Equestrian Future

PROLOGUE

Twilight focused pushing forward as her horn started to smoke with no glow, she was fighting trying to make it spark despite the magic canceling atmosphere of Plutaren. The unicorn continued to push as her head felt like it was on fire, her teeth began to clench and her hooves loosing grip on the ground. Discord watched and stood back as a spark of magic flickered from the unicorns horn, was she going to do it? Discord leaned in along with the rest of the prisoners there. The room was silent as she began to wine from the pain of fighting to create magic.

"Come on! Just one spark, just one spark!" Twilight slipped as she was getting weaker now, there was no way you could fight a planet could you? There was just no way, Twilight walked forward as her horn began to spark more now. Discord shook his head as the door showed no signs of opening. Twilight groaned and whined as she pushed harder to make magic happen, in her mind it was the only way they would get this sealed door open. Plutaren doesn't have much for technology besides the prisons doors but the unicorn continued to try getting weaker with ever second that past. The prisoners watched in shock of the strength the small mare was showing, Twilight fell to the ground and Discord quickly caught her so she wouldn't smack her head on the rock surface. Twilights horn was still smoking and she kept her eyes closed staying absolutely still now, Discord placed his robotic claws over her chest and he frowned at the sight of his friend so weak and powerless. "Discord....I...."

"No Twilight, you don't need to tell me anything" Discord smiled sliding the metal talons in her mane, he chuckled a bit before he felt the unicorn placed a hoof on his cheek. "Twilight you did what you could...nopony is strong enough to use magic on a planet like this one, its a forbidding place" Discord closed his eyes and as he did every prisoner in the area gasped as Twilights horn quickly began to light up from tip to base with magic. The unicorn opened her eyes and looked at the door.

"I got it Discord....I-I Got it" the door shook before making a beep, a loud hiss was made as the door was forced to unseal from Twilights desperate spell. As soon as the door began to open the unicorns horn sparked and went dim. Discord opened his eyes and looked at the open door. "It looks like magic does work here, Discord, come on lets turn those things off" Twilight smiled as her suit beeped and the helmet once again slung over and covered her face. With the same robotic like voice she spoke to the draconequus, "Lets go"

CHAPTER ONE

It was faint and weak but it was there. The steady beat like a heart but it was only a beep, beep, beep, Twilight moved on the metal table more now as the heat rushed over her body. It was sensational like she was outside in the snow without a scarf and she had just entered Fluttershy's warm cabin. However, it wasn't that at all, as the unicorn opened her eyes she was met by large robotic arms poking at her front hooves, Twilights eyes widened as she saw the large poking arms come down from the ceiling. Now shocked awake she backed up on the table until she found herself falling to the floor.

"GAHHHH~!! Get away from me! Help!" Twilight squealed and moved across the floor to the wall, the arms turned with a light hiss from the robotic gears twisting. Twilight shook her head as they came closer again, Twilight smacked her own head in hopes she was dreaming. Where did that thing come from. "Wake up, wake up, wake up!" Twilight turned away smacking her head a bit harder she fell over whimpering in pain. Her hoof had caused herself to fall to the ground, the pain was great, it felt like somepony took a hammer to her head and swung. The robotic arms jumped forward and one grabbed her by the back hoof lifting her off the ground, Twilight wiggled clueless as too what was going on, the other grabs her front hoof and pulls it close to a smaller arm in the middle. Twilight began to breath heavy breaths as she saw it, her hoof was glowing at the bottom of the hoof and it wasn't the leg she was born with either. Feeling light headed she stops struggling at the sight of her new front hooves. They were metallic and a bright purple, she looked like a comic book character. Thats the closest thing she could come up with, she remembered spike reading a story about a half metal mare, she was robotic on one half and flesh on the other. Fortunately for Twilight she noticed it was only her front hooves that appeared to be robotic. The small arm cause a spark on the arm and then she was dropped to the floor.

"Thank you for your patiences, Twilight Sparkle, please wait for your doctor and remain in this room, thank you" The arm lowers down to her level and a red light turns on scanning the unicorns right iris. Twilight dashes back from the light, the arm reacts and pulls her back making her open her eye. Twilight's ears pinned back as the light blinded her right eye, she shook her head around to clear her vision as soon as the thing let her go, "You are stressed, as a doctor I am advised to give you this cookie~" a cookie then fell down from above landing on Twilights nose causing the unicorn to grunt taking the cookie with her magic she looks at the arms, she couldn't help but wonder why she was dreaming this. This dream was so real, she could feel the cold metal and she felt the pain of falling to the floor after the robot dropped her. Twilight looked at her own two hooves as she levitated the cookie next to her. They were so cool too her, the shiny metal and electronic rubber wires.  "You are welcome, enjoy your cookie" Twilight froze and looked to the arms again.

"You can talk? Who is my doctor? Where am I is a better question and why do I feel so damn cold" Twilights teeth began to chatter against each other and she looked up at the arms once again as she shivered.

"Yes, speaking is one of many things I can do as your personal robotic doctor. Your pony doctor is subject numbered for protection, number is 247-189311, you are located in a holding cell for medical attention and the temperature is stable, shivering is a side affect of waking up from being frozen for so long, Twilight Sparkle"  Twilight looked around and began to recognize something about the room, something about it seemed so familiar to her. "Thank you for your patiences, Twilight Sparkle, please wait for your doctor and remain in this room, thank you" Twilight shivered and nodded and rolled her eyes as the arms repeated its first words to her again. She pondered, frozen? What did it mean by that, ice cube frozen or frozen in fear.

"I was frozen...frozen like an ice cube?" Twilight asked looking at the arms wanting to understand her dream a bit more depth so she could share it better when she woke up. The arms began to rise up into a hole in the ceiling saying one last thing to Twilight.

"If you were an Ice cube you would be dead, you were sleeping frozen" Twilight got up and dropped the cookie she was given to the floor trying to grab the arms, "Do not grab, that is against your protocol and could result in injury, I have many moving parts wouldn't want to loose your arms a second time" the arms quickly shot up into the ceiling and Twilight stomped a hoof.

"Hmmmmmf, I will have my arms back when I wake up , robot! Tell me whats going on right now!" Twilight looked up at the ceiling with a raised brow before frowning, "I mean, come back....you were interesting to talk too...now its just me and the" Twilight looked around and sighed "The walls" Twilight sat down looking at the cookie that lay on the silver floor, "Well I guess I have you, like it matters, your not a real cookie" Twilight used her hoof and pushed the cookie across the floor away from her, "I will eat you later, right now, I need to figure out where I am"

Twilight stopped pacing figuring out the room was exactly what it looked like, a boring room with a floor, four walls, and a roof. There were no windows and only one door that was so not opening. Twilight tried a couple times but it would not budge. Twilight rested her head on the the wall he door was on, this was turning into one boring dream, she was sitting here doing nothing. She wasn't dream flying, falling, or having a tea party. This sucked!

"Oh yeah, so glad to be here in this silver room! Why can't I leave? It's my dream" Twilight stopped and thought on that, she had always been in control slightly in her dreams. If she didn't like something she would always change it, you can do anything in your dreams and your always in control. "This is suppose to be my dream, why can't I do....hmmmmm" Twilight shrugged and used her magic to pick up the cookie ready to take a bite, she stopped. "Luna....Luna oh thank Celestia your here! I knew you would come, I tell you this...I have never had a dream like this before" She nudged the Alicorn as she walked into the door that was locked now in the room with Twilight, the mare smiled at Twilight with a tear coming down her cheek. "Borrrrinng dream" Twilight takes a bite of the cookie and smiles, Luna sniffles and shakes her head. Twilight stopped chewing as her vision went blurry. Luna wiped her own cheek clean of the tear and smiled.

"No....now you dream, goodnight Twilight~" Luna stood back as the Unicorn began to wobble in her steps, Twilight looked at the cookie then to Luna.

"Luuunaa, what is going on!? I don't....feeel so...good" Twilight fell over and slowly closed her eyes, the cold floor against her face she saw Luna take a couple steps closer and two armored stallions walked into the room, they were both hard to make out but they were holding something , a weapon perhaps. Luna knelt down now face to face with the drugged mare.

"We will meet again very soon, Twilight, I know sleep is the last thing you need but we need you too do it just one last time" Luna giggled and tried not too tear up again, "Goodnight Twilight"
