Chapter 1
From Canterlot High to Ponyville?
(Canterlot High, After school)
Youtube Video
“Oh come on, Rarity. There is nothing wrong with my choice of clothes!” The young teenaged girl named Rainbow Dash grumbled, walking with her friends Rarity and Sunset Shimmer as they left the grounds of Canterlot High to go meet their friends at Sugarcube Corner.
“Darling you look like a wannabe street thug from off TV. I mean really, don’t you have anything better to wear then… this?”
“Look, most of the clothes I use to have shrunk on me when I had to take them to the laundromat. This was the only thing I had that didn’t turn two sizes too small.” She groaned again. “Good grief, you are seriously starting to bug me with trying to critique how I look.”
“You know how I am when it comes to something like this. I can handle your old clothing, but this… this is just a fashion disaster!”
“Well, you might be expecting for a little while because after I brought them home, Tank decided to poke his head in there and munch on them.” She sighed. “Anyways, can someone please remind me again on why we’re meeting Pinkie and the girls now? We normally meet on fridays and today’s monday.”
“Heck if I know, I’m pretty much busy throughout the week to know what’s going on with here. I figure you guys would know.”
“Well…” Sunset soon interjected. “We’re meeting with them because in the next half an hour, we’ll be expecting to see a solar eclipse. Those are completely rare and it’s said that one is seen almost every 30 years or so. Not to mention that it’s happening over our town.” Looking back at Rainbow, she smiled a little. “As for your outfit… I actually kind of like it. It’s quite unique. Especially the chain on the side of the jacket.”
“Thank you! Finally, somebody that has good taste in what I wear.”
“Heh. Wait til Applejack and the other see you.” Sunset grinned, “Speak of the devil, there they are.” Soon, she pointed in the direction where their friends were sitting. Pinkie, Applejack, and Fluttershy were there at a table outside the cafe, waiting patiently for Rainbow and the others to arrive.
“Okay, we’re here. So what’s up?”
“Hey girls, glad all of ya can make it.” Applejack complimented. “Barely recognized ya there, Dashie.”
“Seriously? How can you not recognize me?”
“Your cap was over ya face. When you looked at me, I was able to see ya clearly.” Her friend replied. “Pinkie’s bringing out some cupcakes and that Eclipse is suppose to be happening soon.”
“I still don’t see what the big deal with this Eclipse thing, it’s not like we won’t see it again about another 30 years or so.”
“Thirty years is the minimum.” Sunset deadpanned. “Plus, wouldn’t you want to see the moon block out the sun in the middle of the day?”
“Big whoop, if I wanted to block out the sun I could just use my cap to do so. Or close a blind to do that.”\
“Come on, Dashie.” Pinkie Pie spoke up once she came out with the cupcakes. “Don’t be such a party pooper. We might be old and in wheelchairs when this happens again! Live for the moment.”
“We’re sixteen Pinkie Pie, we’ll be adult by the time this happens again.” Before anyone else can say anything, the sunlight around them began to dim as the streets began to darken. Looking behind her to the sky, Rainbow could see the moon beginning to cover the sun as she just watched the event unfold. However, as the Eclipse was to reach it’s climax, a bright flash of light went off, blinding her and putting her in a daze. However, she felt herself being… energized. Like how she felt during the Friendship Games. Just… different. “What is going on?” she wondered. It didn’t look like any of her friends were seeing anything out of the ordinary. And normally, they were out of the ordinary!
“Um, girls. I feel funny.”
“Funny? Like in HAHA! funny or kinda not feeling good funny?” Pinkie Pie asked her
“Funny as in I feel like I’m going to be sick kind of funny.”
Sunset heard that and soon walked over. “I can take you home if you’re okay with that?” She offered, feeling a little bit concerned for her friend.
“N-No, I’m fine. I can walk myself h…..oh crap.”
“Rainb-?” Her friends were heard on deaf ears as the young teen soon collapsed on the ground and her face met the pavement beneath her. (Song End)
(Next morning...)
“Ugh……” The groan from Rainbow Dash could be heard from all around the room as she slowly opened her eyes. Her alarm clock was going off, the loud ringing sounding like a buzzing bee nearby her ears. A bee that just kept ringing… and it was really annoying her.
“No… five more minutes…” She groaned, trying to cover her ears, only to realize that she was back at her house. “What the-? How am I back at my house?” With the ringing going on in the background, the young teen saw a note by her pillow and slowly tried to read it while her eyes were adjusting to waking up.
“Hey Rainbow. You collapsed yesterday after telling us you didn’t feel so well, so Applejack and I took you home and made sure you didn’t have a fever or anything. If anything weird happens, give me a call.”
-Sunset Shimmer
“Well at least that answers that-.” Rainbow sighed, before having her train of thought being interrupted by her alarm clock. “OH FOR PETE’S SAKE, SHUT UP ALREADY-!!” Unknowingly though, her outburst cause a spectral Cyan hand to come forth and form into a fist as it struck the alarm clock, destroying it to pieces as they were littered across the floor.
Now, Rainbow was alarmed. For a different reason. “W-what was that!?”
“Is everything okay up there sis?!”
“Uh… y-yeah, I’m fine Scoots. Just… processing.” She said. Dang it, now she thought that she was starting to sound like Twilight or Sunset. Just… what the hell happened to her? And why was this happening?
“Processing what?! Unless you’re doing math which you suck at, then what are you doing up there?!”
“I’m just a bit tired. I’m still waking up. How long have I been asleep for?” She asked. Hopefully, that would help her with something.
“Five days!”
Wait, what? “You’re joking right? I thought you just said five days.”
“I did, you been asleep for five days straight! I pretty much had to do some of your homework so the teachers wouldn’t think you’re skipping class again!”
Now that was an eye opener. First, there was this… spirit thingy that destroyed her alarm clock. Second, she had been asleep for five days. Five whole days!! Both of those made her even more confused on what was happening. “Good grief… I must be losing my mind.” She told herself before getting up off of the bed. It was now that she noticed that she had fallen asleep in the clothes that she wore on monday… which meant that today was saturday. “Hey Scootaloo. You can go see your friends. I need to call Sunset real quick. She told me to call her when I woke up.”
“Need me to get you something?!”
“Nah I’m fine.” Rainbow Dash lied. She thought that she was personally going insane, but she did not want to show it in front of her sister. “Have fun.”
“Okay! Well I’m gonna head out! Applebloom and Sweetie Belle are waiting for me at the arcade, seeya!” With Scootaloo gone, Rainbow had some breathing room. However, she still needed to call Sunset. Now, if she only knew where she placed her phone-.
It was only upon turning around that she saw the same hand that demolished her alarm clock. Now it was holding her cell phone within a pinch like grip, using the thumb and index fingers to hold the device.
“Okay this is getting really weird, even by my standard of weirdness.” She sighed, soon dialing Sunset’s number and after a short while, her friend picked up.
“Hello?”
“Sunset, I need your help! I’m being possessed by some kind of spirit and need your help getting it out of me-!”
“Whoa whoa whoa… Rainbow, calm down… You’re yelling in my ear and I haven’t heard from you in five days. Now, what exactly is going on?”
“I been asleep for five days, look just come over here and I’ll explain what’s going okay?”
“That’s what I’m asking you… Okay, just hang on, I’ll be there in five minutes. Just given me a minute.” Sunset said before hanging up the conversation. Five minutes later, the door to Rainbow’s house had a couple of knocks occur on the front as Rainbow walked over and opened it. Sunset, like she promise, was outside.
“Alright, I’m here. Now, what is going on-?”
“It’s about time you got here. What took you so long?”
“Uh, Rainbow. I’m a few blocks away from you. It’s always been a five minute walk to your place.”
“Whatever, just get in here and help me. You an expert at this weirdness stuff aren’t you?”
“Define weird , Rainbow.”
“This kind of weird.” She said pointing to her hand.
“Um… I’m not seeing anything.”
“What the hell do you mean you can’t see it? It’s right in front of my hand.”
“All I’m seeing is your hand.” Sunset said.
“Ugh...wait, watch this.” Rainbow turned her attention at the pizza on the table as she ordered her spirit to grab it. It did so, lifting it over to her.
“So… you somehow have psychic abilities?”
“Do I look like have the brainpower to do that….don’t answer that, but you get what I mean right?”
“Yes, it is weird… Hang on, maybe Twilight know something about it back in Equestria. Give me a second to write to her.” She told her friend as she opened the enchanted book her friend gave her. “You said this is a spirit right?”
“Yes, why?”
“Just wanted to make sure I told her correctly,” Sunset replied, finished her letter. She got a reply back, but what Sunset saw made her eyes widen a little. “Oh boy… This isn’t going to end well…” She sighed.
“Well what?”
“Remember the Mirror? The one where I came through and Twilight… Well… Let’s just say we're going for a trip.”
“I thought we couldn’t go through it what with the multiversal mumbo jumbo crap that your Twilight said?”
“Well, we need to go through it. She want’s to see if your spirit is anyhow related to one of the locals in Ponyville.”
“Wait what now?”
“Basically, we need to meet Discord. Spirit of Chaos. If you say this is a spirit, then maybe another spirit could tell what is going on with you.” Sunset replied. “Trust me though… He’s not called the Spirit of Chaos for nothing. Think Pinkie, but a whole another degree.”
“Wait, won’t anybody notice that we’re gone? This is a weekday right?”
“Rainbow, it’s Saturday.” Sunset deadpanned.
“I’ve been asleep for the past five days, what do you expect?”
“Didn’t you see the day of the week on the Alarm clock I got for you last christmas?” Sunset asked.
“It kinda got destroyed.”
“Wait… What?” Sunset replied shortly before walking into her room and seeing the wreckage. “HOLY-!! It looked like something exploded in here!!”
“Yeah that’s when the spirit came out of me and wrecked it.”
“... Let’s get to the mirror. We need to get to the bottom of this.”
(Twilight’s Castle, Ponyville)
“So…Mind telling me why you’re acting so nervous Twi? You’ve haven’t acted this way since the Yakghanistan ambassador visited town.” Right now, Rainbow Dash was visiting her friend, Twilight Sparkle. Who was inside her castle at the time that she received a message from her friend on the other side of the mirror.
“It’s Sunset Shimmer. She’s coming to visit.”
“Isn’t she that pony that stole your crown and tried to take over her own world with it?”
“Yes, but she’s learned the error of her ways like Starlight a few weeks ago. Now though, she needs help with trying to figure out something.”
“Figure what out?”
“Well… that’s the strange part. Turns out, yourself in the Mirror world thinks she’s possessed by some sort of spirit. Given the circumstances, I thought that Discord could help. He’s a spirit so he might know a thing or two about what’s going on.”
“You sure he isn’t behind what’s going on?”
“No because Sunset told me that her Rainbow passed out shortly after witnessing a Solar Eclipse. Those in itself have been known to cause strange phenomenons in Equestria with Magic. But I don’t exactly know what could be going on with her. So… I asked them both to come here.” With that said, the Mirror portal whirred to life as the two of them watched Sunset step out of the portal. Followed by her Rainbow Dash. Which was wearing a Black jacket and hat with a small gold chain on the side of it. she had a light grey undershirt underneath it and when she lifted her head, the first thing this Dash saw… was herself.
“... Well… this is new.”
“Oh dear Celestia, she’s just as awesome as me!”
“Rainbow, calm down.” Twilight told the pegasus that she was familiar with before looking at the other one. “Not you, you’re fine.”
“Wait there’s a pony version of me? Holy crap! I can’t wait to tell the girls back home about this.”
“It’s to be expected.” Sunset turned to the Rainbow she knew and told her. “The Mirror portal is an artifact that leads to a mirror world. Or what you and I know as home. Everypony you meet here has a reflection of themselves back home. Remember when we had two Twilights?”
“Oh yeah.”
“It’s the same thing. I’m just surprised that Pinkie Pie hasn’t gone through the Mirror. Celestia help us all when that happens.” Twilight sighed a bit. “Anyways, it’s good to see you again Rainbow.”
“Hey Twilight, where did you place those Recipe books, Pinkie-.” The voice that belonged to Twilight’s assistant, Spike, stopped for a moment when she saw two Rainbows. “Twilight… What did you do this time?”
“Hey Spike.” said both Rainbow Dashes as they waved to the dragon.
“... Twilight, why are there two Rainbows?” Spike asked. “Please don’t tell me that this is one of Discord’s pranks.”
“You called?” The voice echoed as a pink cloud could be seen overhead and Discord was peaking at the five of them from above. “What do we have here? Double the Dash, double the trouble…”
“Hey we don’t cause trouble… unless someone starts it.”
“I’m liking you already.” Rainbow Dash grinned a little at her clothed doppelganger as she looked at the Draconequus. “Discord, please warn us next time before you try popping in randomly like that. You’re just as bad as Pinkie Pie.”
“That’s Discord? Geez he look like something you would see in one of those jigsaw puzzle things.” Shortly after saying that though was when her hat started to float off of her head, showing her long rainbow mane.
“That’s Draconequus to you, Skittles.” He smirked.
“Hey! Give me back my hat jerk!”
“If you insist.” With another snap of his lion paw, the hat soon began to fall. However, it was falling at the force of an anvil being dropped on somepony’s head. It was only then that Rainbow tried to stand her ground. Ordering her… spirit… to withstand the weight of the falling object before it was turned back to normal.
“Well… this is indeed interesting… This one has quite an interesting ability.”
“Discord, what was that?”
“It appears that this Rainbow has gotten herself a Guardian. One that would be called… a Stand.” The Draconequus replied.
“What’s a Stand?”
“Think of it as an Avatar that represents yourself. Only Stand users can see other pony’s stands and different Stands have different powers. However, it doesn’t seem like this one wants to fully come out of it’s shell yet.” Discord smiled a little. “Perhaps we should take this outside. possibly somewhere where we might not… hurt anypony so to speak.”
“Yeah…” Unexpectedly though, with another snap of the Draconequus’ paw, both Rainbows, Twilight and Sunset were in the field outside of town.
“Alright, there’s only one way for a stand to reveal itself and that is by fighting another stand. Fortunately, I know a friend that can help.”
“Wait a second, you have friends?” Twilight asked, a little surprised with that statement.
“How else do you think I spend my time when I’m bored?”
“And who is this other stand user?” Before long, another figure soon leaped out from the trees and landed by the group in a pink cannonball like blur. To most of the ponies surprise, it was somepony they knew.
“Hiya Dissy!!”
“P-pinkie!?” Twilight spoke. “H-how!?”
“Easy there, bookworm. I’ll tell you later.” Discord told the Alicorn. “Pinkie, You see that Rainbow over there in the jacket and hat? She has a stand that needs to come out of hiding. I’m sure you know what to do… right?”
“I have a bad feeling about this.” Soon, Rainbow could see a form of energy rising from Pinkie as she stared her down. “Yep, this won’t end well.”
“Spearmint… PARTY SPLASH!!” That was when Rainbow saw what looked like a green tinted water like monster release a blast of actual crystals shape candy that tried to harm her. Moving backwards, she tried the best to dodge since this Rainbow wasn’t accommodated to her new body. But when she looked again, she couldn’t see Pinkie’s stand.
“What the-? It was right there a minute ago!”
“Spearmint is a stand that, like me, loves to play hide and seek!” Pinkie cheerfully stated. “In a way, it’s almost like taffy. Chewy and Sweet, but can mold into any shape or stretch out as far as I need to.” She replied. “If you can’t bring your stand out, then you won’t be able to stop my PARTY SPLASH!!”
“Not again!!” The pegasus reacted, rolling out of the way again as the Rock Candy almost clipped her wings. As Sunset and the others watched, they tried to make sense of what was happening. They couldn’t see anything. That was, until Discord snapped his fingers and handed each of the spectators a pair of what looked like reading glasses.
“Uh… what are these for?” Twilight asked.
“These glasses allow the wearers to see Stands. I thought it might make a little more sense if you could see what was happening.” Around then though, Twilight and the others now watched as Rainbow stood her ground.
“Okay, that’s enough!!” She yelled, a form of energy flowing around her. “I’M DONE PLAYING GAMES!!!” Within that moment, the hands from before shot forth. But this time, the rest of the stand came out too as it threw a punch at a nearby bush and sent Pinkie’s stand fleeing for cover.
“ORA!!”

Chapter 2: Stargazer- Tarot Card of the Star
Chapter 2
Stargazer - Tarot Card of the Star
Rainbow Dash’s eyes widened upon seeing her stand. The one thing that had been either causing trouble for her, driving her bonkers, or in some cases helping her. Now, it stood as tall as she would, but resembled a human in form. It’s appearance resembling that of a street brawler with a set of bare knuckles as it was eager for a fight before looking back at Rainbow and nodding it’s head. Signifying that she was in charge of it now… and that the real fight had just begun.
“Okay, this Spearmint is really beginning to piss me off.” She growled, turning her cap in the other direction as the pegasus grit her teeth. “I’m not going to stand here and let you continually try to hit me with your attacks.” A cyan like aura could be seen from Rainbow as it pulsed with life. Her strength and will were being emitted in a physical form… and now it was time for action.
“Get ready to taste the rainbow Pinkie!” She declared.
“Hehe… You’re too funny, Dashie!” She said, sending her stand forward towards her. “Party Splash ti-!” However, she was at a loss for words when Rainbow’s stand was able to grab onto her mid-flight and smash hers to the ground, causing the party mare to be shaken up.
“I got you now!” Rainbow said as her stand was about to pummel Spearmint. “Take her down...um….who ever your name is!”
“Impressive...but you shouldn’t get to full of yourself Rainbow Dash.” Pinkie Pie said as Spearmint shattered into a million pieces of mint shape candy.
“What the!?” In her confused state of mind, Rainbow Dash failed to notice Spearmint appearing right behind her stand as it held her stand in a bear hug. “Hey! Let my stand go!”
“Nope.” The Party Pony said as she ordered Spearmint to suplex Rainbow’s stand onto the ground. However, something else happened in response as it looked like Pinkie was vibrating a little. Like she had accidently put a hoof in an electrical socket.
“Oh this is getting interesting.” Discord said as she summoned a seat and a bucket of popcorn. “Anypony have any salt?”
“Salt? Matter of fact, what is going on with Pinkie?” Twilight asked.
“I believe she begin shocked by Sunset’s Rainbow Dash’s stand. Have to admit, I’m surprise she can actually do something like that on her first try with a stand she doesn’t know how to use.” Discord replied, “Then again, pegasi are known for storm magic. So maybe that trait is shown through her stand since she isn’t from Equestria?”
“If you two are done idle chit chatting.” Sunset said pointed back at the now electrocuted party pony, who was making weird body motions that you would see in a cartoon. “Shouldn’t we stop this before it gets out of hand!?”
“Oh chill out… One of the traits Pinkie has with her stand is that she can use Spearmint to heal herself of minor injuries. Besides, she’s been practicing with it.” The Draconequus replied. But all that did was confuse Twilight before she looked back at Discord.
“Wait… If you know this…” She was going to say something, before she redirected her attention to the fight at hand as Rainbow held her ground. One hoof holding down Spearmint in place as her stand’s strength began to burst through the roof before firing off a rapid fire barrage of blows in quick succession.
“ORAORAORAORAORAORAORA!!!! ”
“Finish her off…..um...I really gotta think of a name for you, but finish her off!” Rainbow shouted.
“That’s enough you two.” Discord said before separating the two. “This isn’t Mortal Kombat, so were not performing any fatalities today.” Sighing, he looked at Sunset’s Rainbow before looking back at her. “Well… it looks like your kind of stand is quite… interesting.”
“Pretty cool huh?” Rainbow Dash said as she looked over her stand. “I’m a bit surprise that she look a bit….knighty.”
“Well, different Stands have different abilities and fight different ways. For you, it seems like your stand is a close range fighting that can generate electricity in its attacks and other storm based powers. That’s how come your stand was so fast at close range… that range being about ten meters give or take.” Discord said. “Pinkies is a long range fighter, but not prepared in the category of close quarters combat.”
“You seem to know a lot about this.” Rainbow said as she looked at the Draconequus in suspension.
“Lord of Chaos remember? You think I don’t know about stuff like this?”
“Okay, so what now seeing how I have this stand thing now?”
“Well… there’s the matter of giving it a name… now do me a favor and pick a card.” Discord said, holding out a few cards in his paw.
“Why do I need to do that?”
“If I told you now, then it would spoil the surprise. Now pick a card please.” Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes as she pulled a card from the middle. As she pulled the card out, the card a had a shooting star on the back of it. “A shooting star?”
“Perfect, you picked the tarot card known as The Star.”
“What the hell is a tarot card?”
“Tarot cards are commonly used amongst fortune tellers, but they are also used to identify some stands. Pinkies card is hierophant, like yours is Star… However, Pinkie wanted to name hers Spearmint because of the Stands color.” Discord explained. “Now comes the part of picking your stands name… I have one possible idea that might work.”
“Oh? And what would that be?” She questioned.
“Stargazer.”
“....Isn’t there a much better and cooler name than stargazer?”
“Sorry, but due to your stand star/knighty look this is the only name that would best fit it.” Discord said causing Rainbow Dash to mumble something under her breath. “Now, now, don’t be so pouty Rainbow Dash. Look on the bright side, at least you have something that most humans don’t have.”
“What do you mean most humans?”
“Can’t spoil the surprise for you my little human.” Discord said as he pinched Rainbow’s cheek, only for her to smack his claw away.
“Well I guess that solves the problem you been having, Rainbow Dash.” Sunset said as she walked next to the teen. “I think we should head back before the girls worry about where we are.”
“Sounds like a plan. Twilight and the others are gonna be stoked when they find out what I can do.”
“Just remember that they can’t see your stand, but other people with stands are able to see yours. So try not to get into a fight with them unless you don’t have a choice.” Discord said as he snapped a claw and a portal appeared next to them. “Also, let’s bear in mind that there is a possibility that others might’ve been affected the same way you were, but wouldn’t exactly use their gifts for good purposes.”
“Wait what-?”
“Think of it, Rainbow… If you had supernatural powers that would allow you to basically do whatever you want, how likely do you think somebody would want to capitalize on that and use it for bad purposes?” Sunset asked her, causing her Rainbow to think and realized what her friend was talking about. “Also, since Pinkie is a stand user here and you’re a stand user back home, it’s twice as likely for that to happen.”
“...Okay I see what you mean by that.”
With that in mind, Sunset then turned to Twilight as she looked at her friend. “I’ll let you know if anything changes by writing to you in the book, okay?”
“Sounds like a plan.”
Meanwhile,
“Do you think Rainbow’s gonna be okay? I mean… she sort of seemed out of it when she woke up this morning.” Scootaloo asked her friends as she was standing outside the arcade with Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle. “I mean, she even flipped out when I told her that she was asleep for five days.”
“I’m sure she’ll be okay. I mean she is your sister after all.” Apple Bloom said, placing a hand on Scootaloo’s shoulder. “Plus with all that’s been happening at school a while back, it’ll take more than that to keep her down.”
“Yeah, plus she’s tough so you shouldn’t be worrying about it.” Sweetie Belle said, appearing next to her friends.
“I guess you’re right… It’s just… something about this place feels strange… and I mean outside of Canterlot High. There have been strange things going on all over town,” Scootaloo replied back. “Shining Armor down by the police station has been talking with his colleagues about a series of murders recently… but the weapon the criminal used was what I would think is the strangest part about it.”
“What do you mean by that?” Apple Bloom asked. “What? They couldn’t find the weapon that murdered the person?”
“Yeah, and the strangest thing is that it’s lead the cops to believe that whoever killed them didn’t use a gun or anything like that… but a bow and arrow… which is completely weird in itself because I’m not talking the normal arrows with the bullet tip points. I’m talking arrows with an arrowhead that looks like a spade from a deck of cards.” Scootaloo told her friends, remembering what she could off of the top of her head.
“You mean like how they used to use arrows like that back in them olden days?”
“Who would use something like that?” Sweetie Belle asked.
“I don’t know, someone who wants to try and be Robin Hood?” Scootaloo said, shrugging her arms a little before turning around. “Anyways, I’m gonna go back home. See you girls tomorrow.”
“Seeya Scootaloo.” Apple Bloom said as she and Sweetie Belle waved good-bye to their friend before heading off to their homes. On the way to her home though, Scootaloo felt uncomfortable with everything she had told the girls about earlier… being as careful as to try and go back without looking at any of the second story windows in the neighborhood because she feared that someone was watching her.
However, those fears only began to partially escalate when she went to unlock the door… only to find it already unlocked. “What the-?” There were two possibilities that were going through her head right now… one, Rainbow was home and was too lazy to lock the door or two, someone had broken into their home. Unfortunately for her… the answer was behind door number two.
“Oh… I didn’t expect anybody to be coming home so early…This is awkward.” The voice sent a chill down Scootaloo’s spine. She knew she heard the voice somewhere before. But where though was beyond her. “Well, this may provide me an advantage for when your sister shows up.”
Just as she turned around, she felt a hot surge of pain around her wrists and ankles as she soon fell to the ground. From there though, she could finally see who it was… and that in itself shocked her. “L-li-!?”
“Sssshh…” The intruder urged. “Quiet now… We don’t need to ruin the surprise…” A few seconds later, she felt her body moved against her will as it was forced to sit down in the kitchen. A few moments afterwards though, she began to hear Rainbow Dash walk in… and the first thing she said answered her question.
“Lightning Dust!?! What the hell are you doing in my home!?” Rainbow Dash said as she glared at the girl standing next to Scootaloo.
“What? Can’t a friend drop by and visit her friend whenever she want?”
“We’re not friends Lightning, especially what you did back in school during the soccer tournament.”
“Geez, you’re still holding to me accidentally breaking your leg during the second half of the game?” Lightning Dust said as she ran the back part of her hand down Scootaloo’s face. “You really need to let it go.”
“Get your hands off of Scootaloo you son of a-!” Rainbow Dash ran up towards Lightning Dust, and was about to punch her in the face. Only for her fist to stop a few inches away from her face. “What the!?”
“Oh? So you noticed my new friend?” She said as metal like wires were emerging from her hands. “I call it Master of Puppets . Pretty fitting since I’m in control of your actions… Now, stop hitting yourself.”
“Wha-?” SMACK! “Ow!!”
“Hey, I said stop hitting yourself Rainbow Dash.” She said pulling on the metal wire from her finger, and made Rainbow Dash punch herself again. This continued on several times… but then Lightning got a very cruel idea.
“Hey Dash… Stop hitting your sister-.”
That was when Rainbow snapped. “Okay, that’s IT!!” Even though she was unable to move… it did not mean her Stand couldn’t as Stargazer’s hand appeared, breaking the link between Lightning and them as electricity went through the wires and began to shock her. “I can deal with enough of your bullcrap… But there’s no way in HELL that I’m going to let you make me hurt Scootaloo!!”
“Well...this is a surprise. I didn’t think that there was someone else that had the powers I do.”
“Yes and I’m going to make you regret messing with us.” Rainbow replied, having Stargazer fully emerge from her before it immediately appeared in front of Lightning, striking her in the ribs. “Kidney Punch!!”
“AGH!!”
“Kidney Punch, Kidney Punch, Kidney Punch, Kidney Punch, … And pause…” Rainbow smirked before saying it again. “KIDNEY PUNCH!! ” The last one was the blow that really hurt the most in that moment, because to Lightning, it felt like she was getting shot with a shotgun at close range, flying through a wall in the process.
“Okay...guess the kids gloves are off huh?” Lightning Dust said as she wiped away the blood from the side of her mouth and stood up.
“I’m honestly surprised that you actually are in the mood for jokes… because right now, I literally have your back against the wall-.” She said, before noticing something on Lightning’s body that startled her… There was a scar on her body that looked like she was shot in the throat. “What the hell is up with your throat?”
“I be more worry about yourself Rainbow Dash.” Lightning Dust said as the girl cracked her neck, and took a few steps forwards before pointing a finger at Rainbow Dash. “From what you’re able to do, it looks like you only just awaken to that power you have there. Am I right?”
“And how the hell do you know about that?” She questioned.
“Because if you were strong enough.” Lighting said as she motion Rainbow Dash to turn around with her eyes. As she did, the rainbow haired girl was sucker punched by another Lightning Dust. Only this one was pale in color and had a cocky grin on her face. “You would be able to do more than just that.”
“Heh…… That may be true…” She said, looking back at them as well with a snarky grin on her face. “But unlike myself… you don’t know at all what the hell I am capable of…” In that moment, she looked up, turned her cap around, and stared down her former friend. “And now you’ve really pissed me off…”
“N-Now, now, Rainbow Dash.” Lightning Dust said as a nervous expression appeared on her face.”You wouldn’t want to beat the hell out of me.”
“Give me one reason not too…” Rainbow growled. “You broke into my home, forced Scootaloo to be your hostage and tried to have me hurt my sister… The evidence against you is stacking up, Lightning… So give me one damn good reason not to beat you to a bloody pulp right now.”
“Because, you do remember that I can make more than just one of myselves right.” Pointing a finger behind RD, she order another clone made of metal strings to bring Scootaloo outside while holding an arm around her neck. “Care to make a deal buddy?”
Rainbow looked around, noticing something that looked like something she could use to her advantage. “I’m not your buddy … and who said I need to beat you up?” The clone at the time, whose back was against the wall where an electrical socket was, was blindsided when Stargazer emerged from behind, punching it in the face as it dropped Scootaloo to the floor. “Because let me tell you something Lightning… Just like in Soccer… I am VERY unpredictable.” With that phrase, Stargazer began to unleash a barrage of punches and kicks on the clone, which in turn was also hurting Lightning as well as both of them were getting beaten to a bloody pulp as Rainbow sent Lightning flying through the wall and into the backyard pool out back.
“That takes care of that… Lightning was always one for making a splash...” Rainbow sighed. “Now how the hell are we going to clean this up?”
“That was lame…” Scootaloo said rubbing her neck from being in an arm hold. “Where you get that line from, a fortune cookie or something?”
“Nah, I just thought of it just now.” Rainbow replied, only to notice something on the kitchen counter. “Hey, someone left a voicemail on the answering machine…”
“Who do you think it is?” Scootaloo asked as she hopped over the piece of broken wall, and made her way to where Rainbow Dash is. Rainbow shrugged, turning to the machine before pressing the play button on the machine.
“Hey Rainbow, It’s Twilight. Just checking in with you and seeing how you are feeling. Sunset caught me up to speed earlier on what was going on and as it turns out, you’re not the only one with special gifts. However, for us, it happened way earlier in the week. So I’m sending Lightning Dust over your way to see how you can control your newfound abilities. Please go easy on her… I know both of you have some… issues with each other, but she means well this time around. Anyways, call me back when you get the chance. Okay? Bye. ”
Rainbow just stared at the answering machine, before looking outside and letting the whole thing process inside her head… before saying the only thing she could think in her head. “Oh SHIT!!!”
“Twilight’s gonna be angry with you after what you did to Lightning Dust! What are we gonna do!?” Scootaloo asked in panic.
“Quck! Get Lightning Dust out of the pool! And get some makeup!”
“I thought you normally don’t use makeup… why now?” Scootaloo asked as she hurried outside and got her out of the pool… before punching her herself. “What? That was for using me like that!”
“Just get the make up while I try to clean up her jacked up face!” Rainbow Dash ordered as she grabbed a few pieces of paper towels, and began to wipe the blood off of Lightning Dust’s face. “Oh I am in so much trouble.”
“You think?”
“That’s NOT helping me Scootaloo!!”

Chapter 3: Awkward Morning
***Chapter 3
Awkward Morning***
(Morning)
Morning has finally arrived as Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo, and a very irritated Lightning Dust sitting in awkward silence at the kitchen table. After what happen last night and getting the message of Lightning Dust being a stand user from Twilight, it wouldn’t be a surprise that the atmosphere in the house would be… tense. Of course, this moment of awkward silence was soon broken when Rainbow Dash decided to speak up.
“S-So...are you hungry?” Rainbow Dash asked, only for Lightning Dust to glare at her while holding an ice pack to her head. “Okay, then how about coffee then?”
“...Whatever.”
“Perfect,” The rainbow head girl said as she look over at Scootaloo. “Scoots, could you make Lightning Dust a cup of coffee please?” Scootaloo nodded as she walked through the giant hole in the wall that leads to the kitchen. “So, how are you feeling?”
“Like I just got hit by thousands of baseballs being shot out by a machine gun.”
“Oh….right...sorry?”
“A little late for an apology don’t you think? Especially when you tried to cover it up with a poor ass job with the makeup you put on me. Was that really necessary?”
“Well I didn’t expect you to wake up after the beating I gave yeah last night.” Rainbow Dash said as she notice a death glare coming from Lightning Dust. “Too soon?”
“Too soon.” Lightning Dust said as she lean against the chair she was sitting in. “Seriously, ever heard of not going overboard?”
“Hey! You started first when you intruded into our home. Not to mention you threaten to hurt Scootaloo, so expect to get a beat down from me.”
“I was trying to see the capabilities of your stand, and the only way to do that is have you not treat me being here as a joke. Besides, would you really beat the crap out of me if I was here just to have Cocoa and talk with you about boys?” A bit of a silence drifted through the room, shortly before Lightning Dust sighed to herself. “Yeah, I thought so.”
“I’m not apologising if that’s what you’re thinking.” Rainbow said as Scootaloo place two cups of coffee on the table. One for Rainbow Dash, and the other for Lightning Dust. After giving them their cups of coffee, Scootaloo walked over to her scooter and started heading outside through the second hole in the living room.
“I’m heading out to meet up with Applebloom and Sweetie Belle. Be back before night time.”
“Okay, seeya Scoots.” Rainbow Dash said as she waved goodbye to her little sister, before turning her attention back at Lightning Dust.
“Not that I was expecting one knowing you. Look I was sent here to see what you’re capable of, alright. Once I get my coffee, I’ll be leaving so you don’t have to worry about me trying anything stupid.”
“Suuuuure, what confuses me though is how do you have a stand in the first place.” Rainbow said as she looked back at her.
“I would assume the same way you did… Did you pass out after seeing that Solar Eclipse last week?” She then asked, causing all the thoughts that Rainbow originally had to slam to a complete halt.
“Yeah, how did you know about that?”
“Because the same thing happened to me, I just woke up a day before you did,” Lightning Dust replied back to her. “Shortly afterwards, one of your friends noticed what was going on with me, talked to me on the side and explained what it is so that way I know what I’m actually dealing with. It was only yesterday that she asked me to check on you since you had gone through the same thing I have.”
“Yeah and look how that turned out.” Rainbow groaned to herself as she looked back at Lightning. All before there was a knock on the door.
“And I believe that is Twilight-.” Lightning sighed… shortly before the door felt flat on the ground after what happened earlier. “Okay, that I honestly did not expect.”
“Doors open Twilight! Mind the mess in the… well everywhere!”
“What the-?” She responded, looking the state of the living room as it now turned out to look like a warzone. As she entered the room, Sunset followed her inside as they looked at the sheer state of what happened. “Let me guess… Rainbow?”
“To be fair… I might have taken it a bit too far with trying to see her Stand in action,” Lightning groaned. “No matter how many times I’ve apologized, there's no way Rainbow’s forgiving me at this rate.”
“You intruded into my home, made me punch myself like a puppet and almost attack Scootaloo. If you were in my shoes would you expect me to forgive you that quickly?”
“No, sorry. Usually when it comes to thinking of things on the fly, I wouldn’t plan in advance. Besides, I needed to see you use your stand and the only way for me to do that was for you to treat me like an actual threat.” Lightning explained.
“I see what Lightning Dust was trying to do, but really? Using Scootaloo? Not cool.” Sunset replied to that comment.
“Alright, so maybe I should’ve done it differently. But you should’ve know what would’ve happen when you sent me to do that.”
“So other than the fact that I need help with settling an insurance claim for the property damage in here, why else are Sunset and Twilight here?”
“Because of what’s going on with Stands… and unlike you two, we already have ours…” Sunset replied as a golden yellow entity appeared behind Sunset while a dark purple one appeared behind Twilight. Surprising both of them immediately.
“Okay am I the only one that seem to be getting the info on stuff like this a bit too late now a days?” Rainbow asked, partially surprised.
“Well, that’s the thing. Remember what happened at the Friendship Games?” Sunset asked, getting an obvious yes from Rainbow in response. “Well, since then, she and I have been in control of a stand each that are equal opposites. Twilights is known as Midnight while mine is known as Sunrise. Each one based off of the Sun and Moon cards in the Tarot like how Lightning’s is based on The Fool.”
“Yeah, but why are you exactly telling us this now ?” Lightning questioned.
“Because originally, we were the only stand users until that Solar Eclipse happened. In the weeks since then, you two gained stands, Pinkie did and who knows about who else might’ve gotten one if they saw that eclipse happen,” Sunset replied. “Besides, what would you do if you have godlike powers and think that you are untouchable to everyone else around you?”
“I could think of a few things.” Rainbow Dash said as she start to imagine herself winning every soccer games.
“I mean generally like if you think you’re above the law.” Twilight added to what Sunset said.
“That could be problematic.” Lightning replied. “Makes me worried about what if that old gym coach Wind Rider got one and tried to get revenge on those who fired him.”
“I doubt it seeing how he’s not that stupid enough to try a stunt like that.”
“What about the Dazzlings?” Sunset asked her friend, trying to get Rainbow to treat this seriously.
“We beat them once before, I’m pretty sure we can beat them again.”
Sunset sighed, looking back at Twilight. “You may be right, but the thing is, Stands can take on the forms of multiple things and it’s nearly impossible to figure out who is a stand user and who isn’t. Determining what is a Stand or not is one thing, but finding out the powers of that stand and what they’re capable of can be unpredictable. You saw how Lightning can control wires and use them to have objects or people be living puppets, but it’s unknown what others are out there… because besides us four and Pinkie. They are probably sixteen others out there.”
“And who might those sixteen stand users?”
“That’s the thing… we don’t know… the only clues that we have is based on the Tarot cards I mentioned earlier,” Sunset replied. “So far, our stands consist of five cards in the Tarot. Star, The Fool, Hierophant, Sun and Moon. What’s left on the tarot is the following.” With that, Sunset pulled out a set of cards as she set specific ones down on the coffee table that was still intact. “The Hermit, The Devil, The Magician, Strength, Chariot, The Emperor, The Empress, The Lovers, Temperance, Wheel of Fortune, High Priestess, The Tower, Judgement, Death, Justice and lastly, the World.”
“Sixteen stand users and we don’t know who they are.” Rainbow groaned as he looked at all of them. “Do we at least have any leads? Anything from Princess Twilight at all?” Sunset shook her head on that one.
“We’re trying to look into if there are any strange activities lately and also paying attention to if anything pops up on the local news. But unless we are actually sure about something, we’re basically shooting blanks.” Twilight replied. “I even asked Shining Armor to keep an eye out for any strange incidents he overhears at the police department.”
“... Okay, how exactly were you able to do that?”
“I told him we were starting an investigation club and he bought it.” Twilight replied back to Rainbow. “Right now, it’s just us. But if we did find anything, one of us needs to tell the others.”
“Okay, so what do we do now?”
“All we can do is wait and watch the news from time to time until something happens. For now we’ll just continue doing our own thing.”
“You mean just go to school and stuff?”
“Which brings us to the next topic we need to talk about.” Sunset said as Rainbow Dash looked over at her. “We need to set some ground rules if we encounter any other stand users in school or in a populated area. If we meet a stand user and we have no choice but to fight, we need to find a isolated place away from anyone. That way we can deal with them without accidentally getting innocent bystanders involve or hurt.”
“You think that would be easy to do that?” Lightning Dust said while taking a sip from her coffee. “I’m pretty sure that some of them would be willing to do that, but most of them wouldn’t care if anyone got involved in the fight. Not to mention forcing them into an isolated area would be a challenge within itself.”
“We know, but it’s better than to have innocent bystanders hurt during the fight. Next rule is that we should be careful when using our stands out in the open. That means we can’t goof around with them.” Sunset said as she, Twilight, and Lightning Dust look over at Rainbow Dash with deadpanned expression.
“What? I wasn’t going to use my stand for stuff like that...well...maybe for pranking some of the students and helping me during soccer practice and games. But it’s not like I was going to use it to steal anything.”
“Which is why we’ll have Applejack keep an eye on you and Pinkie Pie so she can stop you from doing that.”
“What? It’s not like everyone can see these stands we have. You heard what Discord said.” Rainbow pointed out.
“Yes, but stands can also be seen by other stand users… and if you are using your stand to be pranking other students, one of those sixteen other stand users will know that you will have one and go for you next.” Sunset pointed out to her.
That just made her groan as she rolled her eyes. “You’re no fun, you know that right?”
Before Sunset could be able to respond though, all of them soon heard something on the news that caught their attention. “Good afternoon everyone, we have breaking news at this hour and what I’m about to tell you is really disturbing. During a raid on a warehouse that belonged to a street gang called “Basilisk”, police found a very gruesome scene inside. All of the gang members were found dead and brutally slaughtered, almost leading investigators to think that they somehow turned on one another in the events leading up to this bloody massacre. We’ll have more information for you on this story later on our 10 o’clock evening news. ”
“Wow...talk about a stroke of luck huh?”
“How is that suppose to be luck?” Lightning asked, before looking at Sunset and noticing something. “Uhh… Sunset? Is something on your mind?”
“Twilight, can you rewind the footage? Something about this whole thing seems…off.” She told them, looking back at the TV as Twilight did what she requested. Which confused Rainbow in the process.
“What’s off? We have a lead don’t we?”
“Yeah, but what’s confusing to me is how they ended up like that…” Sunset explained as she looked back at Rainbow. “Have you ever heard the saying thick as a band of thieves ?”
“...You do realize I don’t read that many books to know what you mean, right?”
Sunset sighed to herself before replying. “Well thanks for reminding me…anyways, the saying means that if a group like this street gang is thick as a band of thieves , it means that they treat each other like family and wouldn’t exactly betray or turn on one another, like what the news anchor just said…”
“So wait just a second…” Lightning interjected, looking back at Rainbow before having her gaze return to Sunset. “Are you saying that somehow…someone else actually killed all of them?”
“That’s the theory and I believe that someone is another stand user.” Sunset replied. “Because if they took on a gang like this and left them a bloody mess, that stand user would most likely be left unscathed.”
“Alright, so do we head over there and investigate or what?”
“Well, if this story recently broke out, cops would already be at the scene investigating so-.” Twilight said, before noticing that the TV went to static. “What the? What just happened?”
“Well the house is pretty much a wreck if you forgotten.” Rainbow Dash said as she points to some of the exposed wires sticking out from the walls. “...You girls don’t mind me crashing with anyone of you until things are...back to normal around here do you-.” Before anyone could answer, they saw the screen turn to black before seeing a set of vicious green eyes stare at them. Sending chills down their spine as they could see what looked like a demon stare at them. However, what really startled them was what happened next once they heard the figure speak.
“Death awaits you all .”
After that was said, a loud gunshot was heard as it barely missed Rainbow’s head. Shortly before the screen went to static and then turned to normal once more.
“Well...this is going to be one bizarre adventure we’ve been on.”
“Don’t you mean… we’re going on? Otherwise, that sounds like ill grammar.” Twilight corrected.
“I’ve been out for the past week and find out I have this weird power. I don’t need the grammar police on my ass after this.” Rainbow groaned as she looked back at Twilight with a set of narrowed eyes.
“Right… we should first tell the rest of the girls about this. I’ll call Pinkie and see if we can meet at Sugarcube Corner to talk about it.” Sunset replied, picking up her cell phones. “Oh and remember. Even though we have Stands, The Cutie Mark Crusaders don't. So that means we need to keep this as a secret amongst us for right now.”
“I’m pretty sure Scoots can keep a secret. Especially after what happen last night.” Rainbow told her. “Just let me tell her that we’re going out and we’ll be on our way to Sugarcube Corner.”
(Around Noon, Sugarcube Corner)
“Well, we did plan to meet here at noon, yet Rarity is still not here…” Rainbow groaned. “How much longer are we going to have to wait on her before we can talk about this!?”
“Calm down, Dash. She’s probably busy at the boutique. Ah had to do my chores before coming to meet you guys.” Applejack reminded her. “Now, what the hay is this I heard from Sunset about an emergency?”
“Twilight and Sunset can explain the situation better than I can.”
“Come on, Rainbow. You were there when we saw it… and when that shot almost hit your head.” Twilight added onto that statement, looking at Applejack. “We may have a lead on a new stand user that could be in the neighborhood… which may tie into the news about a street gang that was massacred.”
“Ah heard about that on the radio over here.” Applejack replied. “Now, what’s this have to do with the possibility of a new stand user though?”
“Pretty much this new person might either be using his powers for good, or for evil. We haven’t really decided on that one yet until we can find him or her.”
“Or for other reasons,” Sunset replied. “The only lead we have is just what was said before what happened… Death awaits you all . I would think that whoever this stand user is, they either have a stand that represents the Tarot card of Judgement or Death. Depending on what Rainbow was saying and whether or not this newcomer is using his powers for good or evil.”
Applejack scratched her chin as she looked at Fluttershy for a moment before looking back at Rainbow and the others. “Ya know… that phrase sounds almost like a reference to something. Because ah swear that ah thought ah heard something like that before.”
“Where have you heard that from?”
“Ah think it’s some darn game that Applebloom and her friends were playing… Ah now I remember. She, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Rumble and one other kid named Button Mash were participating in some big team tournament at the arcade for a video game that Apple Bloom told me was in Beta. They made it all the way to the finals and were doing well, but someone on the other team was using a character and… said that exact same phrase before being able to take out a third of their team in the blink of an eye.” Applejack said before looking at the girls. “What? I have a photographic memory. At times, it can be helpful.”
“So we got a wanna be bad guy that want to spread chaos and madness throughout the world?”
“Nah… It wouldn’t make sense. Why take out an entire gang if they wanted to be a bad guy?” Lightning pointed out. “My only thought would be if this individual had a reason for taking them out… Say, I think that’s Rarity crossing the street right now.” When Rainbow turned around, she indeed did see her friend cross the street with a spring in her step as she hurried over to them.
“Hey girls… sorry I’m late. I had a customer ask for a small patch up of his coat on the way out.” She replied. Some of the details that were said in that small sentence made some of her friends a little… curious. Especially Rainbow.
“Who’s the customer that asked for his coat to be patched up?”
“I remember that his first name was Swift… though I didn’t exactly ask for his last name… why do you ask, darling?” Rarity posed the question for her as she looked at the others while taking a seat at the table they were at.
“Just curious… We were looking into something that happened with the police recently and I was just wondering if you have seen anyone suspicious.” Rainbow replied back.
“If this is in regards to those two gangs that were found dead, then I don’t know what to tell you. I haven’t heard anything out of the ordinary other than what was said on the news and the radio this morning, dear.” She replied to her as she took a seat in between her and Applejack.
“Okay, so what we know already is that somehow, whoever this stand user is, it can project itself through screens and Applejack has heard of it before somewhere in a game that his sister has played… Honestly, I’m not sure how we can go off of this…” Twilight spoke up, trying to think to herself and process everything she knew. “Hang on… Applejack, you said that your sister and her friends were there when you heard it correct?”
“Yeah, what about it?”
“Well, my only thought would be that maybe one of them would know something that could help provide a clue as to what we’re dealing with.” Twilight replied. “I mean, from the sounds of it, this was a five on five competition similar to if it were a game of basketball, so someone on Applebloom’s team might know who or what would say that phrase.”
“That… is not a bad idea.” Sunset spoke up. “And they did host this at the arcade, so maybe asking some of the people that worked there could help us too.”
“Woah woah woah, wait a minute.” Lightning interjected. “How the hell are we going to find out what exactly were looking for at an arcade? Shouldn’t we… you know, investigate the crime scene from the other night?”
“There’s a likelihood that the cops are still investigating sugarcube,” Applejack replied. “Not to mention that they might have that area closed off to the public…”
“Oh… crap.”
“And this thing with the girls and the arcade is the only lead we have right now until we hear the police chief give a press conference on the incident,” Twilight added on since she remembered how Police Protocol was enforced with her brother being a Detective on the force. “But that only happens after they have some information regarding the investigation.”
“You know it just occurred to me that you guys are taking this whole stand thing pretty well...care to explain?” Rainbow replied, before noticing Rarity look over at Twilight and Sunset.”
“Darling… did you forget to inform Rainbow that all of us have Stands… We were all there when the Eclipse happened, so the same thing that happened to you, happened to us.” The Seamstress explained to her friend. “Sunset helped us all out along with Twilight because they already had stands by the time the Eclipse happened. So they weren’t affected like we were.”
“Geez, thanks for not informing me about this.”
“You were still getting used to it, sugarcube.” Applejack replied. “We all thought that it would be best for you to be comfortable with controlling your stand first before telling you. Besides, according to Twilight, you freaked out the first second you saw yours.”
“Um, who wouldn’t if they saw something like that appeared from out of nowhere?” She questioned. “Plus, Twilight and Sunset have said that there were sixteen unknown stands right now. How come you three can be stand users and not be accounted for with that list of hers?”
“Because they aren’t awakened yet, Rainbow.” Sunset cut her off. “Like with you when you first had Stargazer, their stands haven’t revealed themselves yet and right now, we don’t know what cards they represent. They’ll make their presences known in time, but we know that they are stand users because they were able to see our stands.”
“I guess that does make sense when you think about it.” Rainbow shrugged as she looked at the arcade that was across the street. Surprisingly, it looked like the owner was putting up a few life sized cutouts of characters from a particular game they were promoting… and one of them matched the green eyes that she saw on the television set earlier today. “Huh… that looks awfully familiar… naw!”
However, when she overheard some nearby kids talking, her original estimations soon changed. “Hey, did you see that Paladin’s tournament last weekend at the arcade?”
“Heck yeah I did, that one guy named Swift came in clutch late game for his team. Even got a triple kill late in the game, look,” For a moment, Rainbow ignored what the kids were talking about… but something immediately caught her attention rather quickly.
It was the sound of a gong… and… “DEATH AWAITS YOU ALL!! ”
“Holy crap man, how the hell is he so good with Androxus?” She heard the kids talk amongst themselves, but when she heard the previous question, she now had a possible new piece of information… a name.
“Androxus……”
Applejack looked up at her friend and raised an eyebrow. “Did you say something, Sugarcube?”
“Just that name. Androxus… sounds familiar.” She replied, trying to think on what she had just heard. Just as Rainbow was thinking this over though, she did not happen to notice someone in a black coat on a nearby rooftop. He had tan skin and also had pitch black hair as he waited for the call to kick in and connect.
By the time it synced, he could hear the other person on the line speak up. “Hey, it’s been too long since you were last suppose to call me. What the hell have you been-?”
“I found her.” The figure spoke, looking from the rooftop towards the tables by the bakery on the street as he took out a photograph that he had. It matched the appearance of the Rainbow haired girl that was sitting down at the table with her friends.
“A-are you serious!? You actually did?!”
“Yeah. I found the girl matching the description in the spirit photograph you gave me,” The person said again. “Turns out though that it’s more than just her that were affected by the eclipse. I placed a small listening device inside the purse of one of her friends when I was at their boutique earlier and from the sounds of it, several people they know also have Stands of their own.”
“Well, that definitely is a lot to process… Right now, just continue with your investigation into the incidents and only approach her when the time is right.”
The man chuckled, saying one last thing before turning off the phone. “Whatever you say, old man… she is your granddaughter after all.”
