Fiona asked. She was not the sharpest tool in the shed.
"Call 911, moron!" Rebecca snapped.
Within a second, Pepper had her phone pulled out and was dialing emergency services. There wasn't a second to lose, because in Hannah's case, her time was running out.

The ER waiting room wasn't any fun, especially if someone you care about was rushed into emergency surgery. In Hannah's case, she was brought in just in time.
The girls were all sitting in the waiting room, worry and fear washing over them. Teresa was crying on Sage's shoulder. Hannah's emergency surgery was now in hour three. The door that leads from the waiting room to the parking lot opened, revealing a woman, only in her mid 30's, walked in and sat down next to the girls.
"Aunt Diana." Teresa said, wrapping her arms around her aunt.
"Teresa, I'm so sorry. I would've gotten here sooner, but I completely broke down after I got the call. I'm do sorry, Sweetheart."
"It's okay, Aunt Diana."
"Is Hannah out of Surgery yet?"
"No. It's been three hours, but I'm sure she'll be okay."
Just as soon as Teresa finished her sentance, a young female doctor walked out of the OR. She sighed as she pulled her mask down so she could talk to the group.
"Pardon me, ma'am," Teresa asked, "but are you one of the doctors who operated on my sister, Hannah Olivia Morris?"
"Yes," she said, "I'm here to talk to you about her condition."
"Please ma'am, will my sister survive? I want to know."
The Doctor was shocked.
"Let me just show you." She said.

Walking through the halls of the ICU, many things ran through Teresa's mind, but one thing stayed prominent. The memory of when she first met her sister.
A four year old girl stood in the doorway of her mother's hospital room, her curly black hair falling in her face as she fidgeted.
"Come here, Teresa." Her father coaxed
"Okay." Teresa replyed.
She was nervous, she's never been a big sister, and she had a feeling that she wasn't ready. She stopped in front of her father, she looked at her mother with worried yet curious eyes.
Her mother shifted in bed to show her what was in the little pink blanket.
"Meet your new sister, Hannah Olivia Morris." Her mother said.
Teresa's fears melted away when she saw her baby sister open her eyes and smile at her. She remembered the last few words of the memory
"You're a big sister now, Teresa." Her father said.
The doctor's voice snapped Teresa out of her thoughts.
"Hannah received a variety of injuries. Her left leg was broken in eight places, her right arm in five. She had three broken ribs, damage to repairable organs, but miraculously, there was no damage to her brain. However, we're placing her in a medically induced coma so she does not need to face the pain and agony while conscious. But don't get your hopes up on her, there's a 50/50 % chance of survival."
"But, Hannah's a fighter," Teresa countered. "She won't go down easily."
"All of them are like that. But, here's her room."
The Doctor opened the door to reveal Hannah, laying in bed, hooked up to a ventilator, completely unconscious.
Teresa wanted to cry, but no tears came. Insted, she sat down in a chair, and heald her sister's hand.
"Don't worry, Hannah." Teresa whispered. "You're gonna be okay, everything will be okay."

It was a normal night in Ponyville, and Mr. And Mrs. Cake were in a big rush.
"Carrot, did you call the sitter?" Mrs. Cake asked.
"Yes, dear." Mr. Cake responded.
"Mama, what's going on?" Pumpkin Cake asked.
"Pumpkin, your brother has had a really bad fever all day. So we're taking him to the hospital just to make sure he's okay." Mrs. Cake said. "But not to worry, we called your favorite sitter since Pinkie is attending the Crystalling of Princess Me Amore Cadenza and Prince Shining Armor's baby."
"You mean Crystal Sugar!"
"Yes I do, sweetie."
Pumpkin proceeded to jump around while Mr. Cake answered the knock at the door. A young unicorn with light green fur, a black mane and tail, a cupcake with bright blue frosting and covered in jewles was her cutie mark, and in her orange colored magic aura, she heald a plush bunny for Pound.
"Hi Mr. Cake. Hi Mrs. Cake," Crystal said, "I brought this bunny for Pound, to make him feel better."
"Thank you, Crystal." Mrs. Cake said. "Carrot, Pound, C'mon."
"Coming, Mama." Pound said with a raspy voice.
"Hey, Pound." Crystal said sweetly, "got you this to make you feel better."
Pound took the plush bunny and smiled.
"Thanks Crystal." He said.
"C'mon, sweetie. Let's get you to the doctor. The sooner we leave, the sooner you feel better. Thanks again for coming on such short notice, Crystal." Mrs. Cake said.
"It's cool, Mrs. Cake. I love watching Pumpkin. Anyway, you get Pound to the doctor. See you later."
Mr., Mrs., and Pound Cake walked out of Sugarcube Corner and hailed a cab.
"Crystal," Pumpkin said, "Can you tell me the story of how you got your cutie mark?"
"Oh, Pumpkin," Crystal chuckled, "you don't want to hear that old story again."
"Oh, Crystal, I do!"
"Oh, okay. I was no older than you at that time. Your mom and dad heald they're first annual Filly and Foal Cupcake Competition for your's and your brother's baby shower. I was the youngest there, and I didn't have my cutie mark yet. Once the competition was underway I was baking up a storm. I made a dozen of Crystal Empire cupcakes, since I was born in Canterlot and raised in the Crystal Empire, I had to stay true to my roots. After I won the baking competition, your mom told me to look at my flank, and I noticed that I had gained my cutie mark."
"Wow, Crystal. I want to get my cutie mark just like you!"
"All right now, Pumpkin, Time for bed."
"Okay, Crystal."
Pumpkin tried to sleep, but thought too much about finding her cutie mark. She then used her blue magic aura to write a note.
Dear Crystal,
I'm going to the Everfree Forest to find my cutie mark. See you later! :)

"Pumpkin, you asleep?" Crystal asked as she walked into Pumpkin's room, but gasped seeing a note instead of a sleeping filly in bed.
"The Everfree Forest. Don't changelings live in caves there?! Pumpkin Cake! Oh, I have to save her, she doesn't know what she's getting herself into! I'm coming, Pumpkin!"
Crystal cast a spell to teleport her to the outskirts of the forest, where she saw the quick wisp of Pumpkin's bright orange tail, and started to run after her. Crystal saw Pumpkin stop at a cave, looking at a thousand glowing green eyes. Changelings. And they're about to attack.
Crystal ran up to Pumpkin and pushed her.
"Pumpkin, run!" Crystal yelled.
"But---," Pumpkin started to say.
"Just run!"
Pumpkin did as she was told, right before an entire army of changelings attacked Crystal. One hoof in her face, another hit her in the stomach, fangs and horns ripping at her flesh, hisses and screeches of changelings and the sound of her own screams filled the air. Crystal's whole world was going dark.
This is the end. she thought, before the whole world went dark.
A voice cut through the noise of the changelings fighting over food.
"Leave her alone, or you will all face me! " A Voice Boomed.
All the changelings whimpered and hid once again in the cave.
"That's what I thought! " the voice said again.
As the voice silenced, an alicorn with dark blue fur, and hair that looked like the midnight stars fluttered down to check on the injured unicorn.
"Princess Luna!" Pumpkin Yelled.
"Do you know who this is, little one?" Luna asked Pumpkin.
"Uh-Huh. Her name is Crystal Sugar, she's my sitter. She saved me from the monsters."
"Good thing you know her, because we need to get her to the hospital."
"Why is it a good thing that I know her?"
"Because, if we know her name, we'll be able to track down her parents. I'll take us to the ER."
"Why?"
"Because she's hurt really bad, little one. If we don't get her to help, she might die."
"I don't want her to die, Princess Luna."
"Then we have to get her to the hospital, and fast, little one."
Princess Luna used her light blue magic aura to teleport, Crystal, Pumpkin, and herself to the nearest hospital.

"Hello," Nurse Redheart said from behind the desk, "Welcome to Ponyville Memorial Hospital. How can I help you, Princess Luna?"
"Hello to you, too." Princess Luna Replyed, "But now is not a time for light chatter. I have an injured young unicorn, in desperate need of medical attention."
Nurse Redheart was in shock seeing Crystal in that bad of a condtion, but she knew immediately what to do.
"Nurse Honeybee, Nurse Snowflake, we need a stretcher. There's a young unicorn here suffering from severe injuries."
The two other nurses nodded and ran to get a stretcher.
"Pardon me Princess, but how was she injured?" Nurse Redheart asked.
Pumpkin piped up.
"She got hurt by monsters while trying to keep me safe."
"What the little one means is, Crystal Sugar here was injured by an army of changelings while trying to keep her protected."
Nurse Redheart looked at Pumpkin.
"Sweetie, are Mr. And Mrs. Cake your mommy and daddy?" She asked sweetly.
"Uh-Huh." Pumpkin said.
"Okay, sweetie. Nurse Stardust will take you to your mommy and daddy, while Princess Luna helps me take care of her."
Nurse Stardust walked up to the filly and began to lead her to Mr. and Mrs. Cake, just as Nurse Honeybee and Nurse Snowflake returned with a stretcher.

Within a matter of an hour, Princess Luna, Nurse Redheart, Doctor Silverleaf, Pumpkin, Mr., And Mrs. Cake were in Crystal's room.
"Mama, where's Pound?" Pumpkin asked.
"Pound is staying the night, sweetie." Mrs. Cake answered. "He has to have his tonsils removed tomorrow."
"Oh."
Princess Luna saw that now was a good time to speak.
"Pardon me, doctor, but will Crystal recover?"
"Hard to say, Princess." Doctor Silverleaf said. "Due to her injuries, her body has sent her into a comatose state. Just be prepared for the worst."
"Pardon me, Princess," Mr. Cake said, "but aren't you supposed to be in the Crystal Empire?"
"The Crystalling is over, I have my nightly duties. I must uphold them."
"Oh," Mrs. Cake said. "Let's just hope that Crystal gets better soon."
The secret of Crystal Haze
Hannah stared into the darkness in front of her.
"Hello," She called out, "Can anyone hear me? Teresa? Pepper? Sage? Fiona? Rebecca? Aunt Diana? Hello!?"
"I'm alone." she thought, but she wasn't

Crystal walked through the black.
"Hello," She yelled. "Is anypony here?"
Hanna heard Crystal's voice, and moved towards her, her heart pounding with fear.
"Hello?" Said Hannah.
"Hello!" Crystal said.
Both the girl and the unicorn followed each other's voices, until they saw each other.
"Hello," Crystal said, "My name is Crystal Sugar. There's no need to be afraid. What's your name?"
"My name is Hannah," Hannah replyed. "It's so weird, I've never met a unicorn before."
"Well, my friend, Lyra, told me that creatures that look like you are called humans. So it's weird for me too, because I've never met a human before."
Before Hannah could reply, four flashes of light blinded both girls. As the lights faded, four alicorns (five if you count the baby , Flurry Heart) appeared before them.
"Hannah and Crystal Sugar." The white one said. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but both of you are in comatose states."
Both the human and the unicorn looked at each other in shock.
"Yes," the pink one holding Flurry said. "We're terribly sorry about what happened."
"But," Said the blue one, "we have an idea that will help the both of you."
"Hannah," the purple one started, "your spirit will be placed inside of Crystal's body until doctors take you out of your medically induced coma, and Crystal, you will do whatever you can to heal Hannah's body, because we can't use magic to bring her out of her coma."
"Wait," Hannah said. "What will happen while I'm in Crystal's body? How will I know when to come back? How long will it take?"
"Hannah," the pink one replyed, "while you're in Crystal's body, you will be living Crystal's life. You will be in her body for approximately three weeks, and you will know when you are to come back."
The baby giggled, babbled and cooed in her mother's hoof. Her mother bent her head down to kiss her tiny forehead.
"Crystal," the purple one said. "I will teach you a healing spell that will aid in Hannah's recovery."
"I know this seems scary," the blue one said, "but this will help the both of you. Good luck on your journeys."
Before Hannah could speak, a white light blinded her.

The light above her head made her open her eyes, to see a flashlight being shined in her eyes. But instead of seeing a human doctor shining the flashlight, it was a silver-colored unicorn.
