Vengeance

Chapter Eight:

Bonding time.

Luna pulled up to a stop light and looked over at Rainbow who was resting her head against the window of her car. As the light changed from red to green signaling to go Luna smiled. Seeing that the Ice cream parlor was within a few blocks of where they were located Luna began to slow the car down to pull into the parking lot of the parlor. She looked over at Rainbow again and nudged her on the shoulder Rainbow looked up from the window and smiled as they came to ice cream parlor.  As Luna drove around the parking lot trying to find a space to park she said to Rainbow with everyone else in the care listening to them talk.

“If you like we can order our ice cream and you Rainbow can pick out the table or booth that would be a good place to sit while we eat.” Luna said as she found a parking place and pulled in.

Rainbow thought about this for a second before replying.

“Sure that would be great just remember I like honey butter ice cream and I was wondering would it be OK if I got two scoops instead of just one scoop?” Rainbow asked as she heard Fluttershy chime in.

“Of course it would be OK sweetie. I’ll even pay for it.” Fluttershy said as she and Rainbow both started to get out of the car.

Rainbow was so excited to get her ice cream that she didn’t see a young girl coming out of the parlor and ran right into her.  The girl was carrying a Styrofoam cup of ice cream which was now all over Rainbows shirt and on the sidewalk. Rainbow looked at the girl then at her shirt then back at the girl who had a look of utter shock on her face. Rainbow couldn’t help but, laugh as the young girl just stood there still shocked as to what just happened. The young girl was about to say something when Luna walked up and looked at the two of them then she too started laughing. The young girl was about to start crying when Rainbow laid a gentle hand on her shoulder and said to her.

“What’s your name kid?” Rainbow said as she looked at the kid then over at her friends.

“Flower Heart…. I am so sorry I got my ice cream all over you.” Flower Heart said as she looked at Rainbows messy shirt then down at the ground.

“Don’t you worry about it, it is only ice cream and I am sure it will come out with a few spins in the washing machine.” Rainbow said as she chuckled to herself while Fluttershy came up behind her and cleared her throat announcing her presses to her and Rainbow.

Turning around Rainbow said with a slightly sheepish grin on her face to Flower Heart.

“Flower Heart this is my girl friend Fluttershy, Fluttershy this is Flower Heart.”

“It’s nice to meet you Flower Heart Uh, Rainbow how did you get yourself so messy?” Fluttershy said as she looked at Rainbow then back at Flower Heart.

Rainbow grinned to Fluttershy then said to her.

“Well I was coming up to the front door Flutters and didn’t see the kid here and well….” Rainbows voice started to trail off as she heard Flower Heart say while she looked at the ground.

“That was good ice cream too. It was my favorite now it is all over you and the sidewalk too.” Flower Heart said as she looked down at the sidewalk then back up at Rainbow who just grinned.

“What flavor was it?” Asked Fluttershy as she looked at Flower Heart then at her girlfriend.

“Honey butter.” Flower Heart replied as she sighed deeply then looked at Rainbows messy shirt one more time.

“Really no kidding, I love that one! oh my name is Rainbow you uh want to come inside and join me my friends for a cup or two of ice cream Flower Heart?” Rainbow asked as she she smiled warmly to Flower Heart.

“You sure that is OK with your mom?” Flower Heart asked as she nodded towards Luna who was just coming up behind the three girls.

Rainbow looked at Luna then back a Flower Heart before Rainbow was able to get an answer the door to the parlour was opened. Rainbow suddenly found herself being shooed inside by both Fluttershy and Luna as Luna also shooed Flower Heart inside as well. Rainbow Dash thinking to herself as she walked up to the counter to get another cup of honey butter ice cream for Flower Heart.

“I guess being shooed in here with these three close behind me was the answer I was looking for?” Rainbow thought to herself as she stood at the counter to get a cup of ice cream for herself and Flower Heart.

Fluttershy turned to Rainbow who was still covered in ice cream and looked at her messy shirt then over at a nearby table for some napkins. She walked over to the table grabbed a large handful of napkins and brought them over to Rainbow who grinned happily at her. As she handed the napkins over to Rainbow she said to her.

“Come on let's find out where the bath is in this place. So that you can clean your shirt off.” Fluttershy said as she looked at Rainbow who stared back at her with a big smirk on her face.

“If you're looking for the bathroom it is down the hallway to your right.” An employee said as she looked at Rainbow then at Fluttershy.

Fluttershy smiled to her and thanked her then reached out taking Rainbows hand into her own. The two girls hurried off to the restroom while Luna and the rest of the group stayed in the dining room. Applejack and Rarity ordered strawberry banana splits. Pinkie got cookie dough and Luna order two large bowls of honey butter ice cream for Rainbow and Flower Heart to have. While she ordered mint for herself and Vanilla for Fluttershy. Luna knew that Fluttershy didn’t like all the fancy flavors of ice cream so she got her vanilla which Luna knew would make Fluttershy happy. When Fluttershy and Rainbow both got into the restroom they looked around to see if the coast was clear then Fluttershy said as she lifted up Rainbows shirt for her.

“You go use that stall and wait for me to clean your shirt with some water from the tap. I should only be a few minutes.” Fluttershy said as she took Rainbows shirt off of her then led her to the bathroom stall.

Before Rainbow entered it she looked at Fluttershy and asked her.

“Flutters are you…...are you OK with going out with me?”

Fluttershy thought for a second then walked over to Rainbow as she said to her while she pulled her in closely to her.

“Take my next actions towards you right now, honey as my answer to you.” Fluttershy said to Rainbow.

“Fluttershy I….” Rainbow started to say as she was cut off when Fluttershy pressed her lips tightly against hers kissing her passionately.

Rainbow ended the kiss then looked very very happy at Fluttershy for pulling her into her and kissing her passionately on the lips. Fluttershy smiled at Rainbow who blushed deeply as Fluttershy walked over to the sink and began to turn the hot water on just as someone was opening the door to the bathroom door. Rainbow not wanting to be seen nearly half naked immediately ducked into the stall and shut the door. Fluttershy paid little attention to the person that had walked into the bathroom and went on with  washing the garment that was in her hands. Once she was done with this task she tossed the shirt over the bathroom stall door and headed back out to the dining room. She quickly found Luna and the rest of the girls all sitting at a table near the back of the parlour and sat down in front of her. Luna looked at her then turned her gaze to the woman's restroom then back at Fluttershy.

“Where is Rainbow Dash if I may ask Fluttershy?” Luna said as she looked at Fluttershy who was beginning to blush deeply.

Fluttershy said as she was about to eat her ice cream.

“Rainbow is still in the bathroom getting her shirt back on. I left her in the second stall. I cleaned her shirt for her as best as I could I hope your not mad with me Luna for leaving her in there by herself.”

“No I am not mad with you I am how ever concerned about Rainbow being in there by herself. I want to make sure she is able to get dressed without our help is all.” Luna said as she looked at Fluttershy then down at her own bowl of ice cream.

“Umm, if you don’t mind me asking why would Rainbow need help? She seems like a person who can take care of herself.” Flower heart asked as she looked from Luna to Fluttershy then back to Luna.

Luna and the rest of the girls were all, a bit shocked by Flower Hearts question and were in turn each completely unsure as  how to answer it. Just as Luna was about to answer Flower Hearts question. Rainbow came out of the bathroom fully cleaned up. Rainbow found a seat next to Fluttershy and said to her as she sat down to eat her ice cream.

“Hey Flutter’s thanks for your help back there it really means a lot to me.” Rainbow said as she scooped up a bowl with her left hand while leaving her right hand on the table.

Luna looked down at her watch  and saw that it was Eleven in the morning. She then looked over at Rainbow and then turned her gaze to the rest of the girls as she said to them all.

“Girls It is almost time for us to go.” Luna said as she looked at each of them in turn.

Turning to Flower Heart Rainbow said to her with a smile on her face.

“Flower Heart, thank you for joining us for our ice cream outing. It was really nice to meet you. I look forward to meeting you again sometime in the future.” Rainbow said as she smiled at Flower Heart then looked at Fluttershy who in turn smiled back warmly.

“It was so nice to meet you all. And Rainbow again I am very sorry I got my ice cream all over you like that.” Flower Heart said as she stood up then smiled to each of the girls sitting at the table in front of her.

“Yes it was nice to meet you as well I too look forward to meeting you again in the future.” Fluttershy said to Flower Heart as she watched Flower Heart wipe the last bit of her ice cream off her mouth then smiled warmly at Fluttershy.

“It was sure good of y’all to have some good old ice cream with us Flower Heart I look forwards to doing it again some time.” Applejack said as she tipped her hat to Flower Heart.

“Yes darling thank you for joining us and I like my friends here look forward to meeting you again.” Rarity said as she looked at Flower Heart.

“Me too I want to spend more time with you as well it was really neat of you to join us for ice cream Flower Heart. I also look forward to meeting you again. Perhaps we can have a banking sale or something in the future?” Pinkie said as she beamed a big silly grin at Flower Heart who in turn said to her.

“I would like that very much, I need to get going now though I don’t want to keep my father waiting. It was so nice to meet all of you. I really do look forward to seeing you all again some time in the near future.” Flower Heart said as she turned to head for the front door of the ice cream parlor.

As Flower Heart headed out the door Luna looked at each of the five girls in front of her then said to them all.

“It is time for us to be heading out as well. I should drop you all off then I need to go check on Sunset and see how she is doing. I promise to call each of you in turn to let you know if anything has changed since you last saw her.” Luna said as she got up then waited for everyone else to get up as well.

Rainbow was the last one to get up as she smiled to everyone Rainbow said to everyone as she headed for the front door of the ice cream shop.

“It really was nice meeting Flower Heart wasn’t I can’t wait to meet her again.” Rainbow as she felt Fluttershy gently take a hold of her left hand in her own hand.

Looking over to Fluttershy Rainbow smiled to her warmly asking her as she held her hand in her own and gently squeezed her hand.

“Fluttershy what would you like to do when we get home?” Rainbow asked as she saw Fluttershy smile greatly to her and blush a deep red.

Rainbow  also smiled greatly back at Fluttershy then the two of them headed to the front door of the parlor. Rainbow pushed the front door of the ice cream parlor shop open and began to walk towards Luna’s van. As Rainbow walked by the van she saw Flower Heart a few feet away  and waved to her, her goodbyes for the day. Flower Heart saw Rainbow waving to her and returned the gesture with a quick wave of her own. Rainbow and the rest of the girls all piled into the van and Luna got in then started up the engine and headed to Rainbows home first being that it was closer than the other girls home were.
