Chroma is the daughter of Rainbow Dash, the element of loyalty, and Soarin, one of the members of the Wonder Bolts. Chroma isn't much like her mother, a tough and brave pony. She is timid and is very smart, always doing her homework. It wasn't until two bullies pushed her hard enough to cause her to try and fly for the first time in her life. However, it didn't go according to plan, and she ends up flowing down a stream of water into the EverFree Forest, and is faced - to - face with a terrifying Timberwolf! When she thought her life was going to end, a strange creature she had never seen before comes to her rescue. The creature has black, and smooth chitin body, with a cobweb mane and tail, and insect wings.
