Chapter 1: What did they just f**k with

The year is 2034, humanity has become better, the economy has become better for the people. The government is being lead by someone competent. Now the reason humanity has become great is because of Equestria, they showed us peace and harmony, plus two all mighty goddesses that could exterminate us like ants, which might turn a few heads the other way.

Now for Equestria it has been only 2 years so humanity really got it's shit together in that time. There are still a few people who don't like Equestrians, though those people are quieted down by those who like the ponies.

Anyway, the black market has expanded into Equestria, they're stronger than ever, Equestrians are now wanted by most of the big rich guys as "pets", it's weird, but the market for trafficking there is huge.

Many humans are now living in Equestria in peace and harmony, even a few ex assassins.

Now in the Crystal Empire princess Cadence, and Shining Armor, were sleeping soundly in their bed.

The room was as you all might guess was made of of blue crystals that shined with the moonlight, though not enough to wake them up, more of a serenity.

The floor was made of a rainbow made from different colors of crystal spiraling from the walls to the middle of the floor. There were assorted cabinets and mirrors, what you would see in most bedrooms, even a bathroom right next to the room. The bed had purple sheets and purple pillows made out of the smoothest silk, the mattress was supper cozy guaranteeing a good night's rest, except for tonight though.

Shining gave a heavy groan and woke up, he quietly said, "Darn, I gotta go."

He slowly rose up and slid off the bed, he walked out of the bedroom and to the bathroom. After about 30 minutes of sleeping on the toilet he walked out only to see three people carrying a unconscious Cadence to a helicopter.

The helicopter looked very high tech and it made almost no sounds, on the side of the copter was two snakes strangling a pony's neck. One of the men looked right at Shining, all of their faces were covered by assorted animal masks, he shouted.

"Shoot him you apes!" The other two men looked at him and pulled out of their shirts two sub machine guns and fired, Shining dove back into the bathroom making the bullets miss him, though by the time they ran out of ammo the helicopter was already leaving with them and Cadence.

He ran to the balcony and shouted, "CADENCE NOOOOOOOOOO!"

But it was too late, she was gone. Two guards broke down the door sears at the ready, one asked, "Sir, what happened?"

Shining looks at them and says, "Cadence is gone." He looks down and a single tear goes down his cheek.

The next day:

Shining was sitting at the dining table of the castle, one of the maids already feed and put Flurry Heart for a nap. Shining was holding a glass of wine with his magic, it was his first glass so he isn't drunk, but still sad.

He hears the door open and a crystal pony walks in, "Sir, mister Aks is here." The door opens a bit more and a human walks in, he's wearing a standard black suit with a solid red necktie, he had very fancy dress shoes that were also black. His face was white with green eyes, he had a large, but thin scar down his right cheek.

His hair was nice and neat, it swirled a bit in the back and swooped through the right side of his forehead, he was also well tanned, basically he was eye candy. He asked in a very smooth and slightly strict voice.

"Shining, what's wrong?"

He looks right at him and says, "Cadence was taken by a couple of humans in a one of those new stealth helicopters. I-I still can't believe it, who would do something like that?"

He sat down in the chair next to Shining and asked, "Were there any kind of logos on the helicopter?"

"Yes, it had two snakes chocking a pony, oh sweet Celestia, what if they are hurting her."

Aks said, "Shining, I think I know who took your wife."

"Ya right, she could be anywhere by now."

"They are located right here in the Crystal Empire."

"Wait. H-How do you know this?"

"Long story, I'm gonna go get some answers, just get a glass of wine for me when I get back, and maybe a new suit depending on how it goes."

Shining was just staring at him, Aks sat up and walked out, "What did he mean by a new suit?"

2 hours later:

Shining was in the throne room signing some paperwork, it was about whether he should let Cadence's disappearance go public, he wrote no, for now.

A guard opened the giant door the the throne room and said, "Sir, Aks is here, but, um, well you just have to see him."

The door opened up a bit more and Aks entered, his collar was stained with blood, and he had was holding a suitcase with handcuffs on it, including the hand of the person who last had it. His hands were covered in dried blood, though the rest of him was absolutely neat.

"What happened?" Asked Shining.

"In this suitcase is where they took Cadence, now how's about one of your guards gets me a fucking cocktail?"

The guard next to him nodded and left, "Cadence is well, she's already on Earth, in the Tower sadly."

"What's the Tower?"

"It is the headquarters of the biggest underworld crime boss to ever live, I've worked with him a couple of times, but he is an absolute asshole."

"You worked for a crime boss?! And why is there a hand on that suitcase?!"

"Well, it was heavily guarded and I... Put them to bed so to speak, there were almost 20 of them there."

"What?!"

"I gave the guy who had the suitcase a chance to survive if he gave me the suitcase, he let me cut off his hand."

"Where is he?"

"Well, I honestly don't know, after I shot him in the head the cleaners took care of the rest."

"What are cleaners?!"

"They clean up crimes, from a big warehouse of 23 bodies and covered in blood to a now rentable and very clean warehouse."

"You killed them?! But you said you have never even held a gun!"

"I lied, after I retired I took a new life here, little did I know I would be friends with the royal family, nor did I think I would have to ever go back to that world. I'm 24, I've worked for 3 years, and I was already known far and wide, do you know my underworld name?"

"No, do I wanna know?"

"Yes and I think you heard of me, they called me the... The Sandman, my target always went to sleep. For good, now come with me to the basement if you wanna see your wife again."

Aks walked out grabbing the cocktail on the way, "And bring a sledge hammer!" Shouted Aks.

Shining shrugged and joined Aks, with the sledge hammer. The basement wasn't made out of the shiny crystals we see in the show, but more of a darker green crystal, there were cells all on the sides, now they are empty at the moment, but that's not where Aks and Shining are going.

They're going to a far dark corner of the armory, there were three guards getting their gear off, Aks said, "Beat it, I got work here."

One of them asked, "Who is gonna back you up?"

Shining Armor comes up and says, "That's an order."

"Yes sir!" They shouted and left. Aks handed Shining the drink and grabbed the sledge hammer. He took the hammer and slammed the ground over and over again for about 20 minutes.

"So Aks, where is this Tower with my wife?"

"It's -ergh, in New York, luckily the Continental is located there to."

"What's the Continental?"

"It's a hotel for the underworld, that is one of the only places where you can't be hunted. It's the rules. If you don't obey the rules, well I honestly don't know, anyone who broke them never lived very long after. Though that place is very fancy, perfect for the high level operatives, like me.

Don't worry, I've done stuff like this before, trust me and Cadence will return alive."

"I'd be very mad at you for lying to me all those years about who you were, but since you're getting my wife back I won't be mad, does it allow Flurry Heart?"

"Um, I am not sure, though you can be guaranteed they won't attack here again."

"What makes you say that?"

"Well, for one this place just increased security by a crap ton. They will be trying to AVOID this place. Don't worry, she'll be alright, I talked with the staff, she is in good.... Hoofs. Ya I'm going with hoo-" He was cut short by hitting something wood.

Aks cleared some of the broken crystals and pulled on the old handle. The whole box lifted up, it wasn't enough to leave the floor, but now he can reach it.

It was a spruce chest, it was nicely polished for being underground for all that time. There was a pin pad on the front of the box, "You can not tell anyone what's in here, just close it after we are done."

"Sure, what's inside?"

"These." Aks opened the chest revealing all the guns, ammo, gold coins, and another suit with body armor in it. There were 2 pistols, 3 grenades, 10 rolls of gold coins with 50 coins in each, there was also a custom sniper riffle that can't be identified.

The vest was kevlar under a solid black silk. There were assorted bullets and ammo all around the sides. "This is what made me the 7 billion dollars I live on."

"7 billion?! How many jobs have you done again?"

"237, to be exact."

"And that's in 3 years you said?"

"Yup." He says cocking his magnum.

"I can see how you got all that cash. When do we leave?"

"As soon as you can get a bag together we can leave."

"Really, what about you?"

"I have all I need here." He gets a duffle bag from the back of the chest and fluffs it out, he puts his guns in it as Shining says.

"I'll go get my bag, just give me an hour."

"Why an hour?"

"I need time to say good bye to Flurry Heart, and I need 45 minutes to decide what I'm gonna bring."

"Alright, 1 hour, then we take my personal jet."

"Wait, you have a jet?"

"Yes, and some very nice ladies."

"Ah, so you... Helped them?" He said winking.

"Oh no, I treat them with respect, I haven't done anything like that to my staff. I don't want anything to do with anything with a lawsuit, they see anything, me in a newspaper picture, a news story, anything they could see and I'd have to disappear again, like I did from Mexico to Equestria."

"What did you do in Mexico?"

"Me and a few other amigo's promised what we did there, stays there. Relax, that one didn't have me kill anybody."

"Okay, I'll see you in an hour."

"See you."

Shining walked away as Aks said, "45 minutes to pack a bag? Wow, please don't let it all be cloths."
