       Weather or Not

        Prologue:

       Clouds.

They can be such a curious thing, from taking vague forms of objects we see everyday to turning into raging torrents of rain and thunder.  Unfortunately, today would be towards the latter option.

The pegasus really outdid themselves with the most wicked thunderstorm on record, those violent cracks in the sky lighting up the night like miniature split second suns.

"Twilight!" a small voice rings out from behind. Of course, it could only be Spike, tending to the candles bathing the inside of the library aglow with golden light.

"You should really come in, Twilight, it looks pretty nasty out there" cries Spike.

"Don't worry, Spike, I'll be in soon. I just want to observe this firsthand, the most powerful storm ever created by pegasus." As soon as she finished her sentence, a bolt crashed a couple feet from the large tree she resides in, nearly deafening her completely.

Twilight decides to finally close the door, having had her fill of the cacophony of natures fury.

                 Meanwhile in Cloudsdale

"You guys make sure those clouds are pouring correctly, we don't want any clogged up clouds." Dash screamed to her weather crew over the increasingly loud sounds caused by the near hurricane level chaos occuring in Cloudsdale.

"Aye aye Dash" They screamed back, before flying off to deal with their orders given.

"I certainly have my work cut out for me, but its nothing that I can't handle" Dash thought to herself, reveling in the glory of the storm around her.

"This is really something, then again I did help make this best storm ever, so it's only natural that its this awesome!" boasts Dash, even though there is no one to congratulate her on said feat.

"he.....lp......me......"

Dash's ear perked up at the faint cry, although unsure if she was really hearing what she thought she was.

HELP ME!!!!

Dash immediately jumps into action, frantically searching for the source of distress until she spots a young pegasus. No more than a filly, cllinging to side of a cloud sure to be blown away any minute.

"I'M COMING" yelled Dash to the foal, taking off at high speed, streaking through the air like her name infers. Violent rain and wind stung Dash's eyes, making her wish she had brought her flight goggles along with her.

Mere seconds was all Dash had to save the little filly, as even a small gale would be enough to push her off the tiny cloud.

Then, just as Dash was nearing her destination, a severe wind picked up, tossing Dash in the opposite direction. After righting herself, shes glanced worriedly in the direction she had been heading.......the small cloud was empty!

Filled with panic, Dash flew towards the cloud, looking downwards towards the cold earth beneath. Sure enough, the filly was on a straight pummet to what was surely her end.

Without thought, the spectrum haired pegasus bolted towards the ground, at speeds unlike she had ever gone before, the rain shattering from sheer force and the lightning struggling to keep up.

The ground neared faster and faster, imminent doom approaching. "Faster" Dash thought.

"I HAVE TO GO FASTER, OR I'LL NEVER MAKE IT!" Dash cried out. She suddenly was overcome with a sensation she was very familiar with, having performed the legendary stunt so many times before. The Sonic Rainboom was just what she needed to do this. She had no other option, so she sped up to meet it's conditions, she could feel air compress around her, the spectral barrier cracking from her speed.

The filly was almost at the ground, the end almost nigh, But Dash knew she could make it.

The air lets loose a deafening crash, literally shaking the the atmosphere around her, a giant rainbow colored halo exploding outward from the where Dash had been flying.

As the filly was literally just feet off the ground, Dash reached out to grasp the small childs hand just inches away.

Closer and closer, the panic ever building, until...........

Grasping the small child, Dash attempted orient herself to help minmize damage to herself and her newfound passenger. Landing in a nearby fern, Dash bounces out with her rescued target, safe and sound sleeping on her back,  surely exhausted from her endeavor.

Just then,  a wave of bad feelings came over her, like a sense that something was very wrong. She turned her gaze to the sky, her rainbow trail still very much present.  However, there was something about the halo left by The Sonic Rainboom, it was compressing into a smaller size, with a small light pouring out from the middle.

"Uh oh" said Dash, unsure what to make of the situation. "Maybe Twilight will know what to do" she thought. After picking up her little passenger, she broke into a run towards her friends library, hoping for some answers.....
